Dave Krenzien: all have special skills that they bring to the table.Not only does Marquette have first class PT's they feature the most modern and progressive technology to aid you in your rehabilitation process.We have placed our faith and trust in the Marquette Neuro Recovery Clinic and we have not been disappointed.The clinic at Marquette is a warm welcoming environment. Aimee who handles the scheduling is very helpful and works with us to make sure that we have a schedule that will work for us.While I don't have a need for Occupational Therapy it is also offered at Marquette and my instincts tell me that Rose and Berrit are at the top of their field as well.We are lucky to have a clinic of this quality so close to home. I am not sure what we would do if we didn't have this option available to us.

Lauren Falk: Anne has been seeing our son for a little over 2.5 years now. As an infant he was not achieving early developmental milestones that are pivotal for his long term development. We were doing PT at another clinic initially and their approach was “just keep putting him on his stomach” despite his adverse response. . . Anne took a neural developmental approach to understanding why he wasn’t able to do that and gave us steps and skills as parents to facilitate our child’s developmental needs. During that time she identified other needs for our son, connected us with the right professionals, advocated for us and our son, to ensure that all of his needs were met. She helps you see the bigger picture of how these things not only effect a child in the short term, but why we strive for the bigger picture of his long term development and success as a child. Anne is not just a PT, she truly is a caregiver, an educator and an advocate. On top of being an amazing PT she’s also a professor, so you know that she is constantly pushing herself to stay abreast of the latest research and treatment techniques to ensure she is pushing the next generation of professionals to do their best for their patients. I can’t recommend her enough!

Danny Yoloski: The best place for a person like me with need for neuro rehabilitation after TBI. After a car accident, I was in coma for 7 monthes. After that , I wasn’t able to move my hands and legs as my muscles were gone. I needed to rebuild my strength. When I first time came to NRC my mom brought me in the wheelchair. I could not walk or even stand on my own securely. Thanks to Kim and her team , month after month I’ve been doing constant progress. It is almost a year and half and I am still under Kim wings. At this moment, I am walking without my mom holding me. I have still a lot problems with balance but mKim is working on it. Because of the pandemic I have been continuing with virtual therapy which is great alternative. I highly recommend NRC. If not for them, I would be still in wheelchair.

Marquette is the only program in the greater Milwaukee area with the equipment required to help your loved one reorient and recover balance to walk again. Jaime Regan: Our daughter has been receiving pediatric PT from Anne Pleva since she was 6 months old. She is now 7 and making incredible gains because of the attentiveness to detail and responsiveness to questions that Anne has always provided. We couldn’t be happier with the NRC and the services they provide. We wouldn’t go anywhere else for therapy! Anne is definitely one of the finest pediatric PTs in the area. From day one they got me on my feet and helped me to walk after I had not walked in over two years. The videos that I shared with everyone who knows me brought tears to their eyes as well as my own while it was happening. Always positive the workers at the MU - NRC are a blessing here on earth. Colton Nieman: It’s extremely evident that the staff at Athletico cares deeply about their clients. They helped me recover from a full achilles rupture. The exercises they prescribed me were very helpful and during our sessions, they kept a close eye on me to ensure I was performing them correctly. They continuously asked how difficult each exercise felt to make sure we weren’t doing too much but also to make sure we were pushing boundaries so I could improve. This made my time with them extremely valuable and I was able to see a lot of progress in a short amount of time. I definitely recommend their services!

Becky at the front desk is very knowledgeable about dealing with insurance and was able to walk me through the process without any hiccups, which greatly reduced my stress since I knew I was in good hands. Matt did a fantastic job of helping me regain movement in my neck and substantially reducing the amount of pain I was in. I was always listened to, treated with respect, and made to feel like I mattered. I was greeted by name every time I came in and the atmosphere is laid back. I will not hesitate to go back for any more issues.

Juliana B: PT herself was awesome! My only qualm is the receptionist was impatient and kind of rude. It ruined the experience as a first time customer. I’ve worked as a chiropractic receptionist in the past so I know what one deals with regularly and this receptionist gave off an entitled attitude. I’ve never been to a PT office before so I asked for insurance to be checked, and the response was essentially that I should do it myself, which I get that can be easier for them, but it’s not easier for me and isn’t that what a business is about? Making the patient feel comfortable and checking on insurance for them? It’s simple really, I did it when I was a receptionist all the time.I still gave 5 stars because the actual physical therapists are doing a great job.

jon pultz: I started developing lingering knee pain that persistently worsened. It got to the point where I thought I wouldn’t be able to do all the activities the enjoyed. I thought I was just getting old and that’s what happens. So, I went in and had the consultation with Dr. Scott. I’m not going to lie, I was a bit skeptical, but was at the point I was willing to try anything. I started noticing the improvement immediately. He was honest and said it would take multiple seasons to fully fix the issue and symptoms could return because of my active lifestyle. It took time, but I continued to see improvement and today I’m moving better than I was prior to when the pain started. I’m going to continue to do my part and stick with exercises Dr. Scott showed me. I’m writing this to say thanks to Dr. Scott and his staff for their expertise and effort. Great work!

Beth D: I hurt my foot 5 years ago when a bottle fell on it. While I never broke any bones, I continued to have swelling and pain for months. The MRI only showed inflammation with no other damage noted. I tried cortisone shots, physical therapy, immobilization with a cast, and acupuncture with no lasting results. I continued to develop swelling and pain with any moderate activity. The podiatrist had no other options to offer so I had resigned myself to just living with it.Then I found Dr. Scott! He took the time to listen and finally diagnosed the real reason for my pain; constriction of nerves and lymph vessels due to scar tissue adhesions. I never imagined that after only 5 sessions with his pressure wave therapy, my foot is back to normal! I am so grateful for his care and to have my mobility back! I would normally name names and let other people know how much they mean to me, but that would take writing down every single name of all of the nursing and cna staff, including, a cleaning staff and cooking as well as all the respiratory therapist. The nurses are patient, the CNAs work incredibly hard, the therapists are all tough but kind, and the administrators have all been great. My wife has improved dramatically since she arrived and will soon be discharged to the next level of rehabilitation. This facility has been wonderful for her recovery. The staff have cheered her on when she reached milestones, they've supported her when she was feeling hopeless, and they've provided excellent care every step of the way. Everyone I've interacted with, from the CEO, who occasionally roams the halls, to the housekeepers are friendly and invested in the outcomes of their patients. As with any facility, there have been frustrations, but overall, I would highly recommend Select.

Nancy Elizabeth: for 41 days. Was transferred on a Friday from a hospital in an unresponsive condition but upon our visit that following Monday, was changed to being alert and aware! That was a huge, unexpected surprise as we were told from our loved one's prior care team that any chance of responsiveness was low. Only progress was made during the entire stay at SS! No setbacks whatsoever.Aside from a few stragglers, overall, all the staff we came into contact with were respectful, attentive, and friendly. Even the CEO made time to introduce himself to me during his visit to another patient, and welcomed me to contact him directly with any requests or concerns. The nurses and CNAs who took care of our loved one were great. They not only made our loved one feel welcomed and important but also made us family members and visitors feel the same. They always asked if our loved one wanted or needed anything and ensured comfort. Our loved one was uplifted by their presence and enjoyed talking with them. The therapists are amazing, especially Aric, the speech therapist. Our loved one really enjoyed working with Aric-- he constantly was giving suggestions and encouragement on how to get better with each session. Annette, the case manager is great also. She is warm and friendly, addressed all concerns and was timely in her responses.The only issues we ran into and complaints we have

Katie Hughes: My mom spent several weeks here. Overall it was a good experience. She progressed quickly thanks to the great PT, OT and Speech therapists. The nursing staff was knowledgeable. The CNA staff took care of her many needs. The doctors were diligent to check on her regularly. They did good to make sure my mom was helped in every way and ready to move to the next facility for her care. I recommend going through the paperwork to verify the accuracy at the time of discharge. There was old information from entering the facility that was still on the paperwork at discharge and we didn't catch it until arriving at the new facility so we had some sorting to do. That was a minor issue though, I realize there is a ton of paperwork that gets written and it wasn't a huge problem, just caused some confusion at the next facility. I still highly recommend Select Specialty Hospital West Allis to anyone needing this level of care. As a visitor I always felt safe and welcomed there. The staff was very kind to me and happy to answer my many questions. The food was tasty and reasonably priced. I was also able to bring in my own food and microwave it in the vending area.

The team here at Select has been good with handling the complications that have popped up the respiratory team is amazing and very caring they helped make a scary situation less scary Joe and Mary are outstanding caregivers.Aric in speech is a very warm and caring person he really takes the time to explain things. Marisa is a fantastic nurse. The only down side is they are under staffed and that can at times effective the level of care but not enough to put anyone in danger just a little in convenient. Overall I am have a good experience here.
