Milwaukee Montessori School: what do users think?

Mona Reppa: MMS is an excellent school. Both of our children have attended the school since 4th grade and will graduate this year in 8th grade. The teachers are amazing. They give so much of their time, care, and expertise to their students. They really go above and beyond. The administration really cares about the kids and puts in a lot of effort to have a strong learning environment. They select and support teachers who are passionate about teaching, and have created an organization that is innovative and responsive to the changing needs of education. They have stayed ahead of technology trends and develop the academic, social, and emotional skills required to keep up with those trends in the classroom. The community of families is also wonderful. One must just attend an MMS volleyball game to see how this community is so supportive of each other.

Christopher Hahn: Our boys attended Milwaukee Montessori in the school year 2020 to 2021, the school year of Covid. That was their only year due to our move back east to our family. The boys attended third grade and fifth grade respectively. The experience was incredible. The teachers, the curriculum, and the social components all exceeded expectations. There’s no doubt we would’ve stayed at the school had we stayed in the Midwest.

Dania Stachiw-Hietpas: Our daughter started at 18 months and loved it. When she was 4 we moved and decided to give public school a try. We quickly saw a difference, that even our daughter expressed to us. For K5 she went back to MMS and we couldn't be happier!!

Lynn Malec: Fabulous environment where children’s individual and unique academic and social skills can flourish. We joined the MMS in 2020 and are the thrilled to be there!

Tina Mayer: We love Milwaukee Montessori! It’s a great school with wonderful teachers ❤️

Duke Roufus: Milwaukee Montesorri School is the best hands down. The school, staff and community are top notch. The best thing we ever did for our daughter

Carrie Castillo: My husband and I went on numerous tours of daycares and preschools before deciding on MMS for our toddler. We are so happy with our decision. Our son started when he was 18 months, he's learning so much. The staff is welcoming and pleasant.

Nina Tatarowicz: MMS is an outstanding school. We are so grateful to have found it this year to allow our 6 year old daughter to attend in person. Her caring, devoted teachers and staff have been amazing. Our daughter not only has built confidence in her studies, but now finds so much joy in reading and attending school. They are exceptionally organized and responsive in all matters. Thank you MMS!

Clarissa Mankus Ortiz: Our kids attend MMS and are in their toddler program and Children’s House. We have had an incredible experience and absolutely love it there! MMS has a very talented and committed group of teachers and it is truly a special school community! Moving our kids there was the best decision that we made. I would highly recommend their program to other families that are interested in the Montessori method of learning.

cleo alcantara: My daughter transfered to Milwaukee Montessori because her school did not have in person and she went from loving school to hating it.From day one at Milwaukee Montessori she said everyone was welcoming and she looks forward to going to school again. She even eagerly tells me what she worked on and looks forward to studying.

Angela Biscardi: Our family started at MMS this January and the decision to start our daughter back in a toddler program during a global pandemic was not an easy one. But after our multiple visits, and understanding all the COVID protocols we were confident MMS was the right choice for us! We were not wrong, our daughter is thriving in the program, meeting new friends, expanding her vocabulary and has a big smile on her face everyday at drop off! Her teachers are doing an amazing job keeping the line of communication open even though parents are not allowed in classrooms right now. Overall we only have positive feedback regarding our experience with MMS!

Sarah Metzen: We have had children at MMS for almost a decade and our experiences have been overwhelmingly positive! The teachers have all been very open, responsive and supportive. Our children have thrived academically in the Montessori atmosphere, and their art program is out of this world!

Lora Rice: My son has attended MMS since he was 3 years old. Each of his teachers has encouraged his interest and confidence throughout the years. They have been a major part in molding him into the all knowing 13 year old he is today. We are truly grateful for the time and energy his instructors have invested in our son. Thank you!

Susie Leisos: Wonderful school, beautiful classrooms, and excellent teachers. My four and a half year old is reading and her confidence is soaring. I am impressed with their handling of the pandemic. So lucky to have had MMS during this trying year. Lucky to be able to give my child an in person experience while knowing my child is safe.

Harry Balls: The learning structure is pretty good. The teachers are really doing their job. I would like to say that they should put more discipline on those kids because they scream and cry and run in the hall and its just bad. I would totally recommend 36th they give parents free coffee on Fridays

Tyra Madison: I LOVE this school so sad today is the last day I'm going to miss my teachers

Anaiyha Burns: The teachers actually care about you at MCP 38th street everyday they strive to know more about you.

Colleen O'Malley-Campbell: Great school, great teachers, great families!

Zachary Cecil: I am a student at the school I am in fourth grade and in her piweks class he is a good teacher and very firm.It does have one disappointment though some of the kids there are mean and treat each other poorly. Altogether the school is pretty good

Cream City Clay, Inc. Pottery School & Art Studio: what do users think?

Elliott King: Lovely, welcoming instructor led a relaxing class. Accessible projects and everyone ended up producing something nice. Dopplestich!

Samantha Lobo: I've taken three wheel classes over the last 5 months and have greatly improved my throwing! The classes also give you access to studio time to practice. The culture and community within the studio during practice times has helped me grow my skills too. The students, members, and employees are always encouraging and helpful. It's been a lot of fun!

Abby Nicola: Had a great experience with the hand building class. The studio had a wealth of materials and tools to work with. Our instructor Sammy was very knowledgeable and helpful with all skill levels. The class was very well organized. I would definitely come back.

Alex Leutenegger: Colleen is absolutely lovely and the classes are so supportive. I've been here for one class and can see myself coming back again and a again

John Bowers: Great studio for pottery.

Joe Boring: Had a great time doing the couples hand building class. Lots of fun, and really nice people.

Emily Anderson: , was experienced, kind, had an extreme amount of patience, and was really funny. I would definitely do another class here - we all got 2-3 pieces to pick up in a later date!

Bridget H: I recommend a class for anyone whether you are creative, want to get in touch with your creativity or just need to clear your head and get out of the house. I took the raku pottery class which was lots of fun and a great value! The studio is large and well supplied. Everyone is very supportive even if you are a beginner. Colleen really is good with people and makes sure you have a great experience. There was a couples date night wheel throwing pottery class going on and I was surprised at how many men really enjoyed it.There is also pottery available for purchase if you would like to just stop in for a one of a kind gift.

Sharmaine Cheers: It was nice and they were very friendly.

Missie Roeseler: Date night couples pottery night was an excellent Christmas gift from the husband. Our instructor Alanis was kind, courteous, helpful and fun. Could have used an extra 30 minutes for someone never making pottery before. But the experience was fun and addictive! Signing up for classes to make more!

Erica Rodenbeck: I took a wheel class here over the summer, and then signed up for a hand-building class that is currently in session. Both experiences have been great. The teachers and rest of the staff are knowledgeable and approachable. There's a fabulous selection of glazes, and the layout is really relaxing and easy to navigate.I had taken classes at another local studio in the past, but Cream City Clay is way better. There's a nice variety of classes, and the staff encourages novice potters, which was not really the case with the other place.

Karolyn Eide: One of the best ceramic studios I've been to!! Creative and supportive environment

Eunice Grennier: I love Eastbrook Church, it is like walking into the book of Revelations people of every tribe and nation. They teach directly from the Bible, and I have learned so much about God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit. Thank you Eastbrook

Claudine Harper: Love this school ❤️

AJ Riehle: 100% of students at Eastbrook Academy are college bond. Students have heighten expectations here, however, everyone has individualized attention needed to succeed. Small classes make it possible for teachers to truly know all their students and the families. It's a pleasant environment to work and go to school. People say it "feels like home".

Avianna Kelly: I attended EBA from K3-8th grade. The teachers, students, and the environment bring back great memories. I highly recommend this school because your child will be prepared for high school and college!

Rob Ireland: We've had a very positive experience sending our children to Eastbrook. Academics are rigorous but manageable. The kids have developed a love for reading and learning. Teachers have been exceptional.

William Druliner: Eastbrook Academy is a very unique learning community: Christian, rigorous and diverse. As a new teacher this year, I’ve felt completely embraced by the students, parents and colleagues. It really is like a family.

Tina Williams: My daughter has gone here for 6 years and she loves it

Marquette University High School: what do users think?

Lynn Rose Cardenas: The teachers and staff are exemplary! It is the best place for my sons.

Nicholas Zausch: Simply the finest school in MKE.

Charles Jaskolski: Graduating this year in the class of 2016. Loved all four years here, the reviews are correct: Grades are earned and not given here. One of the premier if not the best school in the greater Milwaukee area. Marquette has allowed me to be myself and has offered me programs to participate in that interest me and I can not have asked for a better High school experience. Thank you MUHS

Dave Shapiro: ; they provide a well rounded education in everything from language arts and history to science and math. The school challenges the student rather than just passing them through. Being located in the middle of the city might provide difficulties for athletics however, There are full fields available

Melesa Greene (Moonlite_): What's the name of the sister school.

Joseph Coelho: A Catholic Jesuit secondary school. Gives adequate importance to the arts as well as sports. Celebrates diversity, though the actual diversity is limited. A good place that strives to form "men for others".

Hank DeWeerdt: Currently a student. I love MUHS!!

Bill Naleid: I have four sons who attended and the student/parent experience was exceptional!

Ryan Nogalski: Currently a student and I wasn't sure if I would like it there. But it's a great school.

Ted Chisholm: Phenomenal school. I'm currently a student there and love it; academics are very strong, and are balanced by a wide array of sports and other activities. There's a place for pretty much anyone here - Catholic, non-Catholic, it doesn't really matter - who's interested in a high-quality college prep experience.

Penfield Montessori Academy: what do users think?

Veronica: Both of my children have been here since they were 3 and I simply love the school and environment. No they don’t have transportation but there are many schools that don’t. I love that they have caring passionate teachers and all the teachers know your child not just their teachers. Because they are in class with other ages and learning life skills I can see that my children are more people friendly and compassionate. It’s not about what you have on it’s about helping each other and making positive impacts with each other. My children look forward to going to school and seeing their teachers and friends. Being a parent you have to want to be involved in this atmosphere not just a parent that just sends your kid to school and expect the teachers to do it all. Penfield is a great Montessori school.

V B: Our daughter has been at Penfield Montessori for one school year in 3k. After finishing this year we can confidently reccomend it to our friends in the area. We have enjoyed watching her flourish at Penfield as she learns life skills and acidemics. We have seen huge growth in her emotional behavior, ability to begin and finish a task, writing skills, artistic abilities, counting skills, mental processing, dexterity, and social skills. She is more helpful around the house; she will put away her toys when she is done playing with them, she recognizes letters and numbers. She even has begun reading and writing all at the age of 3! We know she would not have gotten this far without Penfield.Penfield is very flexible with parents work schedules and even helped us make accommodations when my schedule changed. We have been very blessed by the helpful and loving staff. They really know each child and work to develope an educational plan that best matches each child. Having worked in education for the past several years I know a good system and team when I see one. The staff really works as a team with the students and each other, to enhance the students educational experience. At the end of the day I feel like my daughter is safe here and blossoming into an outstanding individual here. I would reccomend this school over any other schools in the area. It is also a great place for students with any kind ofIEP.

Erika Kane: My son has done such a great job his very 1st year here!!! Penfield is very open and honest about the child's learning ability and behavior and they work very closely with parents to track progress of the student. Penfield staff and teachers love my son, I can feel the energy every day when he goes. He is excited to return next yr for K4. I can't wait to see how much more he will learn! Great job Penfield!!!!

Chari Jacobs: I highly recommend Penfield Montessori Academy to all parents! The staff is so hands on, cooperative, delightful and driven! The school as a whole has exceeded all of my expectations! My daughter was nervous, reserved and beyond shy when school started. Each staff member showed my daughter patience, love, attention and kindness. As the school year is reaching an end she has come out her shell and loves her school, friends and teachers. I can’t stress enough that Penfield provides the perfect environment for each child! Choosing this is the best decision I’ve made and I look forward our future!

Krystal Stollenwerk: My son is about to finish his very first year here, and I honestly can't say enough good things about the school and the staff. My son has been completely transformed in all of the best ways! Social skills, basic life skills, academics etc. The staff has really gotten to know our family and it feels like a second home. They go above and beyond to accommodate any need or concern you have. Our son can't wait to go to school and his little sister is eagerly waiting to join him next year. I highly reccommend this school!

Ameetommy Thatcher: This is an amazing school !! This is a school where each student matters as well as their family. The school treats you like family . Our son loves going to school every day.We love the school!!!! If you’re looking for an amazing school for your three-year-old to start start here!! It is a bit of a drive for us but totally worth it!!

H R: Everything is excellent because my son has improved

Kevin Wisniewski: We were excited to be able to enroll our son who has Down, into this new Montesorri school run by the excellent people and staff from Penfield Children's Center. Our son has taken to this style of education and has benefited noticeably after one semester! He loves his teachers, therapists and staff. We could not be more pleased with our decision have him there! Looking forward with great anticipation as they add grades, starting with 1st grade next year, as the children grow!

Michelle Kiekow: The progress my daughter is making at Penfield Montessori is extraordinary. The teachers and staff are wonderful and my 3Ker is thriving as a Montessori student. If you are looking for an authentic Montessori experience that is truly inclusive, look no further.

Beth Wisniewski: Our 4 year old attends Penfield Montessori Academy and we are so happy with having him here. The staff is by far the most caring I've seen at any school; everyone takes ownership to do what they can to make this school a success. Our son is thriving here; he has Down syndrome and receives great therapy, while still being included with his peers in the classroom. If your child has special needs, this is the place to be. If your child excels and is ahead of their peers, this is the place to be. The child is encouraged to learn at their own pace. The Montessori model works so well no matter where your child is academically or socially. Thank you PMA for all you do for son and for our family!

Mike z: This is an amazing school with amazing teachers. My son is in the 3rd grade, and is in very experienced and capable hands. Their school work is very advanced. He's already doing algebra and solving for X at 8 years old. Their constant trips and hands-on learning are amazing and very effective. They expect a lot--as a gifted and talented school should. Being an active parent in the school and helping your child learn is critical. I highly recommend this school!

sharon o: We couldn’t be happier with DMA. Amazing school with wonderful teachers.

T B: Great school that has really helped our son grow and develop over the past 3 years. One cool thing is that he has had the same teacher for the past 3 years and it has allowed us really work together and also gave her an opportunity to truly assess his strengths and weaknesses and ways to improve. The teachers are kind, firm and consistent, but it is very obvious that they really do care and want your child to succeed. Only downside that I can think of is that lunch is not offered nor transportation which can be a little bit of a hassle, but well worth it for the value you are getting from the school. Would and have recommended to others.

Cody: Nice neighborhood school. The kids love it here.

Brad Cramer: Making my daughter a confidant, independent person. Something schools lack today.

Julie Taylor: My Nephew attends DMA and has done very well there. Major renovations and updates are being done to the historic building over the summer. The students and parents will wile barely recognize their school. It's looking great!

As ever, individual teachers matter as much as the institution, and while some of my best teachers have since moved on, several remain, and they're chairing the academic departments, which speaks well of both the institution and and recent instructors. There is a much stronger focus on academics and the arts than sports. I played soccer and my Phys Ed teacher had degrees in nutrition and kinesiology, but the theater program is the biggest draw of the campus. Shorewood doesn't particularly lack in support of sports, but it's not the primary focus.

Redha Ali: This is the best school I have ever visited

Lefty4_ Lil Grizzley: great love it.

Seth Jensen: A fantastic school. The teachers and staff are passionate about their jobs, take a genuine interest in their students, and are always going above and beyond to make sure that everyone who walks through its halls has an exceptional high school experience. A special acknowledgement to Debra Schwinn, John Jacobson, Karen Frink, Kevin Kane, Brian Schulteis, and Troy Thibedeau. In a school full of exceptional teachers, they managed to stand out from the rest in one way or another. Truly a fantastic and unforgettable high school experience.
