The Times Cinema: what do users think?

Christy D. Washington: The Times Cinema has been a Milwaukee movie house classic since 1935! The Times has shown many of the great cinema classics over the years. The Christmas classic Its a Wonderful Life is a yearly event at the Times at Christmas. The concessions such as the buttered popcorn are very fresh and delicious. Also, check out the Rosebud Cinema Drafthouse and Avalon Atmospheric Theater which are own by the same business the Neighborhood Theater Group. The Times, Avalon, and Oriental are the only three remaining movie theaters in Milwaukee!

Christianne Varela: Great restoration, huge screen, clean, friendly. Has QR code on the attached swing tables to order food. Like, real food... pizza, burgers, fried chix... Nice! Will be a regular!

Joann Bielinski: The remodel is nice, but they need two separate lines for admissions and snacks. We paid extra to get our tickets online and waited in the same line as everyone else.

Melanie Hinchey: Great old theater, comfortable chairs and fun environment for everyone.

Nata Delgado: Great movie selection of foreign, indie, Althouse, etc.

christopher romano: First time. Caught of screening of Holy Mountain. Staff was great. Real clean. Real cozy. Can't wait to catch something else cool there.

Kelly Price: Cute, local theatre with great popcorn and unique movie offerings!

Amanda Viers: Some of the better sound out of the small local theatres.

JP Maschke: Great movie shown here last week for the MKE Film Festival! Good recliner chairs 💺 in a small theater.

Jenna Miller: Love their programming and comfy velvet seats.

Mike Harloff: Very comfortable seats and the absolute best popcorn of all the theaters.

Vee Bell: 15 minutes before what is, fortuitously, my wife's favorite movie of all time

Sonia Koehler: Rated only 4 stars because I had the absolute worst chicken strips and fries of my life there. Dry, chewy, burnt and flavorless. Have no idea how they managed to mess up chicken tenders of all things. I didn’t say anything because I was hungry and listless, but next time instead of wasting $11 dollars on that I’ll just get some popcorn lol.

Jaron Kolinski: Staff was amazing and super kind!

Aimee Wiley: Gorgeous lobby, good sound in the theaters, not the most comfortable seats, but it's totally worth it. A true Milwaukee gem!

Christianne Varela: Jaw dropping restoration. Thoroughly enjoyed our viewings during the 2024 MKE Film Festival.

Mary: Excellent Shows!

Jane: One of my favorite places to catch a movie. Amazing architecture

Onyeukwu Chinomso: Good cinema to go

Cindy C: Beautiful quaint theatre with a boba shop right next door! They have restroom out at front and tickets are at a fair price.

James Gearhart: Great theater and fun staff.

Fitzgerald Scott: Nice!!!

KJ Severin: Top tier showings - not only are there current features, but also independent releases, revitalized classics, and other notable films of cinema history.

No More: Easily the best theater I have ever been too. You could watch paint dry here and be happy.

With three screens, 35mm and 70mm capabilities in the main house, DLOP digital projection and sound, full-service concessions and bar offerings, and its ornate East Indian décor, the Oriental Theatre is consistently recognized as one of the top movie palaces in the countryGreat visits and experiences await

R S: , since the theatre is very old. Remodeled recently with all new seats, large ladies restroom in lobby along with other WC including wheelchair accessible. The sound system is new and if you become a member of one of the largest non-profit film clubs in the country the tickets and refreshments are discounted.

Avalon Atmospheric Theater: what do users think?

Brad Mintie: The theatre, ordering from seats, and film were amazing. The cranky woman who insisted we stand outside for an hour instead of enjoying the lounge that was open, not so much.

Jim: This is how all cinemas should be!Great atmosphere watching films in what feels like the courtyard of an Italian outdoor theatre under a starry sky.Comfortable rocker seats and nice little bar serving cocktails with prompt service to your seat throughout the film.

Emily VanOpdorp: I booked a private screening event at the Avalon and we had the absolute best experience! The event was a birthday celebration for my brother, who is nonspeaking and on the autism spectrum. Each person I talked with was so wonderful and easy to work with- it's not very often you find a place that will support a truly sensory friendly event and the staff at the Avalon went above and beyond! Thank you, thank you, thank you for allowing us the flexibility to give him the best sensory experience possible.

The Borg Cooking Show: Best movie theatre in Milwaukee.Although I can't recommend the "Nashville Hot" Chicken sandwich. It's about as Nashville as New DelhiHamburger 3.8/10Chicken tenders 8.5/10BBQ sauce ??/10 what the absolute nonsense is that sauce. No like I'm actually curious what that sauce is.

Mary Trotter: An experience! Our favorite theater. Beautiful, historic interior with good popcorn, excellent sound system and a sparkling night sky. Go!

R L: Loved this theater and happy to see MKEFILM taking over! Can't wait for what's to come!

Montel Jackson: Love this place

Jim Ward: Love the Downer....easy access, friendly staff.

Mason V Samuels: Indie film mecha. well organized, good size. And of course concessions. We cam here for the women talking film a few months ago. Such a good selection of films. And I agree with the last reviewer, it's quaint.

Matthew Francis: Never let this place die

Jaime Cano Lopez: My favorite movie theater in Milwaukee

James Adair: Beautiful old theatre

Mitchell Lange: Cool theatre with grear snacks and drinks.

Kyle McHugh: Great spot to watch a movie, one of my favorite theaters in the Milwaukee area. Saw Antman Quantumania here. It was a good vibe. It was way to dark when the movie started i could barely find my way out.

J Rice: Great staff. Delicious popcorn. Nice vibe.

Jon Gilbertson: Great theater of an old-fashioned variety, showing artful movies.

Molly Zabrowski: A small theater that shows Indie films. The building is older, quaint, yet well maintained. You walk into a small lobby and concession stand. Popcorn, Nachos, candy, soda and mixed drinks are options to purchase. There are 2 theaters, one to either side of the concession stand. Bathrooms are clean and tidy.

Tom O'Sullivan: If you live in mke, just go here. When you can. Great atmosphere, well curated movie selection. Cool events, wish I could go upstairs

The Deacon: Situated in a nice neighborhood, nearby restaurants and coffee shops. Inside nice and clean and employees very welcoming. Definitely good spot for a first date.
