Saint Kate - The Arts Hotel: what do users think?

Valeria Gonzalez: My fiancé and I wanted to stop in Milwaukee for a night just to visit the city and needed a reasonably priced but comfortable hotel and Saint Kate is the best you can get! Madelyn from the front desk was so accommodating, provided us with anything we needed and also recommended great places to eat and drink within walking distance. The room was clean and AC worked perfectly, bed was comfy and our view was also great. Our experience was awesome and would definitely visit again!

Liv: My absolute favorite hotel to date! I loved the artsy vibe. The staff were so nice and helpful. Complementary champagne upon check-in to boot. The views, the location, everything. The bed was so comfy, too, lol. I'm definitely staying here again!Noteworthy details: There's an art gallery on the ground floor open to the public.

Dan Gross: My wife and I have traveled around the world, staying at many of the finest, most famous, luxury hotels, and we can honestly say that this is one of the greatest experiences we've ever had. To say it was perfect would actually be an understatement. We were surprised and delighted over and over again. The one unfortunate thing is that we were only there for one night! We will definitely be back! Even if we have to return to Milwaukee just for that purpose it will be worth it!

Kelsey H: This was… fine but didn’t totally live up to my hopes? Room layout was nice and the space is beautiful overall, though mine showed some wear and tear. We were here Thursday - Saturday and some of the galleries were closed for a changeout for most of our trip. The lobby/restaurant/bar area is SO LOUD - we didn’t really get to enjoy it because it was consistently so overwhelming. Room service menu is weirdly limited - no way to order beverages through the app with breakfast? The location was great and the parking worked well.Overall I would stay here again for the right price, but this was a slight splurge for us even compared to some other downtown hotels we considered, and I don’t think it was worth going out of our way for.Walkability: Super convenient/walkable to activities as well as bus and streetcar lines.Food & drinks: No ability to order coffee/tea/soda for breakfast as part of room service.

Hotel Metro, Autograph Collection: what do users think?

Tony Kinnett: The hotel is very nicely kept, and one of the better in the Autograph Collection. The star of this stay is undoubtedly the service. The front desk staff and the cleaning/maintenance crew were friendly, thorough, and well beyond what I'd expect at a chain like this. Given the opportunity, I will be staying here whenever in Milwaukee in the future.

M Taylor: This is an independent hotel boutique that is part of the Marriott Bonvoy Program. I did receive an upgrade to a Presidents suite, but don't be confused because they have several of them. The decor of the room is nice but it is not new, it is starting to show some wear and tear. The climate control is not great as it is an older building with forced radiator heat that you cannot turn off. The AC could not cool the room as needed for us at night. Valet parking is $40, there is local self parking nearby for less than $20. There are several great restaurants nearby. I give 3 stars when I am satisfied with my experience but would not go out of my way to return. I would stay at a different property on my next trip.

Flip Flop Guy: Very nice rooms! Clean and modernized with a warm feeling to them. Staff was friendly and valet prompt! A few unique drawback’s experienced would be that the room temp was too warm and no matter the setting, would not lower. The television also didn’t display anything but movie channels and local channels. The casting didn’t work either. Finally, there was the sound of music bass well past midnight that could be heard. I am not sure if that was the very cool pufferfish tiki bar on the sixth floor or a place across the street. Made for a tough sleep. All in all though, a very nice hotel and one we would definitely visit again!

Kendell Solorzano: Great location and the valet Todd is so friendly and service oriented! We love staying here for work trips. Rooms are great!Rooms: Rooms are huge and modern. Nice snacks, coffee and amenities! Lots of plugs and chargers.

Justin Gauvin: Decor in lobby matches the rooms. However couches in the rooms are too square and not comfortableWe had a Suite and couldn't have guests stay in our living room...Food & drinks: The restaurant Oogies has fabulous breakfast, non hotel guests were eating there.

Jennifer Dettlo: We stayed here for the second time this past weekend and--once again--Hotel Metro was just phenomenal. The building is so cute--everything is super clean, chic and inviting----but the staff is what really shines. The ladies at the front desk/reception were so helpful and kind to us we....but everyone who works here is amazing. We were just so impressed by the level of service and the straight-up kindness we were shown we will be back for a third stay! Excellent job Hotel Metro!

Scott V: Overall I call this a very nice hotel for a 5 night stay. We were upgraded to the presidential suite giving us a cozy fireplace and extra seating. For a room as big as this and one for 5 days I'm baffled by how little closet space there is.Decor is so nice, makes you feel as though you are back in the 1930'sStaff is super nice. Had some very good recommendations for local places to visit.Walkability: Close to the 3rd Ward in one direction and the entertainment district the other direction.

Tyler Bosh: Rooms: 5/5

Ethan James Kretlow (Eton Kretlow): So goodSafety: OkayFood & drinks: Good

Latrez H: This hotel is really good. It’s kind of like a old-school back in the 1960s vibe with a modern twist but it’s crazy because everything is real good the vibe the food the drinks the room everything is really elegant and nice plus it’s downtown in the center of everything in MILWAUKEE I think they got another one in New York if I’m not mistaken, but you gotta check it out. This is definitely one of the top hotels in downtown MILWAUKEE, you get waited on hand and foot from the time you get out the car until the time you get to your room even after that, there’s always someone that’s there to help you throughout your whole stay you got like a personal maid or bails men

Taylor Barstow: Gorgeous house museum. First floor focuses on furnishings showing how the family lived plus a diverse and global art collection procured by the Allis family. Upper floor is more minimalist, showcasing temporary exhibits and contemporary local artists. This dual-function house means locals can return with confidence that they’ll see something new each time. And visitors and locals can glimpse into the past thanks to the first floor. Admission here gets you admission to the Villa Terrace Museum, just make sure you obtain proof of ticket purchase. Or even better - purchase a membership! Recommend!

Whitney and Matsaya Photography: I absolutely adore photographing events at the Villa Terrace and it is one of my favorite venues in Wisconsin. My favorite part is that everything can take place on location - you never have to leave the venue for portraits because it's already filled with gorgeous views. It makes it super convenient and saves time! The only bummer is that the earliest you have access to the venue is at 3PM so your wedding timeline is very limited. Amplified music has to end by 10:30 PM and The Villa can only hold so many guests. For an intimate celebration, however, this would be a fantastic venue choice.

McSnooty's Gallery of Fine Art - Save Milwaukee: what do users think?

Isabell Esparza-greengrass: Very fun to figure out the puzzles and trying to escape i might come back here again.

Dixie Sisson: This was my first escape room. I teamed with my family, and we had a blast! We weren't able to solve quite everything, but we learned a lot about how to approach these moving forward. The puzzles are clever and the people running things behind the scenes were wonderful. Highly recommend for a fun experience!

Abby Janiszewski: . Definitely would check out another Save Milwaukee escape room!

Jeremy Goss: make it through with the kids but not insanely difficult for all ages.

Sean Coyle: Great experience and really engaging! Staff is great as well and extremely helpful. I highly recommend checking out McSnooty’s. We will definitely be trying out The Device room in the future as well!

Michelle Prudlow: What a fun family experience! We all worked together to stop crime and saved Milwaukee 😉! Our host was very kind! Would highly recommend for a fun outing with family &/or friends!

Kelly Flowers: Very fun with a great variety of things to solve, not just a bunch of number combos like some other rooms

Carrie Pruhs: with 3+ minutes to spare. They really want to solve the other mission that's offered in the Third Ward. Please note: you get a code to get into the building and your 60 minutes immediately starts. There is no check in or lobby - at least at the Brady St. location, you literally walk into the room and no other people are in sight - so be aware that it starts the moment you unlock the door to get in!

Carol King: My team has done 30+ escape rooms and Mc Snooty’s provided by far the best immersive experience start to finish that we have experienced. Super fun. Thanks for the great story and challenging clues!

Adrian Love: Best escape room out of the handful I've participated in. It will be hard to top this one though. Excellent use of multiple types of logic puzzles to figure out. If you're team was like mine, your last 15 minutes should be full of exciting moments and a hopeful catching of the mastermind!

HoneyDew Improvements: . I highly recommend it as a great team building exercise or just a fun night out with friends. It's also a very large room that has direct access to the street, so it's great for large groups or anyone with a slight fear of being enclosed in small spaces. Well done on another amazing escape room!

Julie Colletti: As soon as we entered the door the timer started. It was a very different experience! Usually you get the story before the game, but this one unfolded after! It was just 3 of us and we escaped with 21 minutes left! I recommend trying it!

Dr. Anntoinettemarie Williams: Had a great time at McSnootys. We had 5 people in our group. I loved the mystery and suspense. We didn't solve the mystery however we bonded and that was all worth it. We'll get em next time. 🤪. If you attend remember you only have 60 mins and look at and under everything for clues

Schuster Mansion Bed & Breakfast: what do users think?

Rosemary Notz: The place is gorgeous. A very cool historical mansion to stay in, truly. Laura Sue's breakfast was aaabsolutely amazing.Occasionally we did feel a bit hovered over and child-like with the way that we were corrected for every little move we made that was not correct. I found myself feeling a bit nervous around the hostess because of this. But I guess that's my own problem? It was also a little odd that the accomodations booklet in the room said something to the affect of "need bottled water? No problem! Just ask." And then when I asked Rick, I was told "I'll have to charge you for it." Okay then, nevermind hahah. Maybe add "no problem! For a fee of __ we can offer you some." The wording was misleading for sure.We left with a beautiful tea cup that we purchased from the little store in the mansion, which made me super happy. Overall it was a good experience.Walkability: Able to walk the quick 15 minutes to our venue.Food & drinks: Breakfast was exquisite.

Courtney Francois: I took my mom for High Tea on her Bornday. They gave her a crown. You pick out the tea cup you would like to drink out of. We had 7 teas to try and an assortment of finger food. You will definitely need a real meal afterwards.Great experience and ambience! We shopped the store before we left and I got her the tea she liked the most as a to go gift. I would do this again. The owners were great! Very elegant. Great experience!!

Robert Cummings: This place is what service is all about. When we were checking in they asked what type of car and color. I told them I had a Kia. Right away Laura Sue got up and fetched a steering wheel lock. She then told me that Kia's are notoriously easy to steal and she did not want our weekend to be interrupted or distressed. She asked us when we wanted to eat breakfast and offered 4 different options for our cooked to order breakfast. She also asked us if we wanted coffee to tea delivered to our room in the morning. And the place is an amazing old mansion with incredibly high ceilings. They have the rounded corners where the ceiling meets the wall. And it is all painted. Just like a museum piece.Do yourself a favor and pick the deluxe service and you will not be disappointed.

Patricia Tarleton: We really loved our stay at the mansion! Laura Sue and Rick were so welcoming. They did an amazing job making us feel welcome in their home. They were so friendly, it felt like we were staying with family, in the very best way. The breakfasts were delicious, our favorite was the strata with the French toast. It was super cozy to have tea and coffee in our room first thing in the morning. We loved having a sitting room to hang out in. There are so many little touches that were beautiful and most pieces had some kind of historic value as well. It was fun to walk around the mansion and see all the lovely little touches Laura Sue has put in each area. You can tell that this has been a labor of love for the Mosiers. We wish them well in all their future endeavors!Rooms: The rooms are all beautiful and unique! We enjoyed seeing all the different decor and historic pieces through out the mansion.Nearby activities: The third Ward is just a few miles away. There are many opportunities for shopping, dining, and site seeing! We enjoyed the 3rd Ward Market, the River Walk, the Public Library, the Milwaukee Domes, and the beautiful architecture.Walkability: We walked down to the 3rd Ward every day we were there. There are sidewalks the entire way. It was a pleasant walk although maybe a little long for some people.

Samm Krause: Fair pricing..wonderful decor...owners go out of their way to ensure your stay is the most pleasant you can have...easy to get toNoteworthy details: Wonderful atmosphere...its like going back in time

Sandra Tisdale: I have visited many times. The hospitality is superb. All the rooms are elegant and cozy. Breakfast is tasty. The caretakers Laura Sue and Rick are very hospitable.Nearby activities: It is not far from theaters, museums, Brewer's, and Bucks stadium. The Rave is right down the road. You can drive, take Uber or even the city bus.Noteworthy details: It is a Victorian motif and is very elegant. When you walk in you forget where you are.

Hannah Lewandowski: We went for high tea to catch up with our friends and family! We had an amazing time. We loved all the photo opportunities, the tea, the food, and the historical presentation. It was like we were thrown back into time!! We will definitely be back! 📸☕️ ❤️Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Luxury …

K: After arriving in Milwaukee after several hours of driving across multiple states, we needed to find a place to stay for a few days. We decided to check out the Schuster Mansion Bed & Breakfast and it was one of the best decision we ever made!Owners, Rick and Laura Sue, were incredibly kind and accommodating! They went out of their way with no hesitation to arrange for last minute additional stays, as well as a very early morning phone call when we desperately needed to come back due to complications related to the move. The entire experience was very memorable — from the Victorian themed rooms and living areas, exceptional breakfast meals that we were served, and enjoyable conversations with the owners about the history of the mansion, among other topics. The mansion is also very close to downtown Milwaukee and to where we moved. We’ll be highly recommending the mansion to our family and friends. Thank you Rick and Laura Sue from the bottom of our hearts ❤️

Charlotte McDonald: took my girlfriend to this lovely bread and breakfast. the owners were very personable and took great care of us during our stay. our stay took place in the pais suite, it was luxurious and romantic for just 2 people. the breakfast came with 4 different options for a main course which i thought was very nice. and a bunch of juice options. overall our stay was great, especially just for a night. i definitely would recommend staying here if you are looking for a weekend getaway. also great for concert/sports game goers since it's 10 minutes from the Fiserv Forum!

Ginger Risner: We had a wonderful experience at the Schuster Mansion. The owners are warm and friendly, which made the experience even better. The mansion is beautifully done and maintained. It was a fantastic experience and one of the highlights on our road trip around Wisconsin. We'll try to stay there every time we're in Wisconsin!

john walch: We were given a gift certificate here for our wedding and it turned out to be an amazing present! The home is beautiful, truly museum quality. The room, and the entire property, was very clean and well maintained. The owners were very friendly and the food was beautifully presented. We look forward to returning on a future visit to Milwaukee.

The Iron Horse Hotel: what do users think?

K Star: Super cool place! Amazing rooms and service was awesome. Dinner was great, excellent Old Fashioneds and spectacular breakfast. I will stay here again when in Milwaukee. Also very close to HD museum.Rooms: Rooms are modern and upscale.

Erica Kelly: Had an amazing experience at the Iron Horse Hotel.Unfortunately, I only had the opportunity to stay for one night with a small group but I would've stayed longer if I could and will definitely be back!First, the staff is incredibly hospitable, and friendly. My group was pretty small, maybe 10-14 rooms and they treated us like royalty from the front desk, to management, to bar service to culinary and breakfast and the giftshop/store.Second, the hotel itself was so nice. I didn't know what to expect prior to my arrival, knowing that this hotel was influenced by Harley Davidson, but it was done in such a classy elegant way. You really appreciate the esthetic when you walk up the stairs, into the lobby with the hotel scent and the layout/décor throughout the property. This hotel really takes so many local influences into account and I feel like I was able to experience so much of Milwaukee in the hotel, from the 1 night I was there.Thank you so much for such a delightful experience, I can't wait to go back and suggest this hotel to anyone staying in or near Milwaukee.

Katelyn Roach: . Smells like man spiced deodorant in the entrance lobby… think Negroni in aerosol form. Everyone was extremely pleasant. Rooms were clean and quiet. All that being said, the restaurant food needs help. For $98, we ordered 2 burgers, 1 coke, caesar salad, calamari, and 1 fried chicken sandwich. For the quality I’d say price point is about 30% over priced. Burgers were very mid, chicken was good, salad was fine, but the calamari… just no. Iron Horse Hotel you were great, but please remove the calamari from your menu immediately. For $16, we received small insignificant crumbs, not fresh, and the dressing was this strange cranberry relish that wasn’t even dippable. If I was in a mood I’d have sent it back or asked for it to be removed from my tab, but I did not.I recommend Iron Horse as a nice place to stay, however you’re better off just going up the road to St. Paul’s Fish Company at the public market for a fresh dinner.
