Andy Earle: I was in town for a buddy's birthday party and all 8 of us took a tour of the facility. It was fun and informative. The owner is a super cool guy who knows what he is doing when it comes to distilling.The layout was simplistic and efficient, which was refreshing to see in a successful business. Sometimes they are over-complicated and confusing. This guy took that part out and polished the model up, making money in the process. Go him!As for the spirits, they were delicious. I love a good gin and this delivered. I also got a bottle of their Chai for my wife, as she likes herself some of that!Overall, it was a great outing for a birthday and I would come back in the future if I'm in the area!

Brandon Newman: Absolutely fantastic! After a long day of traveling and an afternoon walking all around Milwaukee, I came to Buckley’s with my parents for dinner. This converted home has been turned into a fancy-casual restaurant with an exquisite atmosphere. I tried the Broccoli starter, which came with a nice miso tahini sauce that provided a unique flavor. The Buckley Burger was one of the best burgers I’ve ever had. The meat itself was so high quality and full of flavor, and the crisp brioche bun and toppings and condiments complimented the burger perfectly. I also had the Lobster pasta and it lives up to how delicious a lobster dish has to be. Absolute class when it came to combining the lemon and tomato flavors with the lobster in a light pasta dish. My Dad also says the salmon dish he had was really good. For dessert, it was hard to choose which of Mrs. Buckley’s items to get. We got the famous carrot cake and the seasonal St. Patrick’s cheesecake. All I know is that Mrs. Buckley doesn’t miss! Both desserts were so delicious and the high quality showed once again. The service was great, too. We were never rushed even with the restaurant being packed. The waitress was very nice, answered questions, and told us a little bit about the Buckley family. On top of everything mentioned, the pricing was very good and the portions were large. Overall, this is a restaurant I trust after my first visit. You can’t go wrong with Buckley’s. 5 STARS!!!!!
Robert Whitehurst: A beautiful restaurant with excellent food. I had to sit at the bar because I did not have reservations. To be fair it was Valentine's weekend.I took an out of town guest for dinner and his initial impression was that it was very "fancy". However, after dinner he confessed that it was one of the best meals he had every eaten. He travels for business and eats in many restaurants. He proclaimed that it is certainly a hidden gem in Milwaukee and would definitely return when he is in town.

I understand owning a local restaurant is not easy but this did make my bill higher than it needed to be since I am still leaving an additional tip for my waitress. Siena: Had a lovely time there on New Year’s Eve. Dinner was delicious! Black truffle ravioli was great. Veal soup wasn’t what we expected but it was okay. Scallops is so far the best of all the restaurants I’ve been to! The filet mignon was overcooked when I cut it open but they quickly had it remade and It was cooked perfectly the second time. We loved both dessert, thought chocolate would be really heavy and dense but it melted in your mouth right away and the flavor and sweetness were just perfect for us. Overall it was a great experience. We stayed for the party and really enjoyed our time there. Will be going back to try their regular menu for sure!

Also don't miss the banana bread for dessert, the perfect way to end the meal!Also tried the mezcalculated risk cocktail and highly recommend. Sad I was driving so I could only have one.Definitely somewhere we will return to again in the future and recommend to anyone

terri c: This was our first time at the Diplomat, and we won’t hesitate to return…. But diners need to be prepared to drop a bit of cash, and possibly leave a bit hungry. Food is fabulous, creative and 5 star all the way…. But portions are small for the price. Example: 1 piece of sourdough bread with butter $8. Mind you, it was one of the best pieces of bread I’ve had in a long time, but may also be the generous amount of butter you can slather on it. The ambience is like a 1960’s living room …. Great decor!Vegetarian options: They have a delicious Rissoto, snd several small vegetarian small plates.
Natalie Frakes: Was visiting Milwaukee for a minute and wanted a nice dinner. This was a beautiful experience! Got to talking with some locals at the bar and Hannah as well. Excellent drinks and food and even better service.Got a couple glasses of wine to pair with the steak I ordered. Delicious and cooked perfectly.Thanks for a nice night after a gig!
Madyun Wilson: Although we only sat at the bar The Diplomat is an amazing hidden treasure. We received 5-star dining service on Brady which is a very energetic neighborhood. Parking was quicker than usual and we were seated immediately. Our waiters and bartenders were exceptional representing this fine establishment. The steak was cooked to perfection the short rib as well. The hash brown fish fry was to die for and the drinks are strong! What more could we ask for, definitely an upscale choice I would consider again!

Scott Sitron DJ: was super cool. I was raving about him and all the drinks were affordable. I needed some premium H20 and he hooked me up even though i know that's annoying. They had pro wrestling on and I bought one of those combs that looks like a knife from the vending machine for $5. I played with it for a couple minutes then my friend hijacked it. His name is Nate if you see him with it tell him to give it back to Scott. I'd like to come back sometime and try more beers. Oh and they had servers giving away free shots if you are into that. I'm not but it was a nice gesture.

Kimberly Knuckles: In Milwaukee for The Blues Fest and what a marvelous time it was. But First we had to put something special on our stomach before the show. Bon Appetit baby!!! We both order the Pesto Salmon and Potatoes, the sides was so plentiful we shared the Sumptuous Wigdor Lobster Mac n cheese and Brussels sprouts, 🔥🔥🔥. We sat in the lounge area enjoying the Piano being played, some really good notes that I knew the song too. It was definitely a nite to Remember. Caleb Krause: We used the valet, walked in, and were greeted quickly by the hostess. The downstairs was full on a Friday night so they seated us upstairs. I preferred this because it was quieter and felt more relaxed. The pepperjack mac and cheese was really good, but came out a bit cold. Steak was cooked properly, but was pretty tough for a filet. Served and runner were both polite and not overly conversational, which I appreciated.
