Wehr Nature Center: what do users think?

Jeremy Iushewitz: First time visiting, and on a drizzly Thursday I spent the majority of my day exploring the grounds. Upon arrival I went into the Nature Center paid for my parking and the young lady was very informative and answered all my questions. While there was not much greenery yet the trails are easily accessible and clean! I even saw a few deer grazing deep in the brush. Overall I had a fantastic time and I recommend people come visit!

Laura Hauter: Nice trail, friendly staff. can’t wait to come back in spring.

Christine Leung: Went here for the first time. A really nice place to walk / hike around and the scenery is great. There's an information center at the Wehr Nature Center where you can go in to get more info and restrooms are available.

Kaye Martin: A breath of fresh air in a beautiful setting. A MUST SEE!

Lori Wilear: A favorite place

Amber Fields: We had a birthday party here and Howard was absolutely amazing with the kids. Everyone had so much fun and left with a big smile. The facility is spacious and comfortable. The kids were fully engaged and can’t wait to go back and check out their regular program offerings.

Tierney K: Really cool place. Our first visit was on Cider Sunday which was a phenomenal event!Loved all the trails. They are open year round and have tons of events. We became members and the price for an annual membership was so reasonable and the costs for the events are also very reasonable. Great local place, an oasis in the city. Beautiful way to get away from screens and out into nature.

Maureen Dahl: The Wehr Nature Center is a true gem for all southeastern Wisconsin residents and we are so fortunate to have access to it. I absolutely love immersing myself into the beauty of nature while walking around the lake. Numerous species of birds, along with turtles, fish, sand cranes and more are what you might come a peas on your way.

Ben Van Raalte: Хороший короткий маршрут, по которому кажется, что вы находитесь дальше. Рядом с аэропортом, поэтому вы слышите самолеты, но это старый лес. Matthew Parrilli: What a great spot. This was our first visit but certainly not our last. There is a nominal entry fee. Adults are $10; kids are $7; children under 2 are free. Memberships are $70 which we will consider getting next time. With this fee you get access to several things not available at free parks and nature reserves. There is a well appointed welcome center, an observation tower, and an ADA-accessible pavilion. There are six miles of trails through a wide range of environments including forest, prairie, wetland, and beach. There are several different trail types—paved, crushed gravel, and dirt. Some were on the soggy side, but this is to be expected in late March.Even on a cool and overcast day, the park was beautiful and the wildlife was abundant. We saw turkeys, geese, ducks, deer, and ground squirrels. We heard a wide variety of bird which this preserve is known for. You can rent binoculars at the welcome center.During our 2+ hour visit, we walked most of the trails. It is a surprisingly compact park. We look forward to returning to experience its beauty during each of the seasons. Highly recommended.

Lorena Medina Velázquez: Very nice. It has different trails, all of them are too accessible for simple walks but with beautiful views and nice details along the way. You won't regret it. James Aderman: A beautiful walk in the late October woods at Falk Park. It's a mile from Rawson to Drexel. It was my first time here. I'm looking forward to visit after a snowfall.

Jodie Jahns: Spooky vibes

Melissa W: Very nice trail! Was just challenging enough to keep my toddler entertained.

Nathan Roelse: A really nice walking park with a couple loops.

Christine Noelle: A nice place in the city to escape the crowds and go for a walk in the woods! Did the loop twice and some side trails for a total of 3.7 miles on my Fitbit and I only saw three other people total while I was there. There's no particular view, just woods. But it was peaceful and very easy. Definitely would be nice in fall since it was a lot of maple and oak trees!

Robert Goetter: Real nice hidden park for a great quick walk
