Fred Astaire Dance Studios - Milwaukee: what do users think?

Cassie Cosgrove: My fiancé and I took father/daughter and mother/son dance lessons here. We did two 40 minutes lessons back to back and time flew by. I wasn’t sure what to expect but we had a ton of fun. Our instructors Natalie and Sodo were phenomenal. They went at our pace, taught us a few styles of dance, and then worked on applying some of that to the songs we had picked up. I highly recommend coming here if you are looking for lessons for a wedding dance!

Kelly Schad: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,ValueMy fiance and I began dance lessons for our wedding at Fred Astaire. We have found the lessons to be exciting, professional and a great activity for our date nights. The staff at FA are welcoming, friendly and energetic. We'll be continuing with the dances, social parties and hopefully, competitions.

Barbara Collignon: I've been a student at the Milwaukee studio for 10 years now and have enjoyed lessons, parties, balls and competitions. I can honestly say that the last 10 years have been among the most fun of my life-- thanks to the wonderful professional teachers at FADS!

Edward Burr: My last 2 years at Fred Astaire have been a dream! I started dancing kind of as a joke. I was traveling to Brazil for my friends wedding and thought I'd learn to Samba in a couple months to prepare. What I found was an energetic and supportive community of like-minded individuals. Positive, supportive, and understanding. And that's just the other students. The instructors are even better. You will not regret your time here. You will feel uncomfortable but you will get past it and on the other side is an unparalleled sense of confidence. And you'll look great doing it!

Timothy Wade: but also interact with the staff. The staff is fun to work with and they keep you focused on whatever dance or routine you are doing. I would recommend going to Fred Astaire because learning the dances and routines will keep you fit and get to interact with staff that enjoy what they do and wants you to have as much fun as they do.

Kate Lorenz: Dancing at Fred Astaire of Milwaukee is more than dancing. It's like a wonderful party every time I walk through the door. Wonderful teachers and staff. Amazing fellow students who have become dear friends. And invigorating learning that is good for brain and body, all while smiling from ear to ear throughout each lesson. I walk out tired but very, very happy!

Tracy Kaebisch: . We'll be taking a break for a while but will probably be back soon.Overall, highly recommend if you like to dance or want to learn!

Judith Fritz: If I could share the most important experience, although there are and have been many that have come from FADS Milwaukee, is that I couldn't have chosen more qualified and wonderful teachers/instructors and staff to help make come true my passion for dance. Everyone shares a passion and dedication for dance and they pass their gift and talent down to each and every student. You can't help but feel the Joy and enthusiasm when you walk in the studio. At FADS Milwaukee I have met so many wonderful people, all who have and are accomplishing so much having come to this studio.

Rachel Kass: We have been having an amazing time and learning so many things. We started at once a week and now love it so much we are in 4 times a week :D Shout out to our amazing coaches Brandon and Jade and the rest of the FADS crew who have made us feel right at home.

scott bicknell: Very professional and enjoyable place. All the staff know are a pleasure to be aroundNo matter how mood you are in when you arrive you always leave feeling happy

Mark Phillips: I feel free when I dance! There's nothing like dancing to a piece o music that you love. The staff is wonderful and the owner is awesome. As long as my Wife continues to smile, I'll be good with it! I Love our studio & instructors! This has been an amazing journey thus far.

Dana Phillips: Me and my husband came to learn one dance and 7 years later we are still dancing. Ballroom dancing is truly an art. Our instructors make learning the art of ballroom dancing fun and fulfilling. Dancing has given us so many wonderful memories. And the is staff is the best .

BillWFranksjr0909: It is always a pleasure to go to dance practice! Michelle is always so nice and always gets exactly what you need. The talent there is simply amazing! The instructions are not only very pleasant to talk with, but they are the best dancers in the US! It is my honest pleasure to be part of this "family"

Justin Cramer: . They are patient and will work as a team to ensure that concepts, patterns and choreography is understood. They have enabled me and my wife to compete nationally against other amateurs. They have trained others to compete on the professional level. But the most important thing is that they keep it fun so you keep coming back for the challenge.

The Rave / Eagles Club: what do users think?

Naomi Cartee: Cool ballroom. Had a nice experience. Parking is horrible though. Definitely would recommend Uber.

Jeanette Mann: The best time!!! Everything including the bathrooms are clean. Many stairs as there are multiple stages.

Robert Saavedra: Hard to move equipment around/elevator access is bad.

Amanda McDonald: Always a good time. Love this venue.

Eric O'Dell: Attended a show at the Eagles Ballroom and largely had a good time. Things could be better marked but the worst part was the lack of air conditioning. It was 77 degrees outside and the best they could do was open some windows. Air ended up stagnant and super humid. It was less noticeable during the show but in between sets it was miserable and the room temperature $5 bottles of Costco water didn’t help.

Tyler Wallace: Always a good time but so many undercovers

Jim Klein: I love this place. I’ve seen a show in the ballroom upstairs as well as in a bar space in the basement. Legends have come thru this place and you can tell. Great live music vibe and you can tell the people who work there enjoy music. They went thru and cleaned the whole bathroom halfway thru a show while an opener was still playing. Really a nice touch

Quentin Furlong: Went for Prof had an absolute blast,

Enrique Silva: I just had the most amazing time of my life on the SUM41 final tour show, amazing people and amazing services in general. 10/10 would go back for another concert.

Alice Bailey: Prof was an AWESOME show!!!

Christopher Lee: Great all around fun

Bill Sann: I was there for the world naked bike Ride.It was awesome.Wonderful atmosphere wonderful people.I hope to go again next year.Everybody was polite respectful there was no trouble there was a nice band but the only food I saw was a vendor outside that was extremely overpriced.Outside they had some vendor that was charging $18 for a small plate of nachos I wouldn't order that again.I hope next year maybe the bar will put a couple of grills in the back and sell bratwurst.I would have pictures but I don't think Google will let me post nudes.

Erik & Kelly StormLovers: Thank you so much for hosting the WNBR 2023! You have a cozy venue that was perfect for this event! We felt very welcome.Atmosphere: 5/5 …

The Borg Cooking Show: Saw Bomber and Red, Modern Joey, and Wire and Nail here. The venue is super neat inside of an old warehouse. The cranes and large industrial beams still adorn the place. The acoustics are pretty good as well. The bar is located right next to the dance floor so you never miss a second of the music. There's also a nice grassy patio section outside for getting a breath of fresh air or rippin' a dart.Drink prices are not ridiculous $6 for wells, $9 for midtier hard liquor. They have a great beer selection and limited wine.

Kathleena Gomez: Gorgeous venue for events. Always love seeing a concert at the Cooperage. The bartenders are super amazing with incredible service. Love love love!

Holly Gallant: WOW!!! What a space!!! Went for the vintage show & between the bar, open concept, beautiful exposed brick, right on river & food trucks! Plus whoever they employed as dj was EXCELLENT!!!

lady yahingo Y-DZIA: I always enjoy going to the cooperate to hear Great music. Friendly staff.

Patrick Betcher (Betcher Photo): The Cooperage is one of the great Milwaukee venues that sits a bit off the beaten path and offers all kinds of opportunities to enjoy all that it has to offer. As an area wedding photographer, I love when the couples I work with choose the Cooperage as it's super photogenic on its own and within a very short walking distance to all kinds of unique locations. It can accommodate indoor as well as outdoor ceremony options, both of which are beautiful. It's right on the river and has carved out its own identity down in that area. The rooftop access provides an unobstructed view of the Hoan as well as the the Lake behind it. There's also a really nice apartment attached to the property which acts as a really convenient and unique prep space. If you're not getting married there, might as well stop by the compound to grab some tacos at Taco Moto or grab a cocktail and some beers at Boone & Crockett. I look forward to being back there many times, as the team who run the events also do a fantastic job of keeping things tight and have always been very collaborative in the mission of providing a great experience to clients.

Jesse Carl: Great local wedding venue, music venue, and bar. Its got the best view of the hoan bridge in MKE

Hailey Mathée: Overall, Maddie was great to work with. The appetizers & dinner food were as good as you will get, the bar service was quick and friendly, and the space is exactly what you make it!

Rebecca Wilson: Hidden gem! I was here for an event and was shocked at how nice it was - you wouldn't guess from the streetview! Such a cool space with personality and so many spots to wander or socialize. Will return!

Brett Vander Ploeg: and the drinks were tasty..such a selection as well! The venue itself is awesome, we got so many compliments on how cool the rustic cream city brick style was, as well as the moody lighting. We had 150 guests with an indoor ceremony and then room flip and it went very very well. The acoustics in the venue were very good, with the stage and venue being the perfect spot for a live band

Cptn Awesome: Loved that it wasn't crowded even though it was a sold out show.

Grace Foley: I was here to see The Beaches last week and the venue itself is wonderful! Small place but it felt big enough for a small concert. Outside of the venue, there were a few food trucks that look like they are there year round. And there was free parking too!

Jesus Perez: Best underground live music. Hidden beautiful place

Amy: Been going there for decades watching all my friends bands play and other live local acts. I like the deck out back where you can smoke and talk to people because 99% of the time everyone gets along and enjoy themselves. Good place for the bands to talk to the people after playing for P.R. I remember Pete Bali....dont know if he is still there and if still running the restaurant, if so reach out im top "boss" of entertainment in Milwaukee and crazy enough and being watched by hundreds of millions of people worldwide. If you want to raise customers and revenue immediately in a huge way let me know

Industrial Strength DJ - Weddings, Events & Parties: Great Mllw dive bar for live bands & DJs.Friendly vibes & cool atmosphere.Parking space Plenty of parking Parking options Free street parking …

Anthony Nilles: Old school dive with a stage in the corner. Cash only. For what it is, it's great. It's like watching a band play in your friends basement -- and I mean that in the best way.

Cindy Steinle: A true gem in the underground music scene and Pete is one of the greatest bartenders in MKE.All bands should play here once. It ain't fancy but the sound is fantastic.

Muhammad Abdulaziz: Lovely group of instructors, They support and always push you to do better.

Kelly R: The atmosphere is fun and inclusive. The socials are very good

Jason Lau: What are you waiting for?? JOIN and START your salsa/bachata journey!!! The affordable first month deal makes it easy to try and you don't need a partner! You rotate and meet everyone anyways which is my favorite part! Everyone has their own unique feel and touch and that's what makes it fun.Whether you are a total beginner or have danced before, you will find fun, engaging classes to learn combos or further solidify fundamentals.Aside from the classes, you will also find a vibrant community of people from all walks of life who are passionate about dance and growing together.I am sad to be leaving Milwaukee, but I am so grateful to have found my people, as well as myself, at this studio. I hope you will too. Best wishes!

Katherine Frances M. Wilson: Josh and Amber have done an excellent job supporting the Latin dance community in Milwaukee. Daync Academy is a great spot to social dance. The floor was smooth, the room stayed cool the entire time, and people were so nice.

Blu Jo: Excellent teachers! Grand time attending the social.

ejk2911: They don't really focus on technique. Just a bunch of turn patterns. At the end of the class everyone is usually doing their own thing. But it's nice that they teach a lot of dance patterns. Most places are stingy with turn patterns.

Zoraida Salcedo: Great music, great people, love to the art of dancing, great ventilation.People that come really love to dance and the ambience is awesome. Love not having to deal with drunk people——I love going to Daync, the space is awesome, very well ventilated, the good to dance is super comfortable. The DJs they bring are really good, super great music. They have built an amazing community, super safe to dance and the level is great. The performances they bring are breath taking.I wish they were closer and I was able to go more often.

Leslie Gibbs: Nice space, great space for a nice gathering of up to 80 people

Nestor Murillo: The instructors care about you and your dance journey. Highly recommend if you want to learn bachata or salsa!

Jose Carrasco: Friendly environment, a lot of practice and effective repetition. I always have fun and time flies!

Rebecca Augustine: This is our night we look forward to weekly! We love the "family " of wonderful and supportive friends that we have made here all while gaining a skill and appreciation for Latin dance from Josh and Amber. They are so patient, kind and give clear and concise dance instruction mixed with lots of humor! Such an outstanding approach and it makes Daync studio the best studio we have ever studied through!

DAVID RAMIREZ RIVAS: Beautiful place

Bridget Wolfgram: Great space for a Formal event, will make your guests gasp in excitement.

Michael Kujawski: Lovely facilities, clean, nicely appointed.

Dave Foster: Awesome venue.

Emily Anderson: I attended a wedding reception here last year. Everything was perfect. The service was fantastic and the space is worth raving about.

Stephen Hudson: Fantastic, first time inside the building and it's gorgeous. Bartolotta catering made the food at every station delicious. Also, there was little to no waiting, which is common for mothers day brunches. That alone made it worth the price.

Patricia Jordan: Beautiful, as usual. I was there for prom over 30 years ago.

Chad Van Dusen: Amazing atmosphere with an amazing brunch by the Bartollota Group. Everything I had was delicious, and the seasoning was on point.

Dave Lein: When you think of the name Bartolotta you think of quality and professionalism which is exactly what you'll experience here. Immediately greeted by the hostess, waiter to take drinks and explain the menu, followed by some of the best food and drinks you can purchase. Always will be a fan of Bartolotta and worth the money and your time. Thanks for having us for Easter 2023.

Hannah Davis: We got married a few weeks ago and we are so incredibly happy with our decision to have our reception at The Grain Exchange. Maria and Christean were phenomenal to work with - from the initial consultation through the day of the event. Everything, from the gorgeous room to the fantastic food to the flow of events, was spectacular. I had many people comment that the food was the best they've had at a wedding. That's what you get with Bartolotta's! The day was above and beyond what we had hoped for and we can't recommend the team at The Grain Exchange highly enough.

Brittany Tobin: Went there for a wedding. It’s was beautiful, the food was good, and the service was good. Only thing I would say is maybe have a staff member on wine duty during dinner.

Will Cappon: Beautiful, historic building. Great wedding venue.

Scott Mohr: Beautiful historic venue. Wonderful food.
