Story Hill BKC: what do users think?

Bethany Blount: Quick Update: It's still delicious! I had more restraint than below, but I also came hungrier. They have several delightful crêpe options this season. I wish I could afford to try them all!Absolutely delish! We went for a little brunch and ended up splurging on a three course meal. I made the joke when ordering dessert that I would have to be wheeled out of the restaurant. It was all so good though that my willpower abandoned me. I would highly recommend!

Dave Dunn: Last two times I have gone here I have had bad food. Fried chicken livers way over done, and beef shank was dry and tough, variable were under cooked to he point of being raw. And last time I went somehow my bill came out to $168. I had drinks and bought cocktails mix to go, but just seemed like too much after I thought about it. Not sure if I trust restaurant manger, seemed to be playing around with the bill.

Bel: I had a delicious cup of coffee and ordered the following: Mushroom and spinach waffle. Bread pudding waffle with mushroom duxelle, broccolini, salad, feta, truffle oil, poached eggs and smoked shallot marmalade. Looks great....however, my waffle was burned and BLACK on the bottom. Also one egg was hard in the center, not poached. Not inedible, but it could have been an amazing dish if they hadn't plated the burned waffle. The accompanying salad had a very good dressing....love breakfast with some salad on the plate. Great atmosphere and service. I'll be back.

Sabrosa Cafe & Gallery: what do users think?

Scott Summers: Nice place, we were there last Sunday and it was a nice little place that felt welcoming. The food was very good. Good option size, I had no choice but to nap when I got home haha. Our server was very friendly, she did very well answering questions our group has. The young man with the bracelets who brought us our food was very accommodating. I'll be back.

Justin Kasdorf: Years ago, I had a bad experience and decided to try it again a couple of times recently. Both times, I was amazed at the food being served, the customer service experience, the atmosphere, and the entire experience. It's been a completely different encounter, showing me that people and places improve with feedback, so I am honest in my reviews. The staff seemed happy to be working there, and I saw peace in the restaurant, which really lifted my spirit. Everything was delicious, and I could see myself eventually becoming a regular. I want to bring people into this environment so the great establishments in Milwaukee can wow them.

Benjamin There: Had lunch with my brother and his wife , we all enjoyed our food and the atmosphere . The menu was just a little bit trendy for me but I was able to find something that I liked as did my brother and his wife who both lean more towards the trendy food choices . The service was good , but not what I'd consider to be outstanding although I think they may have been under staffed that day . Atmosphere is fairly eclectic and it's very easy on the eyesand was not too overwhelming . It's a place that I'd probably go back to when looking for a light and not overwhelming meal . I'll be back for more and would suggest that you do the same .

Engel’s Daniel’s: It's a good place, food at an affordable price, the atmosphere is relaxing, not scandalous. The menu is varied, it has good options, all the bread is rosemary and delicious. The art on the wall tells a story. I liked.

Carol: I had a pleasant experience here. Every time I eat here, the food NEVER disappoints. Very good quality food, it's worth every dollar. Not only do they have a great selection on their menu, but they also add very tasty dishes. I tried the Hawaiian French toast, a new item on their menu. Highly recommend it! Love the art, there's a comforting feeling as soon as you walk in. Our waiter was hospitable and accommodating.Kid-friendliness: Very nice, clean highchairs.Wheelchair accessibility: Didn't see a ramp, there are stairs. I would confirm with the restaurant about this accommodation. I didn't see a ramp in the back of the restaurant.

Sonia Ninan: Super kind and fun staff! They had some holiday themed specials when we went and the mimosas were delicious. I would say the price is pretty average for brunch/breakfast too. Truly the only complaint I had was the parking it is just street parking and it took us a while to find but that’s pretty much any dining experience. The outdoor atmosphere seems fun too I can’t wait to come back!

Wilma Fonseca: Great customer service , great food and great environment

Engine Company No. 3: what do users think?

Scott Swosinski: We attended the La Merenda pop up Easter brunch at the event space at the old Engine company no.3. The food is always superb. The venue is stunning inside. The service is tops. The menu had breakfast as well as lunch tapas to share. Look for more of these popup kitchen events.

Daniel Smith: The elegant and pristine palace the is the Engine Company Number three is poetic in the way of food. The atmosphere is a certain je ne sais quoi if a may be so bold. Hmmm. Which I may!! If you have yet to go treat yourself, just tell them Dan sent you. It will do nothing for you but it sounds cool to act like you know someone working there.

Matt Pire: Delicious food! Absolutely lovely staff!Recommended dishes …

Amy: I was expecting smaller portions when I heard their brunch described as a tapas situation-- but really, everything was very well portioned. The hot chocolate isn't super sweet, so if that's something that will break your heart do not order it.All dishes were superb, perfectly seasoned and apportioned. Patatas bravas perfectly seasoned, the chorizo add-on is a MUST. Shakshuka could have more bread served with it-- there's not enough to really use it to eat the amount of tomato/pepper mixture that you get. The hostess/serving staff didn't seem to be fully attentive, but they weren't impolite and the dish that wasn't brought out didn't appear on the bill so it seemed she just missed the order altogether.

Natasha Nafrini: My family and I have been coming here for years and love the experience each time.I love their menu selection for breakfast as this is my favorite to eat anytime. The food is always hot, exactly what I ordered and the wait staff is courteous. We have shared this space to share beautiful news with family over good over the years.Love this place!

Both were wonderful.Parking: We parked under the bridge just a bit from the restaurant. We were here in earlyMay so the parking may be more challenging in the summer.

Toast: what do users think?

Nathan R: The brunch wait is so worth it! Never disappointed!Parking: You may have to go a block or two away, but it’s worth it.Kid-friendliness: Plenty of kids options

J Hunt: If you’re looking for a fun hipster place to have breakfast/brunch, then look no further than Toast. The decor is very hipster and because of this, it makes for a great conversation starters. Toast specializes in mimosas, and the food they offer are great compliments to their drinks. I can’t forget about the service, hands down our server Heather. Was the greatest server I have ever met. Her energy and friendliness was incredible and contagious.

N W: we were told a 30 minute wait when we checked in and an hour later I went in to check and they said it was because people were sitting a long time after getting their checks. I’ve been to many restaurants that have a limit of time on a table and my recommendation to this restaurant is to implement something like that since it is obviously very popular and busy. Waiting over an hour for a table is one thing but after being told 30 minutes and waiting 70+ minutes for a table is crazy.

Jazmyne Phelps: food came out fast and everything we ordered was 10/10. the atmosphere was overall really nice! we will be coming here again.

Jasmyne Hauger: . 10/10!!!

Naomi Cartee: Ordered a veggie scramble and goat cheese baby reds via Door dash. Big portion size. Kathryn O'Donnell: The staff was incredibly nice and welcoming, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The fried chicken on a house-made biscuit was absolutely delicious, with amazing flavors that I am sure to be dreaming about. Sitting at the bar and watching the staff enjoy their work only added to the overall experience. The cocktails are crafted and delicious. You won't be disappointed!

Susan Dickinson: We came here at the end of a weekend getaway to MKE and it was the perfect way to end our trip. We could not stop talking about how amazing the food was! Our group had the BELTCH, the Wulfundido, the two egg breakfast, and the pancakes. Everything was absolutely incredible. The coffee was also great, and we had fun watching the barista do his magic -- he was amazing. Wait staff were kind, efficient, and attentive. The price was very reasonable for how amazing the food is! Highly highly recommend this place.

Oriel61: The sour cream and chive fries are scrumptious. Cheese curds are perfectly crisp. The mozzarella wontons are good I suppose, if you like that sort of thing. I myself prefer breaded mozzarella sticks. The loaded fries are good, but there was something sweet under them that I did not like. Their special sauce is sweet and tangy, not a fan of it.

Pete Walsh: The 4 patty build-yer-own Angus burger with American cheese slices in the middle of each patty was unbelievably amazing. Very juicy with just the perfect amount of grease oozing. It was so good, I ordered another one 20 min later.Kaitlan, our server, did a fantastic job with our party of 4.Milwaukee water was clear and refreshing. We got done eating and went straight to Saz's circle bar and had a few more rounds.Looking forward to another visit to Saz's State House

Jennifer Withers: We love this place so much we now regularly drive two hours to eat here. The cake will change your life. Don't skip it. The servings are HUGE, and I've never had a meal I didn't like.Things to know that to me add so much charm:-The menu changes every day, no, you can't see it ahead of time.-It's tiny, cozy, and intimate.-If you want to be seated right when they open, you'll have to join the line outside which usually forms 30-45 minutes before opening. Even in the winter months.-The cake is a homemade family recipe. It's actually perfect.-All the staff are so friendly. We always love seeing our server!Highly, highly recommend.

Crystal Mariza Bucio: that I will be craving for the rest of my life! Although seating is limited, getting in for early dinner was great. Food and service was stellar! Definitely a new favorite spot!

Ben Hornickle: I’m not one to write reviews, but this absolutely blew me away. The service is the best I’ve ever had. Incredible knowledge of the menu. The menu has constantly rotating entrees and they all sounded delicious. They have one chef in a small kitchen and the food he produces makes a mockery of anything I’ve ever been served. The price is amazingly affordable for the quality of service and dining you will receive. Truly a hidden gem of milwaukee and the Midwest. A must visit. We will be back regularly.

Buckley's Restaurant & Bar: what do users think?

Brandon Newman: Absolutely fantastic! After a long day of traveling and an afternoon walking all around Milwaukee, I came to Buckley’s with my parents for dinner. This converted home has been turned into a fancy-casual restaurant with an exquisite atmosphere. I tried the Broccoli starter, which came with a nice miso tahini sauce that provided a unique flavor. The Buckley Burger was one of the best burgers I’ve ever had. The meat itself was so high quality and full of flavor, and the crisp brioche bun and toppings and condiments complimented the burger perfectly. I also had the Lobster pasta and it lives up to how delicious a lobster dish has to be. Absolute class when it came to combining the lemon and tomato flavors with the lobster in a light pasta dish. My Dad also says the salmon dish he had was really good. For dessert, it was hard to choose which of Mrs. Buckley’s items to get. We got the famous carrot cake and the seasonal St. Patrick’s cheesecake. All I know is that Mrs. Buckley doesn’t miss! Both desserts were so delicious and the high quality showed once again. The service was great, too. We were never rushed even with the restaurant being packed. The waitress was very nice, answered questions, and told us a little bit about the Buckley family. On top of everything mentioned, the pricing was very good and the portions were large. Overall, this is a restaurant I trust after my first visit. You can’t go wrong with Buckley’s. 5 STARS!!!!!

Robert Whitehurst: A beautiful restaurant with excellent food. I had to sit at the bar because I did not have reservations. To be fair it was Valentine's weekend.I took an out of town guest for dinner and his initial impression was that it was very "fancy". However, after dinner he confessed that it was one of the best meals he had every eaten. He travels for business and eats in many restaurants. He proclaimed that it is certainly a hidden gem in Milwaukee and would definitely return when he is in town.

Steven: Fried artichokes, cheesecake, and carrot cake were particularly amazing! Great service & ambiance too.Prices very reasonable for this high quality of food.

R Elle: , wine and divine desserts - everything was perfect. Carlie and Taylor “had me at hello” because they were both good listeners trying to understand my goals and needs. Buckley’s is higher end and worth it! Call ahead to get a sense of parking. Just amazing & thank you!

Katie B: in the cooking and baking. I had Mahi Mahi on a bed of pasta and pesto. Delicious. Appetizer special was bread served with a delicious cheese and a cheese spread. Just O.K. All four of us enjoyed our meals. Each dish had multiple tastes that came together beautifully. We will be back. Recommend calling to get direction on parking. We heard

Melissa Mondragon: The building is beautiful! The food was perfection. From the truffle fried artichokes to the seafood risotto and the salmon to the tuxedo cheesecake. The sangria had the most delicious combination of spices. This place is for foodies! You will not be disappointed. Ask for Joe to be your waiter. He's exceptional! 10/10 would recommend this wonderful establishment to everyone!

Mimosa: what do users think?

Sarah Johnstone: . The whole experience was so unexpected in a great way, we honestly stopped because we needed breakfast that was close to our event and what a gem we found. I wish we lived closer to make this place a regular haunt but unfortunately I’ll just have to wait till our travels brings us back in the area, and if and when that happens we will definitely have Mimosa on the top of our list to revisit.

Cherigale: I enjoyed brunch at Mimosa, and it was fantastic! The service was outstanding – friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. The food was delicious, and the prices were reasonable. Highly recommend!Parking: Parking was a bit of a challenge but that speaks volumes about Mimosa's popularity!

Trucking With kingfish (Trucking with kingfish): Went went here on a recommendation from our mechanic, Dave from south milwaukee auto, as usually Dave was as good in his dining tips as he was in keeping our cars up and running, I ordered the chicken chicken chorizo plate with the side of pancakes and I’m glad I did, the interior is well lit and very clean so my me the criteria is will I go back and the answer is yes but best time I’m gonna try one of the egg Benedict plates

Maria Jensen: We stumbled on this place as we were overnighting in the area and were amazed at the quality of the food. The mimosa potatoes with lemon, bacon and feta were incredible. My husband had the blueberry omelette - delicious and very generously proportioned and I had the Greek yogurt with figs and honey. Yum! There were special touches throughout including fresh flowers at each table and retro glasses for our water. Loved it all!

Bruce J: Great place for brunch. Crowded on the weekend but easy to get in on weekdays. Huge menu with usual favorites and gourmet twists. Great ownership with dedication to WI and local producers. Great team that's friendly and inviting.Recommended dishes Chicken and Waffles M …

Nicole Muller: VEGAN OMELETTE, COUNT ME IN! I have not had an omelette at a restaurant in 14 years and today I was on cloud nine after finding out that Mimosa has a completely plant based omelette. Not only did it look the part but was extremely delicious. All my vegan people, do not blink at this option the next time you are looking for breakfast or brunch.

Cyndi Kramer: Very cool setting, cozy and comfortable. Surprisingly, it was not busy at all for Sunday brunch. We were there around 10:00 and there were empty tables in a small space. No real interaction with staff; you order and pay on the table top app. Staff delivered food and were very friendly for the few seconds we saw them.Lots of vegan options, which is nice for brunch. The non-vegan french toast was dry but the bacon was smoky delicious.
