Erik Kakulis: This Milwaukee county Park is a gem in the city! Nestled on the banks of the Milwaukee river, this park provides a great way to get away from urban life and to see how nature can interact with the urban landscape. Having the Urban ecology Center right next door is also a great plus! Definitely worth a visit!
Aislinn L: Beautiful space especially to bike or walk around. The fall leaves make a perfect cover if you need to spitefully kick your partner down and bury the body. Or you could also just enjoy it together! The Urban ecology center does programs with the schools nearby so you might see groups or kiddos on scavenger hunts.

Pattie Hicks: Had a nice picnic at this park. The setting is beautiful. There is a large green space, shady picnic tables and a large playground for the little ones. There is a giant Linden Tree which was in bloom and the flowers smelled amazing.

Lea Brusha: Beautiful small neighborhood park located steps from Lake Michigan. The park is filled with old amazing oak trees, and it gives the feeling of an enchanted forest. Its the perfect park for relaxing on a picnic blanket, playing catch or having lunch. The playground equipment is geared towards younger children and is fantastic. They have swings, a slide and also monkey bars. The park is super clean and they offer plenty of park benches throughout. If in the area, I recommend visiting. The park is dog friendly.

Michael Hunter: A surprising space in the city. Nice for strolling and jogging.
Ras Maurice McCutcheon: Part of the hank aaron state trail. A beautiful trail that is being maintained by the urban ecology center and good Samaritans. Love to live by here to have a perfect place to exercise.

4worldlovers: The Menomonee Valley Community Park is part of the Menomonee Valley Industrial Center near American Family Field. Spread over 45 acres, there are two miles of trails, restored native prairies, savannas, and forests. The Hank Aaron State Trail runs through the park and connects it to Three Bridges Park and the Silver City neighborhood to the south.

People of the Road, a sculptural work honoring the Milwaukee Road workers, was designed by Richard Taylor and honors and celebrates the thousands of Milwaukee Road workers who worked in the Menomonee River Valley from 1848 to 1985. The Friends of Hank Aaron State Trail installed this public art monument to invigorate the space and engage the community in its history. It creates a recognizable landmark, and links the landscape to the history, architecture, and social fabric of Milwaukee.
Taylor is a native of Milwaukee, with commissioned work located around the country. He has worked with many organizations over the years to integrate his sculptural work into specific settings. People of the Road was inspired by actual pictures of Milwaukee Road workers from the Milwaukee Road Archives.

People sometimes have items stolen from cars at area dog parks including Granville, Muttland Meadows and Katherine Kearney Carpenter dog park. Thieves take items including credit cards and VERY quickly start using them.HIDE VALUABLES + LOCK YOUR CAR - and tell others to do the same! If everyone does this thieves will stop targeting areas like this.
Steve Bertman: Great dog park for dogs to get a natural experience. Rolling hills and woods and the river, endless stuff for doggo to explore. Wear your mud shoes if you come here and walk the trails, especially after rain. Be respectful and pick up all trash, human and dog! Let's keep this place a great experience for our petsDog-friendliness: It's a dog park!
Jim Pfarr: We've been going to this park on and off for 6 years and really enjoy it. Lots of trails and hills, perfect for an active dog to run around and get exercise. It can get muddy, and the area by the creek will tend to be swampy, but our dog loves to get in the water and we enjoy the seats and shade. Beware of ticks in the spring, and mosquitoes as expected through the warm months. Please support the park and pay your entry fee or become a member.
