It makes sense to shop local, and there's no better boost to the community than our community-owned co-op, which is stocked with fresh local produce, dairy, and meats, plus packaged goods that are delicious and healthful. The deli selections are outstanding, smoothies and juices are tasty, and the baked goods are yummy, whether the recipes are vegan, gluten-free, or traditional. There is even a soup and salad bar! The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, too!
Gwyneth Kattman: I was surprised with how inexpensive things are here, even compared to bigger chain stores. Their kitchen has the best food too. I would recommend the tapioca popovers and a strawberry smoothie.

I brought memory drops about a year ago just to see if will it could enhance my memory. Not only did it enhance it & made it completely better, it had a very calming effect & made me a lot more patient with extreme situations. I just purchased my 2nd bottle today & I am definitely recommending this memory tincture. It's the best that I've tried & I am thankful that the universe lead me there. Its amazing how my brain now functions & I am even starting to remember things from my childhood vs before, I barely remembered any important events! Take it from me, you'll be glad that you did! I can't wait till try more varieties of tinctures that assist with the body. I give it more than 5 stars but 5 was only what I was allowed to give! Sammie Stiehm: Love having this co-op in the neighborhood. I frequent here so much and love supporting them. Their selection is pretty dang good for being such a small shop, and they have reasonably priced local eggs. The grab and go cooler is so convenient, often have fresh baked goods at the counter, a good bulk selection where I can bring my mason jars in and fill them up, and they always have fresh locally roasted coffee for cheap. Missing the cafe but hoping there’s more and more pop up events!Editing to say I’m not sure why that person below me is so pressed about it costing $120 to join the co-op, it’s literally $20 for the year. Maybe for the lifetime benefits but you don’t have to pay that up front. You don’t have to be a member to shop here either.

The store is immaculate. The clerk helped me find a new item- ginger chews. They had at least 10 different, high- quality options. The prices are very reasonable, too.

I always stop in for their fresh seed bread that they get in from local bakeries. Their veggie section is the most well kept secret in the Milwaukee area.

ChibiAyanechan: Amazing place to shop! Customer service is fantastic, they’re all very friendly. I go there a few times per month, for supplements, CBD, other food items, and coffee. I love the locally obtained coffee they have available. It’s really good! I make use of their coffee grinder, which is super helpful! And don’t get me started on the candy and chocolate options! This place is definitely worth the trip across the city from where I live!

Paul: Van Burren Metro seems a very nice shop with lots of good quality foodstuffs, especially the meat and fruit counters. Polite staff. Very helpful. Quick checkouts never really busy.A bit difficult for new shoppers to navigate around but you’ll get used to it.
