1StopMom: Iron Grate is one of my favorite restaurants to go to for BBQ. I used to love their hot links, but they changed the recipe about a year ago. They do not taste the same.My go to order is usually the pork belly burnt ends, grits and greens. My husband likes the rib tips and the mac and cheese. We are not a fan of their baked beans though. They are a little bitter to me.The combo is really great way to taste a few items from the menu.The housemade drinks are very good. Four cocktails for $40 is a deal. The Pitmaster Punch is my favorite!Update: The drinks are no longer available, issues with plastic jugs.

Martin Roberts: Stopped at the 'Smoke Shack' for some BBQ meat when exploring the Third Ward. I was seated and handed the menu only to be told the Beef Brisket was still in the smoker as they'd had a busy weekend. I was a tad disappointed, as this is what I was hoping to eat, but the Pulled Pork Shoulder I had instead was delicious. The ambience inside the 'Shack' was good authentic American and service was good too. I'll have to return one day for that illusive Brisket.

Our waitress, Norah, was great, especially dealing with our large group. I had the two meat platter, with brisket and burnt ends. The brisket was very good, and the burnt ends were great! Definitely the highlight for all of those who had them. They have a nice whiskey selection as well.

The brisket was basically how brisket should be made. Tender and not overdone on the seasoning. You can actually taste the quality of the meat.I can’t believe I’m saying this, but the chicken was honestly the best part to me, thanks to that Alabama white sauce. I took one bite of the chicken with the sauce and I didn’t stop until it was gone.Can’t forget about the mac and cheese. It was honestly very good.I really liked the look of the place, as well as how polite my waiter was. I highly recommend this place to anyone who’s looking for some phenomenal bbq.
Jacob D: Quit sleepin on Doc’s Commerce Smokehouse! Some of the best barbecue we’ve had up here in the north. With phenomenal food, service and atmosphere, what’s not to love? We had the brisket, ribs, pulled pork sandwich and smoked chicken - all of which were awesome 👏🏼Overall the space is quite large, so ideal if you have a large party. Plus a huge bar with plenty of TVs to watch sports. Great spot to hit up before going to the Fiserv Forum whether it be for a Bucks game, concert or whatever! You definitely need to check out Doc’s for great bbq.Oh and did I mention they have an incredible whiskey selection? Buffalo Trace included

The restaurant's mature decor exuded sophisticated, 'grown and sexy' vibes.Ray, our server, was outstanding. Prompt, knowledgeable about the menu, and charming, he made our experience memorable.Following Ray's suggestion, I started with the crab cake, which was good but not the best I've had--still, I'd rate it an 8/10. For my main course, I opted for the blackened chicken Caesar salad, with an addition of cucumbers, although they were missing from the plate. Despite this, the salad was phenomenal, earning a solid 10/10.To top off our evening, we indulged in a phenomenal key lime pie to-go, which was simply divine--another 10/10!Thank you, Carsons, for a delightful evening. I highly recommend it and look forward to returning to explore more of the menu!

We had reservations for 4:00, but it didn't start getting busy until 5:00/5:30.I ordered the steak kebab, because I thought the portion would be smaller than the cuts of meat that were $20+ more. Well, I still ended up with a lot leftovers. Portions are generous, and everything tasted great. The coleslaw that comes with the meal was really good; finely chopped and creamy.Our server was kind and attentive.Total bill for 3 with full entrees and 2 drinks each was $315. They do automatically add a 18% gratuity onto the check, but do a good job of making sure you know it.Everything was great! We'll be back.

Fera Cruentus: I was craving pulled ham, and I saw they had it on their menu. I've always seen them suggested, so they've been on my list to try as well. The smashed potatoes are delicious, lots of butter. The fries were pretty basic with a heavier hand of salt but not overly salty. My ham sandwich was good, and I tried all the sauces & ended up mixing sauces just like my server told me was her go to. It's definitely a place I'd go back to to try the other things on the menu or if the craving for ham strikes again. Only mild complaint is that drinks had a heavy helping of ice & could have used a refill earlier because of it; but our server was running table to table non-stop, so not neglectful but simply busy.Oh for those with kids, the activity book kept them busy. 5 stars on that for sure. Would have liked a few more kids meal options, but luckily my kids said they weren't hungry & would have probably went with chicken strips had they been.

Morgan Corley: This is a pretty good barbecue place in the Milwaukee-land area. We had a party of 3 on a Saturday night, 35 minute wait. No biggie at all, I work in service myself, and I understand how the industry works. When we were seated, we promptly ordered our drinks and the bacon-wrapped meatballs, which came pretty quick. Bacon was perfectly cooked and you could definitely tell they were homemade. We then ordered our meals, which also came out in a timely manner. We all ordered different meats and sides so that we could try a little bit of everything, and most of it was pretty good. The best meat we had was the sliced brisket and the best side was probably the coleslaw, which came with the meal. It had this sweet sauce and was different than most coleslaws, seemed to have real and fresh vegetables in it. The server brought many different types of barbecue sauces, so you could mix/choose the one you liked best. Overall, the meats were good, but the sides we had were nothing to rave about. Plus, the atmosphere was more of a sushi/japanese restaurant and unlike a barbecue joint.The service was great. Our waiter was super kind and all of our food came out quick. 4/5 stars for the decent food and amazing service, but one star docked for the atmosphere and mediocre sides.

Elizabeth Tatum: I have lived near this place my whole life and heard great things about the food. I am an avid bbq person, kinda particular on where I get it from because it is hard to find a good bbq spot here in the city.I can say that I was pleasantly surprised that the bbq tasted alright. Very smoky, which can be overwhelming to some. I like to taste the grilled flavor and the natural smokiness in my bbq meats and I got that flavor in the ribs. I ordered the ribs combo w/beans and potato salad, but they didn't have any salad so I had to get the slaw. I didn't so much enjoy the beans though. Everything else was fine. I would like to try something different from the menu, so I will return to do that. I waited about 30 mins to get my food, which is a long time, but it was around 9pm when I placed my order and only 1 person preparing the food, so I understand. Just had a taste for bbq and wanted to try Conways out!Overall nice spot, just come early and be prepared for the smokiness!

Amber Stjohn: I had a tasting with Arma for an event I’m looking to cater. I’m not sure what the standard protocol is, but I really feel she went ABOVE and beyond. Her customer service and personal skills are top tier. She patiently walked us through everything, answering all of our questions and made great suggestions throughout the whole process. My family and I had such a wonderful experience and we hope to get to work with her again in the future!
Flawless Love (Flawless Love): I don’t like the barbecue baked beans with brisket flavor is way off but the Maggie’s Mac and cheese is super delicious 🤤 but the price is insane for the large container customers should get way more for the price of the Mac and cheese ! Other than that super delicious and the half yard bird is better !
Brandon Begotka: I was in town for an event and needed a quick dinner but wanted higher quality than fast food. This was the perfect choice. It took less time than most fast food restaurants to get my food and the servers were very friendly and efficient. While I ate, two servers checked on me at perfect intervals and all of the food was high quality, tasty and pleasantly filling. I had the pulled chicken with corn bread and macaroni and cheese. All had good flavor without being overly salty. I would definitely repeat.

Food was absolutely amazing, every part of the meal including the fries. Service was great, everyone was working hard back in the open kitchen. Amosphere was awesome, I'm Canadian but I really enjoyed the national anthem at mid-day I think it's very true to the roots of what I believe this place wants to represent. Hard to believe it was a chain when they told me, I'll definitely be looking to hit another one next time I'm state side.

Paige Havel: I really can’t say enough great things about this place. The food is off the charts amazing, but Jonas and Amy are really the stars of the show. You can tell just how passionate they are about what they do. It was Amy’s birthday when we visited and they had cupcakes and treats as an added bonus to the already incredible meal. Jonas convinced us to go outside our comfort zone and try something new and I’m sure glad he did. The beef tri tips were phenomenal! 100/10- Will definitely be back soon!

The filling in the cakes was plentiful and yummy and the sesame ball was just SLIGHTLY crunchy on the outside, just perfect. The duck had to be reheated in the oven but it was fantastic. There was half a duck head in the box, which didn't look too tasty so I did not attempt to eat it LOL.I rendered some of the skin with some onions and froze them. I'm thinking those onions will go inside of a baked good of some sort one day but we'll see.I'll be back!!!!

Several years ago my brother and I failed to make Thanksgiving dinner plans for the 2 of us. We drove all around Waukesha looking for an open restaurant with lights on.We came upon Pat's and inquired if they were open. They were not, they were celebrating a private family meal. However, they invited my brother and I in, gave us "to go" containers and let us help ourselves to the buffet. Oh, and we got the most delicious peach cobbler too. It was a most interesting and heartwarming experience of community in Waukesha. The true meaning of Thanksgiving. ❤

The last time we came by it was 5-ish on Friday night and we waited for about 40 minutes for our to-go order but we didn't call ahead either.It sucks that they're only open 2 days a week but I think they're being smart about how much they're able to do with their current staffing numbers. My favorite sauces are for sure the Brown Brown and Special sauces, definitely give them a try.The building itself is missing business signs for each rental unit unfortunately but it is WORTH the search and they currently have a banner to help you find it. Can't wait to see how they grow their business!

Abby Ryder: More expensive than I had anticipated. But over all it was good, the sauces and the sweet corn bites were exceptionally awesome! The meat was less flavorfull than I had hoped but otherwise it was a great experience. And the food came out so quick!

Oriel61: The sour cream and chive fries are scrumptious. Cheese curds are perfectly crisp. The mozzarella wontons are good I suppose, if you like that sort of thing. I myself prefer breaded mozzarella sticks. The loaded fries are good, but there was something sweet under them that I did not like. Their special sauce is sweet and tangy, not a fan of it.
Pete Walsh: The 4 patty build-yer-own Angus burger with American cheese slices in the middle of each patty was unbelievably amazing. Very juicy with just the perfect amount of grease oozing.It was so good, I ordered another one 20 min later.Kaitlan, our server, did a fantastic job with our party of 4.Milwaukee water was clear and refreshing.We got done eating and went straight to Saz's circle bar and had a few more rounds.Looking forward to another visit to Saz's State House

T Bone: The ribeye I had wasn't very good. It was stringy & quite fatty. I also don't understand it being topped with onion rings with a side of au jus.The staff was awesome! They're very friendly & attentive even when it was busy.I will be returning very soon to give their ribs a taste. I'll keep you posted on that.
1badruckus: Went to Pitch's as we are traveling around the state trying out all its' supper clubs. Pitch's was on the list and didn't disappoint. Service was absolutely incredible. The wait staff consistently checked on us and made sure our glasses were filled and needs met. With ribs being advertised as their specialty i went thinking the dining room would be far more casual than it was. The dining room was very clean, with proper linens and such. The food was good but I would not describe it as great. I had the trio which included ribs, shrimp and sicilian breaded steak. the ribs were excellent, the shrimp was good, but I felt the steak could have used seasoning. That being said, I have never had sicilian steak before so I could be off on my assessment. One of our party asked if they had any specialty olives for their drink and the waitress said she could stuff some olives with blue cheese for us. Wow, who volunteers anymore? I would venture a guess that most places would have said no. The prices were also very reasonable for what we had. Finally, we asked to have our picture taken with the owner, Jimmy Picciurro, the third generation owner, and we had a short chat with him. He was very polite and accommodating. We've had other owners who have seemed to be put out by the request. We will be going back.Thanks Pitch's.
