Ana Voorhees: Went here twice during crab legs. The ordinary buffet was just the normal buffet options but the crab legs were so good! I now live in Pennsylvania and I miss this buffet. To hear it hasn't been open since 2020 is sad to hear! I was hoping my husband and I would go when we visit family in Wisconsin. Hopefully you decide to reopen!

Eric Curry: Faith was an amazing server filled with great recommendations and friendly banter. I ordered the veggie eggs Benedict with the chive hash browns and I also had most of my friend’s falafel salad and truffle fries.Everything was smashingly delicious and came out piping hot and quickly. As you can see I totally forgot to get a pic before we devoured everything but I promise you it’s so delicious and aesthetically appealing.I had a wonderful first time at the Cafe and I cannot wait to return next time I’m in Milwaukee.

At first glance, this place just looks like a standard hotel restaurant, but don't judge the book by the cover! Check this place out. You will not be disappointed! Gether Mercer: I enjoy going there to have breakfast with my family on Saturday mornings. The waitress Shon is extremely friendly and always has an inviting smile on her face. The food is flavorful and there are many options to choose from. Due to COVID the breakfast menu is limited but the dishes are delicious!! Social distancing is practiced. J Hunt: If you’re looking for a fun hipster place to have breakfast/brunch, then look no further than Toast. The decor is very hipster and because of this, it makes for a great conversation starters. Toast specializes in mimosas, and the food they offer are great compliments to their drinks. I can’t forget about the service, hands down our server Heather. Was the greatest server I have ever met. Her energy and friendliness was incredible and contagious.
N W: we were told a 30 minute wait when we checked in and an hour later I went in to check and they said it was because people were sitting a long time after getting their checks. I’ve been to many restaurants that have a limit of time on a table and my recommendation to this restaurant is to implement something like that since it is obviously very popular and busy. Waiting over an hour for a table is one thing but after being told 30 minutes and waiting 70+ minutes for a table is crazy.

I'm still giving 5 stars I love this place for the nostalgia and the memories of full bellies for all my siblings and I and ma and whoever else was there with us. Scott Summers: Nice place, we were there last Sunday and it was a nice little place that felt welcoming. The food was very good. Good option size, I had no choice but to nap when I got home haha. Our server was very friendly, she did very well answering questions our group has. The young man with the bracelets who brought us our food was very accommodating. I'll be back.
Justin Kasdorf: Years ago, I had a bad experience and decided to try it again a couple of times recently. Both times, I was amazed at the food being served, the customer service experience, the atmosphere, and the entire experience. It's been a completely different encounter, showing me that people and places improve with feedback, so I am honest in my reviews. The staff seemed happy to be working there, and I saw peace in the restaurant, which really lifted my spirit. Everything was delicious, and I could see myself eventually becoming a regular. I want to bring people into this environment so the great establishments in Milwaukee can wow them.

The menu was just a little bit trendy for me but I was able to find something that I liked as did my brother and his wife who both lean more towards the trendy food choices . The service was good , but not what I'd consider to be outstanding although I think they may have been under staffed that day . Atmosphere is fairly eclectic and it's very easy on the eyesand was not too overwhelming . It's a place that I'd probably go back to when looking for a light and not overwhelming meal . I'll be back for more and would suggest that you do the same .

Sonia Ninan: Super kind and fun staff! They had some holiday themed specials when we went and the mimosas were delicious. I would say the price is pretty average for brunch/breakfast too. Truly the only complaint I had was the parking it is just street parking and it took us a while to find but that’s pretty much any dining experience.The outdoor atmosphere seems fun too I can’t wait to come back!

Cyndi Kramer: Very cool setting, cozy and comfortable. Surprisingly, it was not busy at all for Sunday brunch. We were there around 10:00 and there were empty tables in a small space.No real interaction with staff; you order and pay on the table top app. Staff delivered food and were very friendly for the few seconds we saw them.Lots of vegan options, which is nice for brunch. The non-vegan french toast was dry but the bacon was smoky delicious.

Scott Swosinski: We attended the La Merenda pop up Easter brunch at the event space at the old Engine company no.3. The food is always superb. The venue is stunning inside. The service is tops. The menu had breakfast as well as lunch tapas to share. Look for more of these popup kitchen events.

Amy: I was expecting smaller portions when I heard their brunch described as a tapas situation-- but really, everything was very well portioned. The hot chocolate isn't super sweet, so if that's something that will break your heart do not order it.All dishes were superb, perfectly seasoned and apportioned. Patatas bravas perfectly seasoned, the chorizo add-on is a MUST. Shakshuka could have more bread served with it-- there's not enough to really use it to eat the amount of tomato/pepper mixture that you get. The hostess/serving staff didn't seem to be fully attentive, but they weren't impolite and the dish that wasn't brought out didn't appear on the bill so it seemed she just missed the order altogether.

The fried chicken on a house-made biscuit was absolutely delicious, with amazing flavors that I am sure to be dreaming about. Our group had the BELTCH, the Wulfundido, the two egg breakfast, and the pancakes. Everything was absolutely incredible. The coffee was also great, and we had fun watching the barista do his magic -- he was amazing. Wait staff were kind, efficient, and attentive. The price was very reasonable for how amazing the food is! Highly highly recommend this place.

Nina Highee: Awesome food, polite customer service the first couple of times. After that, including today the food wasn't cooked how I requested. Onion rings were soggy and soft, no crisp at all, mozzarella sticks were the same, and under cooked to where water fluids drip out when you bite or break it. This has happened twice..aint no 3rd strike being given. I'm done and over it.

Tiana T.: Went here after running a race last weekend. There weren’t many options near the race site so I looked for options around my hotel. This was only about a ~5 minute walk from my hotel so decided to give it a try. I was greeted immediately and since it wasn’t too busy was able to be sat right around. Within a few minutes the waiter came to check in and gave me some moments to look over the menu. I didn’t have many questions, but tables around me did and he did a really good job of answering them and giving suggestions. I wish I remembered his name, but he was friendly and knowledgeable. I ended up ordering the warriors feast since I wanted a little bit of everything. The food is made to order, but I wasn’t expecting it to come out so quick. I enjoyed my meal and the price I paid was pretty decent too. If I’m ever in the Milwaukee area again and want breakfast, this place will be on my list.

Jisha Hechel: The corned beef hash was absolutely the best I've ever had. I ordered it with hash browns because that's what the waitress recommended and they layer it with spinach on a bed of mustard cream sauce. I got fruit as an added side. I really appreciate the genuine recommendations by the waitress. The restaurant is comfortable and this dish was spectacular.

Staff is friendly for several minutes until they've sized you up, and then it's no-more-smiles-for-you.My breakfast sandwich was actually quite large for $6. The sneering "THIS ISN'T YOURS" when then generically called out "breakfast sandwich for pickup" was a nice touch.

We started with the pretzel bites and cheeseacurds. I LOVE the cheeseacurds, do not skip! For my entree I tried the chicken and french toast. Lots of great flavor and nice presentation. Originally we were sat in a very uncomfortable spot where the table was slanted and our chairs felt off balance. We asked to be moved and they obliged. Our server was nice, did her job. Manager checked in to see how our meal was, felt a little forced but that how table touching goes.
