Nonfiction Natural Wines: what do users think?

Jamie Waters: We have been dying to try this place and finally stopped by to sit on their lovely patio. They have an incredible selection of great wines at a variety of price points. They had a some of our favorite natural wines that we have had a very hard time finding. They are also dog friendly which is a win in my book! We will be back to both shop for bottles to take home and to enjoy a glass on site!

diane diel: What a treat to experience wines treated and processed differently from the rest. Everything about walking in and trying the wines was lovely.

Emily Anderson: . You can buy by the glass or a bottle. They charge a corking fee. They also have some snacks. Its decorated well and the seating options were nice.

Mike: Enjoyed a nice natural sweet vermouth and some comforting focaccia in an airy, inviting space. If these things appeal to you, then check out Nonfiction.

Rob S: Atmosphere: 5/5

Matthew Richards: Charming natural wine bar with an exciting glass list and super friendly, easy going, staff. Thanks for making our unexpected night in Milwaukee a memorable one.

Andrea Bartosh: We found it based on the location on the map, but they could use a sign out front. Inside it's small and intimate. Very small bar that seats about 6 people. There are tables as well, but not a space for parties of more than 4. The atmosphere was very chic, clean, and simple. There were 8 wines to purchase by the glass, and a good size bottle selection to choose from with a $10 corkage fee. We tried a glass each of the red selections - Syrah from Sonoma and a Spanish red. While the wines were good, they were nothing special. We tried the focaccia, which was delicious. Highly recommend this "snack" from the menu. The service was fantastic. We purchased a few bottles to take home and try. Happy to see a selection of wine that is unique and not readily available in grocery stores.

Cooper’s Hawk Winery & Restaurant: what do users think?

Audrey Morgan: The food was delicious!! The waite staff was very friendly.

Madyun Wilson: The restaurant is well-known for its wide selection of wines, and you'll find wine pairing suggestions throughout the menu. Wine is undoubtedly the soul of this establishment, and you're bound to discover the perfect bottle to complement your meal. I recommend beginning with the egg rolls and then exploring the menu to make your evening here even more delightful!

M S: Recently dined at this particular CH location with my husband. This particular CH is located directly next to a Total Wine store within a shopping plaza area. There seems to be some renovations taking place near the entrance door.My husband ordered ‘Ellie’s Chicken Piccata,’ and I had ‘Dana’s Parmesan Crusted Chicken’. We’ve both had these dishes at other CH locations and found them to taste just as good here. The pretzel bread seemed fresher at this location than others we’ve been to. We both drank water and shared a picture of peach Sangria. The sangria was good, but I found it to be more sweeter than my liking. The service was pretty efficient. We did not have reservations. We were seated right away which shocked me because it was a Sunday afternoon.Great amount of free parking space!

Barbara Campbell: Service was impeccable. Dayton was our server. He was very attentive and knowledgeable. I truly appreciated his expertise with explaining the details of some of the dishes I had questions on. Dayton recommended the red wine beef short ribs, and it did not disappoint, it was super tender, moist and flavorful. Rebecca, one of the managers was always seen throughout the busy evening making sure the guests had what they needed and was also very friendly.

Marilyn Boeldt: Amazing selection, helpful friendly staff

Will Cappon: Awesome wine store with good deals as well as wine tastings! Not too many options in Milwaukee for wine, but this is my favorite.

Taylor: Predominantly a wine store, but they do have a liquor selection tucked in the back. Bourbon and whiskey selection was reasonably priced for being such a nice establishment, but I do wish they had more variety. Managed to pick up a nice bottle of scotch for a very good price as it was half off on the bottom shelf.Update: I visited again after a month or so and their liquor selection was bigger and better! Picked up a bottle I had been hunting for a good price.

John Korndoerfer: Staff was friendly snd helpful.

Kari Miller: Superior, knowledgeable staff. I enjoy their emails which tell a lovely story about the featured wine. All price ranges available with some great bargains.

Hans: Best in town! Fantastic selection of EU prime at very reasonable prices.

Stephanie Joppa: Lovely wine store with a very thoughtful collection. All price ranges available. Helpful staff. I really love the wine tastings: excellent bargain and easy way to try some truly outstanding wines for a very reasonable price…and learn something along the way!Absolute gem.

Ryan is very knowledgeable and always recommends something i would like. Rachel is very friendly and a great server. i regularly come for the game night, very fun place to unwind after a busy day!

Melanie Bergemann: Bingo on Wednesdays, Trivia on Thursdays and wine flights daily. I love this place!

DELETED MEDIA: An institution

Debra Warner: I had a private holiday party at Vino Third Ward. What an outstanding choice for a venue. The GM went out of her way to anticipate my requests and even made custom menus. And our bartender was professional and efficient and loved by all. I encourage you to stop in and try them out!

Jennifer Keippel: The space is so cute! Ryan did such an amazing job for our rehearsal dinner, he was so attentive and made it so fun!

Jeremy Miller: Great stop w awesome staff! They have cheese boards for food but are also next to so many great bites and other stops in the city. Stop for a sip or two.

Gabrielle Musacchio: . The cheese board options were plentiful and delicious and filling to pair with the wine and mead.It was extremely accommodating that they served other beverages to one of our group that did not like wine - I know... but they had bourbon and gin! ;

Convenient outdoor flight bar and provided frozen wine packs keep your white wine bottles comfortably cold.

sherry spellman: Great experience, casual setting. Bring snacks. Affordable wine and Great tasting too

Amanda Hanke: Very friendly and helpful staff members. Responsible price for a flight of wine. Beautiful landscaping with pretty flowers near the entrance of the building. Great place to drink very tasty wine with friends. I will definitely be checking out their delicious wines.

Dean Sarnowski: Always have an enjoyable time there..great outdoor scenery, and great wine. The folks at Pieper are terrific!

Dana Dahms: in the region. Make sure to bring snacks because they don’t sell food. They also recommend to bring chairs, however they have so many tables I have never had an issue finding a spot. Perfect place to sit outside on a nice day! They have a large variety of wines - some better than others but most are delicious.

Fred Dietrich: Gorgeous property! The atmosphere was wonderful. There were so many different flavors of wine. Most I've never seen anywhere else

Kathryn Lehman: Pleasant atmosphere, knowledgeable staff, wonderful Wisconsin wines. A great way to spend a rainy afternoon!

Mandie Pendola: A lot of the wine in the sampler was too sweet for me, but the ladies doing the tastings were phenomenal! So kind, funny, and helpful!

Michael Crisman: Awesome place, great selection of wines. Workers here are solid, friendly and kind. Also going on was the Annual Wine 🍷 & Harvest Festival.Great time had!!

Libby Rasp: with three cheeses and some chocolates. The wines were delicious and we were very impressed by the prices - quality was amazing for a bottle of wine under $20. Let me just say, I’m cheap and don’t spend more than that on a bottle of wine because I, like Leslie Knope, cannot taste the difference

Audrey Engle: . Definitely will be going back next time we are all in town!!

Mary Jensen: Bought the summer sippers in a can. A combination of Liebfraumilch and Reisling. There was also the Cherry Blush in a can. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable without being over the top.

Balzac: what do users think?

Suzanne Boyd: Balzac has always felt a little overpriced for what it was, but sometimes worth it if that's just what we were in the mood for. However they are permanently closing soon.

Andrea Bartosh: First time visiting and had a fantastic experience! Extensive wine list, delicious dishes, cozy atmosphere, and great service. The "small plates" were larger than expected. A friend and I shared two small plates plus dessert and we were full. The brussel sprouts were fantastic, and the sauce with the pan seared snapper was so flavorful. The desserts also did not disappoint. The chocolate torte and the seasonal pumpkin cheesecake were both delicious. I will definitely be back for the wine and the food. 5 stars!

Brandon: Dined on a Sunday night at Balzac after recommendations from a couple of friends. The menu is constructed around shareable small plates, though there are some bigger entrees. There is plenty of wine to choose from though we didn't order any.We were seated quickly. It looked like there were only two servers for the dining room so I won't hold service against them on this visit. For as many tables as the servers worked, they stopped by plenty of times and were very pleasant. Depending where you sit, tables can be a bit too small and cluttered for sharing small plates. We did our best to share a couple of plates and also ordered cheeseburgers. We shared Peach Caprese and Sac Mac. Peach Caprese took full advantage of Peach season and kept this side simple and clean. I was a fan. The Sac Mac was well sauced and well balanced. Another win. The burger was delicious and straightforward; not an overwhelming amount of toppings. The french fries tasted exactly like McDonald's fries. Unsure if this is intentional. I would've preferred a thicker, twice fried french fry but their fries were not bad whatsoever.Overall, the prices at Balzac are reasonable and the portions fall in line with those prices. The food is prepared simply; they allow seasonal ingredients to shine. Execution was fine. I wasn't blown away by anything I ate, but nothing I had was bad. Balzac strikes me as a simple, reasonable and consistent local restaurant. I left satisfied and my wallet was happy with me. All wins in my book!

manuel miranda: I was surprised by the place, the very good service and the delicious food and the drinks are special.

Voyager: what do users think?

Philip Gissen: I stopped into the Voyager for a couple of drinks on a balmy Monday night in March. With a modern, European vibe, Voyager was my kind of place. After a couple of vodka cocktails, I wanted to purchase a bottle of wine as I will do what I can to support local businesses. The patrons appeared to know each other, and they weren’t particularly kind to strangers. Of course, my age doesn’t encourage warmth from younger members of the human race. In this country, older people are scorned rather than revered. Maxwell was our bartender, and he was polite, attentive, but not very warm. Although, his warmth was awarded to others at the Voyager bar. I ended up buying a nice Chardonnay to take home. I tipped 20% on everything including the wine, but that didn’t appease Maxwell. I was a stranger in a strange land. However, I liked the Voyager, and I will return with expectations for a good drink and nothing more. The Voyager likes its locals to be between 25 and 38. Although I don’t fit the demographic, this is a cool place for Bay View and particularly K.K.

Tre Nowaczynski: Top tier service at this wine forward gem. Came here after our wedding with a few friends and family for the first time. Can't wait to be back!No food here.

Jess Gibson: Voyager is my favorite place in Milwaukee, hands down. They offer an excellent rotating selection of wines by the glass and an extensive wall of retail bottles. But what really makes it the best are all the people who work there- they know their stuff and are super friendly. Come in with an open mind and try some fun new wines and don’t be scared to ask for a recommendation, they’ve got you!

Kelsey and Caleb Christenson: Happy hour wine selections were delicious! Our bartender Max was personable and wrote down some recommendations of great places for dinner nearby. 10/10 will be returning and bringing our friends! Good music, atmosphere, and we love a bar that has a lot of plants! 🌿

Jill Lackore: We enjoyed this bar. Friendly and open to all people.

Peter Coffin: Service: 5/5

Net: Wow, im still dreaming of the tasty wines. I tried all of the white wine options and 1 orange wine and a few cocktails, the cocktails are strong and delicious. The atmosphere is chill and fun, our bartender was a sweetheart and nice to chat with. We had a blast here and the prices are super reasonable. We can't wait to come back!

Pete Wahlen: Quant wine bar with some outstanding cocktails.

Tanya: . Fairly quiet so nice for a conversation with friends. Only gave four stars as I didn’t find many lower cost options

Tom Neuhaus: Very friendly owners and staff. They have a great selection of wine. Highly recommend a wine tasting.

Erik L (Fish Guru): Nice well outfitted liquor store. Always friendly but whiskey/bourbon prices are a little on the high side.

Matthew Vercant: I've lived around the country and still think fondly of Ray's. Jamy McClain: Honestly all of it was fabulous 😍 the food, the service, the atmosphere... We had Matthew as our server, so kind, humorous, and accommodating. I really felt welcomed and at home. We had the "Happily Ever After" to end the night and OMG. If you have a sweet tooth and LOVE homemade whip cream, this is the boozy dessert beverage for you! The mouth feel is full and luxurious to start and as you make your way down the glass the essence of the beverage kicks in! What a treat! My lover and I live close so we have been looking at Pasta Tree for a while to eat and I'm happy we finally popped in! We can't wait to go back! We already have our next meal picked!

JoJo-The-Butcher: Beautiful place lovely service, will be back for Sunday brunch

The Pasta Tree.

Bryce Jaeger:
