I only didn't like how I purchased $1750 earrings and they didnt give me any type of grading certificate other than a barely readable and off-center fax to my email a few days later.Cmon, guys...even Sam's Club gave a cool looking card and physical certificate so I can insure their stuff easy. Coming in later today to look around, see you there! Earn that 5th star from me, I wanna give it to you!

Some specifics:- They created a new sapphire ring using some stones from an old setting. Beautiful work.- They created a necklace for our daughter using a diamond from my Mom's wedding ring. Beautiful work.- General jewelry repairs. Done well, but I can't comment on the cost, which seemed reasonable at the time.- Old pocket watch repair. Done well by their now retired watchmaker. However, I didn't appreciate being lectured by him about proper watch maintenance. He could have explained himself in a far more diplomatic manner.- Recently took a couple of watches in for battery replacement. Done promptly. Unfortunately, I had the experience of working with an older guy whose customer skills need work. He was civil, but hardly courteous and wasn't friendly at all. I'm not that fussy, but I was definitely put off. My wife noticed his manner, too. I would have given them five stars if not for this.

Later, I made an appointment and I came in armed with saved post's from A Trio's Instagram page and Amy helped me make sense of it all. After we settled on a design, she used her experience and creativity to fine tune aspects of the ring to hit my budget without compromising the design. Every interaction was pleasant and respectful, especially when I was clearly in over my head. The end result couldn't have made us happier, she loves it and we get compliments all the time. A firm that not only offered repair services but also felt the importance in sharing their knowledge and skills to others.Upon arriving at the Jewelers Guild, my wife and I explained what we wanted done. While we were drawing up the paperwork to get my ring resized, they offered a free cleaning and evaluation of her engagement ring. Later, when we got to the point where we were discussing the time required for the repair and we mentioned that we were going on our 30th anniversary trip in just two days. If the repair would take longer than that, it would be no problem for us, but it may be a week or so before we could return and pick it up. After checking, they felt that they would be able to have the resizing done in time for our trip. I was amazed and excited to know it would ready in time for the trip.Shortly after the gentleman who had cleaned my wife’s ring returned. He pointed out that the 30 years of daily use had taken a toll on my wife’s ring. One of the prongs holding in the diamond was altogether missing and other prongs had deteriorated significantly. Upon learning that, we expected that we would have to wait until after our trip to have my wife’s ring repaired.To our astonishment, they said that, although they typically charge more for next day turnaround, they would complete both rings in one days’ time, at the original price quoted. It was clear they understood and appreciated our rings importance and wanted to be sure we had them in time for our trip.The next afternoon, we received the call to come in and pick up our rings. When we arrived to pick them up, we were delighted to see the care and craftsmanship that went into the repairs. My ring looked as good as the day it was first purchased and it fit perfectly. It was impossible to tell that the ring had been made 2 sizes larger. My wife’s wedding ring was also repaired with the same care attention to detail. It gave us great assurance knowing that the diamond was again properly mounted and was ready for the next 30 years of use. Best of all, we had them both rings in time for our trip.I simply cannot say enough about the Jewelers guild. Their craftsmanship and helpful friendly service exceeded our every explication. Now, if I am ever asked about where to go for jewelry repair or unique, one of a kind jewelry, I have place that I can confidently recommend to everyone I know.
