Michael B: Jenn is the best! Every training session was fun, engaging, and left my puppy exhausted! I’m so proud of all that she’s accomplished during our time with Jenn. Scheduling is simple and Jenn will work with your schedule if you have to cancel last minute. We started when my puppy was 12 weeks old and is now 6 months, I can’t believe all that she’s learned and retained! Tons of great resources, games, tips, and your personal puppy cheerleader! Definitely recommend Jenn for your puppy training, you won’t regret it!

We just finished our last session and the progress has been outstanding. Leann is super accommodating, and very knowledgeable. She gave us the tools and confidence we needed to continue Milo's training even further. Highly recommend, very worth the price.
Eileen Hopkins: We loved working with Jenn! She was patient and gentle with Claude and he loved being with her. She guided him through some of his hesitations and nerves to get him on the path to be a much better leash walker while providing me with the tools to continue our practice. She has empowered him to make good choices on his own inside so that he can learn to relax with me in the evenings. Claude struggles with his confidence, but Jenn has given me tips to help him be brave. Could not recommend Ms. Jenn more and I know Claude will be hoping it’s her the next time the doorbell rings.

After each appointment she would send us a summary with "homework" for our animals which was an excellent tool and very thoughtful.They will work with you to understand the issues you need to work on and teach you how to work on those using positive reinfocement with your animals. Lexi Rakowski: I had a really positive experience bringing in my new puppy. Chris made sure to ask everyone every week if there were new things that came up for us that needed work, and she offered really good advice on ways to problem solve. She also reminded us to focus on the things that our pups are doing well and not focus on all of the things that need additional work, since puppy blues are a real thing! I felt like I was building a team with my puppy and that I was being trained as well. I am going back for the next class to keep working on having a well mannered dog. I would recommend Happy Tails to anyone who has a puppy!

The Milwaukee Dog Training Club, located at 4375 N. Humboldt Blvd. in Milwaukee, WI (behind the location of the old Wisconsin Humane Society) was founded in 1929. In 2005 we opened our new, indoor location at 333 N. 25th St., also in Milwaukee. Today we lay claim to being the oldest dog training club in the Midwest.
We offer classes in obedience, agility, flyball, tracking and are involved in many other fun events & activities. Obedience training is on Sunday mornings year round, and either Wednesday evenings (Summer) or Wednesday & Thursday evenings (Winter) depending on the season. Visitors are welcome at all of our training sessions.
We are a not-for-profit hobby club with a group of experienced and knowledgeable dog enthusiasts serving as instructors. We are licensed by the American Kennel Club (AKC), and our training program is based on the AKC trial rules and regulations. This type of program not only permits you to enter American Kennel Club competitions (if you so desire), but also develops a well-mannered dog for everyday urban living.
The MDTC prides itself in promoting responsible dog ownership and care by offering the Milwaukee community low-cost, much needed dog obedience classes. Membership is open to adults 16 and over, accepting both purebred and mixed breed dogs ages 6 months and older.

They know what they're talking about! They do a great job explaining things and showing you if needed. They don't mess around and can come off very abrupt, but its for everyone's safety and success. I like it here so far! Got a 6 month membership for an affordable price.
bonnie mclean: that we rescued. Sweetest dogs but uncontrollable while walking on leashes. Went through some private trainers and things actually became worse. A neighbor suggested I visit Milwaukee Dog Training Club. Life changing for our family! I just completed the basic class and will start Beginning on Sunday. Never thought it could be so much fun training a dog. Excited to keep going and move up.The cost is so much less than any class or trainer we have used in the past. We signed up for the annual membership and can take all the classes we want for no additional fees. They offer several different kinds of classes other than Obedience. There is Agility, Flyball, Tracking and Puppy Classes. And, they have an indoor and an outdoor location!Just can't say enough, how thrilled we are that we found them.

Stacie Coleman: Chaz is one of a kind. You won’t find another dog trainer like him. One of the best things about him is that he’s super passionate about what he does. We brought our 2 dogs in because one of them, our blue Heeler puppy, had started biting and becoming aggressive due to his protective nature.By the time our sessions were through Gibbs was no longer anxious around other people and was obeying our commands even better than our other dog.The training isn’t for the dogs, it’s really for the owners. And now our family is confident we can take Gibbs with us without worrying about him since we now know what to do. So glad we didn’t waste more money on another trainer.Thanks for everything Chaz!!!
Ken Luebke: I can't say enough about Chas. He is the best. The way he communicates with the dog and the dog owner. I thought I would have to rule with an iron fist. although you have to gain the respect of the dog he showed me that i can get a lot further faster with positive reinforcement.I am amazed at how far my dog has come. I am at my final full lesson and am confident that I will be able to safely have my dog off leash which was my goal in the beginning, but even more important I cant believe the bond I now have with my dog.Thanks again Chas don't ever retire!

Erick Wyszkowski: Chaz's methods are different from the trainers we went to for our previous dogs. The one on one training time is very valuable and he trains the handler as well as the dog. My puppy is only 9 months old and has exceeded the expectations I had for him and is head and shoulders better than my previous dogs. I initially reached out to Chaz because I wanted to train my dog for scent work for hunting and he customized the training program for my needs and my dog is doing great!

My dog is a completely different from the dog that we brought to Chaz 2 months ago. I couldn’t recommend him enough.

After our first class we saw a change in him immediately. The trainer Chas is very knowledgeable, patient, passionate and lots of fun. After only 6 of our 11 50-minute private classes our Benny is a new dog, he is now non-reactive, obedient, not anxious and an absolute pleasure to walk. If you are looking for a life changing trainer Chas is it. I cannot recommend him enough. I cannot end this review without a shout out to Pazazz, Chas's cute, fluffy assistant trainer.PS - we had taken Benny to another local trainer who actually called him an idiot and said he couldn't be trained, don't waste your money with inadequate trainers and go straight to Dogs Best Friend.

Jo Anne Taylor: Wag the Dog was recommended to us by a family who experienced success using positive reinforcement. We had a serious concern with our pup and began training. Training is an important part of creating a livable situation for our family.It has to be said “we were trained” so we could train our pup. Understanding his needs, reading his emotional cues and learning to communicate with our pup has greatly improved.Using their strategies has made life so much better in our household. We required home visits and step by step support to work through the difficulties. On occasion we encounter a few ‘bumps in the road’ but we know how to manage them effectively from our training. The initial online meeting was very helpful to discuss current behavior, behaviors to watch for and discuss possible triggers. We were then given homework and had a follow-up home visit. Additional follow-up check-ins were always available.

The support throughout is something we cannot say enough good things about.Victoria has never given up and was so committed to figuring out our dog's behavior with us. She was kind enough to even let us take a few breaks as needed to recharge and refocus.Victoria was seriously our biggest cheerleader, as we are still working with our dog, but now going solo. She has extended her expertise even after our training has officially wrapped up and encouraged us to contact her if we ever need anything. This training is hard work, but we seriously could not have done this without their help. I personally was so emotionally drained and defeated before we found Wag the Dog. Elizabeth Taylor: My 5 year old golden, Oscar, and I just wrapped up private lessons with Brittany focused on going through her reactive rover curriculum. I was skeptical in 4-5 weeks / sessions we would make much progress on his reactivity, but I'm so happy and impressed with how much progress he made! He is a much less anxious dog - even when we aren't "practicing" - and has grown so much in such a short period of time. I learned a lot of skills that will last me throughout his life and have helped me be a better partner to him in working through his anxieties and reactivity to other dogs. Brittany is patient and great at explaining things abd pointing out improvements in a kind and constructive manner to the human learner. We will definitely be back for future classes and cannot recommend Brittany highly enough to others.

I chose the day training and I'll admit didn't think 3 weeks would be enough but I was impressed with the results I got. I can't speak highly enough of our trainer Matt - he worked wonders and was so patient with me and took time to listen to my concerns and made himself available for questions whenever. The best part is they offer lifetime support and now that he completed his training sessions we can move on to grouo classes. While it was expensive I saw it as an investment and I felt like it has been worth every penny. To be successful you also have to put in the work and time to continue to apply what they learn. They made a definite believer out of me!
Diane M: Loved our experience- I cannot recommend Sit Means Sit enough. We did full day sessions with Matt for my 3 year old German Shepard and we’re really looking forward to the group classes! I noticed a huge shift in my relationship with our eye contact, his reactivity to other dogs, and trust with each other. Matt also did a great job with checking in and personalizing our training with any outstanding concerns at the end of every session. Overall I could not recommend a better trainer!

After having the initial consultation, we had no doubt in our minds that we had come to right place especially knowing that we have a very stubborn 5 month old puppy. We did 5 one on one sessions and in that time our dog has become significantly more structured, well behaved and we feel we have overall so much more control over him. We look forward to group classes where we can continue to work on our learned skills. Our trainer taught us necessary skills and used helpful analogies to help us understand how dogs think. We feel sooo much more in control of our lives now that we have a dog who is enjoyable to be around. I have been to at least four daycares now and this is by far the best we’ve been to! They also have great hours that have accommodated my busy work schedule. Chad Kopca: We enrolled our 3 year old rescue in the 5 week introduction to obedience course. It could not have gone better. The trainer was very attentive and adept at conveying the tools that we, as pet owners, needed in order to successfully train our dog. In the course, we were able to learn how to train our dog to sit, lie down, stay, come, and perform well on a leash. He was eager and willing to answer any and all questions. And now at the end of the course our dog is able to perform these skills. We could not be happier. Of course, the training never really stops. With these tools, we will continue working with our pup. To our enjoyment, and to our dog's betterment.

I also appreciated phone calls when there was a question or concern. Since this location is very close to the airport, we were able to pick her up on our way home. She even received a complimentary bath before we picked her up!
