Philip Gissen: We strolled into Camacho’s on a sleepy Sunday afternoon in August, wanting to discover a true neighborhood bar. So much has changed in Walker’s Point since my glory years. I lament the loss of La Fuente, Felipe’s Place, where we partied the night before my daughter’s Bat Mitzvah, and Babalu, where I danced the light fantastic to Elvis Crespo and Cubanismo.Jessie was behind the bar at Camacho and treated us like old friends. Everyone was friendly, the music was fantastic, the drinks strong and reasonable. Camacho is the true definition of a place keeping the ideal of neighborhood alive. Trendy is nice. Neighborhood is necessary.

Gavin Lee: I really enjoyed the service and food! Unfortunately the ‘ automatic 18% service charge’ goes to the restaurant and not the waitress I had. Kristin D: Came here on a Friday night to get a drink before a play and it was hopping! The tables were packed with people, there was live music, servers hustling, whew. We sat at the bar and had to wait a little while to get an employee’s attention, but once we did, she made our drinks right away and got them to us quickly. My cocktail had fig and elderflower and honey and lemon and was delicious. We had already eaten, but the pizzas coming out of the kitchen looked good. It was fun to sit there and people watch, and we enjoyed browsing the art as we made our way to the theater in the same complex. It was a cold rainy night, and we appreciated that we could park underground and not have to go outside at all.Parking: We parked in the underground garage, which was a little pricey but very convenient. We had to drive down to the very lowest level, lot was pretty full, but it was a busy Friday night.

Dillan Koch: This is a great place to go for a first date between 6-10pm. It's not busy, the music wasn't too loud, and it has a very nice upscale comforting atmosphere. The staff was great, drinks were amazing with an average cocktail price of $12, and plenty of deals on beers, wines, margaritas, etc. They'll turn the music up at 9pm when it starts to get busier, and 10pm is when the main music event starts and it turns into a typical loud fun dance club. Both my date and I were very impressed. I highly recommend The Sofie!

Sydni Foley: This was the first bar I ever went to when I moved to Milwaukee, as was recommended by a friend, so it holds a special place in my heart. Very much a locals bar. Love bringing friends here because it is cozy and has live music on the weekends. Thoroughly enjoyed the one time I came and they had a three-piece funk band playing. Great place to see local talent! Drink prices are spot on.

Jcg Gee: Went here for the first time yesterday for a family members birthday. Not the best atmosphere at all. The place is kind of dark and the decor is really dated. But the service was great. Majority of The food items we selected to share were really good. The cocktails were amazing as well. I am not a huge fan of sharable plates. But I enjoyed the restaurant.

Joseph Henderson: Capital Grill is always one of my favorites. I love the service but for some reason I have been a little disappointed in their food. This round had lobster bisque and salmon with couscous. The lobster bisque was amazing. The salmon and couscous lacked flavor and salt. David Bonilla: Overall, this was an OK-at-best experience considering the expectations I had for the prices. As our app, we had the tuna tar-tar. It was served on a bed of avocado salad. We shared a 16oz bone-in Prime rib. The meat was cooked well as ordered, but also a bit bland. We had a side of broccoli which was very bland, no spices or sauces, just steamed broccoli. The mushrooms were also nothing to brag about. Drinks, the Antioxidant was very good, and my Makers old fashioned was very good as well. Oh, and we had 2 rounds of bread, first round was warmed Hawaiian rolls. Not what I'd expect from a steakhouse. Second round they did bring a nicer bread, which is more along what I'd expect. Overall, a decent experience, but can't consider it an option knowing how many places in the area are exceptionally amazing. Shoutout to the service and staff. Everyone was very friendly and on point.
