Courtney Fredericks: My 10 year old son has trained here for just under a year. He started out new to it all and has quickly gained more confidence and made friends with a ton of kids on the fight team. The coaches are amazing, they truly care about their fighters/students. My 16 year old daughter and I started training with the adults the staff and coaches treat everyone as equals, they expect you to work hard and encourage you to be the best you can be. We are there so much that it is basically our second home and the coaches and staff feel like extended family.It is a great place to help teach kids and adults self discipline, respect and self defense. I would recommend this gym to anyone.
Cameo Perdue: . Don’t expect a father, although they can give fatherly guidance. Don’t expect a movie-like coach experience, although I’ve seen them help people live a movie. It’s really up to you what you make the experience. The fight business ain’t pretty but they prepare you for it. Depending on what you want to achieve, they will provide value in the appropriate manner. But they WILL hold you accountable. Duke is in many ways a principled man, a man’s man, and none of us are perfect but because he strives for excellence, he will demand it from you too. If you are a casual visitor looking to be active and get in shape or learn to defend yourself, this will be a great experience for you. If you are an aspiring fighter, expect to WORK. If you take it easy, things will become hard, but if you go hard, things will become easy. When you choose to become a fighter, you are making a decision to become a stand-alone business, the stakes change. Nothing was ever achieved without adversity, so he will forge you through the fire, don’t expect to know how and don’t expect to be coddled. Just expect to EARN your keep, expect value in elite fight knowledge, character building and wisdom as a cherry on top. If you want to be a master of your mind, a master of your body and a champion, Duke will draw the calculated savage out of you.

While each gym has had things I liked, Roufusport is the first gym that has checked all the boxes for me:- Friendly environment- classes 7 days a week- follows a curriculum- people of all sizes and skill levels- great for anyone who wants to compete or just train for fun.I moved to Milwaukee from South Florida last summer without knowing anyone in town. All the Jiu-jitsu coaches have fostered an environment that makes me forget I'm so far from home. I am especially thankful that as a small woman, I have a safe space to train. The coaches also go out of their way to make everyone in class feel important and genuinely take the time to give their attention to all students. Not only are the coaches completely in love with the sport, but it is clear that they are very passionate about passing the knowledge down to anyone who steps on the mat. My 2 young sons and husband did Jujitsu and I did Kickboxing. It very quickly felt like a second home to us. The coaches and staff were always very kind and professional and we all left having a great workout.We are all taking a break from class while the pandemic dies down, but are very excited to get back.I highly recommend the kids Jujitsu classes! Donald Hoeft: I consider myself to be in pretty good shape. In addition to being a martial artist I also compete in running races and triathlons. When Hanshi mentioned doing classes online I knew I would get good technique lessons but thought that fitness-wise it would be very easy. I was wrong! The classes have been physically demanding from both a cardiovascular and strength perspective. I've taken three days of classes this week and am actually pretty sore from them. This is proving to be a great way to stay fit.

Of course, stuff happens, you text them to let them know you can’t make it, but you always want to make it…you made that commitment. It keeps you going.Kickboxing class lasts an hour. You sweat, stretch and pound the hell out of the bag. With the new IMPACT system in place, your workout intensity is measured. You get to track your own personal progress. Sometimes I am amazed at what I’ve done, and sometimes I know that I’m not at my best.I would highly recommend giving MAA Kickboxing a try. Best decision I’ve made.

My kids and I love the classes and instruction, and that's a testament to the hard work and dedication of the instructors and staff who love what they do and care. Samer Sultan: Martial Arts America is a great dojo for students of all ages and abilities. My daughter started there in the Spring of 2015, she has had a great time learning Karate. The teachers at MAA are really supportive and understanding of kids, and they do their best to help the kids get the most out of the program.I would highly recommend giving it a try.
Elham Kiblawi: is the best place to be in so far, you get the attention that any student is looking for, it is not just a place to visit and leave, it becomes a part of your life style faster than you think, the Kickboxing program that they have is amazing, can't thank the instructors enough for their daily motivation and encouragement, it has been a great experience that I gained since i started with the program that is physically and mentally challenging and it is a great release from the daily pressures.I do take Karate classes there too, and it is great because it helped me improve my flexibility, concentration, focus it is more than Karate; leadership, respect, discipline, confident, self defense and other skills with the attention you get from the instructors specially Hanshi Roberto Serrano
Kari Opichka: I have taught aerobics for years, ran 1/2 marathons, and competed in triathlons and haven't found a better workout until now. The martial arts classes really challenge my body and soul.

The Gracie Combatives is the only way to learn this most efficacious self defense without all the worries and fears that may accompany any new student.The greatest obstacle I had was that I was so out of shape that I couldn't dream of learning how every other school would teach this martial art. The Gracie Combatives program is perfect for out of shape desk workers like me!Many also have injuries over the years that keep them from taking on anything else physically. The way the program is set up it is all about keeping you safe and injury free. This is so different from all other ways of learning Jiu-Jitsu that I wish I knew about this far sooner!I could go on and on. While I have only done a handful of classes so far and I already feel more confident and safer out in the world.Now for the instructors: Have you ever had the thought that someone was just meant to be in their profession? They’re just so passionate and good at it that you couldn’t imagine them doing anything else? That’s Skye and Diane. They have this amazing ability to take a topic that could be triggering for some and make it into the safest place you’ve ever been.
