Good City Brewing: what do users think?

Naoise Goeden: Excellent meal and exceptional beer! I feel like the beer here is really underrated. If you are an IPA fan you will have tons of exciting options, and there are of course options for other beer drinkers too. German beer drinkers will be left wanting however.Food was delicious! I ordered the Dill Pickle Burger which is a limited edition special they are offering. It had a nice ensemble of savory dill pickle flavors as well as an unusual but inviting sweet flavor. No clash of flavors and a welcome guest for my tongue. Salad was exceptional for a side salad. It is unfortunate that so many side salads fall off to the side at restaurants but the side salad here was an exception. The Italian vinaigrette added a layer of complexity with a gently spicy profile, but not to fret the cucumber and pickled onion balance out any spice that might scare some away.Price was a little high, but understandable for the quality that you get from the food and beer. I will definitely be dining here again for both the beer and food and can't recommend enough! I do wish they had more merchandise to offer, that's my only major critique...

K: Nice happy hour and good beer!

dizroca: The Beer was delicious! "Fan Favorite" literally the name explains it. Awesome vibe. 100% recommend.

sarah meyers: Riley is one of the best examples of customer service I have ever seen! She was quick to take not just our order but those around us. She knew the menu backwards and forwards. The brews here are fantastic, the service is wonderful, and the atmosphere is perfection. Not to mention the patio! Will be back here for sure!

Maia H: Nice location on Farwell! They also have a separate room for large parties. The rooftop bar is nice and they have some patio seating as well. The food wasn't anything spectacular, but worth the stop! The cheese curds are pretty good. The craft beer is good as well. The servers was not personable, hopefully we just caught her on an off day.

Aaron (A-A-Ron): Great beers and awesome service. I’m an out of towner and this place set the tone for a great Milwaukee brewery experience.

MobCraft Beer Brewery and Taproom: what do users think?

Lea Cea: Fun beer selection,Especially sours!

Justin D: Nice place with plenty of indoor seating and multiple tables outside. Extremely large selection of their beer on tap so regardless of your taste you will find something in the style you enjoy. Personally the Fish Fry Rye was excellent and very easy to drink. Looking forward to going back for their brewery tour and trying their other beers.

Kara Simmons: I have not had the food. I usually just go for a beer. They have a great rewards program and they always have a great beer selection, so many varieties. The staff is always friendly but today Julie, the bartender and by herself and she was busy but she was still super friendly and took great care of us.

Alex Robinson: Отличное пиво. Приезжий из другого города, и у бармена были отличные отзывы, а также другие местные места, которые стоит попробовать.

Crystal Lein: .

1840 Brewing Company: what do users think?

Maia H: A great range of beers that are ever-changing! They have some good locally made snacks as well. I highly recommend the jar of salsa and bag if chips for $10. It's a cool, rustic atmosphere. My only complaint is that they no longer allow dogs inside the brewery.

Tatiana B: Small brewery with IPA/sour choices. It’s kinda hard to find as the door is not clearly labeled. Friendly staff.

Mike Manske: Just absolutely master-level brewing. The range of imperials alone is amazing. The barley wine was so rich and complex. Also, a nice, comfortable pub with a cozy atmosphere.

Alfonso Carmona: As always, outstanding. 1840 never disappoints!!!

Chad Matzen: Everything they release is excellent from barrel aged sours to NEIPAs.Years later it's still my favorite Milwaukee area brewery!Years later still and I proclaim this the best brewery in Wisconsin!

Aaron (A-A-Ron): This place was great and fun plus the beer was good. However, what really took it up a notch was the service and the game of skeetch!

Marilyn Besasie: Not noisy! Finally, a brewery you can sit in and not have loud music, screaming kids, barking dogs, or loud conversation echoing off the warehouse walls. I tried just a couple of beers and they were too hoppy for me, but everyone else at our table loved them. Many of us had been there before and enjoyed the selection of beers and the environment. One weird thing is the lone group table is too low for the high stools around it. I like the decor and the staff were very pleasant. I'll be back to give more of their beers a try and see if I can find a less hoppy one. They make a terrific addition to the neighborhood.

Dave Donahue: Nice chill brewery taproom in a neat neighborhood area. Very good beers of varying styles, particularly the hazy IPAs.

James Dettman: Out of state and this is our go to spot. Can’t beat the atmosphere. Great beer, great friends. Will be back!

Ashley Burbick: Great beers and awesome brewery

Jon Young (Highlander): Great spot, hidden gem for sure!

Scott Kutcka: Atmosphere and vibe is excellent. All of the beers I tried were excellent and the staff was friendly and very helpful!

Cel Krause: Relaxing environment with aging barrels on display. A smaller seating area makes for an intimate, conversation based visit. They have games to play at your table, which I love as a feature to many micro breweries. The beers are delicious and a wide variety to choose from. You're bound to find something you like here.

Urban Harvest Brewing Company: what do users think?

Matt Kohls: Some of the best beer in town and everyone that works there is great. Owner is very knowledgeable and passionate about his beers. Highly recommend checking them out.

Cindy Meyer: . I absolutely love how owner Steve supports his community and organizations like the Wisconsin Humane Society and his patrons. Also as a retired Infection Control Practitioner, I am SO impressed with the cleanliness of the facility and especially how UHBC operated during COVID-19 pandemic ... nice job!

Sebastian Miller: Nice venue! Good selection of beers.

Mary Jane Sanchez: FEBREWARY!First time at this brewery, a beautiful building and setting. I tried the Corkscrew IPA finished in wine casks, and I also had the Lupy Hazy IPA. Both are delicious. On Sundays, they have a little market, so that was kind of nice to see.

Brandon Grosz: Came in on a Sunday. Local and great beer

Maia H: I've been to this brewery a few times over the past years. I think their beers have improved a lot over time! I really enjoyed the seasonal beers, Lil Sue and the HC IPA. For the year-around beer, I liked the Nookie Nookie the best. It's a atmosphere and it's never too busy. It's not too hard to find street parking. It is dog-friendly and have packaged snacks for sale!

Ryan S: Such a cool place and fantastic beer, arguably some of the best in the area

Martin Rudd: craft market going on inside. You could talk, you could watch TV, background music was on. There is a walk up location to order beer and some snacks are available for purchase. Maple Brown and Lupy IPA were delicious. We were very glad to find this neighborhood brewery and taproom.

Chuck M: Good beer. Great atmosphere.

Pati Rodriguez: This is my happy place!! I love the cozy vibes and the coolness of the decor. The staff is ALWAYS friendly and knowledgeable. And the beers are freaking delicious. Mug Club member 4life!! #supportsmallbusiness

Dave Van Spankeren: Great beer selection. Enjoyable atmosphere.

Keith Woeltje: Good beer. Friendly service.

Carla Seaman: Stopped here on Saturday as we were biking our way thru Minneapolis! The staff was fantastic and informative! The beers were our favorite of the day! It would be our go to brewery if we lived in the area for sure!

Juan Antonio Rodríguez: Great beers and great tours.

Jackson Chesbro: Such an awesome variety of well-made beers, and you couldn’t ask for a friendlier staff !

Component Brewing Company: what do users think?

Mitchell Franz: If you love sours and IPAs, Component is the brewery for you.

Tatiana B: Really great beer choices and nice ambiance inside. Friendly staff.

Maia H: A great brewery in Milwaukee that has grown a lot! This brewery has two entrance, through the warehouse or from the outside side of the building. I enjoy their beer, but it is pretty pricey, even for craft beer. Atmosphere is great and the servers are nice and accommodating. Highly recommend stopping, and there are 2 other craft breweries in the same warehouse!

Dillon Savage: Great little brewery. Dog friendly. All the beers we tried were good. Great variety. The building this is in would be great for a little brewery/ distillery hop as there are a few in the building. Super friendly staff

William C: Loved the seltzers. Good environment. Only complaint is the patio wall is too high

Amanda Bertucci: As a Midwestern, there is absolutely nothing better than a sense of connection with your beer. Jonathan, his family, and staff embody everything absolutely amazing about the Midwestern. I attended his inclusion focused Brewery tour and I am going to tell you. 10000% one of the best ways I have spent my Saturdays in a long time. Top it off, I am not even an IPA drinker nor a beer connoisseur. Though, the Lemonade Grenade hands down one of the best beers I've had. All around I can't say enough good things about Component Brewing Company. Worth the visit and definitely worth the conversations and connections they inspire!

Darren Allender: Great spot, good beers and friendly service. Check them out!

Becca Kocher: Great brewery that carries a wide range of beers. Dog friend and great indoor space with a patio area.

Christopher Szopinski: Great place overall. Went on a Saturday and the place was packed with a lack of seating options. Overall the beer we tried was really good. The location is within an old warehouse which makes it a little more interesting.

Broken Bat Brewing Co.: what do users think?

Nora Kasz: Good brews, great staff, cool space!

Brian Hendricks: Loved this place. The owners are friendly are are happy to answer all questions. Great atmosphere and fun place to watch baseball. And can't forget the beer. Beer was great, Mint Condition was my favorite, but there are plenty of good tasting brews.4/30/24 Update: Recently hosted a network event in the upstairs Lumber Room. The space was huge, clean, and absolutely beautiful. The staff was so friendly and were such a huge help. I highly recommend BBB if you are looking for an event space!

Joel Shilts: First time here, seems like a cool place and the beer I have tried is very good.

pamela ward: Free food on their anniversary, great crowd, great beer, friendly staff what more can you ask for?

Patti Fuerbringer: Great place with good selection of beers. Our beer tender was very helpful and engaging. Highly recommend.

Donald Vance: The beer was good.

Kara Simmons: We love stopping by broken bat! It’s walking distance for us and it’s dog friendly so we love bringing our pup! They have a good variety of beer to choose from. There is pool and darts available. The staff is always very friendly and fun to chat with!

Robin Seavers: Fun place to do the Milwaukee Board Game night. There were couples with their dogs playing darts. The couples played, the dogs added a family atmosphere.

Sarah B: Great space, great product, terrific service!

The Borg Cooking Show: They have a pool table and two dart boards now.I have been participating in their wiffle ball league for a while and it is quite fun. Part of their warehouse has been transformed into a small wiffle ball diamond with an electronic scoreboard. The staff is friendly and the league is pretty laid back in terms of competitiveness. Just a great way to spend a weeknight with the boys.Their beer was pretty terrible for a while. Each and every tap tasted as if it had not been cleaned or perhaps the aging barrels all had a bit of funk to them during the brewing process. However, I will say that their beers have been much better as of late. I am not sure if they changed recipes or did a deep clean on their lines, but there is a noticeable difference in quality. So if you were turned off by the flavor of beers in the past, give them another chance.Their upstairs area is a nice addition as well and can accommodate large parties.

Travis Hartwig: Great beer!

Alyssa, waywardblog: . Definitely worth a stop in if you're in the area.

Drew Waterstreet: . We simply ordered from a local pizza place and had them drop it off. Broken Bat Brewing allows you to bring in any food you would like, so this gives you a lot of flexibility when it comes to feeding your guests.FUN: While it wasn’t part of our plan, we ended up renting the indoor wiffleball field for an hour… BEST DECISION EVER! We had so much fun, it ended up being an unexpected highlight of the weekend!Simply put, Broken Bat Brewing is a top-tier option in Milwaukee to host your rehearsal dinner or other event. They certainly made return customers out of us — CHEERS!

Heather Hale: . And the recommendation for Camino for lunch was amazing. It was also great!! If we make it back to this area, will definitely come back!

Wizard Works Brewing Company: what do users think?

Brian George: Great atmosphere, got to chat with one of the brewers. Friendly staff. Good beer. If you like Magic, and Fantasy this is a bar you should have on your list.

Emma Winske: We held our wedding welcome party here and it was perfect! We had about 40 guests and the space was ideal for that size group. We catered in pizzas, and the staff was so helpful in getting everything set up and keeping the food space clean. The two bartenders were WONDERFUL! They were engaged with all of our guests, attentive to anything we needed, and made sure everyone was having a great time. Oh, and the beer was great too!!

Natalie Losik: This place is so much fun!

Lauren George: Great time, good brews, and the owner was kind enough to do a magic show at the bar for us ✨️🍻

David Sachs: Great beer, great atmosphere, and AMAZING magic.

Kimberly Massengale (BlackWidow6913): We came here solely because we had met the owner before! The great Ivanovich! Would highly recommend coming in and grabbing a beer and enjoying the magic when he is here.

ben brockman: Top notch brewing! The vibe is very relaxing and everyone is friendly. Check it out if you haven’t yet!

The Borg Cooking Show: I'm here for the marble racing.

Noah Kerwin: Best brewery in MKE.

Paul and Lillian Bruns: We stopped here for a beer after visiting the public market. Everyone at the bar was very friendly. We had a few beers and all were pretty good. A neat location downstairs and kind of in the basement but it wasn't too hard to find. Bartenders did a great job of helping us find local things to do.

Lauren Domski: Great atmosphere. The beer was not our favorite. However, the staff where very kind and it is a fun stop if you are looking for a beer and cozy atmosphere in the Third Ward!

El Gringo Rojo: Cool brewery right in the Third Ward. I got a flight and really liked all the beer. Friendly staff as well 😛🤓🍻

Angela Giangiulio: Ok WOW! My fiancé and I are big brewery goers. This one is one of our new favorites. The beer selection is great and the wizard vibe is so fun. I did a “roll the dice” beer flight. They had it in this fun castle where you actually roll 4 dice to determine your beers and you get it at a discount price. The staff was fun and personable and the music was fantastic! We will always recommend Wizard Works Brewery

Casey Springer: were very friendly and loved sharing their knowledge of craft brewing. I can't wait to go back!

Paul and Lillian Bruns: We stopped in here for a quick beer. The space was not too busy on a Tuesday evening. They had a nice space and we liked the Christmas lights. Service was good and everyone was friendly. They had a pretty good tap list, and the best peppermint beer we've tried.

Hacienda Beer Co. North Ave Taproom: what do users think?

alexis kristoffersen: I go there regularly, usually once a week. The people are lovely and the food is wonderful. There are weeks when I've eaten there 3-4 days in a row. They recently added ribs to their menu and I recommend them very highly.Vegetarian options: They have wonderful vegetarian options that are both flavorful and healthy.Kid-friendliness: Very family friendly.

Hali Schatz: The atmosphere here is absolute perfection. The space has been so thoughtfully designed to create intimate spaces for quiet conversation while remaining open enough to be comfortable for crowded nights with live music. It really makes the most of the light coming in creating such a nice environment to sit with friends for hours. Even the bathrooms are well thought out from the little shelf for a phone and a beer to the doors that go all the way to the floor. We were there for brunch. The pork belly bowl with the grits was amazing, though I'll admit the grits could have been warmer. My dining companion loved the brisket sandwich. The michelada is not to be missed at brunch. We will definitely be back for dinner.Vegetarian options: A little lacking hereParking: One block over was plenty of parking spots.

Nate Kressin: Excellent food. Slow cooked brisket tacos, grits, queso chips, and quesodilla were great. The place was pretty full for a packers game so the server was slammed but he did his best. The improvement needed is to the options of non alcoholic beverages. Add a NA beer, like Untitled Art NA Cerveza, iced tea, lemonade, maybe a few local bottled sodas. Having just 4 soda options and juice is not acceptable.Edit 1/9/24: They added NA options to the menu, thank you!

Christianne Varela: Clean, bright, modern casual dining. Great beer selection and fantastic, creative food menu. Service was outstanding. We had the fish fry and brisket tacos, delish!Vegetarian options: Strong vegan/vegetarian menu

Jennifer Ortigara: We have been here before for the weekly menu with tacos on it. Excellent menu.Today, we came for the brunch menu- tacos are on the weekly menu not brunch- so we branched out and tried the weekend brunch menu- husband loved the breakfast burrito. I got the French Toast- seasonal adjustments- today it was Peach French Toast. Amazing! Cheers to the entire team at Hacienda. Bartenders are friendly. Beers are great. Atmosphere is very nice.

City Lights Brewing Co.: what do users think?

N. Moses: , you would have to loop around the brewery or the brewer lot and come the other way to park in the slanted parking spots. Really kind of messed up. I believe she was going to follow up and see what could be done to make the situation clearer. My apologies to City Lights for being a nob. I do hope that some additional signage, either from the city or the brewery might keep others from getting tickets. There were a half a dozen cars who did the same thing I did and got tickets for their pains. Here's to ticket free beer drinking. Thanks, and sorry for the bad review, which I am now retracting.

Madeline Milian: I’m telling you the environment was fantastic I loved the food, the beer, and the servers. They were all kind and welcoming I definitely know even when it gets busy they are attentive to making sure everyone gets their orders in. Definitely come check city lights out! Plus their outdoor patio is so nice to drink & eat during the nice weather !

Shyam Patel: Had an amazing time here with a group of 15! The atmosphere is welcoming, and the staff is attentive. The food is fantastic, with a diverse menu to suit all tastes. The craft beers are a highlight – refreshing and well-crafted. The staff goes above and beyond to ensure a memorable experience. Highly recommend for a great night out! Cheers to the team at City Lights Brewing Co.! 🍻

Keith Woeltje: Good beer. Cool setting

Mike Pinter: Great beer options and delicious munchies

Ed Sahagian-Allsopp: Love the hazy IPA.

Matt Coldagelli: Fantastic spot. Ordered some incredible apps and enjoyed a great flight of beer. Service is awesome.

Jeanette Peterson: Great drinks. Delicious food. Very friendly staff. Beautiful, cozy interior. I love that you can see the brewery while you drink.

Adrian rivera: I didn’t stay too long, I had the hazy IPA and the smash mouth burger if I’m remembering correctly. The burger was great, and so was the ipa. I wish I was able stay longer! On Sundays they have a deal of a burger And beer for $10! Cool stuff!

Satyaki “Seth” Mitra: City Lights is one of coolest breweries in Milwaukee. Their coconut porter is legendary and the food is great too.

Brandon Stanley: Delicious Irish red ale and some nachos with really distinct beer cheese. Great service as well.

Gathering Place Brewing Company: what do users think?

Ross: Great locale with a truly unique "road runner" beer made of prickly pear. Also great French saison!

Ian Hackett: We recently hosted our wedding rehearsal dinner at the Riverwest Taproom location and the experience was fantastic! Everyone in the Gathering Place team was a pleasure to work with. The process was so simple and they went above and beyond to make sure the space was what we needed. Not to mention that the beer was all great!

Lauren: Great beer and atmosphere!

Ken Heitman: Worth the stop. Nice selection of beer. Tried 3 different brews during this stop. All were good. Personally liked the Storm &Stress Black Larger. Older industrial area on the north side. Be sure to make the stop… Will come again when in town.

Keith Woeltje: Fantastic microbrewery. Mostly German styles, but a good variety of beers. Super friendly service.

Dave Van Spankeren: Quiet, relaxing brewery with a great Raddler.

Old Mke: Stopped in on a warm November afternoon and was very impressed with the welcoming atmosphere and hospitality from the servers.Beers were above board on quality and $$$.Enjoyed the conversations with the other clientele and servers.Cool place all around.

Jhonathan Vazquez: Great selection of beer, the cream ale is a must try!!

Laura Lynn: It is always great visiting Gathering Place. The bartenders are always welcome and they have great beers available.I appreciate they have a variety of great beers on the menu without needing to make a ton of fruity/super flavored beers.

P. Kahn: so this may be my new favorite place. The inside area is small but even when busy wasn't too noisy. I also spoke with Joe at the bar

Badger Fishinski: The Bundesliga on TV here???

Luke Gobel: A lot to do. We liked every beer we tried. Christian had fantastic service.

Matthew Lyon: This is the best bar in Milwaukee, don't let anyone tell you otherwise. They have a rotating tap and craft cocktail list so there are always plenty of options, but you never feel out of place drinking a High Life either. Perfect combo! Staff is incredibly friendly, quick, and knowledgeable, even when the place gets busy. Can't recommend enough.

Dana Stalewski: My partner and my own favorite bar in Milwaukee. We felt welcome during on our first endeavor, and have been returning on every visit. Love the low key vibe, wonderful staff, and being able to connect with one other without distraction. 2 single bathrooms, so, if you have to pee, don’t hesitate to jump in line. I have a tiny tank. There’s tavern pizza, and it smelled good, but I already ate dinner and wasn’t to the point of second dinner!!

Zachary K.: Michelle was such a wonderful tour guide and to learn she came here to cover a shift made her ability to be so personal such a delight! Not to mention some of the sodas. I've only trier some of sprechers more common flavors, but that honeycrisp apple soda was enough to warrant a return trip

Bailey O: Super fun, cool and filled with tasty samples. Michelle was amazing, felt like I was part of the Sprecher family. Best root beer I've ever hadVisited on Weekend …

ZachC: Michelle was an amazing tour guide, I had a wonderful time!

Kristina Randall: The tours are fun and interesting. The staff are very friendly and I love that I can buy a 4 pack of soda but pick my flavors. I was able to try their lemonade and it was very good.Visited on Weekday Wait time No wait Reservation recommended Not sure …

Marcus Lynch: The sprecher brewery tour lead by Tour guide Jeff was fantastic. He was incredibly knowledgeable, entertaining, and handsome. How this man is not a model I do not know. But if you ever have a chance to book a brewery tour with Sprecher I highly recommend it before he inevitably goes to work for Ralph Lauren or Calvin KleinVisited on Weekend Wait time No wait Reservation recommended Yes …

Kelly Barnett: We loved the tour, root beer and hard root beer. We went back the next day since we enjoyed it so much the first time!Visited on Weekend Wait time No wait …

Glen Beach: My whole family really enjoyed the tour. Our guide was fun and very nice and the rest of the staff was very friendly and welcoming.I would recommend giving yourself plenty of time. The tour isn't that long but if you plan on drinking all 4 full pours of beer that the adults get you'll want a designated driver, Uber, or plenty of time to sober up. Some of their beers are pretty potent. They have a small but tasty menu of food items you can purchase. If it's still available, any bourbon barrel beer fans should try the 12 Dragons. It's not included in the tour options but it's worth the price of $10 a pint. It's smooth, and kinda sweet with a 14%abv that warms the tummy.

Joey Vosters: Visited 4/21/24. OG Cristian was our tour guide and he was awesome. Our whole family hung out for 2 hours with all the soda and got a pizza and a pretzel. Played some cards and watched a little of the Brewers game.Kids tried to rank the sodas but everything got 5 stars from most of them. Left with 2 cases of soda and and handful of beers.

Ellen Breithaupt: was funny and informative. We had a great time. Also, he’s a really cool guy, whom all 7th graders should pay rapt attention to!Visited on Weekend Wait time 10–30 min Reservation recommended Yes …

Jeff Smithe: Best brewery tour in the cityVisited on Weekday Wait time No wait Reservation recommended Yes …

Heidi: My significant other and I found this root beer during a comparison contest and fell in love! Their cream soda is currently our favorite, but we have tried them all! Including that hard sodas. The tour was amazing to see and hear about the history and OG Cristian was a great guide!Unlimited soda on tap was the BEST! Keep going and growing Sprecher!🏆
