Morgan S: Stopped in at Braise last night with a friend for the 3-course dinner! You won’t find better ingredients or a better deal. It is truly a one of a kind dining experience and the food is AMAZING—not to mention generously portioned. From start to finish you get a choice between two delicious appetizers, two main course items, and choice between two desserts. This was my second time to Braise and I look forward to coming back. I had the mushroom risotto and highly recommend it. The waitstaff and bartenders are very friendly and add to the overall experience. Perfect for date night with the hubby, or drinks with your girlfriends!
Angela Zuniga: Great service every time we dine in! Perfect date night or even our larger girls nights out are always a hit when we dine at Braise. The waitstaff makes sure we are well taken care of and and is knowledgeable about the food they are serving. They accommodate our many dietary restrictions and the food is always fresh and delicious! Easily the best date night spot in Milwaukee. A must visit.
Liz Fiene: First time having Xiao long bao and I have never had anything like this before! It was my favorite item we tried of the night, would definitely have again if it appeared back on the menu. I love that the ingredients are local and the menu rotates to bring me out of my comfort zone and try new things. Since m still exploring and determining what flavors I like/don’t like, I enjoy that the bartenders can make me something with just some personal input and some questions. I’ve only been here during the winter season but I am looking forward to patio season and I hope they have the patio/rooftop open in addition to their normal seating once summer hits! I just signed up for their tamales cooking class in May and I am looking forward to seeing this side of the restaurant next!
Megan Fiene: I love coming to Braise and eating in the bar area. Their booths and candle lights give a cozy atmosphere and can make a perfect date night. Sit at the bar to enjoy fun conversations and witness Flan and Evan crafting up the amazing cocktails behind the bar. Even if you don’t see a drink on the menu that catches your eyes, they can make anything you are feeling or give them the freedom to surprise you with a “dealers choice” cocktail. Ingrid Davis: I absolutely cannot express how AMAZING Braise Restaurant & Culinary School was for our reception. I cannot say enough wonderful things about this venue. We reserved the upstairs room, including the outdoor space that provided a beautiful view of the city.Becky Ayala, the restaurant manager, was a dream to work with. She was responsive to my emails and detail-oriented, which was so helpful during the reception planning process.The beautifully decorated room dazzled guests the moment they arrived at Braise and established the vibe for the rest of the room’s design. We also loved having the outdoor space, which was perfectly decorated, with floral arrangements placed everywhere. We opted for a family-style dinner. Locally sourced seasonal food inspired the menu of Mixed Green Salad, Lemon Risotto, Montreal Chicken and Soy Braised Beef. The food was delicious and the two wedding cocktails, Crazy Dave’s Old Fashioned and Rhubarb Lemonade were wonderful and flavorful. Our waiter, Kira and David, our bartender, were exceptional and on top of everything. The timing of the dishes was efficiently paced to allow sufficient time in between dishes.Everything was superb, and our guests raved about the venue and the food. I cannot recommend Becky and her team highly enough. You will not regret booking your venue in Braise.
Chrissi Quinn: We had our wedding dinner here and the catering was phenomenal. We booked out the first floor and the split between cocktails in the bar area and dinner in the dining room was a nice little change of setting. The braised beef, pork buns, and chocolate mouse were hits, guests even took leftovers home. The lemon curd wedding cake made by the pastry chefs was great and beautifully but tastefully decorated. I hope we can come back for all our anniversaries.Wheelchair accessibility: My significant other's mom is in an electric wheelchair and it was easy for her to get in and navigate around the first floor.

I loved the tasting because they put the cutest little details into our welcome sign and our personalized menu! I wasn't expecting that, but it truly made the experience even better! I love that there are so many options and you can really make your wedding dinner however you want it to be! I just want to say how lovely it was working with Michelle. She was so quick to answer emails, and she was so helpful when we were picking out linens and honestly the details for the table! I really loved getting our linens through Saz’s - they were so beautiful and just added to the space even more! The staff was incredible at our wedding, and some of our guests even commented on that as well! I really loved when we sat down for dinner and had an appetizer plate waiting for us! The food was amazing - it was identical to our tasting, if not better ! It was 110% worth the investment!

Michelle was extremely responsive and helpful and provided excellent recommendations. Mallory O'Halloran: I cannot express enough as to how wonderful our wedding was at the Performing Arts Center! Lynn and the PAC team are timely, efficient, and patient. Being a COVID-19 couple, we had to switch our day from April to October. They changed everything around in less than 24 hours without any issues. The food is absolutely fabulous. If you can swing it, get a signature drink! Our guests were thrilled with the space. Also, working with Lynn was such a joy. She is kind and an expert at her job. Thank you to Lynn & the PAC team for making our wedding day the best day of our lives!!
Carolyn Duff: While it wasn’t the easiest process getting there, we had an absolutely wonderful wedding at the Marcus Center! The venue itself is so lovely. We fell in love with ivy covered Fitch Gardens, the balcony overlooking the river, and the ceiling lights that added fun character to the classic ballroom space for our reception. We weren't able to use Fitch Gardens for our ceremony due to the weather, but the weather backup space is beautiful as well and we were really happy with it. Our guests RAVED about the food - one said we served the best steak he's ever had in his life!For the most part all of the staff was great and very helpful. We planned our wedding during COVID19 and I believe that took a toll on the communication and organization during the planning process. Early on, Lynn and Karin assured me that I didn’t need to hire a wedding planner because they would handle everything and it wouldn’t be necessary, but I think I would have felt a lot more comfortable with a planner to help. I worked with Lynn and while she worked really hard to make my wedding perfect, I never felt completely secure that things were on track or that we were on the same page. Wedding planning is stressful and I would have appreciated some more guidance throughout the process instead of having to initiate check ins and next steps myself. While I’m sure that COVID19 provided some challenges on her end too, I often heard her admit to being unsure of something because she hadn’t had a wedding in a while, or just being overwhelmed in general. At one point two of our groomsmen were frantically handling a responsibility at the wedding that Lynn assured me she would take care of.Overall it was an amazing wedding and I wouldn’t change a thing. I’d highly recommend the Marcus Center and Sazamas catering but be prepared to take charge and over communicate as you’re planning!
Jennifer Waltz: We had a wedding booked with Sazama’s at the MPAC and unfortunately, COVID-19 changed our plans. Lynn and the team at Sazama’s reached out immediately and were more than willing to help us come up with alternative options. We can’t thank Lynn and the Sazama’s team enough for all of their help, support, and willingness to work with us! Our experience was so positive despite everything going on. We would love to work with Lynn again in the future. The MPAC venue is beautiful!

It was a stressful time while I was deciding how to go about my dream wedding and the possibility of moving it. I would highly recommend this venue as well as the Sazama’s catering company. We had a great experience working with Lynn, she answered emails within hours, she was knowledgeable, and patient with the bombardment of questions I was constantly throwing her way. Our guest were amazed by the room, the overall presentation was gorgeous. The food was unbelievable and definitely earned us many compliments from our guests. So amazed by all the support, great people, great food, great experience overall!

Rachel Fox: I cannot recommend a place more highly than the Sazama's team at the Marcus Center for the Performing Arts. Everything about the process was stress-free and professional. It was clear that they had years of experience and dedicated staff. We did not have a wedding planner and we had a 230+ person wedding. Lynn with Sazama's made sure every detail was thought of and attended to. She was kind and flexible and had a calming way about her. Planning a wedding can be stressful, so to work with people who are calm and know what they are doing is a huge help. She did so many extra steps for us, like coordinating place covers and setting up our decorations. Their pricing was fair and transparent, and they were easy to work with when customizing packages.Beyond the process, the day itself was perfect! I had guests say their steak was one of the best they've had- not just at a wedding but overall! The passed food during cocktail hour was delicious and the staff was great. Not one detail was missed. Somehow Lynn or the manager was always near by when I had a question and they were awesome at keeping things on time. They even brought cocktails to us from the bar so we wouldn't have to get up during dinner. The venue was so elegant yet the two outdoor spaces allowed us to have corn hole and giant jenga during the cocktail hour and cigars during the band break. We had a fantastic plated dinner and Saz's casual late night food later. They really had it all! The views of the sunset on river are so stunning and the long room meant tables were only two rows deep in front of our head table, so even though it was a large wedding, it felt personal.You could really tell they took pride in their work and truly wanted your day to be perfect - and ours was. I would give them 100 stars and recommend them again and again.

Justine Jade: Tall Guy and a Grill was great at our wedding at the Atrium! Couldn’t recommend their team enough!! We did family style for our reception and everything was efficient and so well organized! Guests were full and raved about the food, especially the short ribs! Communication with the team was fantastic and done in such a timely manner. They were very accommodating to our requests and to guests allergies/dietary restrictions.
Nicole Fleming: My husband and I used Tall Guy and A Grill for our wedding in early February. I can’t recommend them enough- the initial Zoom call was great, we really felt like they wanted to get to know us and our vibe so they could best match it. We attended one of their tastings and it was very well organized and the food was phenomenal- all options! It just confirmed our choices and made us even more excited for the big day. During cocktail hour, they made sure we got to try every app. During dinner, our lead caterer Betsy personally made sure we had drinks and apps at our sweetheart table and checked on us the perfect amount. Our guests raved about the food- especially the short ribs and maple glazed carrots. The set up and clean up was so smooth I never even noticed it. We had a special milk request for our dessert table and they made it happen no problem. We would absolutely use them again and highly recommend them for your wedding!

They were very responsive throughout the process and VERY accommodating given we had a winter wedding with a few last minute guest cancellations requiring seating chart and dinner order changes. Our guests loved the spread of fruit, appetizers, and entrees with someone saying,"This catering is way too fancy for this party." Many asked who we used for their future events. Highly recommend!
Sophie Kubly: My husband and I chose Tall Guy and a Grill from a list of recommended vendors from our venue, and we are SO glad we did. I'm a vegetarian and my husband loves meat, so finding a caterer that could do both well was very important to us. Before we even went in for a tasting we had a good feeling about them just based on the number of options they had, but the tasting really cemented them as our top choice. We stuck with a pretty simple menu, but each dish was done so well and the flavors were fantastic, and we have received so many compliments on the food alone from our guests. The team is also very helpful answering any questions you may have with planning, and are super accommodating of any food concerns/allergies and dietary restrictions. The linen and china rental companies they work with also provide some really great options, which helped make planning a little less complicated because we didn't need to find those vendors on our own.
Collin Johnson: Tall Guy handled the food and service at our December wedding at the Ivy House. Working with them was a breeze, from the food selection to the day of service. On our wedding day the food was cooked perfectly and delighted our guests. The service from the Tall Guy staff at our wedding was impeccable. We didn't have to think about a single thing all night. Highest recommendation!

Thomas Fleischmann: Tall Guy catered our wedding back in November, and they did a spectacular job! They were very attentive to our needs, especially allergies, and provided top-notch service from start to finish. We had very open communication with the team, and they went above and beyond to keep in touch with the venue staff to make everything seamless on the day. By the way, the food was excellent and a huge hit! They even made an exception and served a special late-night snack on request, which really made us feel special. We got so many compliments on the food and all guests were satisfied and filled. And, we are very thankful for the gift we received from the team: a delicious bottle of maple BBQ sauce! A special thank you to Sophie, for helping our wedding tiramisu "cake" come to life last minute. And I mean this when you find yourself the core curriculums you find yourself to work, you will find the workplace safety becomes pinned between a ladder of a few to honors received by none lest it becomes a receptionist to a catering service. – If you’re looking to be a plumber, here’s where to start, because if I was arguing carpentry over metallurgy in such a calm weathered hallway, you’d be screaming acts of God till the trickle point landed on your face with your belly bestowing all the previous laughter you thought you could manage by yourself. You see, I’d be sitting with the Dean, the Staff of Administration, and an S1185 form wondering whether or not to let a blind man walk out with his cane before I found out who ruined my Mother’s marriage and career progression to her children without blood on my knuckles following WI ST. 118.35, and an Honorable Admission of Servitude seeing as my own efforts will linger the halls into a transferable credit of Guiness World Record Readership to a statement that will leave you to question what the Commissioner is going to say about it. – After all, when school is close by, I’m just looking to form my retirement.Want to challenge that signature? Or leave it in chalk? Lifeless?There’s a little more to me than you knew, and a whole much more I circled around when deciding a chance would be glory.-
Abster Asgard: the field you want to be in. This is one of the best places to go.They have an active news station here that lends out thier studio to MATC and if you take that degree you end will work with people who are actively in the feild. They get you hands on with equipment within the 1st 2 weeks consistently and are very accommodating for accessibility. Half these reviews are reviewing the school as a whole... and you should not go here for a school name you should go here for hands on experience. I will say the school body is unhelpful and if you really want help go through you teachers and program heads.
T3LLA: Great school if you’re ready to buckle down and focus! Universities can have a lot going on and be really distracting, but this school has a balance. There’s definitely fun activities every now and then but when it comes to the academics, they will not leave you hanging either. The classroom sizes are reasonable, giving you the chance to have all of your questions heard and answered.
Alexander Salas: My experience in MATC IT Computer Support Specialist program is limited but good so far. I chose to pursue this degree because it lines up well with my current work experience and career goals. So far, I have been able to take all my classes online with no scheduled class times, so I can complete assignments at my own pace without interfering with my work schedule. Another thing this program does well, is that it offers options to achieve many different certifications on your way to a degree. They also work with businesses to help their student get jobs after graduating. I would recommend this program to someone looking to get into IT Support as a career.
Britanni Hildenbrand: I am in my sixth week taking online courses at MATC. I have chosen the IT Support Associate Degree program, for two reasons: One the program is only two years, I’ll be able to launch into the job market faster, and because IT is such a diverse, and fast growing career path, I know I will find a fit into the IT world upon graduation. I chose MATC because MATC is convenient and conventional. I can take classes online, at my own pace, and be on campus for the classes I need more focus and dedication to. This IT program combined with my 10 plus years customer service experience, I know I will be able to reach any career goal I set. Now, while my interest in computers and knack for problem solving I know this career path will be suitable for me, however, to any prospective student looking for a quick money type of career, this program is not for you. This program consists of lots of physical and mental work, also taking consideration of the customers you are serving. If a prospective student welcomes challenges and is comfortable with asking questions and not feeling intimidated by the mass amount of information you will retain then this is a program for you. Prospective students should also be aware that they don’t have to work or figure stuff out alone, one of my favorite accommodations is having access to tutoring, whether online or in person- at all campuses. Fellow future students should also know that acquiring their degree at MATC is a smart money move, students can save thousands of dollars getting their education here, as opposed to a four year college/university. Future students should also know that credits will transfer to a four year college such as MSOE or UWM.

Chase Schachenman: Irene’s catered our wedding in June 2023, you should 100% choose them as your wedding caterer! Mark was great to work with and quick to respond to all of our questions. We had several dietary accommodations and they worked hard to accommodate everyone, including when we had a last minute change with a guest that didn’t report a restriction, which was greatly appreciated!We went with appetizer stations and a dinner buffet with a seated salad option, which I’d highly recommend! The food was delicious, the staff were friendly and helpful, and they moved everyone through the buffet efficiently! A lot of our guests commented how great the food was during and after the event. Everyone loved the meatball appetizer! The staff makes sure that the bride and groom get a plate of their appetizers and take home food afterwards which is thoughtful. If you’re on the fence, go with Irene’s!
Meg Voss: Long story short: you need to choose Irene’s for your wedding caterer! The food and service were top notch! Mark was oh-so helpful and responsive throughout the entire planning process! The food was delicious and so reasonably priced! Our guests told us our apps in particular were wonderful! One guest said the beef we served at dinner was the best beef he’s ever had! ALL of the food was wonderful and if that alone doesn’t sell you, the service was even better! One of the servers was so kind she made me cry tears of joy! I truly can’t say enough positive things about Irene’s, so you’re just going to have to book them and see for yourself! 10/10 recommend!

Ethan Luoma: Mark was very professional for our tasting and setting up our menu for our wedding. Day of the wedding, the set up crew was prompt and had everything set up and ready to go. I only left a star off due to the bartending. The company does outsource the bartending through a different company. Our bartenders did leave us after cocktail hour and we had to have our own family and friends bartend the rest of the night. I called and spoke with Tim post wedding about our situation and he was very sincere about what happened. Overall the food was great and our guests ranted about how good it was. Overlook our little inconvenience with the bartending and consider Irene's for your future catering. Hands down the best food and top notch service!

From the beginning of the process to the end, they were extremely professional and always answered any little question I had. Mark was so helpful as the day came closer, checking in to make sure everything was in order so the day would run smoothly. The serving staff at the wedding was top notch. They were all hard working and very kind. I appreciated that they made to-go boxes of food at the start so that we had something to eat after the wedding was over. I also loved that when it was my turn to go to the buffet, that one of the servers walked with me and held my plate so I didn’t have to worry about holding or spilling it. Little things like that truly make a company stand out from the rest. The staff went above and beyond that night doing things that weren’t necessarily apart of their job duties, like cutting the cake and helping us light our candles. I liked that their prices were clear during the tasting, so we knew exactly what we were getting and for what cost. We received so many compliments on our food and are so grateful that we went with Irene’s and were able to have a stress free wedding day.

Lauren Beckett: Working with Gracious was absolute perfection from start to finish. From our very first meeting with Vesna, I could tell she understood my vision even more than I did. She listened to all of my ideas and guided me to the best decisions to fit my vision for the day. Our design meeting with her went so well. She had so many perfect items to rent from vintage plates to modern bud vases and the most unique mismatched etched wine glasses. Our tasting with Vesna and Bella was so delicious and she even sent us home with the leftovers. She was so responsive to all of my emails and phone calls whenever I had questions throughout the year, and calmed all of my worries. I always felt like she would have things handled and take care of it. When it came to the rehearsal and the day of, we payed extra for a day-of coordinator. I can't stress enough how this was worth every dime. Bella took charge of our whole rehearsal and got us through quickly and efficiently. She was so fun to be around and had everything completely under control. She was so impressive to watch! The day of the wedding, she was always nearby to calm my nerves and I had full trust that everything was taken care of by her. Her and Vesna and the rest of the gracious team brought my vision to life and created my dream table decor, cake decorating, details tables, and the literal most gorgeous flowers I have every seen in my entire life. I could not have imagined my wedding any other way. The entire day went so smoothly with zero hiccups, and even more beautiful than I could have dreamed. Thank you so much to Vesna and Bella for a dream come true!
Brooke Winter: My husband and I worked with Marija and Gracious Events for our wedding in November 2022 and had an amazing experience. Gracious catered the dinner and created a delightful fall menu, leaning into seasonal flavors per my vision. The meal was elegantly served family style, which was a hit among guests. I received so many compliments on the food, even from the toughest of critics!Gracious also provided the florals for our wedding, and again exceeded expectations. I shared a pretty vague vision of wanting "moody fall colors" and the end result was perfectly that. Marija was receptive to my many calls and requests and helped me maximize my budget while executing my vision.Overall, prices were on the higher end among the quotes that I received, but I definitely felt like this was a "get what you pay for" situation and was so glad I worked with Gracious. Highly recommend!

Just from reading the reviews and seeing photos, we knew that Marija would be amazing, and she was. We were blown away. The flowers were of such high quality and the food loved by all. When people comment on our wedding, the food and flowers are always mentioned. Marija listened carefully and was incredibly patient in finding out exactly what we wanted. In short, she exceeded our expectations and is some kind of genius with food and flowers. Second only to deciding to get married, the best decision we made in planning our wedding was hiring Marija.
Alexis Gwizdak: I loved how much they cared about us during the process and at the wedding. They were so kind to make us a plate of hors d’oeuvres at our cocktail hour so we can have enjoy our food. That to me, shows how much they care about their clients. They also made sure we got to eat our full dinner without interruption. My other vendors mentioned how kind and helpful they were and really enjoyed working them. Consider yourself lucky if you are able to book them because they will make your wedding day or event impeccable. Forever grateful for Marija and the Gracious Team!

Vesna was very kind and professional from day one and incorporated our wishes while giving great suggestions. She is very experienced and helped the day run smoothly. The staff was friendly and we received so many compliments on the food! We chose to do food stations, which were a huge hit and we loved that we could eat a little of everything. Would highly recommend for any catering needs!
TAYLOR TROVILLION: We worked with Gracious Events as part of their work with the St. James 1868 ... and through three wedding dates with COVID-19. Bella Gordon from Gracious served as our day-of coordinator, Gracious also did our catering and we used the team for floral. They were very in tune with our budget, considerate of date changes and Bella was an awesome support day-of. Food was delicious and the venue floral was wonderful.
Belinda Bonsall Leonard: .The food prepared by Gracious was outstanding, even when scaled up to 175 guests! It wasn’t just good wedding food…our guests commented that it was on par with top restaurant food anywhere in the country! Marija helped us create a menu with a nod to the groom’s New Orleans roots, and the bride’s desire to have a vegan option. We chose to offer a late night snack before the guests left, and let me just say, if you ever get a chance to try the sticky Buffalo chicken slider prepared by Gracious, don’t pass it up!The floral design was incredibly important to both me and my daughter. Gracious spent a lot of time helping us to develop our vision, recommending specific flowers, and creating a plan that took advantage of the beautiful setting offered in the St. James1868 venue. I was especially impressed the morning of the wedding when Vesna stopped by the bridal suite with a sample bridesmaid bouquet to be sure it was perfect before she created the remaining 8 bouquets. She did the same with the bridal bouquet, which you can see in the photos below was perfection!Many of my friends have commented on what a stressful day their weddings were. I can honestly say our day was stress free and a joy from beginning to end! Much of that had to do with the professionalism and experience brought by Gracious and their staff. I can’t recommend them highly enough!

I loved how calm the team was the day of the wedding and they checked in with me as my bouquet and bridesmaids bouquets were being put together to ensure it was exactly what I wanted. The design, food, and overall event was more than I could have ever dreamed and the experience planning leading up to the wedding was also seamless. With individualized private catering and a lovely Tosa restaurant I know I will always recommend Gracious as my number one choice in gastro needs.
Madison Garland: . Consider yourself extremely fortunate if you are able to land an event date with the St. James/Gracious duo! The food prepared by Gracious is truly spectacular and our guests could not stop raving about the entrees offered at our wedding! Outside of the amazing food and drinks, Marija was an excellent day of coordinator and her day of staff were wonderful. Gracious offers beautiful linens and day of rentals. Marija and her team took our vision and far exceeded any of our expectations. The team was able to handle a massive flip of our indoor space from the ceremony to reception with ease. Hopefully this will not be of concern in the near future, but Marija was on top of any COVID-19 updates including city and state orders. We could not have been luckier to have this team running the show the day of our wedding!Our only compliant, and this is echoed in our review for St. James, was the transition process between the previous St. James event staff/caterer and Gracious. This really boiled down to a major disconnect in communication. We would send information or speak with Gracious and the subsequent proposal would be off on various details, particularly details that were important to us. That said, following an all hands-on deck meeting with Gracious and St. James, everything was smooth sailing. We would not expect this to be an ongoing issue going forward, rather just a bump in the road during their new partnership with the St. James venue. Anyone would be lucky to have this team assisting with their wedding or event. Elizabeth Schulz: Having Gracious Events cater our wedding was a no-brainer as soon as we tried their food for the first time at our tasting. It is restaurant quality food and we have received so many compliments that it was the best wedding food our guests have ever had. All of the staff were so kind and attentive. Michelle Sherry: We recently used Armon's to cater a holiday luncheon for employees at 2 different locations. We were very impressed! Amir was quick to respond to any questions I had for him. The food was delivered right on time to both locations and quickly setup. Everything was hot and ready to eat right away. The salads were very fresh, chicken scallopini was delicious in a savory sauce, the roast beef was tender and the pasta primavera was so creamy. Martin Roberts: Stopped at the 'Smoke Shack' for some BBQ meat when exploring the Third Ward. I was seated and handed the menu only to be told the Beef Brisket was still in the smoker as they'd had a busy weekend. I was a tad disappointed, as this is what I was hoping to eat, but the Pulled Pork Shoulder I had instead was delicious. The ambience inside the 'Shack' was good authentic American and service was good too. I'll have to return one day for that illusive Brisket.
