We are located 25 miles southwest of Milwaukee in a quiet country setting just outside of Mukwonago, WI.

Camp Kettlewood is a private, boutique campground set on 80 acres of old growth forest, shaded nature trails, and protected wetlands located in East Troy, Wisconsin. Campsites are set spaciously apart from one another, so campers can feel like they have their own private corner of the woods. Camp Kettlewood has charming campsites for both the ‘indoorsy’ and ‘outdoorsy’ alike.


Our mission is to take the hassle out of camping and provide you with a comfortable experience at the same time. Our vintage trailers, platforms tents, and antique cabins are all ready for your arrival, so there's no set up or take down. You're able to show up, kick back, and enjoy the sounds of nature from the comfort of your camping unit. Each site is equipped with comfortable beds, gas grills & various cooking equipment, hammocks, string lights, authentic vintage decorations, and bundles of firewood. We also have new bathroom buildings with flush toilets and four open-air rainfall showers.

Although we have some modern amenities, please do keep in mind that at the end of the day, it's still camping. You'll be sharing the woods with local wildlife- like deer, turtles, songbirds, and yes- bugs. You might even get a little dirty. And though there isn't any WiFi, we promise you'll find a better connection while you're here.

Choose from three trailer sites- a shiny 1977 Airstream, a retro 1957 Holly, or a group vintage trailer village! Camp in style and comfort.

Our charming platform tents are equipped with mosquito netting and canvas overlays, Choose from our group 'glampsite' or the more rustic group scout tent sites. Perfect for the outdoorsy and the indoorsy alike!

All of our antique Scout cabins are dated back to at least the 1940s and were originally built on the grounds of another Girl Scout camp near by. We carefully moved 8 of them here this fall and now guests are able to enjoy the cabins on their new forever sites.

All of our cabins are decorated with vintage decor and furniture that we’ve hand picked from flea markets over the years. The antique Scout cabins plus the vintage decor ensures your stay here is a truly special, historical experience.

“...The bathrooms were private and super clean, which us a huge plus since we had smaller kids with us. All tents are very well maintained and bedding was fresh and smelled great, no musky smell. The bedding was also perfect for the chilly nights and we didn't need any extra blankets. The hosts also provide utensils, dishes, bug spray, etc for you which is great in case you forgot anything. We are already looking to book again this season as it was just such a great spot! Camp Kettlewood is perfect for when you like camping, but also need to be comfortable."

Timber Trail contains spacious campsites providing unusual privacy beneath a canopy of maple and beechwood trees. We are geared toward family camping with an emphasis on fun, 120 acres of fun. Our picturesque hiking trails are included as part of the Kettle Moraine Ice Age Trail.

Lake Lenwood's 20 acre, 50 ft. deep spring-fed glacial lake offers the finest in swimming and fishing with walleye, bass, perch, northern, bluegill and crappie to tempt you. Lake Lenwood, close to Milwaukee, with its refreshing clear water, is the areas finest recreation spot. Only electric motors may be used on the lake. No motors of any kind are permitted on Lake Lenwood rental boats. If you are camping here, you may hand launch your own canoe, kayak (age requirements), or a row boat (max 12ft), for a fee of $3.00 a day. Campers are not allowed to bring their own paddle boats, paddle boards or inflatable boats. Boats are not allowed on the lake after dusk or before dawn. Wisconsin fishing license is not required. Catch and release only.

Lake Lenwood also offers itself as a daily recreational spot. If you don't want to camp, you can come and spend the day on the beach. The admission fee includes parking, swimming, sandy beach, slide, pier with diving board, raft, water basketball, grassy and shaded picnic area with tables and grills, complete playground with play system, and the exciting enclosed 20" high spiral slide "The Tower". Separate fishing pier. We also have fishing boats, paddle boats, hydro-bikes, canoes, kayaks, and tubes for you to rent. So pack your picnic lunch and plan to spend the day with us. No inflatable boats, paddle boards or inflatables larger than a single size air mattress.


Daily beach admission open Memorial Day through Labor day. ( Beach is open to campers before Memorial Day and after Labor Day).


Here at "Lenwood" we offer a quiet camping experience. There are trailer and tent sites encircling the lake, some set back and some on the lakeshore. Available are sites with 20, 30 and 50 amp electric, water and sewer hook-ups. Free Wi-Fi (wireless internet) at your site. Also available is cable hook-up for seasonal and long-term campers. A dump station is available. We have clean bathroom facilities with flush toilets and $ showers. Camping fee includes beach, picnic area and hiking area. Available to rent are fishing boats, paddle boats, hydro-bikes, canoes, kayaks and tubes. In our store we have soda, ice cream treats, candy, snacks, ice, firewood and bait. Complete shopping centers are nearby.


Some pets may be allowed on the campground (number & size are limited). They must be of a non-intimidating type (discretion of management), cleaned up after, kept on a max. 6' leash and must not be left unattended. We understand that some dogs will bark if someone comes to your door. Other than that, dogs must be kept from barking. Pets are not allowed with tents. Pet owners agree to remove pet from premises if requested by management. Pets are not allowed in the lake or on beach and picnic area.


No unlicensed battery or gas powered vehicles, scooters, carts, etc. (exception for A.D.A. scooter).


Nearby there is a nice supper club, golf courses, Lake Michigan fishing charters, horseback riding, mini golf, theater, laundromat, kennel service, church services, etc.

West Bend: Pleasant shopping in the restored downtown area, Ice Age hiking trail, River Walk, Washington County Fair Grounds, "Eisenbahn" Rails to Trails: approx. 20 miles of biking and walking. MOWA - Museum of Wisconsin Art.
