Zeb Boos: I wish I could say the experience and the aesthetics were worth but at 15$ a drink with slow service and a very “boujee” attitude about the place, I would rather go to another bar. Additionally, seating yourself can be a hassle during busier times. HOWEVER, the drinks themselves were sensational! The drinks alone get 5 stars. If you want to go get a really good cocktail with your partner as a start to the night, then the money is totally worth it.

Ivan Corona: The architecture on the first floor of this building is absolutely breathtaking, creating a very elegant and refined atmosphere. Once you ascend to the bar, you are greeted by a beautiful view of the city. The addition of live jazz playing throughout the night was amazing. Jessica: I live in the far north suburbs in Illinois and sometimes visit the Harbor House when I'm in the area. I have tried a few different entrees and plan on ordering a different dish each visit.Their Crispy Pork Belly appetizer is delicious. There's a nice, satisfying crunch to the pork belly skin and the meat itself is tender. The Hudson Canyon Sea Scallops entree comes with four perfectly seared sea scallops thoughtfully accompanied with salmon roe, which makes the flavors come together and pop – both literally and metaphorically. I've also had the Rainbow Trout entree, which was very fresh.It's refreshing to see that Harbor House offers two kinds of lobster rolls: Main-Style and Connecticut-Style. I prefer Connecticut-Style, so that's what I ordered at Harbor House. The kitchen is generous with the amount of lobster meat. The toasted Brioche bun is so good you can eat it on its own. I don't think Harbor House uses Maine lobster, but I wish they do because Maine lobster is still hands down by far the best tasting lobster because of it's naturally sweet flavor profile.Customer service at Harbor House is also outstanding. The hostess is always very friendly. Even though we didn't exchange eye contact as I was leaving the restaurant, the hostess wished me a good evening, which led me to turn around and wish her the same.I wasn't sure whether to rate the Harbor House 4 or 5 stars because the food is overly salty. The heavy salt content reacts with the acidity of some of their dishes and made my mouth tingle. That's my only issue with the food at Harbor House, but it doesn't really stop me from visiting again when I'm in the area. 5 stars anyway.

Have been here several times and absolutely LOVE this place. The lamb kafta is the best I’ve had in the Milwaukee area. Moist, tender and bursting with flavor! The Mediterranean salad is ELITE. Morgan S: Stopped in at Braise last night with a friend for the 3-course dinner! You won’t find better ingredients or a better deal. It is truly a one of a kind dining experience and the food is AMAZING—not to mention generously portioned. From start to finish you get a choice between two delicious appetizers, two main course items, and choice between two desserts. This was my second time to Braise and I look forward to coming back. I had the mushroom risotto and highly recommend it. The waitstaff and bartenders are very friendly and add to the overall experience. Perfect for date night with the hubby, or drinks with your girlfriends!

The waitstaff makes sure we are well taken care of and and is knowledgeable about the food they are serving. They accommodate our many dietary restrictions and the food is always fresh and delicious! Easily the best date night spot in Milwaukee. A must visit.
Liz Fiene: First time having Xiao long bao and I have never had anything like this before! It was my favorite item we tried of the night, would definitely have again if it appeared back on the menu. I love that the ingredients are local and the menu rotates to bring me out of my comfort zone and try new things. Since m still exploring and determining what flavors I like/don’t like, I enjoy that the bartenders can make me something with just some personal input and some questions. I’ve only been here during the winter season but I am looking forward to patio season and I hope they have the patio/rooftop open in addition to their normal seating once summer hits! I just signed up for their tamales cooking class in May and I am looking forward to seeing this side of the restaurant next!

Ingrid Davis: I absolutely cannot express how AMAZING Braise Restaurant & Culinary School was for our reception. I cannot say enough wonderful things about this venue. We reserved the upstairs room, including the outdoor space that provided a beautiful view of the city.Becky Ayala, the restaurant manager, was a dream to work with. She was responsive to my emails and detail-oriented, which was so helpful during the reception planning process.The beautifully decorated room dazzled guests the moment they arrived at Braise and established the vibe for the rest of the room’s design. We also loved having the outdoor space, which was perfectly decorated, with floral arrangements placed everywhere. We opted for a family-style dinner. Locally sourced seasonal food inspired the menu of Mixed Green Salad, Lemon Risotto, Montreal Chicken and Soy Braised Beef. The food was delicious and the two wedding cocktails, Crazy Dave’s Old Fashioned and Rhubarb Lemonade were wonderful and flavorful. Our waiter, Kira and David, our bartender, were exceptional and on top of everything. The timing of the dishes was efficiently paced to allow sufficient time in between dishes.Everything was superb, and our guests raved about the venue and the food. I cannot recommend Becky and her team highly enough. You will not regret booking your venue in Braise.

We booked out the first floor and the split between cocktails in the bar area and dinner in the dining room was a nice little change of setting. The braised beef, pork buns, and chocolate mouse were hits, guests even took leftovers home. The lemon curd wedding cake made by the pastry chefs was great and beautifully but tastefully decorated. I hope we can come back for all our anniversaries.Wheelchair accessibility: My significant other's mom is in an electric wheelchair and it was easy for her to get in and navigate around the first floor.

Nell McCaffery: Last night, my date and I had fabulous meal at Gene's Supper Club, aka Barnacle Bud's. What a fun concept. It was cozy with a bit of kitschy holiday flair! The food and cocktails were DELICIOUS! We love the mussels, with a bit of heat, the cheese curds that we're freshly fried in homemade same day batter. My filet with mushroom and garlic herb butter and roasted potatoes and asparagus was cooked perfectly for my tastes, medium rare. I had two cocktails, the cranberry Tom Collins and the Sidecar. The Sidecar was my favorite, but both were tasty! If you can, snag a reservation for this fun pop-up event!

Justine Jade: his was such a beautiful and perfect venue for our wedding day! Ray and Annie were great with their organization and communication to help make our day perfect! They are both so kind and answered all of our questions quickly, no matter how big or small of a question. We were even able to schedule a couple venue walk throughs. The venue is absolutely beautiful! It accommodated our guest count perfectly. It was a colder spring day, but the rooftop area had heaters on so guests could still be outside.

The space is so beautiful and unique which allowed our wedding photos to shine. The groomsmen used the lower level to get ready. We held the ceremony on the main floor. We used the rooftop for a cocktail hour and then returned to the main floor for dinner and dancing, while still having the rooftop available for drinks, conversation and cigars. We also did a sparkler send off on the rooftop. Thank you to Josh, Ray and especially Lori for making this a wonderful event!

Lynn: So much more spacious than it looks from first appearance. I do think they need a larger sign in front of their venue, however. As a seasoned sign salesperson, I can tell you that that is very difficult to read. Anyway. I don't want to give away too many secrets, but the building is three floors all together. Main floor is where the ceremonies are held, and then you go up to the atrium which is open air, for cocktails and hors d'oeuvres. There are different seating areas, some at the front of the building that faces Capitol Dr., and some at the back. The grounds were very pretty in the back part of the atrium, which was also a little more roomy than the front of the atrium. Then the first floor undergoes a makeover and becomes a lovely venue for a wedding reception, with a bar and plenty of space to dance. The food was catered; it was quite good. Staff, whether Caterers or from The Atrium, were all very polite and professional and attentive. There's parking on Capitol, behind the place, some street parking, and then you have to get creative. Even though it was 92 degrees outside, the first floor where most of our time was spent remained very comfortable. I liked being in the area, and there's just more to this place than meets the eye than when you first see it.

Jennifer Fjelsted: Stopped here for lunch and had a great time. The food was excellent and so was the atmosphere. The service really stood out! Our server, Joe, was friendly, attentive, gave us excellent menu recommendations and really elevated our experience. He was also training a new server, Tori, and she was great too! If you’re looking for great food and great service this is the place to go!
Andrew McCauley: We just going into town, and we are looking for somewhere to have a nice drink and a relax. We came across blue bat, and we were very pleasantly surprised. The Bowman was very friendly, knowledgeable about all of the drinks, and also suggested some tasty options. The view from the bar was great, although it was raining and cloudy, we still enjoyed ourselves immensely. If you’re going to come here, make sure you put aside some hours to enjoy the atmosphere and the bar.

John Conrad: Food & Drinks were great! The table was really sticky and the seat seem to be falling apart. I think the inside looks really awesome, but needs some update/fixing.
George W: It's tasty but nothing healthy here really. Guess that's on me for going to a brewery. Even the brussel sprouts were covered in sugar. Still a really nice environment. I would recommend it especially if you're a drunkie.Upping to 5 stars. Went back. Food is great. Management replying to review is nice. Brussel sprouts not coated in sugar this round.
