Futen Dojo: what do users think?

Freyja Newleaf: If you're looking for a safe place to strengthen your mind, to bolster your capabilities in defending yourself, to find peace within your soul, look no further. Sensei is an absolutely stunning human with a vast wealth of knowledge in martial arts. With dedication and patience, you too can dig deep and realize your true potential.

Joe Lewis: True Japanese Martial Arts

Michael Anderson: Whether you are interested in learning self-defense, traditional Japanese martial arts and culture, a philosophy of continual self-improvement, or a hobby which could easily keep you engaged for the rest of your life, Futen Dojo should be on your list to check out. The head instructor Michael Coleman is a world-class martial artist who is passionate about teaching.

Tonia Stavedahl: Learning how to defend myself has given me a lot of peace of mind when I am out and about. I feel more aware of my surroundings and know that at least I have seen and learned techniques that will help me in the unthinkable event of an assault. This is something I had never thought about and am so thankful to have a teacher and dojo family supporting me and my personal safety. I highly recommend checking out the Futen Dojo.

Scott Baxter: Do you want to learn self-defense? Do you enjoy traditional Japanese culture? Are you looking for a teacher that respects and understands your needs? This is the place to go.

Amy Ressel: While I was in the military I had to move a lot so I changed dojos a lot. Futen is one of the best dojos I've studied at. Everyone is really kind and no one will look down on you if you are having a difficult time learning a technique.

Michael Wogoman: I found the Futen Dojo by chance while driving by and thought I would stop in. Michael Coleman, the schools head instructor, was teaching an advanced class and I was immediately impressed with not only his skill physically, but also his knowledge of the history and ‘way’ of martial arts. I signed up for class the next day. That chance encounter was nearly nine years ago and I have been going to the Futen Dojo every week since then. In that time I have had experiences that, I believe, cannot be offered anywhere else. Even with years of experience, I learn something new in every class, which will always have me coming back for more. I am very glad to be a part of the Futen Dojo family.

Girtons ATA Taekwondo: what do users think?

Paul Muhammad: The Girtons ATA Taekwondo has such a beautiful energy and has been a gift of empowerment that keeps giving to my child and the community; so much so that my wife and I have enrolled.

Amanda Brunk-Grady: We recently joined Girtons ATA and are so thrilled we did. Our 5 year old can be hesitant to try new things, but Mr. and Mrs. Girton have been so welcoming to all of us that he very quickly became comfortable. He loves going to classes. The environment is supportive and fun, while teaching valuable skills and lessons.

Katie Czerwinski: My son started Taekwondo classes on June 1st of this year and we fell in love that day. From the first encounters through email and text, to our first trip to the studio we felt like family. The core values they teach are wonderful and beautiful for children.I could write an essay about every little detail but Google only always so many words - so I will just say if you want to enrich yours and your child's life, enroll them in Girtons TODAY.We hope to meet you soon and welcome you to the Girtons ATA strong family!!

Tori Brooks: I love this place they are really good with my child with special needs. He is also learning self control and focus....

Boss Lady: My children really enjoy classes and all the awesome skills they have learned so far from the teachers here at Girton Bayside Taekwondo

Amanda Hoffman: Girtons ATA Taekwondo has been an amazing experience for our son. Nothing but kindness and thoughtful teaching of amazing life skills. The respect that is shown for all students is beyond compare.

Mary Muhammad: Girtons ATA is the most family friendly facility for martial arts. Our little one started over a year ago and ultimately we all joined. Great place for cultivating discipline, building community, and building life long skills.

Jason Weiss: This ATA was exceptional. The discipline and respect learned through form and function. Kidd up to adults at all different levels. The promotion ceremony is professional and also traditional at the same time. I recommend anyone who is looking for self defense or even a workout to join their programs. The Girtons are wonderful people and instructors.

Dana McLaren: Great school. They work hard to include everyone and want everyone to succeed.

Megan Wilson: The girtons are amazing so good with the kids and so knowledgeable 100% recommend them for taeKwondo instruction!

Andrea Peterson: Our entire family loves going to practice. My husband and I love seeing our sons strive and be more respectful to others.

Emily Walter: in between forms/practice.

Keenan Sumlin: Fun, engaging and accommodating. I recommend for all ages.

Devin McKinnon: Update!!! My son started in late June 2022. I am proud to say I would still give Girton's ATA Taekwondo a 5 star review. I am so glad we started and made taekwondo a lifestyle! I have also started taking classes. We both enjoy learning from them. They run the class at a great pace and are so welcoming to new families. My child loves to see that he is progressing with different markings on his belt. The Girtons really understand how to work with kids and families. They help teach kids confidence, discipline, and values that we would want all kids to know. It is like I joined a parenting team when we joined Girtons ATA Taekwondo. As a mom that has way too much going on they totally get it. For example we showed up late one day, no big deal, they let him join class and still have fun. He even still had the opportunity to earn a star. They set up and enforce realistic expectations for they young children.

Kari Granada: Words can't express how we feel about finding Girtons ATA Taekwondo! We started our oldest daughter here and the love she has for it continues to grow daily and she never stops talking about it. Shortly after, we signed up our youngest and we can't wait to join class with them as parents! We are blown away by not only the teaching of Taekwondo, but the day to day life skills in class. Mr and Mrs Girton know exactly how to communicate with each and every person in class. They make everyone feel so welcome and part of the family. We didn't know we would form so many friendships and be so welcomed by every family when we joined. The atmosphere is amazing amongst both kids and parents. Not only does everyone cheer each other on, we all celebrate each other!

Diamond Wade: My son’s love this places.

Tony Czarnecki: Went for a Taekwondo tournament. The place is on the small side, but a nice training facility

Amber Kirby: My daughter has wanted to do Martial arts for years but because of a bad experience I was hesitant to sign her up anywhere else. Then the Girtons signed up with our Rec. Department. I am so glad they did. They are very professional but they are also personal. They get to know their students and their family. They also care about their community. You also don't have to sign a contract like other places. One of the other things like about them. Kids always change their minds and it is a load off my shoulders knowing that I am not stuck in a contract.
