Ace F: This shelter is incredible. All of the volunteers are friendly, and the atmosphere is relaxed and personal. Compared to other shelters I've been to its a lot quieter, which results in happier more comfortable cats. They have both cuddly kittens and sweet adult cats who are looking for their forever homes. It's hard to make a choice when you just want to take all of them home!

Donna A: We went there to donate food at the recommendation of a friend. The employees were nice and let us look around. The cats appeared well cared for and the place was clean. There were several young volunteers helping out and being educated. I was impressed during my short visit there. It's easy to criticize when you don't understand how humane societies and rescues work, and the difficulties, limitations and heartbreak they face on a daily basis. My friend and I worked for many years at a humane society and I used to grit my teeth when people would say they could never work there "because I love animals too much." Huh? Good job, Second Hand Purrs, and keep it up.

Naomi Cartee: Cool ballroom. Had a nice experience. Parking is horrible though. Definitely would recommend Uber.

Eric O'Dell: Attended a show at the Eagles Ballroom and largely had a good time. Things could be better marked but the worst part was the lack of air conditioning. It was 77 degrees outside and the best they could do was open some windows. Air ended up stagnant and super humid. It was less noticeable during the show but in between sets it was miserable and the room temperature $5 bottles of Costco water didn’t help.

Two registers were open, line lasted about 5 minutes til check out. Prices a little high. My oldest daughter’s costume was $50, and youngest was $30. I found a little cat tail & ears set, $15, for myself. Besides that, we went for the experience. We drive past the big pumpkin everyday and I had to let them go inside finally. Will we be back next year? Absolutely not. This mama will be buying Halloween costumes on Amazon AHEAD OF TIME. 😂
