Nicholas Susedik: Best record store in town in my opinion. They have a large selection, their hip hop selection is best I’ve seen. Staff is great. Really cool people who are also the owners. I recommend stopping there and checking it out.
Josh Flint: Always a lovely time going to Lilliput! Most of my records I've gotten at shops have been from Lilliput. I really enjoy its warm and moody interior, it helps make browsing far more enjoyable. The selection is also great for my tastes, and they seem to restock fairly frequently. The employees have also been respectful and kind every time. Keep on being great guys!Edit after another year of shopping at Lilliput: still a fantastic shop. Their selection is still consistently fantastic, their new releases are strong and relevant, and their record store day events are awesome! If you ain't come here yet, what are you doing?!??

Bill was $172 so I thought I just got carried away digging. Didn't catch it til i got home to Green Bay. From one shop owner to another, if you're gunna hand price and ring you gotta get the bill right.

Bill Littman: I had a collection of about 1,700 to 1,800 records and was looking to sell them. I live in Madison and contacted 5 used vinyl shops, including Bullseye. The owner set up a time to meet and he spent around 3 1/2 hours with the collection. During this time, we had a terrific conversation, mostly around music. He is very knowledgeable, without a trace of arrogance. Before he left, he gave me a value for the collection.I was thrilled with the offer and decided to sell to Bullseye. Within a few days, I watched my vinyl boxed up and driven away. A little sad, but very pleased with the cash in pocket.The process could not have gone smoother. I cannot recommend Bullseye Records any higher.

Joe Phillips: Great record store for harder to find things. The jazz section is amazing with many rare items! Also, one of, if not, the largest blues, r&b/soul sections in town. Super friendly service, a super friendly cute dog, fair prices, and well organized! What's not to love? I've walked out a few times now with $200+ in albums. Highly recommend!

Kayla B: I had a good time at Acme Records as someone who honestly doesn't know much about records. I got my first turntable a few weeks ago and a few albums from Goodwill, and wanted to go somewhere I could browse by genre rather than by artist, which this place has so it was great for me. Lots of space to move around, organized really well, and I was happy there was a rather large Electronic section which for me is what I'm most interested in right now. I love electronic music but obviously not all of the artists I like have vinyl, so I like browsing and either finding artists I know or finding new ones that look interesting. I got two vinyl that just looked cool to me and also got another from the soundtrack section that I did know, and I feel like the prices were really fair. Like, basically the same price I would pay online or even a bit less since I didn't pay for shipping.The budget section is great too, but again as I'm more into electronic not a lot was interesting to me at the moment but perhaps when I start collecting more I'll head back there. Also the dog is extremely cute, her name is Gerdy and she immediately walked up to us and was trying to look into our bags and wanting pets.The man working I think may have been the owner, but whoever he was, he was nice and helpful when I asked a few questions about an artist I liked. I'll definitely be back to see what else I can find!

Jason K 19XX: I thought I had been to all the record stores in the Milwaukee area, but I don't know how I missed this one. I guess it doesn't come up at the top of Google results, but glad I finally found it.I went in and found more in five minutes here than I did in 45 minutes at one of the city's renowned stores. Fair prices on what I looked at, and an absolute steal on a UK press of U2's "Achtung Baby" LP. I walked out with four records, and if I had more time and money that day I would have bought more. There are some new, sealed records in the store as well, but just tucked in with all the others.My only complaint is that the store is packed so full, it can be hard to look through the inventory. I had to squeeze pretty tight into an aisle to look through the LPs stacked vertically on a wall, and mostly had to see what they were by reading the spines. Small quibble, though, if you've got time to dig.

Mike Macauley: Great store. One of the very best I have been to. Great Jazz selection. So much rock you can hardly get through it. All used albums are cleaned and at least VG and above. Used CD’s are clean and typically in new cases. I have never got anything close to bad. They also carry new records and cd’s, as well as equipment and I think some clothing. The manager is super nice. She has been there many years and knows her stuff. All the employees are helpful as well!Thanks Record Head

Tesla Lockwood: Waiting for a table at Honeypie's new location, we were recommended a stroll through the neighborhood until our text arrived that a table was available.We were drawn in by the inviting open door, and we're surprised when we entered.They have such a massive selection; when we walked in we had no idea what we were getting into!I tucked in right away to the first corner, filled with graphic novels. We barely made it to the rest of the store when our table was ready. Looking forward to finding more time to make our way back there and through their vast selection.Prices are higher than one might anticipate, but the selection is varied and wide, and the quality is high. Well worth the cost.

Joe Gorman: You can great deals on used gear there, and some of the best setups repairs and service around, provided by knowledgable and nice people.
Mitchell Conn: I brought them a bass I had purchased used recently, I was a little weary of the bass in the first place as it was a bigger purchase and I knew it had issues to tend to. Took it to these guys for a deluxe setup and to address these issues and all I have to say is, wow. Turn around time was exact to what he originally quoted me, price was extremely reasonable especially compared to shops of a similar caliber in the area, setup was top notch. These guys care about their work and you can tell - this is where I will be bringing my instruments going forward. Thanks again guys!

I've also bought strings and cases from here and the prices are very good. Everyone is very friendly and knowledgeable. Muffett (Muffenstein): I installed new pick ups in my guitar and was having some issues with the bridge pick up and volume knobs.Dropped it off with these fine gents to troubleshoot my bad installation, about an hour later they called and told me it was ready.They easily diagnosed the issue, fixed it, and set up my pick ups for only $30. They are knowledgeable, affordable, and friendly.Hats off to this place. 10/10 would recommend.

Robert MacKenzie: He identified a guy in NC or somewhere that used to work for a prominent pickup manufacturer but was apparently overwhelmed by his own ideas: the original pickup, re-wrapped and reinstalled using the dusty old velvety wiring at a life-affirming price. I am going about my business with this, my teenage telecaster. Thanks, Top Shelf!The guy re-used the string.

too many phils: I went here to check the condition on my cello as i'm looking to sell it. John had a string tech take a look and she was quick and knowledgeable, explaining what she saw. John then explained what they can offer as well as what my options were outside of selling to them.I left with a clear picture of how to move forward, as I had no clue how to go about selling my cello. Zamar Guitar: I needed a lot of work done on my guitar, new 3 way pick up switch, new strings, action lowered, and tremolo bridge fixed, polish, fretboard conditioned. Bob and Larry were awesome and got all the repairs and maintenance done within 24 hours. Guitar sounds amazing, pick up switch now works, and the guitar feels great! The price was very affordable as well, I will definitely be back, great shop!
