Carmen Garcia Sirera: Amilinda delivers authenticity. There are many restaurants out there claiming culinary uniqueness, but at the end they fall short. Amilinda brings the flavors of Spain and Portugal without creating copycat versions of traditional Iberian Peninsula dishes. All the dishes arw prepared and made to deliver an experience. And thar experience does not end with the amazing dishes. The casual but classy ambience can be experienced from the moment walking in, to sitting in the table or counter for dinner, to the interaction with the wonderful staff. Love coming here not just for special occasions, but anytime we want exceptional food delivered with a wonderful time.
Patricia Gabarra: Delicious as always! I dined in with some friends on Feb 7, 2024. It had been a while, as a don’t live in Milwaukee. Everyone loved their appetizers and enthusiastically shared them - Spanish style. I selected the braised endives and their were delicious and a very light and clever preparation. As much as I love tasty veggies I also like meat. So it was a familiar and comforting choice for me: the pork carcamusa. The serving was generous as usual and the good thing about this dish is that it is just as good if not better as a leftover - YUM. The bartender proposed his Spanish twist on a Mai Tai and it was delicious. Service was friendly and casual and the dining atmosphere can’t be beat if you are looking for charm with a genuine flair of a Mediterranean restaurant. It reminds me of home, Spain, every time. Joseph Henderson: Capital Grill is always one of my favorites. I love the service but for some reason I have been a little disappointed in their food. This round had lobster bisque and salmon with couscous. The lobster bisque was amazing. The salmon and couscous lacked flavor and salt. I know salt is objective but even when added it lacked other flavors. I am providing a great review because service is always top notch.

In fact, we usually take some extra gumbo to-go after dinner to enjoy for lunch the next day!

Amanda Ramirez: My daughter had just got out of the hospital and she was finally able to eat and all she wanted was rodizios. So my daughter, my boyfriend and I went and it was great. The food is excellent the service is excellent and I recommend this place to anyone. I have already recommended it to a few ofy family members that have went and they did not disappoint. Matt Boyce: Don't sleep on Ash in the Iron Horse Hotel. This is very under appreciated restaurant with superior food and a great upscale casual dining environment.Our server was just spectacular and I cannot say enough about her pleasant demeanor and extensive knowledge of the menu. Cel Krause: Located in the Iron Horse hotel the ash has an amazing atmosphere. The open fire is very old fashioned in the best way possible. The menu was well curated and tasted amazing. Service was a tad slow and we spent over 2 hours dining here. I still rate this restaurant highly for a romantic dinner night or high end business gathering. Plan on spending a little extra time here for a relaxing, conversation filled evening!
Isaac Bolton: Went on my birthday and had an exceptional experience! The fat candle was divine, the Brussel sprouts were perfection, the cod was beyond delicious, the elk loin was juicy, and the right texture! I don't even know how to properly explain the nirvana I experienced when I took my first bite of the chefs special wagu filet! That slice of heaven literally melted in my mouth! For desert I had the apple with whipped cream and caramel, the whipped cream was hand made, and the perfect ending to a magical evening in culinary heaven! The server was the best I've had in a long time she was very attentive and did her best to make our experience the best it could be! She deserves a raise!

Our ceremony was outdoors in the courtyard,-it was so beautiful with the string lights, elegant chiavari chairs, and greenery. Perfect for something more intimate. The interior space is gorgeous on its own and doesn't need much added décor. You are welcomed into the space with a rustic bar, cream city brick, and modern lighting. We were originally discouraged about the McDonald's across the street being visible and the traffic noise. Neither were an issue!! The music drowned out any outside noise and the space was so nice you don't even notice the next door business. Trees and all the bushes cover much of North ave. Besides the setting, the services were wonderful. They worked very well with all the vendors to make it all come together. Ray, was our contact and he was so pleasant and we felt assured working with him. Lori, was on site in the evening and attended to all requests. We loved most that they made it all easy. Stephanie: I came here with my boyfriend from out of town. We were seated promptly. We had our pics taken by Nick the friendly Valet gent. Our server was mediocre. We were surprised that bread wasn't a staple and we had an upcharge of 2.00 for the 🥨 pretzel bread when the dinner plates were 40 bucks a person. We went here bc it was rated high and we are both of Hermanic descent. I am second generation half Bavarian and Austrian -Irish, while my sweetie is Swiss Irish. Our server could have been more outgoing. But the food, atmosphere,and the greeter and valet were otherwise top notch. We would recommend this destination resteraunt fir sure when in Milwaukee for sure!Parking: We had the sauerbraten and red cabbage. It is outstanding. Paid meter pking or paid valet plenty of pking.

A: We went here for fish fry. We also had the Shrimp Chowder and truffles.The fish fry: although very delicious, could be seasoned better. I feel like a lot of places don't finish the batter off with salt once it is done frying. That being said, you could actually taste the beer flavoring and it was very light while the fish had big flakes and a beautiful texture. It didn't fall apart when you ate it.The chowder was hands down my favorite thing - it was creamy, salty, comforting, all things you look for in a chowder. It had a lot of shrimp in it! And not the small kind, medium sized. I am coming back just for this! And the mussels!The truffle was melt in your mouth perfect! You initially get hit with a coffee taste and then it just melts. Hands down one of the best truffles I have had.I can't wait to come back!!

Morgan S: Stopped in at Braise last night with a friend for the 3-course dinner! You won’t find better ingredients or a better deal. It is truly a one of a kind dining experience and the food is AMAZING—not to mention generously portioned. From start to finish you get a choice between two delicious appetizers, two main course items, and choice between two desserts. This was my second time to Braise and I look forward to coming back. I had the mushroom risotto and highly recommend it. The waitstaff and bartenders are very friendly and add to the overall experience. Perfect for date night with the hubby, or drinks with your girlfriends!

The waitstaff makes sure we are well taken care of and and is knowledgeable about the food they are serving. They accommodate our many dietary restrictions and the food is always fresh and delicious! Easily the best date night spot in Milwaukee. A must visit.
Liz Fiene: First time having Xiao long bao and I have never had anything like this before! It was my favorite item we tried of the night, would definitely have again if it appeared back on the menu. I love that the ingredients are local and the menu rotates to bring me out of my comfort zone and try new things. Since m still exploring and determining what flavors I like/don’t like, I enjoy that the bartenders can make me something with just some personal input and some questions. I’ve only been here during the winter season but I am looking forward to patio season and I hope they have the patio/rooftop open in addition to their normal seating once summer hits! I just signed up for their tamales cooking class in May and I am looking forward to seeing this side of the restaurant next!
Megan Fiene: I love coming to Braise and eating in the bar area. Their booths and candle lights give a cozy atmosphere and can make a perfect date night. Sit at the bar to enjoy fun conversations and witness Flan and Evan crafting up the amazing cocktails behind the bar. Even if you don’t see a drink on the menu that catches your eyes, they can make anything you are feeling or give them the freedom to surprise you with a “dealers choice” cocktail. Ingrid Davis: I absolutely cannot express how AMAZING Braise Restaurant & Culinary School was for our reception. I cannot say enough wonderful things about this venue. We reserved the upstairs room, including the outdoor space that provided a beautiful view of the city.Becky Ayala, the restaurant manager, was a dream to work with. She was responsive to my emails and detail-oriented, which was so helpful during the reception planning process.The beautifully decorated room dazzled guests the moment they arrived at Braise and established the vibe for the rest of the room’s design. We also loved having the outdoor space, which was perfectly decorated, with floral arrangements placed everywhere. We opted for a family-style dinner. Locally sourced seasonal food inspired the menu of Mixed Green Salad, Lemon Risotto, Montreal Chicken and Soy Braised Beef. The food was delicious and the two wedding cocktails, Crazy Dave’s Old Fashioned and Rhubarb Lemonade were wonderful and flavorful. Our waiter, Kira and David, our bartender, were exceptional and on top of everything. The timing of the dishes was efficiently paced to allow sufficient time in between dishes.Everything was superb, and our guests raved about the venue and the food. I cannot recommend Becky and her team highly enough. You will not regret booking your venue in Braise.
Chrissi Quinn: We had our wedding dinner here and the catering was phenomenal. We booked out the first floor and the split between cocktails in the bar area and dinner in the dining room was a nice little change of setting. The braised beef, pork buns, and chocolate mouse were hits, guests even took leftovers home. The lemon curd wedding cake made by the pastry chefs was great and beautifully but tastefully decorated. I hope we can come back for all our anniversaries.Wheelchair accessibility: My significant other's mom is in an electric wheelchair and it was easy for her to get in and navigate around the first floor.

Oriel61: The sour cream and chive fries are scrumptious. Cheese curds are perfectly crisp. The mozzarella wontons are good I suppose, if you like that sort of thing. I myself prefer breaded mozzarella sticks. The loaded fries are good, but there was something sweet under them that I did not like. Their special sauce is sweet and tangy, not a fan of it.
Pete Walsh: The 4 patty build-yer-own Angus burger with American cheese slices in the middle of each patty was unbelievably amazing. Very juicy with just the perfect amount of grease oozing.It was so good, I ordered another one 20 min later.Kaitlan, our server, did a fantastic job with our party of 4.Milwaukee water was clear and refreshing.We got done eating and went straight to Saz's circle bar and had a few more rounds.Looking forward to another visit to Saz's State House

Rudy Knaflic: It was a after normal dinner time near 8pm on a Friday night and was looking for fish fry. There were many choices in the neighborhood and decided on JJ Fish. Had the 6 wings 6 fish. Was able to get 3 catfish steaks and 3 ocean perch with fries. The place was busy with lots of carry out order, but they had two people in the kitchen cooking and one up front packing and taking orders. Fish was tasty, fresh tasting and hot. Lots of fries if you like fries and only complaint would be wish it came with even a small side of slaw. I think you could purchase it, but it would have made the meal even more with it. Next time. Will be back even though.

Milwaukee Towns Collectibles: This is a 4 1/2 star, I have been craving some catfish and decided to order from this location. Chicken wings seem a little pricey but that everywhere. $2 per wing is pretty wild in eyes, but very delicious to be honest. This was the first time I ordered Catfish & it was Definitely taste buds soothing and I strongly recommend it if you like catfish, for a 3 piece of Catfish I would recommend getting 2 hot sauces.Parking: Height Traffic area

Deanne O: We worked with Betty and Raul of Chef Paz on food and beverages for a Peru-themed wedding shower. They were so kind, attentive and exceeded our expectations. The shower was earlier today and went great! All of our guests loved the Pisco sours, delicious Peruvian food and desserts. Tracy Bessent: This is a hidden Gem in West Allis. The Steak Lomo's is a meal I look forward to every time I visit. Home cooked and so good! I bring family and friends to this restaurant, and Chef Paz's becomes one of their favorites as well. We celebrate all kinds of events there because it is everyone's favorite place to eat. The people are so nice, and typically, you can get a table pretty easily, but you can also call ahead, and they will reserve a table for you. Seriously, I can not say enough good things.
