Milwaukee Sewing Machine Company: what do users think?

Jane Busse: So sad they are closing. I like to stop in on occassion to see what new machines they have & to buy more thread.

Ericka Lang: as repairing would be more than the value, they were so helpful in looking it over to confirm the problem on the spot. Great service!

Rosalia Mulford: Excellent service and quality sewing notions!

Mary Seramur: I’m going in today with my machine for a tuneup… this business is top shelfThe woman who blamed the store for smashing the old machine from an estate sale with a worn out base is not being realistic… old is old …. Worn out is worn out… she expected that an old machine is going to work like the new machines is not seeing the big pictureEspecially cuz it to her it shouldn’t cost anything to bring it up to speedI see this in my business as it’s rare people respect your skills and experience and expect you to do things for nothingMilwaukee Sewing Machine Shop is great

Susan Collier: They are kind people with a sincere desire to be of service. If they can't provide you with a machine maybe it's not made

Karina zastro: My very old sewing machine broke. So I choose to go to a sewing machine store that has been in business for many years. Great caring people work there. I told them what I had and what I wanted. They have a variety of all kinds of machines there. Judy showed me around and took the time to make sure I was happy with the machine I picked. She gives lessons she is so knowledgeable and talented at sewing and embroidering. The store has lots of sewing needs. From rolling carts to put your machine in and embroidery designs to buy. Definitely go there. You will be so pleased.

Madam Chino: the best!! thank you for the stellar service

Patricia Taylor: I bought my 1 st machine 43 years ago from the Uncle of Don who owns the company now. Great place Great service and I bought 2nd 18+ years old and now going to get my 3rd. 😊😊.

Vera Nowak: Excellent customer service

Tim Schumacher: As a millennial and a guy, with no interest in sewing, I was anxious. But left feeling like I met some new friends.I knew nothing, left knowing a little bit more but being 100% confident in my wife's birthday present.Free classes with machine purchases, support and maintenance through ownership and the women who I met there, are living, breathing, angels. Also my mom told me to go here. Don't disappoint my mom.

Robin D. Coven: Nice staff and helpful

Ken Miller: Very knowledgeable and helpful.

Mary Kubicek: Great customer service. Found a simple sewing in 1989 that served me well! Just upgraded! Very happy with purchase. Looking forward to some free sewing tutorials in person when Covid-19 is more under control!

Eileen Rosenberg: Even on my 20+ year machine the service was friendly , fast and professional not to mention the price which was very fair. I highly recommend.

lman: I recently took my vintage White sewing machine in for a tune up. The machine was my mom’s and is precious - but hadn’t been used in many years. The owner cleaned it and made some minor repairs and now my beautiful old machine sews amazing and purrs like a kitten. Thank you 😊

Barb Coyle: Outstanding care. Good prices.Nice guy!

Andrea Drezdzon: Great job and turnaround time

Christine W.: really knows his stuff. He gave me great advice about my machine and his prices are very reasonable.

Molly Downing: Amazing place. For a very reasonable price my machine was repaired in just the amount of time they told me it would take. I highly recommend them if you’re having issues with your machine or just want to come and get a tune up. 12/10 will be back for future needs.

Marcia Rosynek: Fast friendly service.

Karma Dog: Very nice man.....super speedy repair at a fair price. Glad I found this repair shop!!

K Tesch (PureKT): Friendly owner, excellent fixes on my machines, honest, reasonable.

Ann Hyke: Awesome place fair prices 👍 work done well and timely better prices than Milwaukee sewing machine who were backed up almost six months before they would even look at my machine much less repair it

Tracy Molla: This place is awesome. Reasonably priced and quick service.

Mary Starr: Fast, friendly service. My machine is up and running again. 😊

Lou Hull: I have an old Singer that I had inherited from my aunt many years ago. It had gotten sluggish so I brought it in. What exceptional service! Friendly, professional, and very reasonably priced. The machine runs like new now. I was out of town for a bit and it was no problem to hold on to it until I got back and then the owner carried it out to my car for me. I highly recommend this wonderful business!

Dana: This business is a real gem. Thank you for the great service. You made my mother very happy!

Bigsby's Sewing Center: what do users think?

Scott W: sewing machine. Got great service by the staff, looking at and discussing the different Bernina machines. It's a nice location, but a little small and a bit hard to move around.

Jackie Krueger: Wonderful service! Repaired a small problem I had while I was there! Very accommodating and informative.

Cornelia Beilke: Lovely people and so very helpful to a newby!

Tina Bee: The best source for great sewing machines and knowledgeable information about the use and care of them.

Esther Moore: An amazing quilt shop! Racks displaying high quality quilt fabric throughout the store.Helpful employees, professional, friendly, knowledgeable and cheerful!Well organized, stocking everything you need for your projects, including sewing machines!Samples on display for inspiration.Good parking.Well lit.Clean, easy to find just what you're looking for.Highly recommended, well worth the trip!!

Lisa Remer: Excellent customer service.

Luke Burkholder: I’m not the fabric artist in the family, but I have been in here a few times for some project supplies, and the staff is always helpful. In my opinion their main business seems to be selling sewing machines, and just a few brands, so they won’t have everything you could imagine a “sewing center” might have, but what they do have is pretty good quality.

Ashley Modlinski: Staff and so nice and so helpful. My mom has a very nice but old machine and they keep it in working order. We don't trust anyone else to service the machine.

Christine Canino: Very helpful!

Barbie Poseley: Awesome! Rosemary is so sweet! Loved all her show and tell!

Yehuda “Richard” Goldberg: They've got a great selection of imported fabrics and a really nice Bernina display. Staff knows their stuff!

Carol K: had the fabric I was looking for. Nice helpful people working there.

Yuna Lee: I love here the only place I could get Echino fabric in this area!

Norman G: male questions about the machines they had. There was absolutely no pressure to buy one over another. It's really what you want to do with it and what options each offers. Today, 5/6/24 I finally plugged the machine in to see if it even turned on and to my surprise it seems like it would work fine. I did chuckle a bit as there's a foot pedal to make it work. However, for what I'm thinking of using it for I believe it has more than I need as to options. Tomorrow I have an appointment with my massage therapist and will take the machine with so I can stop in and discuss the value of keeping it. Hopefully a sewing class will start soon and an opening will be available. I look forward to working with the two ladies I met.

Sew Much More: what do users think?

Suzanne Uttech: , I truly appreciate Sew Much More, its friendly and knowledgeable staff, and amazing selection of classes, machines, fabric, notions, and more! I follow the Facebook group and love watching Tuesdays at 2 with Wendy, who always makes me laugh with her joke of the week!

theresa memmel: Have purchased 2 machines from here. Lessons are excellent and service is superior. Lots of threads. Accessories and material. Clubs are fun and informative. Highly recommend.

Theresa Muehlbauer: The first time I walked into Sew Much Much more, I had a 30 year old sewing machine in need of service and not one clue about how to sew. Every employee I've spoken with since that day, whether when I was shopping or taking classes, has been incredibly kind and more than happy to help answer the many, many questions I had. I took their beginner's course this past fall and, in one two-hour session, I made a pillowcase. This may not seem like a big deal to experienced sewers, but I could not have been more thrilled. I've now also taken their Beginner's skill building course and am signing up for one-off project sessions. Thanks to Sew Much More, I can now say that I sew, I enjoy doing it, and feel like I have what will hopefully be a lifelong hobby. I cannot recommend them enough. They truly are a one stop shop for whatever you need!

Christine Day: Was undecided about buying this machine. I decided yes and after 3 days I know I made the right decision. The machine is lighter in weight than my old Bernina 1230. This e475 is lighter but offers all that I could possibly want. Very easy to use and has a multitude of stitches. The day I went to Sew Much More - Waukesha, there was someone to give a demo and answer any questions. Who could ask for more.Take a trip to your Bernina store! You won’t be disappointed!I

Janice Fletcher: Everyone at Sew Much More is friendly and helpful- the employees as well as the shoppers!

Lynn Schulz: Extremely friendly, engaged, knowledgeable, and helpful staff. Best machine service too! Do not hesitate to visit this store for your sewing needs!

Linda Catterson: . Great selection of cotton, fur and even knits! The store also sells buttons you won't find elsewhere.

Pam Uhan: One of the nicest group of people to work with. Very friendly service and helpful when you purchase a machine. Brad does a great job on servicing the machines and has helped me out on more that one jam I've gotten myself into! Kathy has become a friend I can count on when I have any questions regarding embroidery. They have a huge display of thread and notions. With their expansion, this will be a go to place for machines and service. Highly recommend Frank's Sewing Center. Thank you Brad and Kathy for all your help!!!!

Kim Stenz: Sew Much More is an amazing place to find material, notions, thread, batting, classes, sewing machine repair, etc… You come as one person into the store & leave as a family member & add so so many friendships! Best place in town for all your crafting & questions.

Donna Deuster: I have been shopping at Sew Much More for many years. Brad took over the business from his grandfather when it was "Franks Sewing Center". He maintained the same quality and expertise that he learned from his grandfather and has continued to build on it. He strives to have an expert and knowledgeable staff. He has grown and expanded to offer everything you need to Sew and Sew Much More!!! They will educate you with on going classes and offer helpful advice on any project you have questions on. I remember getting step by step instructions on my first machine embroidery project. It turned out beautiful. Their prices are fair and competitive. The selections for everything from fabric to needles to machines and more is outstanding. I could go on and on. This a definitely a place you will fall in love with for a lifetime for all your sewing needs.

Cheri Allen: Great Sewing/ quilt shop in Waukesha, easy to find, lots of sewing machines for sale at every price range and the store calendar is full of great clubs and classes

Kathryn Krenz: Love this store! Lots of fabulous fabrics and many, many other sewing needs, machines, machine accessories and the service machines. Not anything more you could want. And for me, the best part, I don’t have to drive to Milwaukee. It’s in my backyard.

Sarah Carl: Every time I go in, everyone is so nice. The turn around on getting my sewing machine serviced is always fast.

Beth Sallee: Great service. Friendly staff. Love the classes and all the wonderful products available to purchase. You’re in good hands. Customer service absolutely the best

Lin Sebena: Sew Much More is my go to place for all my sewing needs: classes, material , notions, sew machine tune-ups and more! The Staff is friendly, knowledgeable and kind! They answer all my questions - with patience.I've been a SMM customer for over 20 years and am pleased to recommend them!,

Jean M: I purchased a stripology ruler that was on sale and ordered a part for my sewing machine. Very smooth transactions.

Jackie Hillman: Sew Much More is THE place to shop! Such a friendly and helpful staff, excellent machine repair done quickly, and HUGE selection of fabrics and accessories!

Cheryl Glander: My favorite sewing spot! Superior, friendly customer service!

Julie Zaccaria: Great shop with everything for a quilter and sew much more! From machines to clips and pins, this shop has it all!

Seams Sew Perfect: what do users think?

Diane Wyck: . The suit was about 15 years old. It needed the pants shortened, and overall, it was a bit too big on him. The seamstress suggested taking in the suit coat, and the pants for a more modern look as well as hemming the pants. It was done way faster than originally quoted. The suit looked great on my son, especially with the updated look! I was very pleased with their expertise and courteous manner! I highly recommend their services!

Sandra Tisdale: I need address for my granddaughter and I found that it needed a zipper put in so that she could wear it longer. So I took it to seem so perfect and I just picked it up and the proprietor did an excellent job I am very happy with the work that she did. I can do zippers but when it comes to adding something that's already made I am not knowledgeable in this area. I am very happy with the work she did on the dress. I would definitely take and go to her for any alterations that I would have to be done in the future period. I did pay a lot for the zipper to be put in however it was well worth my money and I would go there for other items as well. She does phenomenal work!

juan saavedra: Great quality and prompt service! Prices are a bit on the high side however its a classic "you get what you pay for". I will definitely go back!

Robert Kelly: Lo and behold I came across Seams Sew Perfect at a Harley Rally location last year and they made me a believer! Every time Every patch is 100%

Als Americar: Very prompt service always go there for any leather repair

M.L: Came in kinda last minute for one shirt to get done and the younger woman not sure of her name possibly the owner got me in right away and I was squared away within 10 min would definitely recommend this place 👍🏾👍🏾

Wendy “Sis” Winkler: A little pricey for me but I'm sure it'll be a great job.

Lydia Albrecht: I recently bought a snowsuit that was unfortunately too long in the torso. After calling multiple places and being turned away, I found this shop and I'm so thankful I did! I received it back today and it fits like a glove! The lining looks very good and the outer seams are excellent! It actually took me a while to even find the seam as it blended in so well with the original design. I feel like the amount I paid was well earned for the quality of the work.

Shorty Sadilek: Women there are extremely nice and helpful!!!

Arleen Gordon: Excellent craftsmanship! Replaced my zipper on my Michael Kors jacket and it's better than the original. The service was fast.

Michael David: Excellent work, very professional.

Ronnie Hall: Brought my vest with me to Milwaukee to have patches sewn on during my visit to the Harley museum. Found Seams Sew Perfect online and was glad I did. They did a great job sewing on about seven patches. I called short notice and they said I could bring it in and drop it off. I picked it up the next day as I was leaving town. They did a great job. Thanks Seams Sew Perfect!

Maricela Chavez: Wow, this woman did some major alterations to three of my leather garments. The leather vest she brought in the shoulders cuz they were way extended out and she tightened up the collar as you can see in the photos. The plain leather jacket she chopped off the fly collars and made it colorless as you can see she also extended the sides to fit me perfectly for zipping up.She also is at the moment extending a zip-up old classic leather jacket for me. Last she made these patches and sewed them on within 5 minutes her prices are excellent and worth every penny I am one satisfied customer and will be back again and again. Thank You"LADIES" you do magnificent Craftsman ship work. DO-NOT waste your time going anywhere else.So excited bringing a coupleBrand New Garments in..Some Denim and Leather.Today isMay 7th, 2024Watch for the finally finish...Service:General repairs

St Vincent de Paul Thrift Store: what do users think?

David Meservey: I was able to find a very nice entertainment center. Helpful and friendly staff.

Ronald Umhoefer: Sonia was very helpful and understanding of a person's age. Great prices!

Tammy “Lil' Marzipan” B: Upon entering I was expecting to smell that odor that most thrift stores have, but not this one. All we could smell was freshly popped popcorn.Oh my goodness. We perused the jewelry area and the employees were kind and not hovering waiting for us to steal something. They genuinely were trying to assist when we wanted to view different items. For those who experience this treatment at many stores, you know what I'm talking about. It honestly made our experience more enjoyable to walk around and just have fun finding unique pins and earrings. Plus, I like that you can put your fun finds into a numbered bin and they'll bring it up to the counter, while you shop.Overall, the store is clean, kettle corn is absolutely delicious and the employees were nice.

K Patterson: the trip was delightful, but too crowded for a sunday

Elizabeth H: This is by far my favorite thrift spot in the Milwaukee area. I live on the East Side but drive out here to shop. The store is always clean, organized, and has awesome finds every single time.

Bikes Boats Boots WI: and Waukesha County stores

Yvonne Hoeft: Great store. Nice and clean. I had lost my glasses and they were kind enough to call me when they found them. They have a huge walker and walking cast/boots. Not to mention furniture.. where GW doesn't carry any more

Wendy “Sis” Winkler: Clean. Well organized. Plenty of room.

matthew gleason: Could not recommend more

Nancy Gibson: Jim, the owner, is freindly, helpful and professional. He runs a top notch business. I brought second hand machines in for him to repair for the theater I worked for. Sew and Save always got them up and running for us. In addition, they saved us from disaster during a couple of productions when the machines needed immediate repairs! Jim always gave me the info and had the materials I needed. When I decided to buy a Janome sewing machine. Jim took the time to go through the options and after I bought it, I received free lessons on how to use it!! They always are giving back to our Racine community! I buy from Sew and Save instead of online because I get the service and expertise I need to keep my machines running.

Lynn Christianson: Love this place. Just went back and bought a new machine and more fabric.

Larry Barnett: Bought some gift cards

Ladyblue: Outstanding service performed by phenomenal people.

P Kerk: Very knowledgeable about sewing machines and wonderful people! Everything sewing is available in this store. Terrific place.

Jacque C: Excellent store with a nice selection and great personable staff!

Kris Hagen: My go to shop. 😊

Vincent Candido, Sr.: I've never been helped so well in my entire life! The staff here was amazing! They helped me find everything I was looking for. I told them I bet you don't get many men in here. My Grandma taught me how to sew. So I know a thing or two. I will return here when I need more supplies! 👍

Lynn Mundt: Most of the new people are rude and don't want to help.

Alaina Smith: A friendly place with good prices! The people are amazing and you can find all the sewing supplies you could ever need!

Marja Koob: Great selections in both machines and fabric. Friendly and very helpful people. Jim is amazing with repairing any machine I bring in, takes his time with explaining. It’s a bit of a trip for me to go, but it is so worth it!

Richard Seidemann: Great shop with plenty of knowledgeable staff to help. All very friendly. Have a very large selection of Elna and Janome sewing machines. Plenty of parking.

Lisa Maxon: What a great find. This is a wonderful shop. Everyone was very friendly and Jim was beyond helpful in helping us in our first sewing machine purchase. Thank you

Chow Greanya: Very nicely set up. Lots of great deals and beautiful fabric. Friendly staff. I'll go back even though it is a drive!

Tandy Leather Milwaukee - 135: what do users think?

Wendy B: Took a carving class. Virginia is a wonderful instructor

Jacob Holmes: Virginia has cultivated such a great environment of knowledge and encouragement that alongside her expertise for any project you may want to do, that this is THE one-stop shop for leather related crafts in South Eastern Wisconsin. They don't do repairs, but instead can teach you the means to do it yourself; a real teach a man to fish philosophy. Couldn't be happier with my experience.

Alyssa Hensiak: Needed to create a belt extender, went in knowing next to nothing other than what I researched myself. Service was impeccable. I was walked around the store and shown the tools I would need and recommended materials that would be budget friendly. Staff was friendly and very knowledgeable. I highly recommend going here for your novice or professional leather working needs.

Google User: I am new to leather craft and decided to go here. Virginia was very helpful to a novice, she gave me a lot of info and helped me with my purchase. I was trying to take it all in along with some thoughts I had going in. She already knew everything I would need or consider in the future if I get more into this stuff. I was happy with the visit.

Steven Kofoed: I stopped by to look at different leathers suitable for a picture frame. I also picked up a 3/8" alphabet stamp set. They were very helpful.

Jack Zakzesky: Badass place to buy leather always a nice experience!

L. Horseman: My visit was good. Thanks 😊

Vicki B: Excellent leather, tools& supplies. Excellent customer service. They are a pretty awesome company.

Ryan Furtkamp: If you're in the leather this is the place to go.

Aaron Stoen: Great shoot experience! The young lady with the glow in the dark hair and nails was super friendly and helpful!

Rick RC: Great place for a new Hobby. Great Service, lot's of inventory for different projects. Nice People.

Michael P: A great staff, plenty of products and that leather smell, aaaaahh.

Mike “Log house Mike” P: Every one likes leather. Oo that smell.

Phillip Loe: Very helpful staff! Accessible. Convenient parking. Great selection of merchandise. Did I mention the fantastic staff?!!

Jack Eddinger: Tandy Leather, Do you wanna make cool stuff out of leather? Do you not know what ur doing? do you know what ur doing but want to consult another person who knows what they r doing? This is the place. Jokes aside they have a really nice selection of hides, kits, patterns, hardware, and tools here and the staff are all incredibly kind, helpful, and experienced in the craft. Highly recommend
