Siena: Had a lovely time there on New Year’s Eve. Dinner was delicious! Black truffle ravioli was great. Veal soup wasn’t what we expected but it was okay. Scallops is so far the best of all the restaurants I’ve been to! The filet mignon was overcooked when I cut it open but they quickly had it remade and It was cooked perfectly the second time. We loved both dessert, thought chocolate would be really heavy and dense but it melted in your mouth right away and the flavor and sweetness were just perfect for us. Overall it was a great experience. We stayed for the party and really enjoyed our time there. Will be going back to try their regular menu for sure!

I wish I could afford to try them all!Absolutely delish! We went for a little brunch and ended up splurging on a three course meal. I made the joke when ordering dessert that I would have to be wheeled out of the restaurant. It was all so good though that my willpower abandoned me. I would highly recommend!

Dave Dunn: Last two times I have gone here I have had bad food. Fried chicken livers way over done, and beef shank was dry and tough, variable were under cooked to he point of being raw. And last time I went somehow my bill came out to $168. I had drinks and bought cocktails mix to go, but just seemed like too much after I thought about it. Not sure if I trust restaurant manger, seemed to be playing around with the bill.

Bel: I had a delicious cup of coffee and ordered the following: Mushroom and spinach waffle. Bread pudding waffle with mushroom duxelle, broccolini, salad, feta, truffle oil, poached eggs and smoked shallot marmalade. Looks great....however, my waffle was burned and BLACK on the bottom. Also one egg was hard in the center, not poached. Not inedible, but it could have been an amazing dish if they hadn't plated the burned waffle. The accompanying salad had a very good dressing....love breakfast with some salad on the plate. Great atmosphere and service. I'll be back.

Jessica: I live in the far north suburbs in Illinois and sometimes visit the Harbor House when I'm in the area. I have tried a few different entrees and plan on ordering a different dish each visit.Their Crispy Pork Belly appetizer is delicious. There's a nice, satisfying crunch to the pork belly skin and the meat itself is tender. The Hudson Canyon Sea Scallops entree comes with four perfectly seared sea scallops thoughtfully accompanied with salmon roe, which makes the flavors come together and pop – both literally and metaphorically. I've also had the Rainbow Trout entree, which was very fresh.It's refreshing to see that Harbor House offers two kinds of lobster rolls: Main-Style and Connecticut-Style. I prefer Connecticut-Style, so that's what I ordered at Harbor House. The kitchen is generous with the amount of lobster meat. The toasted Brioche bun is so good you can eat it on its own. I don't think Harbor House uses Maine lobster, but I wish they do because Maine lobster is still hands down by far the best tasting lobster because of it's naturally sweet flavor profile.Customer service at Harbor House is also outstanding. The hostess is always very friendly. Even though we didn't exchange eye contact as I was leaving the restaurant, the hostess wished me a good evening, which led me to turn around and wish her the same.I wasn't sure whether to rate the Harbor House 4 or 5 stars because the food is overly salty. The heavy salt content reacts with the acidity of some of their dishes and made my mouth tingle. That's my only issue with the food at Harbor House, but it doesn't really stop me from visiting again when I'm in the area. 5 stars anyway.

We were surprised that bread wasn't a staple and we had an upcharge of 2.00 for the 🥨 pretzel bread when the dinner plates were 40 bucks a person. We went here bc it was rated high and we are both of Hermanic descent. I am second generation half Bavarian and Austrian -Irish, while my sweetie is Swiss Irish. Kathryn O'Donnell: I had dinner there tonight. I ordered the lamb carpaccio. It was absolute heaven! I can not wait to go back for this dish and to try everything else on the menu. When I called to make reservations for 1, they saved me a spot at the bar to watch the chefs in action. This restaurant is obsessive. Very excited to check out the wine dinners they are offering.I finally feel like Milwaukee is growing on me after moving here 9 months ago.

Jason: Lots of wood and brick inside. A giant chalkboard of local farms that support the restaurant is displayed over the bar area. Pretty sure everything on the menu is sourced locally, at least that was the impression I got. This really shows in the flavors.Food portions are incredibly generous for the price. This is the spot to go for morel mushrooms if they are in season.Drinks are great. Nice balance of flavors there too. Main course Trout is really fantastic. This was completely deboned, but presented as whole. Hopefully that's how all their fish is served.Dessert fell a bit short compared to the flavor, creativity and ingredients in the starters and mains. Maybe I just picked the wrong one. Would come back.

Michelle Alvarez: and the trout. They managed to make the polenta taste cheesy, and it was super savory. It was the only time I've liked it. The mushrooms served on top were tangy and a perfect pair with the polenta. The trout was very tender and had big flavor. The duck breast and rabbit ragout were also great. I enjoyed the goat cheesecake. I was skeptical because goat cheese can have a strong flavor, but it was perfect. There was a large selection of wine and delicious cocktails. Beautiful interior with lots of warm lighting and artwork. A very welcoming place. I would absolutely return, mostly for that polenta!

I must say it should be a must if you live or are visiting Milwaukee.With having roots of being a Butcher Shop and having an open kitchen concept, this place hit all the marks.The service was attentive. I liked it. Normally I will not eat scallops because the texture or flavor or both are a turn off, but not with these. These had enough firmness to not be jell-o-ie, yet still weren't tough. They didn't have a 'dirty' flavor that I often experience, but had a very nice caramel crisp from being seared. Talking to our waiter, it turns out they get them "dry packed" and that maintains the freshness as though straight off the boat.Whatever the reason, WOW.Now for what was my real favorite turned out to be the goose sausage and duck, although personal preference is that the duck be just slightly more cooked, that did not take away from the dish.Every bit of love a chef could put into their profession went into this meal. Were it proper to give a huge to the person that pleased the tastes this well, I'd go back just to give a firm embrace of thanks.Amazing, thank you.

The kids received a drink in a thin plastic cup which was decorated with child friendly HD designs and a cute bendy straw. Their food smelled and looked amazing. Most importantly they finished their two hamburger sliders and most of the fries which were served on frisbees! My fish fry was delicious, the corn bread amazing and coleslaw great. Paul N.: The two of us had an early reservation on a Saturday night and we were some of the first to be seated. Since this was our first time at Three Brothers, we decided to try the burek, sarma, goulash, and stuffed peppers. Our server was very friendly and walked us through the menu. Orders do take some time to come out, but the wait wasn't unpleasant as we both had a drink and some warm rye bread while we waited. Since we were going to share each menu item, we got the chance to rate them and discuss their high points. I have to say that the sarma was outstanding. The pickled cabbage has a pleasant tang to it that doesn't overpower the dish but will sit on your tongue for a while. The goulash was rich and the meat was fork-tender. The stuffed peppers had a bright green pepper flavor, which was expected. I've had the pleasure of trying burek while traveling through the former Yugoslavia, and Three Brothers has brought authentic flavors and textures to Milwaukee, for sure. We finished the night with a slice of ten-layer cake. I expected something massive to come out, but it was light, bright, and perfect for two people to share. Our waitress was attentive, stopping at our table many times to check on us. She let us know that we could order ahead if we were pressed for time, or if we wanted an appetizer to come out soon after we arrived. Since we didn't feel rushed, the wait for our food flew by. To some, the venue might seem a bit loud once the tables are all filled, but the history of the tied bar comes through and that's the price you pay when you are enjoying something great coming out of a kitchen like that. Worth it all. Go!

Jingwen: Stopped by Goodkind for a post-ski meal with friends and had a fantastic experience. The restaurant was full, but the friendly host managed to make us feel personally welcomed. Really enjoyed the vibe and the ambiance. The food exceeded our expectations across the board—from appetizers to desserts. I've already recommended it to several friends.

dusty roller: Update: the last couple times I have visited I paid $30 for a cut of meat that was absolutely garbage. Flavor was on point but the meat itself was rough.All hail good kind! Every visit has been mind-blowing

Madyun Wilson: Goodkind served me some of the best restaurant food I had in months. I'm extremely excited to take on new restaurants for you all in Mke. The staff was a 10/10 every person was friendly, timely, and knowledgeable. They greeted and seated us in a very populated area of the bar so we ordered cocktails immediately. They had a very impressive menu that out scaled most Chicago restaurants in prowess. The chef exceeded himself when our food arrived and the presentation and attention to detail were demonstrated very well. I would give them more than five stars if I could. They are located in Bay View so it is a drive, however they are one the best I've had so far and it's definitely worth it!

Braise Restaurant & Culinary School: what do users think?

Morgan S: Stopped in at Braise last night with a friend for the 3-course dinner! You won’t find better ingredients or a better deal. It is truly a one of a kind dining experience and the food is AMAZING—not to mention generously portioned. From start to finish you get a choice between two delicious appetizers, two main course items, and choice between two desserts. This was my second time to Braise and I look forward to coming back. I had the mushroom risotto and highly recommend it. The waitstaff and bartenders are very friendly and add to the overall experience. Perfect for date night with the hubby, or drinks with your girlfriends!

Angela Zuniga: Great service every time we dine in! Perfect date night or even our larger girls nights out are always a hit when we dine at Braise. The waitstaff makes sure we are well taken care of and and is knowledgeable about the food they are serving. They accommodate our many dietary restrictions and the food is always fresh and delicious! Easily the best date night spot in Milwaukee. A must visit.

Liz Fiene: First time having Xiao long bao and I have never had anything like this before! It was my favorite item we tried of the night, would definitely have again if it appeared back on the menu. I love that the ingredients are local and the menu rotates to bring me out of my comfort zone and try new things. Since m still exploring and determining what flavors I like/don’t like, I enjoy that the bartenders can make me something with just some personal input and some questions. I’ve only been here during the winter season but I am looking forward to patio season and I hope they have the patio/rooftop open in addition to their normal seating once summer hits! I just signed up for their tamales cooking class in May and I am looking forward to seeing this side of the restaurant next!

Megan Fiene: I love coming to Braise and eating in the bar area. Their booths and candle lights give a cozy atmosphere and can make a perfect date night. Sit at the bar to enjoy fun conversations and witness Flan and Evan crafting up the amazing cocktails behind the bar. Even if you don’t see a drink on the menu that catches your eyes, they can make anything you are feeling or give them the freedom to surprise you with a “dealers choice” cocktail. Ingrid Davis: I absolutely cannot express how AMAZING Braise Restaurant & Culinary School was for our reception. I cannot say enough wonderful things about this venue. We reserved the upstairs room, including the outdoor space that provided a beautiful view of the city.Becky Ayala, the restaurant manager, was a dream to work with. She was responsive to my emails and detail-oriented, which was so helpful during the reception planning process.The beautifully decorated room dazzled guests the moment they arrived at Braise and established the vibe for the rest of the room’s design. We also loved having the outdoor space, which was perfectly decorated, with floral arrangements placed everywhere. We opted for a family-style dinner. Locally sourced seasonal food inspired the menu of Mixed Green Salad, Lemon Risotto, Montreal Chicken and Soy Braised Beef. The food was delicious and the two wedding cocktails, Crazy Dave’s Old Fashioned and Rhubarb Lemonade were wonderful and flavorful. Our waiter, Kira and David, our bartender, were exceptional and on top of everything. The timing of the dishes was efficiently paced to allow sufficient time in between dishes.Everything was superb, and our guests raved about the venue and the food. I cannot recommend Becky and her team highly enough. You will not regret booking your venue in Braise.

Chrissi Quinn: We had our wedding dinner here and the catering was phenomenal. We booked out the first floor and the split between cocktails in the bar area and dinner in the dining room was a nice little change of setting. The braised beef, pork buns, and chocolate mouse were hits, guests even took leftovers home. The lemon curd wedding cake made by the pastry chefs was great and beautifully but tastefully decorated. I hope we can come back for all our anniversaries.Wheelchair accessibility: My significant other's mom is in an electric wheelchair and it was easy for her to get in and navigate around the first floor.

Edward Kutz: was terrific all evening, with great timing. All 10 of us we delighted with our meals. Thank you so much for a great evening!

Steve DiGregorio: First time here from out of town, i sat at the bar for dinner as I was dining alone. The bar tender was very friendly, attentive and had some good suggestions on the menu. I ended up starting with the mussels which were excellent, the sauce was great to dip the warm bread in. The Carbonara was good as well, I thought the portion size was good, in house made pasta, cooked slightly al denté which is exactly how it should be. Very nice. The wine selection is good, with plenty of great Italian wines to choose from, and even wines by the glass had a nice selection. It was a pleasant experience. I will be back.

Mern: Zarletti’s is always food prepared well. Two criticisms exist each time I visit. First is that presented with specials of the day prices should be included or expressed by the server. A diner shouldn’t have to ask. It’s uncomfortable for all concerned and unnecessary.The second relates to GF. Having a GF option available for pasta is very nice. But a $4 addition to the price for something that is not preferential but necessary is a slap in the face even if they do make their own. It says “we don’t really want to do it, but if you insist we will.” As GF pasta is never worth the calories, the added cost makes this menu option easy to pass up.Unfortunately then secondo options as backup are minimal. Having eaten my way around Italy I am aware that flour is not necessary to this portion of an Italian meal. And yet it is at Zarletti’s. Having to eat GF, and having eaten here four times, I have tried all that is possible with two of those choices being specials. Eating the special of the day can possibly be GF but with prices not listed, there’s a 50/50 chance of being costly and prohibitive so the check can be a surprise if you don’t ask the uncomfortable and obvious question. What is bothersome though is that many of the secondo options could easily be GF as would exist in Italy but there is no desire to make it so. So what remains is a sense that GF is not welcome.When all is considered, Zarletti’s is great food. If you’re GF and plan to eat here often your dining options are limited and possibly more costly.Atmosphere rec’d 3 stars because the music is too loud for the small space and the selection doesn’t add to ambiance but is rather an annoyance.

Space is very limited - the restaurant has maybe 10 small tables - and all visits must be reserved in advance via their website. Situated on the Kinnikinnic River near E Becher Street and tucked behind a maze of industrial buildings, it’s not the easiest restaurant to find for the first time. Kelly Price: We went for Gene's popup supper club and had a great time! The Christmas decor and lights looked great but the food was the star! We had oysters to start that were delicious and so fresh. I tried the lobster bisque followed by scallops with a lemon burre blanc sauce. My BF had the filet and it was the best filet either of us have had! This will be a new holiday tradition if they do it again next year.

Nell McCaffery: Last night, my date and I had fabulous meal at Gene's Supper Club, aka Barnacle Bud's. What a fun concept. It was cozy with a bit of kitschy holiday flair! The food and cocktails were DELICIOUS! We love the mussels, with a bit of heat, the cheese curds that we're freshly fried in homemade same day batter. My filet with mushroom and garlic herb butter and roasted potatoes and asparagus was cooked perfectly for my tastes, medium rare. I had two cocktails, the cranberry Tom Collins and the Sidecar. The Sidecar was my favorite, but both were tasty! If you can, snag a reservation for this fun pop-up event!

Joseph Henderson: Capital Grill is always one of my favorites. I love the service but for some reason I have been a little disappointed in their food. This round had lobster bisque and salmon with couscous. The lobster bisque was amazing. The salmon and couscous lacked flavor and salt. I know salt is objective but even when added it lacked other flavors. I am providing a great review because service is always top notch.
