David Shoals: We recently did an accessible bath remodel adding a zero threshold shower and a make-up counter and cabinets. Carol was great to work with on the design. She listened to our input and provided a great design and solution for our needs. All of the tradesmen were very professional and polite. The project was completed on schedule and in budget. The completed project exceeded our expectations for workmanship, function, and design. We would definitely use AB&K again.

Tim Heeley: We wanted to remodel our bathroom by removing the original tub and creating a walk-in shower. We had several contractors over to get estimates including Cream City. Cream Cities estimate was right in line with the others. The one thing we liked about Cream City was the detailed design we were given. We then decided on Cream City.Another challenge we had was we were leaving to go to AZ for two weeks and wanted to have this project completed while we were gone as this is our only bathroom. Cream City had their crew stop in and look at the project ahead of time and we arranged with entry into our house while we were gone.We got daily updates on progress with pictures including finding that in our 100 year old house we had some wood rot behind the old tile. Cream City remedied this situation at their cost and completed the project before we arrived home.Hats off to the Cream City team and their approach to our project. We are more than satisfied with the results and are now enjoying our walk-in shower.Thanks Jim Grote and team for a job well done. I would highly recommend them for your remodeling projects.

S Rice: Our kitchen remodel was a huge project but due to the knowledge and experience of Jim and Todd at Cream City Construction all went smoothly. The design was beautiful and the timeline was followed. Jim went out of his way to track down the granite originally selected for our countertops. We appreciated the selections made for our sink, faucet, flooring etc. so we weren't overwhelmed with decisions. All the tradespeople were very professional and great to work with. Our kitchen is not only what we wanted - it is better than we could have imagined. We both enjoy having the room to work together in our new kitchen.

Julie Gundersen: We used Cream City on a substantial design/build project this year involving the addition of a master bedroom suite to our home. Our home was built in the 1930’s so it was important to create a new space that fit with the style of the home while also providing modern amenities and space utilization. Another challenge involved matching the stone exterior of the new space with the existing stone exterior. Cream City did a great job, completing the project on time and on budget. The new space feels like it was always part of the home and the exterior matches perfectly, down to the stonework and windows. This was the second project that we have completed with Cream City and we would definitely use them again.

James Caragher: LaBonte did a fantastic job on our kitchen and garage renovation/build out. The bidding process was thorough and transparent. Their subcontractors performed well, were easy to work with, and were very accountable for quality and schedule. Unexpected issues were handled professionally and any necessary change orders were fair and reasonable. The overall quality of the construction was great, and most importantly the job was done on time! I can't say enough good things about LaBonte Contruction, and wholeheartedly recommend them.

They have a create network of subs, who were also great. They did a good job keeping on schedule and we're really happy with the quality of the work.

Robin Kuhns: LaBonte Construction was recommended by my Interior Decorator to do the renovation of our newly purchased condo and I am so grateful. Based on my prior experience with contractors and house renovations, LaBonte is the best. They provided a detail cost estimate and timeline when you sign the contract so there are no surprises as the work progresses. A project manager was assigned to coordinate the sub contractors and ensure the work was done per plan. We were out of state during the renovations, and the Project Manager kept us informed and sent photos of the progress. When we came up at the end of the renovation, the Project Manager was very responsive to to our questions and the minor items that needed to be addressed. Overall LaBonte Construction met their deadlines, their employees and subcontractors were trustworthy and knowledgeable and we are please with the quality of work. More than a few times, I've had a very specific idea for how a space would be used or look and each time they delivered on my vision. They worked with us to make sure projects fit our budget, space out projects so we could continue to live at home during the construction, and make adjustments as needed along the way. Their team has been extremely responsive to our questions and concerns--even our smallest nitpicks got immediate attention. Our last project with MKE ended about 9 months ago, but just this week we asked them a question about our window screens and got a same-day answer. Elisa: We loved our experience with MKE Design! They were organized, communicative and most of all honest. Michelle was fantastic to assist with all the design and layout. She was so patient with all of my questions. I really respected her opinion and input, and the finished product is better than we could've imagined! MKE did a full demo and remodel of our kitchen, master bath, mud room, built a new stair rail, and opened up walls to make the home look more open. We also added a skylight in our stairway. While the project ended up costing more than the original quote, most of that was due to my desire to have higher end finishes. My suggestion for anyone remodeling is to look carefully at the quote and get an idea of how their quote for items like lighting, fixtures, tile, etc. compares to those that you have already been eyeing. Those were the only items that weren't exactly inline, all of the costs related to building materials, labor, etc. was all on point. The team was always timely and professional. Everyone was at the house by 7:30-8am to get to work, and they worked their butts off until 5pm EVERYDAY. We lived through the majority of the renovation, and they were very accommodating to that. They always made sure to put up plastic zippered walls to avoid getting dust in areas that they weren't working on. I also appreciated that if something was off, they would immediately fix it. Michaela Moore: MKE Design Build goes above and beyond for not only their clients, but for future architects, like myself. I spent two days shadowing this company to gain more insight into where I could be heading in my life after college. Not only was I given the opportunity to view current and past project plans, I was able to see and be apart of projects in real time on the different sites. Elayne Waeltz: We cannot say enough about the fabulous experience we had working with MKE Design Build on the remodel of our kitchen. When Michelle came to our home the first time we told her the things we did not care for in the layout of our kitchen. With her knowledge and expertise she listened to us and worked to design a kitchen that is not only beautiful but seems much larger and definitely more efficient than our original kitchen. When the demolition and construction began, Tom was fabulous at keeping us informed on site and with weekly emails informing us what had been accomplished and what to expect the following week. Each day the worksite was left clean and safe. Tom and Michelle were so professional, helpful and kind as we picked things out, asked questions, changed our minds and took forever making decisions. However, I was impressed at our consultation with Michelle. After talking about what we envisioned for updates to our kitchen she nailed it on the design. I was also impressed that as the home owners if we wanted to do our own demo to cut on cost she and her team gave us the green light. She was very transparent in all aspects, cost estimate, revisions on design, and provided a detailed timeline. Even though we weren't able have MKE complete the job, which makes me sad, I would call them back once we are ready to move forward.

Everyone was friendly, courteous, and exacting—they were more concerned about getting things right than we were! Had a couple hiccups as any project does and all of them were handled with class. Love the finished product, AND it fit in flawlessly with an older house. On budget as well. Highly recommended.
Jon Giuliani: Needless to say, remodeling is not a pleasant process but Sazama did an extraordinary job of getting it done on time, within budget, and as painless as possible.Starting with the design process they were very helpful in balancing a desire for a first class project with reasonable budget parameters. In almost all cases, we used the designers recommendations and in the final review, glad we did.The execution was excellent. They provide a personal website with detailed schedule and stuck to the schedule with the only exception of changes that we asked for.The Sazama team is wonderful. The direct Sazama employees as well as the subcontractors were all pleasant, professional, and never an imposition.The project manager, Carlos Dorger was on call 24/7 and has an incredible attention to detail and follow through.I think the most important comment I can make is their ability to resolve a problem. We had an issue with the refrigerator door not being able to fully open. Without hesitation, they found a suitable solution, modified the cabinets, swapped out the refrigerator, making what appeared to be a huge problem, into an elegant solution at no additional charge to us.Sazama is a premium contractor, but as the saying goes, "you get what you pay for"!Long story short, I am glad I used Sazama and would highly recommend them.

Greshma Naresh: Al and Silvia walked the place together for me, and in about 20 mins of the walk-through I had my rehab estimates, rent estimates, and my pictures/videos ready. It takes DAYS to be able to get these details together.Al’s rehab scope-of-work/ estimates were not only accurate when compared to the home-inspection report but also close to the final rehab cost. His ARV estimates were spot on too!! :

They reconfigured and refinished our basement a few years ago and, most recently, completely overhauled our kitchen with a new layout and design. The results are stunning! We were so happy with the initial design presented to us, as it was more creative and open than we pictured we could do with the space! Throughout the process, our project manager Andrew and designer Stephanie were extremely professional, responsive and creative. Any issues that came up were resolved quickly and with the best solution possible. They truly wanted to make sure we were happy with the results and that everything would exceed our expectations. Cindy Buchan: Our kitchen was a very standard and boring space designed for lifestyles of the 1960s when the house was built. The floorplan prohibited movement and had several “pinch points” which is a problem for a family with 3 school age children, and included some large, wasted spaces such as long narrow walk-in pantry. Beyond poor functionality, the “eat in” dining area was located under a wide low soffit that housed some water and HVAC but was a major eyesore.The design team at Refined Renovations was able to provide several options for us that completely reimagined the space to accommodate our current lifestyle. Tight quarters were transformed into open spaces while staying within the general footprint of the original kitchen. They were able to turn eyesores into architectural assets that were both visually interesting and functional with additional and useful storage. Building materials including cabinetry and countertop choices were beautiful and high quality. Most importantly, the final design and finishing choices blended seamlessly with existing rooms and other recent renovation projects to keep the whole house looking thoughtfully connected and cohesive.The tradesmen and subcontractors were extremely professional and kept the workspace clean, which was of critical importance since the project encompassed over half of our first floor including the heart of the house.Thanks for the great experience Refined Renovations!

The RR team has demonstrated a strong commitment for making my family's vision for our "forever" home come true. We look where we started and where we have come and are astonished at the positive results we have obtained using RR. We have renovated our entire home, including an addition to our upper level. Despite it being a multi year and multi-phase project, I could not imagine a smoother process. We are especially thankful for our project lead, Andrew Schade. His carpentry is impeccable. From understanding our vision and bringing every detail to life, down to treating our home as if it were theirs and it truly shows! We had a pretty big renovation which included removal of walls, moving plumbing, re staining floors, complete gut of the kitchen and powder bath, HVAC relocation, a lot of electrical work as well as a lot of paint. DJM 414: For decades we had contemplated the need to gut and reimagine our kitchen, a kitchen with four doors and two windows. We knew two things: it would be a major investment and we knew our configuration made it difficult to even imagine a better solution. We worried that a magician couldn't make this space better.We hired NSKB because it has its own subcontractors. Their professionals stepped us through the design process as we explored idea after idea. When we locked in on our design, demo started. They said our project would be completed in two months and the only reason they finished five days past the due date was because we, the clients, had chosen to upgrade some aspects of the project. NSKB communicates with clients through a construction app so there is always one source of truth. Their subs are pros who take pride in their craftmanship. The NSKB construction team are terrific people who work to get it right. Their commitment is impressive. For example, a lot of work went into making our old kitchen plum. The owner still wasn't satisfied after extensive work had been done and had his team redo the plum work, which they did without complaint. We had great project managers who saw to every detail.In the end our change orders came to less than 10% of the project and our new kitchen is so terrific that it's improved our daily relationship with our charming, older home. No regrets.Finally, we found NSKB to be accountable, a rare and highly treasured professional quality in our book.We're pleased to recommend them.

I removed the walls between the dining room, family room, and kitchen, opening up the ceilings and all the drywall, rerouting water pipes, electric cords, and almost everything behind walls. I leveled the floor for hardwood flooring and the ceiling for new cherry cabinets. I bought from K.G. two slabs of granite to cover the countertop and 8 x 4 1/2 island. All worked as expected almost in time. My wife liked their policy to allow customers make all the specific decisions and choices. I liked Tom's mastery of the remodeling procedure. We have no complaint whatsoever, and love the result of their hard work more and more as time goes by.

We were very happy with the North Shore Kitchen and Bath group. She worked very closely and provided us a lot of good direction. We love the design that they came up with and did such a great job making the most of the space that we had in our kitchen remodel.

Emily Kopp: Don came by to quote a tub/tile grout job and was honest and straightforward about the repairs we’d actually need. Instead of trying to have us rip out our entire shower like another local company, he offered various affordable solutions. When the owner of a company is straight with you as a first time homeowner and isn’t trying to fool you into making a buck, you know it’s a solid company. He also was not pushy by any means, which made us feel much more at ease.

Daniel Steininger: We own a historic mansion built in 1914. Any plumbing repairs to home that old always comes with amazing challenges. The Borth plumbing experts were able to perform miracles in correcting bathroom plumbing problems without having to destroy the tile flooring. What they did was really rocket science. Justin Beitlich: I had a small connecting warm water pipe that looked like it could burst any day, I was quoted $450-$600 after texting in some photos to their master plumber. Upon arrival our plumber, Dennis, knew exactly what had to be done and did a great job in less than an hour with little mess or any water issues. Then came the bill, $367. Many companies would look at the $450 as their minimum price and charge you $450+ as quoted, I am very impressed with their honesty & integrity. 5 Stars all day.
