Dr. Chad Carlson is a Professor of Neurology at the Medical College of Wisconsin who specializes in the treatment of patients with epilepsy. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a BA in German Literature and subsequently earned his medical degree from the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health in 2000. His internship was completed at the University of Illinois, Urbana/Champaign in 2001. He did his Neurology residency at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics and then pursued two years of fellowship training in Clinical Neurophysiology and Epilepsy at New York University.
Dr. Carlson's research interests include improved clinical classification of epilepsy surgery candidates, enhanced methods of detecting and removing the seizure onset zone in patients with treatment resistant epilepsy including quantitative approaches to electroencephalography and magnetoencephalography, and multi-model approaches to the functional mapping of language. As Program Director for the Neurology Residency and the Clinical Neurophysiology and Epilepsy Fellowships, he also has research interests in improving methods of engaging and educating future Neurologists suing technology and active learning approaches.

I have been having migraines for over 40 years, and more than 20 per month for 25-30 years. In spite of being on a myriad of drugs over the years, nothing has been effective at keeping them at bay. I went to Traci upon the recommendation of one of my colleagues who was pleased with her results for migraine treatment. Not only is she the best neurologist that I've seen, but by FAR the best medical professional I've ever had the pleasure to be treated by in my entire life. I have always beeen treated in a kind, compassionate loving manner by Traci. Though she does not get migraines herself, she is keenly aware of the agonizing pain and depth of despair chronic migraine sufferers endure. There have been a few treatment approaches that weren't fully successful, but she never gave up on me, nor would she let me give up. She continued to try different things until finding something that has dramatically helped my migraine disease. She's tried meds that my primary doctor has never heard of being used for migraine; she's innovative. She understands how insurance companies can try to impede care at times and will go to bat 100% for her patients. I have never felt rushed under her care. She sits down and takes all the time needed to be thorough in her interventions. She is always, always willing to answer every question I've ever had. Traci has been such a blessing in my life. I've been able to reclaim parts of my life that I had to give up on for many years due to migraine pain. Not only do her patients love her, but she is also well respected in the medical community. I couldn't possibly recommend any other doctor as strongly as I'd recommend Dr Purath. I am so grateful for her.
Phil Olson: Dr Purath is probably the best Dr I have ever seen. I couldn't believe it when I saw negative reviews about her. Every visit with her over the last seven years have been wonderful. She takes the time to let you tell her what your condition has been like since the last visit. Every question I've ever asked has been answered in a completely easy way to understand. I've even called the office when my headache and migraines were out of control. She was able to get me in within hours to adjust medication.If you see anything less than a 5 star review on here it's from someone that you can't please with anything. Shaun Bogan: , on the whole my experience has been very positive.I have mentioned her name to several doctors; virtually every doctor has known her name, spoke highly of her, and several have said they have referred patients to her.I do think this is well deserved. Along the way in figuring out my headaches she has made statements on my condition that have all turned out to be correct. She even suggested that my problem was likely to be best dealt with by a particular area of medicine that's not her specialty. So far, she appears to be correct about this prediction as well. While in my case the underlying cause is likely out of her specialty, she still is able to provide care that relieves some of the worst stages of my headaches.My perception is that she cares about her patients, and if I should run into someone in need of headache or migraine relief, I would absolutely refer them here. She obviously knows her specialty extremely well.

Paul Stencel: I began treatment with Dr Pollack because of pain in my right knee and the desire to avoid knee replacement. After treatments beginning in January 2023 the pain in my knee is nearly entirely gone. The therapy is painless and effective and doesn't disrupt life. Ashlee Whitty: I tore my meniscus last March. When I went the traditional route, I was told surgery would be my only option. I decided to give prolotherapy a try and have never regretted it once! Bridget is a skilled practitioner who listens and asks wise questions to figure out the best route of treatment. I have had four rounds of injections over the last year and have resumed all physical activity without surgery. I coach volleyball. I’m an active cyclist and hiker. I cannot recommend prolotherapy more!

He has seen amazing results and while still has some pain in his knee is 100% better than it was and he has been able to say he can put off surgery. Also he can finally raise his arm over his head again.... something he hasn't been able to do for years. Such great results that when I started to have severe elbow pain from working out Bridget was my first call and in just one treatment my elbow is back to normal! Highly recommend!
