Andrew Ferguson: We absolutely loved having our event at The Box, and planning with Jamie Berger and Levine was such a treat! We originally had our wedding celebration planned for May of 2020, then due to covid moved to October 2020, then once again to October of 2021. They could not have been more accommodating for us moving our event 2x, during a time where their business I am sure was taking a hit due to the pandemic. Both Jamie’s were always incredibly responsive and accommodating to whatever we needed during the whole process.When it came the day of, they came in even a bit earlier than our contract time to make sure the band could setup on time. During the actual event, I don’t think it could have possibly gone smoother than it did. Our manager Katelynn had everything under control, the bartenders were great and our guests never had to wait for a drink, and when it came tear down time Katelynn had helped pack all of our decorations so we could continue to go and enjoy ourselves.Thanks again to both Jamie and Jaime for helping us have such an amazing day, and would 1000% recommend using The Box for any sort of event.
Cathy Fischer: We hosted our daughter's wedding ceremony at The Box this past weekend. Working with Jamie Berger was an absolute joy. She was so accommodating, had great insight for setup and was so helpful with decisions at Rehearsal and a major player on Wedding Day. Jamie has a warm personality mixed with humor that chased all my anxiety away. We had a wedding party of 16 in addition to the Bride and Groom and had seating for 170 at the Ceremony and the venue was plenty spacious. I would highly recommend The Box for an event and couldn't be more pleased with our experience.
Cindy Cooper: Can’t rave enough about having my daughter’s wedding at The Box last weekend! I worked with Jamie Berger so I knew I was in good hands. I can’t even imagine all the work that went into getting the space ready. All I know is that when we walked in I knew my daughter’s vision had come to life. Jamie nailed the ambience. The staff that night was excellent —- very quick to remove any dirty dishes or glasses. All seemed very friendly and dressed well. The bartenders were particularly fun. For me, it was a great experience from beginning to end. I highly recommend The Box!

The venue is beautiful with the Cream City Brick wall and massive square footage. I worked with Jaime Levine. She was very attentive to all of the details for my Grandma’s special day. I appreciated her and Autumn’s assistance. I highly recommend this venue… as you won’t be disappointed!
Sam Boyle: Where do I begin? First of all, Jaime and her staff were very friendly and willing to work with us with everything going on with the pandemic. They were gracious enough to let us postpone our party until the following year which allowed us to get our whole family to the party. Leading up to the party, they helped us with everything we could think of along the way. From planning to catering to working with the band that we hired. My wife and I couldn't be happier with how everything went, and everyone that attended said they loved the venue. Highly recommend!
Amarii Hall: The Box is an absolute gem in the city of Milwaukee. Not only is it in the heart of downtown, but it also is the perfect venue for your next event. I love the versatility this space has and there is so much room for creativity. Being in contact with the owners and coordinators of the space has truly been an eventful experience and I would highly recommend getting to know them. My event was pushed back one day because of the Bucks finals and they were more than understanding, they were flexible. If you're looking for a space to have your event with a perfect set up and a welcoming environment, this is the place for you. 10/10, would recommend.

With this being a whole new experience for me, she made sure I had everything I needed and took care of everything behind the scenes. distinct person: Went to A Taylor Swift Tribute Concert. It was fantastic. I really don't know Taylor Swift songs that well but my date loves them. And to have them performed by a quartet in a candlelit setting was really original and special. Plus they had a "Travis Swift" specialty drink that was original and delicious. And idk if it happens all the time, but for the last 2 songs they let us sing along and take pics.The quartet was excellent. I loved their intros to the songs and the arrangements were great. I would have loved to talk to them afterwards and take some pics. But they disappeared right away. Waited around but they never came back.

Otherwise, there is a parking lot adjacent to the building.Not only that, I find it special when the chef comes out to show their gratitude and socialize with the guests. Chef David was gregarious and hung out with us as we meandered room to room. You can tell he takes great pride in what he’s created with his incredible team. The stories behind each artifact to why he chose what dishes to make, it kept me entertained for hours.

The staff went above and beyond to bring our vision to life.From the walk through to see the space, to the special sit down with the Chef to curate a meal based on our food preferences we loved our experience.We highly recommend renting out the lower level for your guests to explore even more and get a richer experience with the unique touches the Chef put into that building!Chef David we felt the love made in our food especially the Beef Bourguignon and hope so many more guests get to experience the same.

Kevin Golliher: We used this venue for my sister's memorial service. It was a great atmosphere, the space has great character. The staff was friendly and helpful, even when we couldn't get people to leave on time. My mother uses a walker and it was a little rough getting her into the building. Once inside she was fine, including a handicapped bathroom on the main floor. I would book this venue again.
Michelle: We recently rented out the boat house for our small fall wedding and it's a great location and a great price. We would rent here again in the future. It's also a great way to support the park systems we all love to enjoy

Chase Schachenman: Irene’s catered our wedding in June 2023, you should 100% choose them as your wedding caterer! Mark was great to work with and quick to respond to all of our questions. We had several dietary accommodations and they worked hard to accommodate everyone, including when we had a last minute change with a guest that didn’t report a restriction, which was greatly appreciated!We went with appetizer stations and a dinner buffet with a seated salad option, which I’d highly recommend! The food was delicious, the staff were friendly and helpful, and they moved everyone through the buffet efficiently! A lot of our guests commented how great the food was during and after the event. Everyone loved the meatball appetizer! The staff makes sure that the bride and groom get a plate of their appetizers and take home food afterwards which is thoughtful. If you’re on the fence, go with Irene’s!
Meg Voss: Long story short: you need to choose Irene’s for your wedding caterer! The food and service were top notch! Mark was oh-so helpful and responsive throughout the entire planning process! The food was delicious and so reasonably priced! Our guests told us our apps in particular were wonderful! One guest said the beef we served at dinner was the best beef he’s ever had! ALL of the food was wonderful and if that alone doesn’t sell you, the service was even better! One of the servers was so kind she made me cry tears of joy! I truly can’t say enough positive things about Irene’s, so you’re just going to have to book them and see for yourself! 10/10 recommend!

All the wait staff were super friendly and very attentive. Ethan Luoma: Mark was very professional for our tasting and setting up our menu for our wedding. Day of the wedding, the set up crew was prompt and had everything set up and ready to go. I only left a star off due to the bartending. The company does outsource the bartending through a different company. Our bartenders did leave us after cocktail hour and we had to have our own family and friends bartend the rest of the night. I called and spoke with Tim post wedding about our situation and he was very sincere about what happened. Overall the food was great and our guests ranted about how good it was. Overlook our little inconvenience with the bartending and consider Irene's for your future catering. Hands down the best food and top notch service!

From the beginning of the process to the end, they were extremely professional and always answered any little question I had. Mark was so helpful as the day came closer, checking in to make sure everything was in order so the day would run smoothly. The serving staff at the wedding was top notch. They were all hard working and very kind. I appreciated that they made to-go boxes of food at the start so that we had something to eat after the wedding was over. I also loved that when it was my turn to go to the buffet, that one of the servers walked with me and held my plate so I didn’t have to worry about holding or spilling it. Little things like that truly make a company stand out from the rest. The staff went above and beyond that night doing things that weren’t necessarily apart of their job duties, like cutting the cake and helping us light our candles. I liked that their prices were clear during the tasting, so we knew exactly what we were getting and for what cost. We received so many compliments on our food and are so grateful that we went with Irene’s and were able to have a stress free wedding day.

Kristen Arveson: the most elegant and glamorous greenery/draping for the huge outdoor gazebo at Pere Marquette Park for our ceremony. It was truly the perfect backdrop for our wedding. The inside of our venue was so dreamy as well with the additional greenery added to the stairwells and railings. They also communicated and coordinated extremely well with the other vendors which meant we were able to truly enjoy our wedding day without having to make any last minute decisions. We did our florals through them, which they were able to repurpose between ceremonies. We also were able to rent everything we needed through Ambrosia too! We worked mostly with Oscar and Meriah - they are the dream team!! Communication was always fast and they made the breakdown of our invoice very easy to understand. They really transformed the space and the setup for everything was more beautiful than we could have even imagined.

We gave him our vision and what we were thinking, and he and his team pulled it together working with another event designer/decorations company. I used him for flower arrangements at my church ceremony and for most of my decorations at the reception. The flower arrangements were huge and exactly what I wanted! The way that his staff can decorate a wedding made my dreams come to life of everything I ever wanted for a wedding. The communication was also amazing! Very quick and detailed. I love that there are so many options and you can really make your wedding dinner however you want it to be! I just want to say how lovely it was working with Michelle. She was so quick to answer emails, and she was so helpful when we were picking out linens and honestly the details for the table! I really loved getting our linens through Saz’s - they were so beautiful and just added to the space even more! The staff was incredible at our wedding, and some of our guests even commented on that as well! I really loved when we sat down for dinner and had an appetizer plate waiting for us! The food was amazing - it was identical to our tasting, if not better ! It was 110% worth the investment!

Shannon Marusik (Countdowntocampingseason): What an experience in the heart of Milwaukee! Great host, nice, safe setting complete with authentic tacos and real margaritas. They did an excellent job and my group couldn't have been happier with then end result of our board painting and dinner. Excellent value for this experience. A true gem.
Milwaukee Towns Collectibles: 4 & 3/4 stars, food was delicious & love the whole restaurant but always thinking there is room to improve & develop new dishes. First time I have ate @ “RedTaco” kind pricey, but you get what you pay for. Definitely feel like I could keep talking about this place, plenty more to try on the extended menu.
Shira Mizel: This place and the staff are fantastic! I came here as part of a girls trip for my birthday and they were wonderful to work with. We had a private class with Francesca and it was a blast! Most of us had never really painted but somehow we all went home with a great looking painting. The catering from Red Tacos went super smoothly and it was lovely to eat amazing Mexican food while we waited for the canvases to dry. Highly recommend for your next event!

But anyway, if you're looking for more to do than just sit in a bar or watch TV, this is definitely recommended. No experience or skill required. I have already registered for a class during Frida Fest in July. Looking forward to more classes. I would make this at least monthly outing when more classes are able to be scheduled. Give it a whirl!
