ELS Language Centers - Milwaukee: what do users think?

Erika Ibañez: I'm so happy for my choice to selected ELS Milwaukee to study, all the teachers and the people are amazing, friendly and happy, I love the vibes in the school and the ambient. I only want to say Thank you for be amazing with all us.

Santos Quispe: It is an incredible experience, as they help you achieve your goals. I recommend ELS since you find yourself in an environment where learning takes place in a didactic way and the teachers are always willing to help. In the end you will achieve incredible progress in a short time. Thank you very much ELS for everything you have provided.

Abdulelah: Personally, I benefited a lot from the institute in developing the language and obtaining university admission. The director of the institute, Allegra, and Professor Denise, are very understanding and care about each student personally. The institute is located on the campus of Marquette University, which is ranked 84th in the United States of America.

Lina María: Thank you very much to all the teachers. I was only there for two months but I learned a lot. They made me feel at home 🇨🇴 The city has many interesting places and the lake is wonderful.

nan hu: I am so happy that I can meet very friendly people in this lovely place.

Saleh Algurad: It's impossible to forget you guys. You have made my future and changed my life for the better. I really appreciate everything you have done for me.💙🌹

Milwaukee Area Technical College Downtown Milwaukee Campus: what do users think?

Felicia Wilkins: Very helpful in finding resources

Marvin Pineda: This college expects the best out of you when nNo other reality can accept the worst of you. And I mean this when you find yourself the core curriculums you find yourself to work, you will find the workplace safety becomes pinned between a ladder of a few to honors received by none lest it becomes a receptionist to a catering service. – If you’re looking to be a plumber, here’s where to start, because if I was arguing carpentry over metallurgy in such a calm weathered hallway, you’d be screaming acts of God till the trickle point landed on your face with your belly bestowing all the previous laughter you thought you could manage by yourself. You see, I’d be sitting with the Dean, the Staff of Administration, and an S1185 form wondering whether or not to let a blind man walk out with his cane before I found out who ruined my Mother’s marriage and career progression to her children without blood on my knuckles following WI ST. 118.35, and an Honorable Admission of Servitude seeing as my own efforts will linger the halls into a transferable credit of Guiness World Record Readership to a statement that will leave you to question what the Commissioner is going to say about it. – After all, when school is close by, I’m just looking to form my retirement.Want to challenge that signature? Or leave it in chalk? Lifeless? There’s a little more to me than you knew, and a whole much more I circled around when deciding a chance would be glory.-

Abster Asgard: the field you want to be in. This is one of the best places to go.They have an active news station here that lends out thier studio to MATC and if you take that degree you end will work with people who are actively in the feild. They get you hands on with equipment within the 1st 2 weeks consistently and are very accommodating for accessibility. Half these reviews are reviewing the school as a whole... and you should not go here for a school name you should go here for hands on experience. I will say the school body is unhelpful and if you really want help go through you teachers and program heads.

T3LLA: Great school if you’re ready to buckle down and focus! Universities can have a lot going on and be really distracting, but this school has a balance. There’s definitely fun activities every now and then but when it comes to the academics, they will not leave you hanging either. The classroom sizes are reasonable, giving you the chance to have all of your questions heard and answered.

Alexander Salas: My experience in MATC IT Computer Support Specialist program is limited but good so far. I chose to pursue this degree because it lines up well with my current work experience and career goals. So far, I have been able to take all my classes online with no scheduled class times, so I can complete assignments at my own pace without interfering with my work schedule. Another thing this program does well, is that it offers options to achieve many different certifications on your way to a degree. They also work with businesses to help their student get jobs after graduating. I would recommend this program to someone looking to get into IT Support as a career.

Britanni Hildenbrand: I am in my sixth week taking online courses at MATC. I have chosen the IT Support Associate Degree program, for two reasons: One the program is only two years, I’ll be able to launch into the job market faster, and because IT is such a diverse, and fast growing career path, I know I will find a fit into the IT world upon graduation. I chose MATC because MATC is convenient and conventional. I can take classes online, at my own pace, and be on campus for the classes I need more focus and dedication to. This IT program combined with my 10 plus years customer service experience, I know I will be able to reach any career goal I set. Now, while my interest in computers and knack for problem solving I know this career path will be suitable for me, however, to any prospective student looking for a quick money type of career, this program is not for you. This program consists of lots of physical and mental work, also taking consideration of the customers you are serving. If a prospective student welcomes challenges and is comfortable with asking questions and not feeling intimidated by the mass amount of information you will retain then this is a program for you. Prospective students should also be aware that they don’t have to work or figure stuff out alone, one of my favorite accommodations is having access to tutoring, whether online or in person- at all campuses. Fellow future students should also know that acquiring their degree at MATC is a smart money move, students can save thousands of dollars getting their education here, as opposed to a four year college/university. Future students should also know that credits will transfer to a four year college such as MSOE or UWM.

Kipi Guentner: I've worked here for decades after being a student here myself.

MATC IT Computer Support Specialist Program (Oak Creek Campus): what do users think?

Hani Ahmad: Well knowledgeable teachers and staff. I learned a lot from this program and I highly recommend it

khaled Alwadi: wonderful

Alan Ingram: As a techie it was only natural that I fall into IT as a career field. I am very glad I chose MATC to help with that goal. The hands on practice, small class size were high on the list - so was the cost. MATC also had something no other school could offer, the vast array of how I could complete my education. As a full time working family man, spending as little time on campus as possible was of utmost importance. But when I need to report to campus, the wide open parking lots at south campus assure me that i wont be circling the block for 30 minutes or comparing parking rates among several parking structures.

Melanie Sedlar: I like IT because it's always changing and growing. I need that type of challenge in my life and in my career. For me, this program was the best option that both fit my work life balance as well as my pocket book. I feel good about participating in a program that I can afford. I chose MATC because I liked the idea of going to college but did not want to take out expensive loans or commit to a rigorous class schedule. I needed something flexible and MATC felt like a good fit. This program has already helped me in so many ways. I love that I am able to learn at my own pace. So far that has been the most valuable thing about this program. I also like the instructors from this school. They are helpful, friendly, considerate and responsive.

Gabriel Yang: I attend MATC's IT computer support specialist program here and I believe its my preferred campus to go to. The campus is very clean and small and it makes going to this campus a lot easier and accessible than going to the downtown campus. I find getting parking in this area is a lot easier than downtown and since the classes are so small, you can really get closer to the students there and the staff/teachers.

Ryan Fields: I am having a good time learning about all things related to the It world, however, I would recommend only doing in-person classes if possible, as it can be hard to effectively learn the required job skills in a online-only environment.

Beth Rubanka: 2Macs, over 50 PCs, 2 quiet study booths with new laptops available for student use. Very friendly staff.

Layla Almosawi: Helpful 👌👌👌

Brian Baulsir: Wonderful

Jeremy Konetz: I choose the IT computer support program at matc because I feel that the pathways to an associates degree are much more comprehensive and a tiered in such a way where a student can gradually build up the knowledge in IT computer support without being overwhelmed or under cutted in any way. I like IT technology because like the old say goes the whole world runs on IT technology it makes the world go around. The course here at MATC for IT computer support will help with getting the required skills for a job in th IT computer support profession, but also allow me to develop a strong base for take the various certifications including the comptia certification tests. I would tell a prospective student that this program does an excellent job of preparing you for the real world of IT computer support work & taking the required computer support certification tests like the comptia tests from amongst others. Note the south campus is very ergonomically friendly and easy to navigate. It is very easy to navigate the campus.

Jordan Schlax: This program is a great way to get into the IT field. The classes cover everything from basic computer skills to advance understanding concepts. I would recommend this program for someone who is also stretched for time as classes can be done online as well as in person.

S Weddle: Nice facility

Edwina Granados: I am taking courses in Cyber Security at MATC. While in the IT programs at MATC I have also taken many computer support specialist courses. I am taking these courses so I can self support in my role with my employer. This has increased my productivity and made me a more valuable employee. I like the hands on practice within the courses. I can immediately apply these skills in my current work role. I love that you can take these courses on-line.

Sara Mapes: Wonderful school, great professors!

Angela Czerwonka: I Chose MATC IT Support Specialist, because it was cost effective for me. IT Support Helps others with Issues with computers and networking all campus's have new technology so that helps you with hands on activities . So what companies are working with in real life. So its up to date, so you will have experience. You get certificates on your way to your degree so that's more you can put on your resume. Companies like to see this so they will start you off at a higher pay because you have more experience. All the instructors are informative on any questions you have. Staff at all campus's are friendly.

UWM School of Continuing Education: what do users think?

Anne Siegel: Osher rocks! In preparation for teaching a Zoom class to elementary school children in French, I contacted one of the Osher members and received some specialized tools for moving forward with my project. Her 'tips' helped me lead the virtual class with a minimal amount of missteps. I gained a lot of confidence after working individually with Laurie, as well as attending her regular Zoom tutorials for all Osher members. Love the variety of programs, too!

Gwen Benner: Osher at UWM has provided a plethora of stimulating programs for lifelong learners in a community of fellow students who have become colleagues and good friends.

Priscilla Camilli: I have enjoyed many Osher courses. I especially have gained insightsfrom Paula Friedman''s book discussions and Kathy Johnson's film analyses and other courses. I have also been happy to teach classes on art history.Osher makes retirement fulfilling!

Sue Burwell: There is such a wonderful variety of courses offered, and a great way to spend time learning, especially when we can't be together in -person.

Marvin Wiener: The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at UWM is an adult learning extension of UW Milwaukee that has brought learning experiences to many intellectually curious senior citizens in the greater Milwaukee area. It differentiates itself from other adult learning activities by the breadth of topics, the active participation in the organization by over 100 volunteers, the caliber of the presenters, and the continued pursuit of excellence through surveys of members and evaluation of the classes offered. The high caliber of the organization is reflected in its rapid adoption of virtual teaching made necessary by the COVID pandemic. The Institute didn't miss a beat in moving to a virtual platform. It has the technical expertise and member dedication to pull that off almost seamlessly. I'm proud to be a member of an organization that recognize me as an individual and values my input and membership.

Chris Schlosser: The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute is a great way to continue to learn new and interesting things - as well as meet other people. They have done a great job of shifting to all online classes during the pandemic. These classes have been a great way to stay in touch and learn while safer at home.

Cindy Harvey: OSHER Classes have kept me sane during the pandemic!Always something to look forward to. Thank you!

Julie I: For me, one of the best parts of retiring was finally getting to start attending classes with the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at UWM, otherwise known to the members of our chapter as Osher. I've enjoyed getting together with others for lectures and classes about literature, history, science, and more. Even now, when our meetings are via Zoom, the learning and sharing continues. But I'll admit, I'm looking forward to the day that we can meet, travel, eat, and learn together in person again.

Geri Halaska: Osher has been a life saver for me. I've enjoyed the many classes that I signed up for and have met many interesting people and made more friends. Can't wait for things to return to "normal".

Kathy O: Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at UWM is OUSTANDING! It offers classes on History, Literature, Art, and even current events. Zoom classes have been offered since the Pandemic arrived along with many other class options. Osher even offers tech classes to learn how to Zoom with a Tech Support Team to offer personalized assistance. You won't regret your decision to become a member!

Tim Peterson: I have learned so much from this place, nothing else like it in SE Wisconsin!!!

Luther Willems: Great facility and staff to help working adults improve their skills! I've enjoyed the classes I have taken here.

Danielle Fennessy: I completed the dental assistant program at Milwaukee Career College. It is a very hands on, fast paced program, that prepares you for a job in the dental field right after completing the program. The program chair, Mrs. Maria, is very knowledgeable and knows everything you need to know about the dental field. She is a very helpful resource and instructor that is always there to answer any questions you might have about anything and is always there to help you out with things you might not understand. Career Services also a very good resource, they assist you in writing your resume and prepare you for interviews. Milwaukee Career College really sets you up for success upon finishing the program.

Jesse Frith: Can I just point out that half of the people on here that are complaining about the school can't even be bothered to spell correctly... Maybe that shows what kind of student they were. It's an accelerated course system. One day = one to two weeks. Suck it up buttercup or at least read what you got yourself into.

Milwaukee Area Technical College West Allis Campus: what do users think?

Jennifer Adongo: I think that because of its ever-changing nature, technology has always piqued my curiosity. I am immensely satisfied with the ever-changing world of IT, where each day brings new difficulties and opportunities for growth. To remain relevant, one must keep up with the latest innovations. Naturally, I gravitated toward an IT job, lured to the promise of overcoming technological challenges and assisting others in navigating the digital domain.I stumbled upon that among the many alternatives available, the IT Support Specialist Program at MATC's West Allis location in Milwaukee distinguishes it due to its comprehensive curriculum and practical approach. I noticed that this program not only communicates academic knowledge but also supplies invaluable hands-on experience, which is essential in the IT business. The instructors, who are esteemed experts in their fields, strengthen the learning environment by transferring real-world perspectives into the classroom. The decision to enroll in MATC's IT Computer Support program was motivated when I became aware of its exceptional reputation and constant dedication to equipping students for profitable careers in the IT profession. With a long history of generating qualified professionals, MATC's cost was also an important consideration in my decision-making process.I am convinced that the program supplied by MATC will help me achieve my career goals of becoming an IT professional. From both software and hardware diagnostics through networking and cybersecurity, the training covers a wide range of important topics. The inclusion of hands-on labs and possible internships delivers practical experience and gives you a competitive advantage in the employment market. What divides the IT Computer Support degree is its primary focus on practical skills. The projects reflect real-world IT scenarios, allowing for a smooth transition into a professional job. Furthermore, the curriculum includes excellent tools for certification preparation, which is an important component of job progression in the IT field. The pleasant learning environment at MATC's West Allis campus, along with modern facilities, well-equipped labs, and extensive library resources, adds to the educational experience. Furthermore, the school's flexible schedule choices meet the needs of employed individuals, allowing them to continue their education without interruption. With regard to prospective students taking on a similar journey, I advocate the following: fully involve yourself in the educational environment, seek guidance via instructors and peers whenever possible, maintain an insatiable curiosity about emerging technologies, and take advantage of internships in order to gain practical experience. Remember to enjoy the journey, since working in IT can be both tough and rewarding.

Yaqueline De Armas: Hello. I would like to know what the program is like to study English. I appreciate you answering me 🌹 Greetings.

Jessica Cox: I'm at the West Allis Campus studying for ITUSP, usually every other Monday and Thursday. I choose this for more then just to land a job in the field but also to improve on my understanding on computers and to better improve my communication to others. I personally cannot compare since this is the only college I have gone to for this, however I will say the staff here are phenomenal at what they do and help to the best of their abilities. I choose MATC for IT support because it was the closest campus to me and my bf recommended it to me when he was going to MATC for a completely different degree. I feel this is a good degree for those who enjoy problem solving, love for computers and technology and well those who would like to know more about their own devices so they can troubleshoot on their own and save themselves some money in the long run. I do feel it would be good to navigate back to being in the classroom more for technical stuff however since it can be challenging to do from home at times if you need help. Or at least offer both options, but that is more a personal opinion. The campus is otherwise amazing and I would recommend it if you have an interest in IT or any other degree.

Bea Marie: I have two remaining classes solely online, as well. I enjoy attending the West Allis campus because I am close to work. I like that after class I can utilize the computer lab or library to work on class assignments. It is a much quieter environment than the downtown college, which is a huge plus for me. Dr. Martinez is a wonderful professor and makes networking much easier to understand when I attend the in class sessions, allowing me to feel more confident in working in the IT field. If you are interested in IT you should consider reaching out to one of the Pathway Advisors to help you choose which program you would like to pursue

Me: The ladies in the financial aid office are the nicest, most helpful professionals I have ever had to deal with. Thank you for your knowledge and support.

Lady Shug: I attend school there it's nice

Francisco Lopez: The IT industry offers quick employment, opportunities in every sector, multiple career paths, high salaries, and it's easy to enter this industry without a college degree. For eligible students 24 and over. who have been out of college for at least 1 year. Up to 75 credits. MATC's IT Computer Support program teaches how to help businesses set up, configure, administer, troubleshoot and deploy mobile devices, cloud systems, Windows computers and servers, OSX desktops and laptops, IOS and Android Mobile smartphones and tablets. Get clarity on your path, Make sure it is in line with the job offered, Divide goals into short-term and long-term, Explain your plan of action to achieve it, Make sure you are a cultural fit, Do not mention salary, Do not be vague. Communication skills. Computer support specialists must clearly convey information, both orally and in writing, Customer-service skills. Computer support specialists must be patient and sympathetic, Listening skills. Braille, Breaks as Needed, Class Notes, Deaf and Hard of Hearing Accommodations, Laptop in Class for Taking Notes, Preferential Seating.

Brandon Corey: I've always been into fixing and building computers. MATC offers a great program for IT support. I chose MATC because of its proximity to my house, and the great reputation it has for job placement for graduates. This program has been leading me to success in the field by giving me all the resources I need to succeed. I love the use of blackboard for online classes and for submitting work. The tutoring program is expansive and I recommend using it if you need to catch up or need a little help. Overall a great experience so far. The teachers are enthusiastic and helpful. They want to see you succeed and learn.

Luis Olive: Excellent
