Kaylie Schneider: This store is so great! They have lots of beautiful fabrics in all styles and the staff is so friendly. I first visited in December while in town visiting my mil and it was my first stop on this visit because they’re just so welcoming. They have a decent selection of precuts scattered throughout the store as well as notions and patterns which are perfect to pick up as souvenirs each visit. As a younger quilter I am sometimes talked down to when I visit a quilt shop but the employees here are always so friendly and encouraging. They have a good parking lot and are easy to find even for an out of towner like myself. I can’t wait to come back the next time I’m in the area to pick up more fabric for the stash!

I would highly recommend taking this demo. You won’t be disappointed.

Tracy Smith: We wanted to do a memory quilt for a wedding. They helped us pick out the right fabric and suggested the type of markers for ppl to write their well wishes, made sure we had them cut to account for the space we needed for the overlap. Then they helped us pick out the boarder and backing. They cut everything in a day, we paid for the fabric and the cutting. Now we just have to lay it out and put the squares in the order we want them, bring it back so they can finish it off for us. They have samples of different quilts hung up so you can see their work. They were friendly and easy to work with. Call them.

I googled and happened to find Log Cabin. WHAT. A. PLEASANT. SURPRISE!!!! The owner, Danica, was so extremely helpful, even directing me to a different store since she didn't carry what she felt would work best either for my quilt. So refreshing to have a business have this kind of customer service!! But the biggest smile I had is that this shop still exists!! A place where quilters can go, work on their projects together, help eachother, and of course get the professional help right there from the owner herself. I told them what I had and what I wanted. They have a variety of all kinds of machines there. Judy showed me around and took the time to make sure I was happy with the machine I picked. She gives lessons she is so knowledgeable and talented at sewing and embroidering. The store has lots of sewing needs. From rolling carts to put your machine in and embroidery designs to buy. Today, 5/6/24 I finally plugged the machine in to see if it even turned on and to my surprise it seems like it would work fine. I did chuckle a bit as there's a foot pedal to make it work. However, for what I'm thinking of using it for I believe it has more than I need as to options. Tomorrow I have an appointment with my massage therapist and will take the machine with so I can stop in and discuss the value of keeping it. Hopefully a sewing class will start soon and an opening will be available. I look forward to working with the two ladies I met.
