Kathryn O'Donnell: The staff was incredibly nice and welcoming, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The fried chicken on a house-made biscuit was absolutely delicious, with amazing flavors that I am sure to be dreaming about. Sitting at the bar and watching the staff enjoy their work only added to the overall experience. The cocktails are crafted and delicious. You won't be disappointed!
Susan Dickinson: We came here at the end of a weekend getaway to MKE and it was the perfect way to end our trip. We could not stop talking about how amazing the food was! Our group had the BELTCH, the Wulfundido, the two egg breakfast, and the pancakes. Everything was absolutely incredible. The coffee was also great, and we had fun watching the barista do his magic -- he was amazing. Wait staff were kind, efficient, and attentive. The price was very reasonable for how amazing the food is! Highly highly recommend this place.

Scott Swosinski: We attended the La Merenda pop up Easter brunch at the event space at the old Engine company no.3. The food is always superb. The venue is stunning inside. The service is tops. The menu had breakfast as well as lunch tapas to share. Look for more of these popup kitchen events.

Amy: I was expecting smaller portions when I heard their brunch described as a tapas situation-- but really, everything was very well portioned. The hot chocolate isn't super sweet, so if that's something that will break your heart do not order it.All dishes were superb, perfectly seasoned and apportioned. Patatas bravas perfectly seasoned, the chorizo add-on is a MUST. Shakshuka could have more bread served with it-- there's not enough to really use it to eat the amount of tomato/pepper mixture that you get. The hostess/serving staff didn't seem to be fully attentive, but they weren't impolite and the dish that wasn't brought out didn't appear on the bill so it seemed she just missed the order altogether.

Bethany Blount: Quick Update: It's still delicious! I had more restraint than below, but I also came hungrier. They have several delightful crêpe options this season. I wish I could afford to try them all!Absolutely delish! We went for a little brunch and ended up splurging on a three course meal. I made the joke when ordering dessert that I would have to be wheeled out of the restaurant. It was all so good though that my willpower abandoned me. I would highly recommend!
Dave Dunn: Last two times I have gone here I have had bad food. Fried chicken livers way over done, and beef shank was dry and tough, variable were under cooked to he point of being raw. And last time I went somehow my bill came out to $168. I had drinks and bought cocktails mix to go, but just seemed like too much after I thought about it. Not sure if I trust restaurant manger, seemed to be playing around with the bill.
Bel: I had a delicious cup of coffee and ordered the following: Mushroom and spinach waffle. Bread pudding waffle with mushroom duxelle, broccolini, salad, feta, truffle oil, poached eggs and smoked shallot marmalade. Looks great....however, my waffle was burned and BLACK on the bottom. Also one egg was hard in the center, not poached. Not inedible, but it could have been an amazing dish if they hadn't plated the burned waffle. The accompanying salad had a very good dressing....love breakfast with some salad on the plate. Great atmosphere and service. I'll be back.

Luke: Good food and service. Dining area isn’t very big, often have to wait for a table. Portions are reasonable for the price, but not huge. Attached market has some hard to find items, but most of what’s there is overpriced. Very good desserts, which are on display in the bakery area. Lots of vegetarian and vegan options.The parking lot is small, so I recommend parking on the street and walking if you go during peak times. Bathrooms are classy and clean.

We started with the pretzel bites and cheeseacurds. I LOVE the cheeseacurds, do not skip! For my entree I tried the chicken and french toast. Lots of great flavor and nice presentation. Originally we were sat in a very uncomfortable spot where the table was slanted and our chairs felt off balance. We asked to be moved and they obliged. Our server was nice, did her job. Manager checked in to see how our meal was, felt a little forced but that how table touching goes.

Stephanie: I came here with my boyfriend from out of town. We were seated promptly. We had our pics taken by Nick the friendly Valet gent. Our server was mediocre. We were surprised that bread wasn't a staple and we had an upcharge of 2.00 for the 🥨 pretzel bread when the dinner plates were 40 bucks a person. We went here bc it was rated high and we are both of Hermanic descent. I am second generation half Bavarian and Austrian -Irish, while my sweetie is Swiss Irish. Our server could have been more outgoing. But the food, atmosphere,and the greeter and valet were otherwise top notch. Our pesto portobello mushroom sandwiches were both refreshing and filled with flavor. The smoothies are also very good. We had a small mess up on our order and they fixed it right away and corrected the issue. Amazing service, Amazing food. We will be back!

Naoise Goeden: A great choice for your pain in the butt vegan friend! I ordered their vegan lox bagel which was surprisingly very close to an actual lox sandwhich! They use marinated carrots and mimic the taste and texture of smoked salmon very well. I honestly want to know how they do it so I can do it myself, oh well I guess I'll just have to keep coming back then! The only thing that was missing was that the staff were a little awkward and not very talkative, but maybe that was just the luck of the draw for the time of day I was in.
