james rude: The owner is very friendly and knowledgeable and offers samples to let you try a product you're interested in. Fabulous selection of chocolates from around the world. Used the products I bought to make a fancy dessert plate for my wife and myself while visiting the area. Now we have extras to make again and again. A great way to enjoy gourmet delicacies without making them yourself or going to a gourmet restaurant. I will definitely be back.

DAVE BRASK: I was really impressed. Good chocolates as you would expect but also the outsides of the chocolates are the coolest ever. We got an assortment and a bar for home. Had a cheese and chocolate flight there, very good value and tasty, highly recommended. My wife said one of the chocolates she had was the lifetime best. They also have flights pairing wine or beer. Maurice Gulledge: We were sightseeing in Milwaukee and had a craving for chocolate. So we found our way to the Burke Candy & Ingredient store and what a lovely surprise it was. The whole store smelled of freshly-made toffee! When I asked for recommendations, the young woman behind the counter, Julia Burke, offered generous samples of chocolate-covered toffee bites and milk chocolate salted caramels. Both were delicious, and of course we bought some to take home. While she boxed everything up, she talked about the history of her family’s chocolate company and pointed through the window to the actual candy-making process. She was really a goodwill ambassador for Burke Candy. Finally she wrapped everything up in tissue and a flowered bag, and we left wishing we lived closer to this lovely shop! Patty & Maurice G.

Katie Graff: Conveniently located in the Milwaukee Public Market with what seems like endless chocolate and candy options and even ice cream. We were stuffed from lunch but decided to satisfy our sweet tooth with a piece of chocolate covered peanut butter. It was divine. Both the chocolate and peanut had really good flavor and weren't too sweet. We'll definitely be back to try more options.

Staci Yoder: I’m now craving these fancy chocolates after visiting Kehr’s charming little candy corner in The Milwaukee Public Market recently. I treated myself to an assortment from the fancier filled section, and was pleased they also had the fun and colorful stuff to take home to my daughter. She loved their gummy worms. My fave was the pear-dipped-chocolate. The warm candied pecans and cashews were divine. And the packaging for them was even cuter! The young man helping me at the counter was so patient and possibly sweeter than the chocolates! 💖

Ragi Mehta: This is the best local chocolate shop in Wisconsin/Chicago area. We had hot chocolate and it was out of the world! Super creamy and dark. Just the way we like it. Kloe took care of our order and she was really sweet and helpful!! She rocks! All the chocolates are fair trade and organic. We need more places like this. A must visit for sure!!!!!!!! We drove all the way from Chicago to have the hot chocolate on the weekends. Love it!!!!
Caitlin Boone: Highly suggest taking the "chocolate making 101" class at Tabal chocolate in the Tosa village 🍫 not only is it very informative and fun but it's an amazing company to support. They are one of very few who actually make their own chocolate and passionately partner with the actual farmers who source the cacao beans! Looking forward to taking the second level class in the future! The host and instructor Matt really made the class a wonderful experience! I left the class with a lot of respect for this little company right in our own backyard!

Alex Miranda Cruz: This is one of our favorite chocolate makers in the state of Wisconsin. Whenever we’re in Mikwaukee, we always find a way to make a Tabal Chocolate detour in Wauwatosa. Their chocolates have so much nuance and decadence. I personally enjoy how grainy and stoney their chocolate bars are. Their flavors are delicately balanced and I can taste the quality of ingredients in every bite. It’s quite an experience and I hope you get to enjoy Tabal Chocolates as much as we do. One of my favorite flavors is the Superberry Dark Chocolate. It’s a beautifully balanced chocolate with fruity notes and bitter dark chocolate.
Kiro Chen: I love this chocolate shop. They make it on site but the quality of their chocolate can be inconsistent. It was good one time and then one time.

Hallie Hartmann: Best ice cream around!
David Harley: I visited Kilwins today as part of a networking group. They were hosting for the local chamber of Commerce. It was my first time in the store and I was amazed at the variety of treats that they had available. Everything from peanut brittle to pecan turtles to a dozen flavors of ice cream -- bye bye diet! I won the door prize they were giving away and I can't wait to tear into it. I would highly recommend Kilwins for your decadent delights.

Steven Schmelzling: Can't help but stop by Kilwins whenever visiting BAYSHORE to get some of their can't be beat kettle corn and a chocolate dipped marshmallow. When the kids have been good we swing by since their caramel apples are a favorite of one of our sons while our other loves the chocolate dipped waffle cones. In the winter their hot chocolate is amazing made with real chocolate, same with their mochas. I'm always looking for a deal, so I walk out with their BOGO Fudge on certain days of the week as well. If they have chocolate raspberry get two!
Tammy “Lil' Marzipan” B: The Pecan Praline, pecan Turtle covered krispie treat and Pecan turtle covered apple were all extremely delicious and fresh.Customer service was excellent! Greeted as soon as we entered, offered a sample of popcorn and shown some of their recently stocked treats for Mardi Gras.

Morgan S: Stopped in at Braise last night with a friend for the 3-course dinner! You won’t find better ingredients or a better deal. It is truly a one of a kind dining experience and the food is AMAZING—not to mention generously portioned. From start to finish you get a choice between two delicious appetizers, two main course items, and choice between two desserts. This was my second time to Braise and I look forward to coming back. I had the mushroom risotto and highly recommend it. The waitstaff and bartenders are very friendly and add to the overall experience. Perfect for date night with the hubby, or drinks with your girlfriends!
Angela Zuniga: Great service every time we dine in! Perfect date night or even our larger girls nights out are always a hit when we dine at Braise. The waitstaff makes sure we are well taken care of and and is knowledgeable about the food they are serving. They accommodate our many dietary restrictions and the food is always fresh and delicious! Easily the best date night spot in Milwaukee. A must visit.
Liz Fiene: First time having Xiao long bao and I have never had anything like this before! It was my favorite item we tried of the night, would definitely have again if it appeared back on the menu. I love that the ingredients are local and the menu rotates to bring me out of my comfort zone and try new things. Since m still exploring and determining what flavors I like/don’t like, I enjoy that the bartenders can make me something with just some personal input and some questions. I’ve only been here during the winter season but I am looking forward to patio season and I hope they have the patio/rooftop open in addition to their normal seating once summer hits! I just signed up for their tamales cooking class in May and I am looking forward to seeing this side of the restaurant next!
Megan Fiene: I love coming to Braise and eating in the bar area. Their booths and candle lights give a cozy atmosphere and can make a perfect date night. Sit at the bar to enjoy fun conversations and witness Flan and Evan crafting up the amazing cocktails behind the bar. Even if you don’t see a drink on the menu that catches your eyes, they can make anything you are feeling or give them the freedom to surprise you with a “dealers choice” cocktail. Ingrid Davis: I absolutely cannot express how AMAZING Braise Restaurant & Culinary School was for our reception. I cannot say enough wonderful things about this venue. We reserved the upstairs room, including the outdoor space that provided a beautiful view of the city.Becky Ayala, the restaurant manager, was a dream to work with. She was responsive to my emails and detail-oriented, which was so helpful during the reception planning process.The beautifully decorated room dazzled guests the moment they arrived at Braise and established the vibe for the rest of the room’s design. We also loved having the outdoor space, which was perfectly decorated, with floral arrangements placed everywhere. We opted for a family-style dinner. Locally sourced seasonal food inspired the menu of Mixed Green Salad, Lemon Risotto, Montreal Chicken and Soy Braised Beef. The food was delicious and the two wedding cocktails, Crazy Dave’s Old Fashioned and Rhubarb Lemonade were wonderful and flavorful. Our waiter, Kira and David, our bartender, were exceptional and on top of everything. The timing of the dishes was efficiently paced to allow sufficient time in between dishes.Everything was superb, and our guests raved about the venue and the food. I cannot recommend Becky and her team highly enough. You will not regret booking your venue in Braise.
Chrissi Quinn: We had our wedding dinner here and the catering was phenomenal. We booked out the first floor and the split between cocktails in the bar area and dinner in the dining room was a nice little change of setting. The braised beef, pork buns, and chocolate mouse were hits, guests even took leftovers home. The lemon curd wedding cake made by the pastry chefs was great and beautifully but tastefully decorated. I hope we can come back for all our anniversaries.Wheelchair accessibility: My significant other's mom is in an electric wheelchair and it was easy for her to get in and navigate around the first floor.

Claire Blanchard: My experience was with ordering online for next day delivery and I cannot begin to say how much I appreciate the people working here. I ordered a gift while at work and forgot to put who it was from. I called and they said they would fix it right when the order came through to them. They called me back fifteen minutes later since it hadn’t come into their system yet to make sure I’d called the right location. We got it all added properly only for me to notice the next morning while they were closed that I’d in fact spelled a recipients name wrong. I used their online order messaging system and they corrected it right when they opened which I saw via email confirmation. I then received a confirmation photo of the delivery not long after. I truly appreciate all of your help getting this gift right!

Rebecca Linehan: I always visit Fazio's for holiday gifts for family and co-workers. I was bummed that they discontined the reward program with the punchcards. I had cashed in a few over the years and had a couple nearly filled up that I tried getting punched when they told me the program ended. I wished I'd had known so I could have cashed them out sooner. I'll still keep shopping at Fazios because their chocolates are so good. I always pick up fairy food for myself when I go to make larger gift purchases.
