Charles Glover: over the last three months of 2018. I was in their program for those who have issues with alcohol and drugs. In no way have I been swayed to give any feedback at all, neither have I spoken to anyone concerning what I am about to write here as, I came across this review board while looking at their page on the internet.I don't really know if they will be able to stand up to the 'Great Review' that I am going to give them... but, here we go!From the day I arrived at their campus broken down and homeless till the very end, three months later, I was treated with dignity and respect. There was always an attentive ear nearby. 24 hours a day, there was a person from their staff ready and willing to listen to my needs and even whims. Of course, they didn't have to entertain what I said but, they always listened. Many times arose where my issues spanned from not having personal hygiene products to needing help with communicating with my family, They really worked hard to figure out what was wrong and what could be an answer for the problem at hand.UCC's program included daily counselling, working out at a gym and even yoga. All of which were very useful to my transformation and growth.Throughout my life, and even though I am vexed by alcoholism, I still hold high standards, and from my point of view UCC's counsellors and therapists were top-notch. Their knowledge and resource base allows me to have notes and information that I will be able to use well into the future.Today, my life is much better, due to knowing that during my darkest hours, there was someone there for me. You guessed it... UCC, United Community Center.

Anne Siegel: Osher rocks! In preparation for teaching a Zoom class to elementary school children in French, I contacted one of the Osher members and received some specialized tools for moving forward with my project. Her 'tips' helped me lead the virtual class with a minimal amount of missteps. I gained a lot of confidence after working individually with Laurie, as well as attending her regular Zoom tutorials for all Osher members. Love the variety of programs, too!
Gwen Benner: Osher at UWM has provided a plethora of stimulating programs for lifelong learners in a community of fellow students who have become colleagues and good friends.
Priscilla Camilli: I have enjoyed many Osher courses. I especially have gained insightsfrom Paula Friedman''s book discussions and Kathy Johnson's film analyses and other courses. I have also been happy to teach classes on art history.Osher makes retirement fulfilling!
Sue Burwell: There is such a wonderful variety of courses offered, and a great way to spend time learning, especially when we can't be together in -person.
Marvin Wiener: The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at UWM is an adult learning extension of UW Milwaukee that has brought learning experiences to many intellectually curious senior citizens in the greater Milwaukee area. It differentiates itself from other adult learning activities by the breadth of topics, the active participation in the organization by over 100 volunteers, the caliber of the presenters, and the continued pursuit of excellence through surveys of members and evaluation of the classes offered. The high caliber of the organization is reflected in its rapid adoption of virtual teaching made necessary by the COVID pandemic. The Institute didn't miss a beat in moving to a virtual platform. It has the technical expertise and member dedication to pull that off almost seamlessly. I'm proud to be a member of an organization that recognize me as an individual and values my input and membership.
Chris Schlosser: The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute is a great way to continue to learn new and interesting things - as well as meet other people. They have done a great job of shifting to all online classes during the pandemic. These classes have been a great way to stay in touch and learn while safer at home.

Julie I: For me, one of the best parts of retiring was finally getting to start attending classes with the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at UWM, otherwise known to the members of our chapter as Osher. I've enjoyed getting together with others for lectures and classes about literature, history, science, and more. Even now, when our meetings are via Zoom, the learning and sharing continues. But I'll admit, I'm looking forward to the day that we can meet, travel, eat, and learn together in person again.

L C S: The Milwaukee Catholic Home is outstanding. You won't find better care. My profession is Rehabilitation. They are the only place I would go to if I need their help again.
Shirley Wallace: Currently here for rehab due to a broken foot. All staff met me with helpful positive cheerful attitudes. The staff does there very best under trying circumstances to promote health and healing. The staff members and administrators are readily adaptable under pressure, they're also kind and focused on promoting comfort and healing. The therapy department kindly pushes you in the direction of healing even when circumstances are difficult.
Joseph Cardinale: My grandma went to the rehab unit at Milwaukee Catholic Home after a serious cardiac problem. All the staff and therapists were great and contributed to her full recovery. She especially enjoyed the food and going to some of the music programs. Thank you for making her stay comfortable and encouraging her to get stronger.
Aaron Cotter: , and the residents are very well cared for. They will even sit with residents just to talk and keep them company. The food is incredible with actual chefs cooking their food a even willing to cook off menu items to please the people. Elderly care is especially important in todays society and they nail it. Well done.

Pam Smith: . After hearing all the horrible things and reading what others had been through I began to worry about what I was facing. After a 30 minute hold I was connected to Megan who was like a breath of fresh air. She was not only friendly, professional and efficient but had everything completely set up within 10 minutes. To say that I was impressed is putting it lightly. Milwaukee County is very fortunate to have an employee with a caliber and efficiency like this. I would say that she is definitely a keeper.

susan kruszka: Clement manor is the best place for care! Mom has lived at clement manor assisted living for 61/2 years and she is 92 years old. All the staff are wonderful and caring - always watching out for her well being. All the activities keep her active physically and mentally. Mom is thriving at Clement Manor- It Is Her Home!!
Sheryl Cerniglia: I toured about 5 or 6 facilities in the area and Clement Manor came out on top. It was recommended by a friend whose mom was there. My mom is in assisted living. She has alzheimers and just needs minimal assistance so far. Staff is WONDERFUL very caring. They have great activity staff which my mom looks forward to all the activities. She enjoys the food...wide variety. Rooms are very spacious with great storage. Its a faith based facility but does not push any particular religion onto residents. I'm a retired RN so I was picky about where my mom went....they answered all my questions and always work WITH me on any issues that occur with my mom. Go on a tour...you will be very pleased...and it's one of the best cost wise.
Judy Mieding: I have been attending the Center for Enrichment for two years after moving into the area. Besides the terrific learning opportunities and knowledgeable instructors, I can compare the system to a similar format I used to attend. The CFE is much more of a community. You can come and go or stay and have lunch - interact with fellow learners. New classes are being added all the time, in addition to the large and eclectic catalogue choices. I've never left without knowing I will be returning!

George Moe: What I like about Clement Manor Independent Living is it is truly independent. If you want to socialize there are many activities and events you may attend. It is your choice! There is a monthly calendar distributed which lists daily activities. All the residents and staff are very helpful and friendly!From a man’s perspective, I want to share that I appreciate that Clement Manor’s maintenance staff will fix or repair any appliance that they furnish with the apartment. There are air conditioners in every room. Trash and utility rooms are on every floor for rubbish and recyclables. Free WI-FI is available to everyone throughout the campus as well as free satellite senior TV featuring over 77 channels. All parts of the building and parking garage can be accessed without going outside. I truly like living here!
Dawn Olsen: I have been at Clement Manor for over eight years. I came from Bayfield, WI after my husband died. I was there to take care of him, but my kids are in Milwaukee, Chicago and Maryland. I left our beautiful house on our apple orchard on the shores of Lake Superior and moved to a very comfortable apartment here. I appreciate the privacy I have if I choose to hunker down in the evening; no one pressures me to go to the many events offered. When I was told of classes offered, I was sure I was perfectly fine with my MA in English Literature and didn’t need more classes. Then the catalog came and it was filled with classes that interested me: jazz appreciation, many history classes, surveys of our geographical area and on and on. As far as I know, only Clement Manor has an Enrichment Center with a year round feature of offerings for almost any interest.When I first looked at Clement Manor, I was shepherded by Kim who said she had been here for more than 10 years. I thought if they could keep such a fabulous person for so long it must be a healthy place. And that is the case: staff stays for ages, sometimes moving in their positions, and their attitudes are consistently positive toward the residents. From Maintenance to the COO, I have never been disappointed in a response to any request.Residents are also a delight. I joke that I think Kim makes sure she gives us mentally healthy people as our new neighbors!
Audrey Peterson: Ten and a half years after making the move to Clement Manor, I am still here. This is my home, and this is my extended family. There is nowhere else I would rather be at this time of my life.I am surrounded by beautiful neighbors who care for each other. There are no strangers here. “New-comers” are immediately welcomed into the family. A competent, dedicated staff, sincerely value their daily commitments to this ministry which is entering it’s 40th year of service. Everything I need is here. The Chapel, the Country Store, health services, daily activity options that would keep the most active person involved, food services and programs sponsored by the Center for Enrichment. Among other things, provisions are also made available by Administration for field trips and services such as food shopping, trips to Dr. appointments, annual flu/Covid inoculations, absentee voting and when needed, re-habilitation services following hospitalizations.For me, as an active 88+year old retiree, it is truly a perfect match and I thank God every day for the gentle persuasion/direction over the years that led me to Clement Manor. I know I can happily live out the rest of my life midst this beautiful loving and caring FAMILY!!Audrey Peterson
Vin Stephenson: I just finished a two-week long volunteer stint at Clement Manor, and it was nothing short of amazing. The staff was incredibly welcoming and helpful and deeply cared for the residents. The facility was clean, the food in the Rainbow Room was delicious, and there was plenty of events and activities to do around the facility for independent living, assisted living, and Clare Suites. The center for enrichment was especially impressive, with plenty of presentations, conversations, and activities for residents and outside members to enjoy. I loved being able to spend time working with the residents, and I will be coming back to visit soon! Thank you Clement Manor staff and residents for making my time there fantastic!
