Renee Fisher: Wonderful experience working with Splash! I booked a virtual class for a bridal shower. Julia made planning the event very easy and our artist Sarah did a great job teaching the group. Everyone had a wonderful time.
Jennifer Kordik: We absolutely loved this place! It was absolutely ADORABLE! They had it decorated for Valentine's Day up the wazoo cute photo ops everywhere and Valentine's Day themed drinks! Our instructor, Julie, was so sweet and patient with our group. The music was a nice touch as well!We had a great time and we thought the price matched with our experience. However, we found it odd when doing the wood stenciling that we were told to pick out our background/base color without confirming which stencil we wanted to do. Maybe something to think about for future parties!
P S: If you have ever wanted to go to Splash studio, now is the time to go. They have done an incredible job of decorating the entire studio in a Holiday theme. It felt like a winter wonderland!!

Samantha Lobo: I've taken three wheel classes over the last 5 months and have greatly improved my throwing! The classes also give you access to studio time to practice. The culture and community within the studio during practice times has helped me grow my skills too. The students, members, and employees are always encouraging and helpful. It's been a lot of fun!

Colleen really is good with people and makes sure you have a great experience.There was a couples date night wheel throwing pottery class going on and I was surprised at how many men really enjoyed it.There is also pottery available for purchase if you would like to just stop in for a one of a kind gift.

Erica Rodenbeck: I took a wheel class here over the summer, and then signed up for a hand-building class that is currently in session. Both experiences have been great. The teachers and rest of the staff are knowledgeable and approachable. There's a fabulous selection of glazes, and the layout is really relaxing and easy to navigate.I had taken classes at another local studio in the past, but Cream City Clay is way better. There's a nice variety of classes, and the staff encourages novice potters, which was not really the case with the other place.

I wish I could be delivering happier news here, but I need to announce my decision to close at the end of this year. There were many things that worked well, but ultimately, I have not been able to sustain the financial demands along with balancing the many responsibilities of a sole business owner.
Making art is creating a love no one can ever take away from you. The power it holds for connecting us to our mind and spirit is what guided me to see if I could make a community art space like this work. Unfortunately, on my own I haven't been able to wear all of the many hats needed to grow the business in the way I originally envisioned and make enough money doing it.
I've made the painful decision to close down at the end of December.
I aim to continue offering my teaching services in other venues as well as commissioned work as my schedule will allow.
Inherent in the creative process is risk. These two are inextricably linked. Things don't work out sometimes, but no act of creativity is ever wasted.
I've carried a lot of grief over the death of what feels like a living thing, But I have been trying to focus more on the gratitude for having had the chance to try. I'm so deeply grateful for the relationships that have graced my life because of this place. There has been so much love, beauty, learning and connection created in this space by the artists passing through.
Thank you to all the wonderful people who supported the idea by commissioning a painting, taking a class, telling a friend about the space, donating art supplies, or coming in on a Sunday to make something.

Shannon Marusik (Countdowntocampingseason): What an experience in the heart of Milwaukee! Great host, nice, safe setting complete with authentic tacos and real margaritas. They did an excellent job and my group couldn't have been happier with then end result of our board painting and dinner. Excellent value for this experience. A true gem.
Milwaukee Towns Collectibles: 4 & 3/4 stars, food was delicious & love the whole restaurant but always thinking there is room to improve & develop new dishes. First time I have ate @ “RedTaco” kind pricey, but you get what you pay for. Definitely feel like I could keep talking about this place, plenty more to try on the extended menu.
Shira Mizel: This place and the staff are fantastic! I came here as part of a girls trip for my birthday and they were wonderful to work with. We had a private class with Francesca and it was a blast! Most of us had never really painted but somehow we all went home with a great looking painting. The catering from Red Tacos went super smoothly and it was lovely to eat amazing Mexican food while we waited for the canvases to dry. Highly recommend for your next event!

But anyway, if you're looking for more to do than just sit in a bar or watch TV, this is definitely recommended. No experience or skill required. We all had masks on the whole time and felt safe during the two hours. Highly recommend for a fun date night.

The new owners have poured so much time/energy into the space and it really feels like a little community. I had the freedom to come and go as I pleased, ask questions and talk with other artists. Highly recommend.

Stephanie Kuenzli: Very cute idea. Love my citrus candle I made. Cocktails aren't as well planned out as they could've been. You're given drink recipes to follow, but they aren't the easiest to recreate. Overall cute idea... Just a little disorganized.

Heather H: Love this place. Everything from the old building to the people we attend art classes with! The themes each week are fun, and the freedom to create is invaluable!
Christina Dinur: We had our daughter’s 5th birthday party here and it was fabulous. 15 kids ranging from toddler to elementary school age had a blast making cool crafts. The staff was very engaging and attentive. Best of all, all we had to do was show up with birthday cake and literally everything else was taken care of by the staff: plates, cups, decorations, prep and cleanup. I felt the pricing was reasonable given all that’s included and when compared to other Milwaukee bday party venues. Thank you Cloud 9 for a magical party!!

Michelle Swalheim: Cloud 9 has great kids' art classes! My daughter has taken classes here multiple times and has had a great experience every time. Projects are creative and use recycled materials. Classes are also educational and affordable.We hosted my 10 year old daughter's birthday party here and this hands down was the best party venue we have used. You can pick your own project and the selections are tailored to different age groups. All of her friends had fun and the art room is spacious for the group for art and food. I highly recommend it! Kelcey is great with kids and to work with for the pre-planning. Everything was easy.Update: still a promoter of Cloud 9. My daughter has aged out of most of the programs but has volunteered two Summers now to help with classes as an art assistant. Always a positive experience for her. Find Cloud9 at other pop ups too for great gifts.
