The Explorium Brewpub Third Ward: what do users think?

P. Kahn: . Service was a little slow at first, but got better when the place got busier

Logan Rumbaugh: We've been here a few times, and the food is always pretty good, but I'm pleased to say we've finally had something that we thought was really exceptionally well done, which was the Buffalo Cauliflower Bites. These were really excellent, and I would probably get them instead of wings here in the future. The rest of the meal was good as well, a wide variety of options are available, so I'd say this is a good option for family or business meals where you need something to please different palettes. Conveniently located directly on a HOP Streetcar stop as well.

Fumei Jackson: Such a great spot. Stopped in between a work conference and heading to the Amtrak station. The beers are incredibly unique and they have a great selection. I had a great experience here and the staff members were very friendly. Next time in Milwaukee I look forward to going back. I didn’t try the food but maybe next time! They also had lots of flyers for various events that looked interesting.

Steve S: Beautiful building. Good variety of house made beer. Expansive food menu. Not a cheese curd person but they were delicious. Turkey burger was more than enough to eat at $10. Others at my table liked their burger and chicken sandwich. Minor delay with our food but it was packed and short of staff. They made it right. Every visit the staff has been attentive and friendly. Worth the trip.Next visit my wife and I ate. Excellent service and food. She got a calzone and I had the Rasta Pasta special. Too much to eat. Got three meals out of each.Next visit update...Flatbread is excellent too.March 2024...Blackened Fish on rice was spot-on. Good heat.

Brian George: Great atmosphere, got to chat with one of the brewers. Friendly staff. Good beer. If you like Magic, and Fantasy this is a bar you should have on your list.

Emma Winske: We held our wedding welcome party here and it was perfect! We had about 40 guests and the space was ideal for that size group. We catered in pizzas, and the staff was so helpful in getting everything set up and keeping the food space clean. The two bartenders were WONDERFUL! They were engaged with all of our guests, attentive to anything we needed, and made sure everyone was having a great time. Oh, and the beer was great too!!

Natalie Losik: This place is so much fun!

Lauren George: Great time, good brews, and the owner was kind enough to do a magic show at the bar for us ✨️🍻

David Sachs: Great beer, great atmosphere, and AMAZING magic.

Kimberly Massengale (BlackWidow6913): We came here solely because we had met the owner before! The great Ivanovich! Would highly recommend coming in and grabbing a beer and enjoying the magic when he is here.

ben brockman: Top notch brewing! The vibe is very relaxing and everyone is friendly. Check it out if you haven’t yet!

The Borg Cooking Show: I'm here for the marble racing.

Noah Kerwin: Best brewery in MKE.

Paul and Lillian Bruns: We stopped here for a beer after visiting the public market. Everyone at the bar was very friendly. We had a few beers and all were pretty good. A neat location downstairs and kind of in the basement but it wasn't too hard to find. Bartenders did a great job of helping us find local things to do.

Lauren Domski: Great atmosphere. The beer was not our favorite. However, the staff where very kind and it is a fun stop if you are looking for a beer and cozy atmosphere in the Third Ward!

El Gringo Rojo: Cool brewery right in the Third Ward. I got a flight and really liked all the beer. Friendly staff as well 😛🤓🍻

Angela Giangiulio: Ok WOW! My fiancé and I are big brewery goers. This one is one of our new favorites. The beer selection is great and the wizard vibe is so fun. I did a “roll the dice” beer flight. They had it in this fun castle where you actually roll 4 dice to determine your beers and you get it at a discount price. The staff was fun and personable and the music was fantastic! We will always recommend Wizard Works Brewery

Casey Springer: were very friendly and loved sharing their knowledge of craft brewing. I can't wait to go back!

Milwaukee Ale House: what do users think?

Dan Dan: Nice place to have dinner overlooking the river

Louis Young: Pretty good food nice to sit along the water and they are dog friendly.

William Hughes: Great place to have dinner and drinks on the river. Food and beer were both really good, and the prices were good for what you get.

Amberly Marckini: Nice spot. Decent prices. Cool river side seating. Only thing I wasn't a fan of was the beer.

Andy Andersen: Nice place to get a beer and sit on the river

rdt3891: . But today, today was different. It's been a while and I needed something quick before a meeting

Emily Moore: Best cheese curds I’ve had! Wow. I will be back.

Shyam Patel: Will update with detail review

Patrick John: Cool vibe with interesting lighting and a pleasant hipster vibe. The beer varieties are varied and well done. I had the Hazy IPA which was great and not overly sweet. The food was solid and I went with the butter burger and brussel sprouts. The burger was delicious. The sprouts were a tad disappointing because there was too much butter sauce on them. They would have been great other than that.Overall, this is a fun brewery worth a visit for sure.

Paul and Lillian Bruns: We came here for a few drinks and also had dinner. They have a pretty good tap list with a lot of different styles. The food was good, we had cheese curds and chili with an added grilled cheese. There was a Packers game on and they were also getting ready for a New Year's Eve event so it was pretty busy. Service was very good as we were right before an expected rush and they had a lot of people working.

Dead Bird Brewing Company: what do users think?

Daniel Fessler: the vibes were immaculate

Paul Hans: Beer was ok, pizza was very good.

Kori Schneider Peragine: Went for trivia and truly enjoyed everything! Staff was great, good beer and food, and I loved the vibe of the establishment.

Patrick John: Nice little spot on the Eastside of MKE. Solid beers in a variety of styles. Limited food choices such as chips and pizzas. The space is very fun with arcade games, board games, etc. very chill environment and worth a visit.

Alexandra Schiessl-Moore: Dead Bird is in my top 3 breweries in MKE. Their beer is always fantastic; over the summer they had a strong English ale that was one of the best I’ve had. LOVE that they are vegan, too. 🌱

Trent Comp: First time there tonight… Andrew is the best. Great environment and super cool place.

Paul and Lillian Bruns: This was a fun brewery to visit. They had a selection of games on the wall but what really caught my eye was the hammer game. Very unique. They also had lots of arcade games too. They had a kitchen going with a lot of interesting looking pizzas, but we just had a pretzel which was good.

John Dykstra: Beer? Food? Arcade games? Get here

william braun: , but that's cool because all the beer I drink is vegan.

Shyanne Pattrin: I didn't think the perfect place for me existed, yet here it is. Amazing food, great beer, and all of my favourite arcade machines? And it's all vegan? Feels too good to be true. The nachos are insane, it's hard for me to try the rest of the menu when I keep filling up on nachos, but from what I have had, there's not a single mediocre item on the menu, it's all great.

Gail Diet: The nachos are amazing! They make their own sodas and they are uniquely delicious!

There were shootings down at Pfizer forum and now it's a train wreck The cops are everywhere and it's a total circus I wouldn't recommend going down here on a Saturday night it's impossible to find a place to park unless you Uber or walk 2 miles it sucks Milwaukee is a train wreck

Nora Kasz: Good brews, great staff, cool space!

Brian Hendricks: Loved this place. The owners are friendly are are happy to answer all questions. Great atmosphere and fun place to watch baseball. And can't forget the beer. Beer was great, Mint Condition was my favorite, but there are plenty of good tasting brews.4/30/24 Update: Recently hosted a network event in the upstairs Lumber Room. The space was huge, clean, and absolutely beautiful. The staff was so friendly and were such a huge help. I highly recommend BBB if you are looking for an event space!

Joel Shilts: First time here, seems like a cool place and the beer I have tried is very good.

pamela ward: Free food on their anniversary, great crowd, great beer, friendly staff what more can you ask for?

Patti Fuerbringer: Great place with good selection of beers. Our beer tender was very helpful and engaging. Highly recommend.

Donald Vance: The beer was good.

Kara Simmons: We love stopping by broken bat! It’s walking distance for us and it’s dog friendly so we love bringing our pup! They have a good variety of beer to choose from. There is pool and darts available. The staff is always very friendly and fun to chat with!

Robin Seavers: Fun place to do the Milwaukee Board Game night. There were couples with their dogs playing darts. The couples played, the dogs added a family atmosphere.

Sarah B: Great space, great product, terrific service!

The Borg Cooking Show: They have a pool table and two dart boards now.I have been participating in their wiffle ball league for a while and it is quite fun. Part of their warehouse has been transformed into a small wiffle ball diamond with an electronic scoreboard. The staff is friendly and the league is pretty laid back in terms of competitiveness. Just a great way to spend a weeknight with the boys.Their beer was pretty terrible for a while. Each and every tap tasted as if it had not been cleaned or perhaps the aging barrels all had a bit of funk to them during the brewing process. However, I will say that their beers have been much better as of late. I am not sure if they changed recipes or did a deep clean on their lines, but there is a noticeable difference in quality. So if you were turned off by the flavor of beers in the past, give them another chance.Their upstairs area is a nice addition as well and can accommodate large parties.

Travis Hartwig: Great beer!

Alyssa, waywardblog: . Definitely worth a stop in if you're in the area.

Drew Waterstreet: . We simply ordered from a local pizza place and had them drop it off. Broken Bat Brewing allows you to bring in any food you would like, so this gives you a lot of flexibility when it comes to feeding your guests.FUN: While it wasn’t part of our plan, we ended up renting the indoor wiffleball field for an hour… BEST DECISION EVER! We had so much fun, it ended up being an unexpected highlight of the weekend!Simply put, Broken Bat Brewing is a top-tier option in Milwaukee to host your rehearsal dinner or other event. They certainly made return customers out of us — CHEERS!

Heather Hale: . And the recommendation for Camino for lunch was amazing. It was also great!! If we make it back to this area, will definitely come back!

Hacienda Beer Co. North Ave Taproom: what do users think?

alexis kristoffersen: I go there regularly, usually once a week. The people are lovely and the food is wonderful. There are weeks when I've eaten there 3-4 days in a row. They recently added ribs to their menu and I recommend them very highly.Vegetarian options: They have wonderful vegetarian options that are both flavorful and healthy.Kid-friendliness: Very family friendly.

Hali Schatz: The atmosphere here is absolute perfection. The space has been so thoughtfully designed to create intimate spaces for quiet conversation while remaining open enough to be comfortable for crowded nights with live music. It really makes the most of the light coming in creating such a nice environment to sit with friends for hours. Even the bathrooms are well thought out from the little shelf for a phone and a beer to the doors that go all the way to the floor. We were there for brunch. The pork belly bowl with the grits was amazing, though I'll admit the grits could have been warmer. My dining companion loved the brisket sandwich. The michelada is not to be missed at brunch. We will definitely be back for dinner.Vegetarian options: A little lacking hereParking: One block over was plenty of parking spots.

Nate Kressin: Excellent food. Slow cooked brisket tacos, grits, queso chips, and quesodilla were great. The place was pretty full for a packers game so the server was slammed but he did his best. The improvement needed is to the options of non alcoholic beverages. Add a NA beer, like Untitled Art NA Cerveza, iced tea, lemonade, maybe a few local bottled sodas. Having just 4 soda options and juice is not acceptable.Edit 1/9/24: They added NA options to the menu, thank you!

Christianne Varela: Clean, bright, modern casual dining. Great beer selection and fantastic, creative food menu. Service was outstanding. We had the fish fry and brisket tacos, delish!Vegetarian options: Strong vegan/vegetarian menu

Jennifer Ortigara: We have been here before for the weekly menu with tacos on it. Excellent menu.Today, we came for the brunch menu- tacos are on the weekly menu not brunch- so we branched out and tried the weekend brunch menu- husband loved the breakfast burrito. I got the French Toast- seasonal adjustments- today it was Peach French Toast. Amazing! Cheers to the entire team at Hacienda. Bartenders are friendly. Beers are great. Atmosphere is very nice.

1840 Brewing Company: what do users think?

Maia H: A great range of beers that are ever-changing! They have some good locally made snacks as well. I highly recommend the jar of salsa and bag if chips for $10. It's a cool, rustic atmosphere. My only complaint is that they no longer allow dogs inside the brewery.

Tatiana B: Small brewery with IPA/sour choices. It’s kinda hard to find as the door is not clearly labeled. Friendly staff.

Mike Manske: Just absolutely master-level brewing. The range of imperials alone is amazing. The barley wine was so rich and complex. Also, a nice, comfortable pub with a cozy atmosphere.

Alfonso Carmona: As always, outstanding. 1840 never disappoints!!!

Chad Matzen: Everything they release is excellent from barrel aged sours to NEIPAs.Years later it's still my favorite Milwaukee area brewery!Years later still and I proclaim this the best brewery in Wisconsin!

Aaron (A-A-Ron): This place was great and fun plus the beer was good. However, what really took it up a notch was the service and the game of skeetch!

Marilyn Besasie: Not noisy! Finally, a brewery you can sit in and not have loud music, screaming kids, barking dogs, or loud conversation echoing off the warehouse walls. I tried just a couple of beers and they were too hoppy for me, but everyone else at our table loved them. Many of us had been there before and enjoyed the selection of beers and the environment. One weird thing is the lone group table is too low for the high stools around it. I like the decor and the staff were very pleasant. I'll be back to give more of their beers a try and see if I can find a less hoppy one. They make a terrific addition to the neighborhood.

Dave Donahue: Nice chill brewery taproom in a neat neighborhood area. Very good beers of varying styles, particularly the hazy IPAs.

James Dettman: Out of state and this is our go to spot. Can’t beat the atmosphere. Great beer, great friends. Will be back!

Ashley Burbick: Great beers and awesome brewery

Jon Young (Highlander): Great spot, hidden gem for sure!

Scott Kutcka: Atmosphere and vibe is excellent. All of the beers I tried were excellent and the staff was friendly and very helpful!

Cel Krause: Relaxing environment with aging barrels on display. A smaller seating area makes for an intimate, conversation based visit. They have games to play at your table, which I love as a feature to many micro breweries. The beers are delicious and a wide variety to choose from. You're bound to find something you like here.

Urban Harvest Brewing Company: what do users think?

Matt Kohls: Some of the best beer in town and everyone that works there is great. Owner is very knowledgeable and passionate about his beers. Highly recommend checking them out.

Cindy Meyer: . I absolutely love how owner Steve supports his community and organizations like the Wisconsin Humane Society and his patrons. Also as a retired Infection Control Practitioner, I am SO impressed with the cleanliness of the facility and especially how UHBC operated during COVID-19 pandemic ... nice job!

Sebastian Miller: Nice venue! Good selection of beers.

Mary Jane Sanchez: FEBREWARY!First time at this brewery, a beautiful building and setting. I tried the Corkscrew IPA finished in wine casks, and I also had the Lupy Hazy IPA. Both are delicious. On Sundays, they have a little market, so that was kind of nice to see.

Brandon Grosz: Came in on a Sunday. Local and great beer

Maia H: I've been to this brewery a few times over the past years. I think their beers have improved a lot over time! I really enjoyed the seasonal beers, Lil Sue and the HC IPA. For the year-around beer, I liked the Nookie Nookie the best. It's a atmosphere and it's never too busy. It's not too hard to find street parking. It is dog-friendly and have packaged snacks for sale!

Ryan S: Such a cool place and fantastic beer, arguably some of the best in the area

Martin Rudd: craft market going on inside. You could talk, you could watch TV, background music was on. There is a walk up location to order beer and some snacks are available for purchase. Maple Brown and Lupy IPA were delicious. We were very glad to find this neighborhood brewery and taproom.

Chuck M: Good beer. Great atmosphere.

Pati Rodriguez: This is my happy place!! I love the cozy vibes and the coolness of the decor. The staff is ALWAYS friendly and knowledgeable. And the beers are freaking delicious. Mug Club member 4life!! #supportsmallbusiness

Dave Van Spankeren: Great beer selection. Enjoyable atmosphere.

Keith Woeltje: Good beer. Friendly service.

Carla Seaman: Stopped here on Saturday as we were biking our way thru Minneapolis! The staff was fantastic and informative! The beers were our favorite of the day! It would be our go to brewery if we lived in the area for sure!

Juan Antonio Rodríguez: Great beers and great tours.

Jackson Chesbro: Such an awesome variety of well-made beers, and you couldn’t ask for a friendlier staff !

Indeed Brewing Company & Taproom Milwaukee: what do users think?

Paul and Lillian Bruns:

Lauren Domski: Some of the BEST beer in Milwaukee. You won’t regret coming to this cozy taproom. There is guaranteed to be a beer style you like and the woodwork is stunning. The bar is beautiful and from the old St. Paul Hamm’s brewery! Friendliest staff too!! Come show them some love and buy some tots or a pizza. Fun summer rooftop across the road as well!

Marian Sawicki: The beer is great, the variety and periodic changes to the selection keeps it interesting and enjoyable to return. The staff have been amazingly accommodating and provide service with enthusiasm and a smile! I love the assortment of games available for entertainment at the tables in the Taproom as well as the charity events sponsored on a regular basis. The "Roof Top" during the warmer months added a special bonus and a sweet view of the city as well as being extremely comfortable seating outside. Indeed is a wonderful addition to Walker's Point, Milwaukee! The bottled sours are incredible. If you like sours they’ve got some of the best. Cherry Dust, Neon Mango, Candy Flip, and Kinda Blue are all worth taking home to enjoy when you can’t make it to the taproom.Kid-friendliness: The casual atmosphere and availability of cards and games make it conducive to coming as a family and being able to entertain kids or have them entertain themselves.

Justina Zukauskaite: Great people, tasty beerService: 5/5 …

Best Place at the Historic Pabst Brewery: what do users think?

Benjamin Greenwood: My boyfriend and I went here back in October and loved it so much we ended up coming back there every other day for coffee. We even took the tour and had a much more fun time than either of us expected. I've been coming to this place on and off for awhile for the never-disappointing coffee courtesy of Anodyne, and I would be quick to recommend this cafe to anyone staying in the Pabst district. Nothing beats the charm of this place.I will keep those memories of our days watching the hands of autumn fall on Milwaukee with him forever in my heart.

Chicago Cameraslinger: Freshest PBR you'll ever have! The tour is packed full of Americana history and Mark was a fantastic guide through it all. Beer just tastes better the more you know about it.The giftshop has every type of souvenir you could want to take home with you, too!

The AdventuriST: Excellent spot to drink some good beers with family and friends!! !

They also had free popcorn machine going! There is a large projector and TV if you want to watch a game.

Gareth Lippe: Amazing beer, great staff. Check out the pistachio cream ale.

Sebastian Miller: Solid beers. Dog-friendly. Huge screen — great place to watch the game.

Jeanette Bultman: The best beer on the East Side. If you like fruity beer 🍺 🍊🍑 and IPAs just to name a few. Highly recommended.

Joel Hansen: A couple decent beers on tap! 🤘

Rebecca Schnell: every time I’ve come here the food is amazing and so is the beer 😍😍

Sebastian Miller: One of the best breweries in MKE.

Logan Manderle: This is my favorite brewery in the Milwaukee area. They have some really good beers here, and it is always one of the first places I recommend when people from out of town want to visit a brewer in Milwaukee. Their food is also pretty solid.

Paul and Lillian Bruns: We stopped in here for a quick beer. The space was not too busy on a Tuesday evening. They had a nice space and we liked the Christmas lights. Service was good and everyone was friendly. They had a pretty good tap list, and the best peppermint beer we've tried.

Curtis Bouchard: Good beer and spot

Christopher PinkRolo: Great service, excellent beer, delicious food.

Gary Hueppchen: Best beer around

Trevor Sosamon: Delicious beer and burger!

Good City Brewing: what do users think?

Naoise Goeden: Excellent meal and exceptional beer! I feel like the beer here is really underrated. If you are an IPA fan you will have tons of exciting options, and there are of course options for other beer drinkers too. German beer drinkers will be left wanting however.Food was delicious! I ordered the Dill Pickle Burger which is a limited edition special they are offering. It had a nice ensemble of savory dill pickle flavors as well as an unusual but inviting sweet flavor. No clash of flavors and a welcome guest for my tongue. Salad was exceptional for a side salad. It is unfortunate that so many side salads fall off to the side at restaurants but the side salad here was an exception. The Italian vinaigrette added a layer of complexity with a gently spicy profile, but not to fret the cucumber and pickled onion balance out any spice that might scare some away.Price was a little high, but understandable for the quality that you get from the food and beer. I will definitely be dining here again for both the beer and food and can't recommend enough! I do wish they had more merchandise to offer, that's my only major critique...

K: Nice happy hour and good beer!

dizroca: The Beer was delicious! "Fan Favorite" literally the name explains it. Awesome vibe. 100% recommend.

sarah meyers: Riley is one of the best examples of customer service I have ever seen! She was quick to take not just our order but those around us. She knew the menu backwards and forwards. The brews here are fantastic, the service is wonderful, and the atmosphere is perfection. Not to mention the patio! Will be back here for sure!

Maia H: Nice location on Farwell! They also have a separate room for large parties. The rooftop bar is nice and they have some patio seating as well. The food wasn't anything spectacular, but worth the stop! The cheese curds are pretty good. The craft beer is good as well. The servers was not personable, hopefully we just caught her on an off day.

Aaron (A-A-Ron): Great beers and awesome service. I’m an out of towner and this place set the tone for a great Milwaukee brewery experience.
