Mirian Lopez: Update: For order pickup, CALL the store. Do not order online because there is a $2-3 increase in online prices. If you call and pickup your order, you get the same prices as dining in.This is a MUST EAT spot in South Milwaukee! The food is amazing and the service is great. As a family of vegetarians and non-vegetarians, we always have choices in the menu to enjoy. I personally always have Shahi Paneer and naan. Make sure to adjust for the hotness level, but other than that, enjoy! My friend introduced me to the location and since then I've recommended this spot to everyone I know.

Jason Bennett: My wife and I made a Saturday date out of checking out Levantine grocery stores in the Milwaukee area. We had three stops on our list: Breadhouse, Holy Lands Grocery and Attari grocery.Our second stop was Holy Lands. When we walked in I was tempted to buy a couple of their baked goods but we’d already placed an order at Bread House. The baked goods looked fantastic but we didn’t try. Next time for sure.They had a grill on site where they were cooking up kabobs, mixed grill and a variety of other plates. We didn’t try anything so my rating is simply on looks, smells and options.Based on our needs we could’ve ended our day there but we continued on

James Uzziah Hammond: Food is traditional Persian cuisine. Nice little restaurant with a pleasant atmosphere. You walk in, read the menu from overhead, and order at the register. They call you when your order is ready. You fill your drinks from the soda fountain. It's pretty typical of an American fast food restaurant, with the exception of food and perhaps price - lunch for 3 folks was around $51.00.
Anne Marie DeBoard: We really enjoyed our dinner here. I was visiting from out of town and we had one person in our party that is vegan and gluten free. This was an excellent option for him AND I didn't realize this, but he is actually Persian, so it turned out great. It's a counter service restaurant. I ordered the vegan plate and the beef Koubideh. The beef was excellent! The vegan plate had wonderful hummus, and a salad along with rice. The rice was a little bland but everything else was wonderful. I only wish they had some sumac seasoning.

Full of spices and flavor, the wrap is the perfect texture and the size is exactly enough to fill your appetite. We travel at least once a week from Menomonee Falls just for their food! While mainly a grocery store focused on items not found at traditional U.S. grocers, the grill offers made to order organic Halal fare. The food is prepared in front of the customers in just a few minutes and is absolutely delicious!I had the beef wrap and it was a flavor explosion in the best sense! The medium seasoning, recommended by the staff, was just the right amount of spice for my taste. My wife ordered the Peshwari Chicken Chapli Kabab. This dish was also excellent, if a little spicy for her taste. Both our servings were extremely generous, and we’re already making plans to go back!I definitely recommend Zaika Mart & Grill! Enjoy some flavor!

MistahZ: Went to the Damascus Gate and I was glad I did! The building itself, aside from some reconstruction going on outside at the moment, is pretty spacious, atmospheric and pretty on the inside! The service inside was nice and quick, friendly, and git me my food soon after taking my order! Side food was really good! Falafel, meat and rice dish, hummus, and on a lessee note lentil soup amd bread were all tasty and at a good affordable price! Aside from the soup and bread JUST NEEDING to be a pinch better and the area the restaurant was in being a little shady, I liked Damascus Gate and would suggest giving it a try once if you're in the area!Video and Pictures are of the inside of the building, menu, and food I got!Vegetarian options: Plenty of non meat poultry or chicken options on the menu!Dietary restrictions: Most menu items are clearly there to read and what details aren't, you can ask about!Parking: No GOOD lots and seems more street based!Kid-friendliness: It seems like a kid friendly place but aside from the French Fries? I dunno if kids would like the food!Wheelchair accessibility: Didn't seem like a difficult place for wheelchair bound folks to get into!

Matthew Sorenson: This place really went above and beyond for Valentine's Day... The decor, flowers, ambiance, complimentary dessert and rose, not to mention the friendly service!! I am highly impressed with one of my go-tos on the Eastside. I hope that you stay open forever.Places like this are what makes Milwaukee great.I guess I should not be too surprised. I have never left disappointed.
Mercedes Kirk: Last minute, I had to shift an 8 person birthday dinner to this restaurant rather than the venue we planned. I fully expected to need a reservation with a party that large, but they were incredibly accommodating, even when 2 members were 20 minutes late. We ordered 5 appetizers and all were hits at our table. The staff was so quick to refill drinks and check on us, as well as take plates. Our food was delicious, everyone enjoyed and had more than enough.I can't stress enough how attentive the servers are. Plus, the staff overheard that we were there to celebrate a birthday, and when we ordered dessert they surprised us with a candle and song, and all wished us a great night. It meant so much to me! I'm so glad we were able to go.
