Wisconsin Conservatory of Music: what do users think?

Scott Nehring: So far so good. Excellent instructor.

Jimi Sellars: I used to get Tortured in there regularly. lolI study there off and on for Guitar, song writing, music composition. Always good teachers! Great old historic building as well.

Brent Miller: Way to go Annie B.This is my “first ever” Google review and it is written for Annie B and the Milwaukee Music Academy.I’m in my late 50s and in search of a local guitar instructor; I played as a teenager before life got in the way. I returned recently and managed to knock off the cobwebs by myself and improved beyond my previous level. However, I eventually understood I needed an outside musical influence to grow beyond my own frame of reference. My initial search for a teacher, a web-based service, matched me with Annie B. After our first conversation, I concluded that she was a bit too far away to make that weekly trip; would have spent twice as much time commuting than in actual instruction. Due to the distance, she could not help me directly, but she used her social media presence to find someone local for me to investigate. Within 12 hours she relayed back, 4 people she trusted in my area.I’ve since linked up with one of those people and I will take my first lesson today. In a way, I kind of wish she were closer because she was very helpful and personable. I think we would have worked well together. Thanks again Annie and remember, this is my “first ever” google review, posted for you!

John Graham: Excellent instructor and beautiful building.

김미정: Really professional and kind, loving instructors they have. The lecture has made big differences. I definitely recommend WCM!

Laura Brusky: My daughter is taking drumming classes with Ms Shiner and he is a awesome teacher! She has special needs and she has limited understanding of music and cannot read or write but he can find a easy way for her to learn different rhythms and memorize them and also have fun!

Wujie Zhang: every time.

Liddie Collins: I am really having an enjoyable journey learning the violin. My instructor J. Steinbart keeps it interesting and fun. There is a lot to learn and my structor is breaking it down and making it learnable. !!!

Brian Peterson: Beautiful building and wonderful staff!

Matt Starr: to adults. There are classes for many different instruments. If you sign up for personal lessons, they run sessions each season which also includes some type of performance you will be able to perform at. During the time of COVID-19, they have shifted to the option to do remote lessons over Zoom. They have scholarships to provide opportunities to those who would not otherwise have the ability to pay.

Eli Kelling: Amazing people!

debra hardiman: Studied jazz theory and jazz piano with the great Tony King and Martha Artis. The music lives on!#foreverlearning

Milwaukee Music Academy: what do users think?

Marie Bye: I was a little unsure of what to expect when I signed up for vocal lessons; taking singing lessons was on my bucket list. My fears quickly dissolved once I met Annie. She has a way of making you feel immediately valued and brings the best out of you. Her positive energy is contagious.

Sam Feierday: is belting out songs with confidence and sounds amazing! Annie not only has her singing beautifully, but she has helped my daughter gain a confidence and appreciation for music. My daughter is in drama courses and has been in musicals at our local theatre, and her singing ability is praised by anyone who hears her. Annie expresses a positive attitude with her students, and we absolutely recommend her as a teacher for anyone interested in voice lessons!

Lindsay Whaleysmith: I hired Annie for my 16 year old daughter who was interested in learning guitar. I am not a musician myself, so this was not an easy task! Wow were we lucky to find Annie! Not only is she an excellent, practicing musician, she is a wonderful teacher who loves her students. My daughter had her first lesson one year ago and is now confident enough to play her favorite music on her own. I couldn’t recommend her more.

Angel Fontanez: I started taking guitar lessons after I retired. Annie is a phenomenal instructor. She started me out with the fundamentals, and lately, I've progressed to learning to play lead guitar. I love how patient she is and her great "you can do it" attitude. I highly recommend Annie!

Jason S: Annie is great, she always has an energetic and positive attitude. If anybody is able to teach your child it would be her. We had her help teach my daughter piano and we highly recommend her.

Amanda Miess: I went to Annie for vocal lessons for a few months and had a wonderful experience. Before even starting she took stock of what my goals were to center lesson planning around them. The lessons themselves were very efficient and targeted. She helped improve my range and overall skill leading to more confidence with my vocals. I will definitely go back someday when if and when I hit another wall with my singing!

Leo Woodwind: . She's extremely encouraging and thoughtful, which has led me to change things about my life that have made me really happy and excited! In short, our lessons have become a highlight of my week. :

Nate Carnovale: If you are a beginner musician just starting out, or an advanced musician looking to target specific skills, there is no better place to go than the Milwaukee Music Academy with Annie B! Annie brings a passion, excitement, and energy to teaching music that is unmatched! She is continuously adding new techniques to teaching to make learning more effective, and to make lessons more fun!I have been taking voice lessons with Annie for the past six months, and they have been incredible. During that time, I’ve had the incredible opportunity to join a local, regional cover band as a lead guitarist. With the skills, techniques, and confidence I’ve obtained from voice lessons with Annie, I’ve gotten the opportunity to sing lead vocals on multiple songs with the band too! Annie has tailored my lessons to help guide me in my goals with the band as well as my overall musician goals and my vocal technique as a whole.I’ve heard much about her story as a musician. Her background in music is one of passion and determination, and it is no surprise that it has grown to the greatness it is today. She has much experience in writing music and live performance too and her real-world experience with music makes her that much better as an instructor. I am lucky to have found Annie, and I believe it would be a mistake to miss out on the opportunity to learn from her!

Rachael Gluckman: Annie B is an amazing teacher. I am an adult learning guitar for keeping my brain healthy and enjoyment purposes and she understands this and teaches me at this level. She is knowledgeable about all aspects of guitar and music in general and is approachable and kind when I need to ask questions. Annie Definitely deserves all the stars possible and more.

Jourdan Laik: , Annie has helped me learn my instrument in ways I thought I couldn't. Within the first two months, I produced two songs that I am very proud of!Annie is a true musician who is deeply interested in your own path as a musician. While disciplined, she's anything but rigid. She is fun and one of the most positive people you'll meet.

Mark Van Handel: Annie is teaching guitar to my elementary schooler. She brings real enthusiasm, patience, and great technique to the lessons. She's also great to work with in all the planning and scheduling.

Bao: I love Annie! She is very passionate about her work and pushes you to reach your own goals! Her energy and enthusiasm is unmatched! She has helped me develop further as a singer by providing insightful advice and techniques. I have been very satisfied with my lessons with Annie thus far, and I highly recommend her!

TJ: Annie is a great teacher. I've learned more in 6 months from her than anywhere else. She is very encouraging and helps instill confidence in your abilities. She understands the techniques and knows what songs to use to help me learn what changes I need to make to improve.

Margaret Doyle: Don't hesitate to take guitar/uke lessons from Paul. He's great and taught me a lot in a short time.

Camila Szarek: Great place to learn music. Teachers teach very well and make sure the students understand.

KÁLIAH: Positive:ProfessionalismI have been taking guitar lessons from Lena Vinz for about 9 years now and I absolutely love learning with her!! My knowledge and skills as a musician have grown tremendously through her teachings, would most definitely recommend!!!

Kliff McBurtney: Positive:ProfessionalismConservatory Quality without conservatory prices! Be Sound is the Best!

Erik Kakulis: Spectacular instruction from some of the best music teachers in Milwaukee. Highly recommended!

Underwood Baptist Church: Be Sound's faculty are quality educators and top notch musicians. The studio is both serene and passion filled.Paul Terrien is a gem. He has been the Praise Band director here at Underwood for 14 years and we couldn't be happier, not only with his musicianship but also his professionalism and inclusiveness, leading members to highlight their skills.

C Johnson: Paul is a fantastic guitar instructor! My son was 7 when he started lessons, and Paul makes the classes fun for the kids and is very patient as the kids not only learn the music but are doing so as they are still learning to read. Highly recommend!

Jeremy Copperman: , who had bounced around between different music teachers and instruments for the past 6 years, immediately settled in and blossomed with Julie. Within 1 month his bad habits were on the mend

Natalie K Ricciardi: I have been taking vocal lessons with Julie since December 2016 and it is hard to tell just how different my voice feels.. in the best way! No more sore hoarse throat after singing a set! Going to the studio every week to sing and work on songs is something I look forward to and is a much needed catharsis. I feel welcome, accepted, and challenged by my lessons. If you have goals for your voice Julie is the person to go to- she is discerning, experienced in her craft, and the rates for classes are affordable.

Mistress Malora: I can finally sing!! Be Sound Music has the most amazing music teacher I've ever had-everything is easy to understand and I'm always motivated to practice and return. Every time I go to lessons I leave with something new and exciting to practice. I would have never been able to do this alone-there are so many things that you don't even know you don't know! Julie taught me it all. I LOVE BE SOUND!

melissa joy bollow tempel: My daughters were taking music and voice lessons with a local musician just for fun, when he moved out of town and he recommended Julie. We could not be happier! Since beginning with Julie my teenaged daughters have become more confident and comfortable performing for an audience and they sound SO much better. Makes me think that maybe I could become a decent singer if I took from singing lessons from Julie! Hah, just kidding!!!One thing I love about Julie is that she records my daughters singing and sends me the recordings via email. I love having “souvenirs” of their progress.Julie is very talented and she has so much experience performing for years in and around Milwaukee, teaching private lessons, and teaching higher education. Her rates are reasonable and her hours are flexible. Her studio location is convenient and close to a lot of stores and restaurants and the East Library, so parents, you can get your errands done or have some nice “me time” while your kids are having their lessons. The practice space is a beautiful and spacious, you can also sit and watch or read a book while you wait.Julie is also welcoming to everyone, from any background or beliefs, gender or sexuality. At her recitals we see her students are all unique and she is able to cater to their musical interests and styles. I really appreciate that about her and I think you will too.

Fred Astaire Dance Studios - Milwaukee: what do users think?

Cassie Cosgrove: My fiancé and I took father/daughter and mother/son dance lessons here. We did two 40 minutes lessons back to back and time flew by. I wasn’t sure what to expect but we had a ton of fun. Our instructors Natalie and Sodo were phenomenal. They went at our pace, taught us a few styles of dance, and then worked on applying some of that to the songs we had picked up. I highly recommend coming here if you are looking for lessons for a wedding dance!

Kelly Schad: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,ValueMy fiance and I began dance lessons for our wedding at Fred Astaire. We have found the lessons to be exciting, professional and a great activity for our date nights. The staff at FA are welcoming, friendly and energetic. We'll be continuing with the dances, social parties and hopefully, competitions.

Barbara Collignon: I've been a student at the Milwaukee studio for 10 years now and have enjoyed lessons, parties, balls and competitions. I can honestly say that the last 10 years have been among the most fun of my life-- thanks to the wonderful professional teachers at FADS!

Edward Burr: My last 2 years at Fred Astaire have been a dream! I started dancing kind of as a joke. I was traveling to Brazil for my friends wedding and thought I'd learn to Samba in a couple months to prepare. What I found was an energetic and supportive community of like-minded individuals. Positive, supportive, and understanding. And that's just the other students. The instructors are even better. You will not regret your time here. You will feel uncomfortable but you will get past it and on the other side is an unparalleled sense of confidence. And you'll look great doing it!

Timothy Wade: but also interact with the staff. The staff is fun to work with and they keep you focused on whatever dance or routine you are doing. I would recommend going to Fred Astaire because learning the dances and routines will keep you fit and get to interact with staff that enjoy what they do and wants you to have as much fun as they do.

Kate Lorenz: Dancing at Fred Astaire of Milwaukee is more than dancing. It's like a wonderful party every time I walk through the door. Wonderful teachers and staff. Amazing fellow students who have become dear friends. And invigorating learning that is good for brain and body, all while smiling from ear to ear throughout each lesson. I walk out tired but very, very happy!

Tracy Kaebisch: . We'll be taking a break for a while but will probably be back soon.Overall, highly recommend if you like to dance or want to learn!

Judith Fritz: If I could share the most important experience, although there are and have been many that have come from FADS Milwaukee, is that I couldn't have chosen more qualified and wonderful teachers/instructors and staff to help make come true my passion for dance. Everyone shares a passion and dedication for dance and they pass their gift and talent down to each and every student. You can't help but feel the Joy and enthusiasm when you walk in the studio. At FADS Milwaukee I have met so many wonderful people, all who have and are accomplishing so much having come to this studio.

Rachel Kass: We have been having an amazing time and learning so many things. We started at once a week and now love it so much we are in 4 times a week :D Shout out to our amazing coaches Brandon and Jade and the rest of the FADS crew who have made us feel right at home.

scott bicknell: Very professional and enjoyable place. All the staff know are a pleasure to be aroundNo matter how mood you are in when you arrive you always leave feeling happy

Mark Phillips: I feel free when I dance! There's nothing like dancing to a piece o music that you love. The staff is wonderful and the owner is awesome. As long as my Wife continues to smile, I'll be good with it! I Love our studio & instructors! This has been an amazing journey thus far.

Dana Phillips: Me and my husband came to learn one dance and 7 years later we are still dancing. Ballroom dancing is truly an art. Our instructors make learning the art of ballroom dancing fun and fulfilling. Dancing has given us so many wonderful memories. And the is staff is the best .

BillWFranksjr0909: It is always a pleasure to go to dance practice! Michelle is always so nice and always gets exactly what you need. The talent there is simply amazing! The instructions are not only very pleasant to talk with, but they are the best dancers in the US! It is my honest pleasure to be part of this "family"

Justin Cramer: . They are patient and will work as a team to ensure that concepts, patterns and choreography is understood. They have enabled me and my wife to compete nationally against other amateurs. They have trained others to compete on the professional level. But the most important thing is that they keep it fun so you keep coming back for the challenge.

Muhammad Abdulaziz: Lovely group of instructors, They support and always push you to do better.

Kelly R: The atmosphere is fun and inclusive. The socials are very good

Jason Lau: What are you waiting for?? JOIN and START your salsa/bachata journey!!! The affordable first month deal makes it easy to try and you don't need a partner! You rotate and meet everyone anyways which is my favorite part! Everyone has their own unique feel and touch and that's what makes it fun.Whether you are a total beginner or have danced before, you will find fun, engaging classes to learn combos or further solidify fundamentals.Aside from the classes, you will also find a vibrant community of people from all walks of life who are passionate about dance and growing together.I am sad to be leaving Milwaukee, but I am so grateful to have found my people, as well as myself, at this studio. I hope you will too. Best wishes!

Katherine Frances M. Wilson: Josh and Amber have done an excellent job supporting the Latin dance community in Milwaukee. Daync Academy is a great spot to social dance. The floor was smooth, the room stayed cool the entire time, and people were so nice.

Blu Jo: Excellent teachers! Grand time attending the social.

ejk2911: They don't really focus on technique. Just a bunch of turn patterns. At the end of the class everyone is usually doing their own thing. But it's nice that they teach a lot of dance patterns. Most places are stingy with turn patterns.

Zoraida Salcedo: Great music, great people, love to the art of dancing, great ventilation.People that come really love to dance and the ambience is awesome. Love not having to deal with drunk people——I love going to Daync, the space is awesome, very well ventilated, the good to dance is super comfortable. The DJs they bring are really good, super great music. They have built an amazing community, super safe to dance and the level is great. The performances they bring are breath taking.I wish they were closer and I was able to go more often.

Leslie Gibbs: Nice space, great space for a nice gathering of up to 80 people

Nestor Murillo: The instructors care about you and your dance journey. Highly recommend if you want to learn bachata or salsa!

Jose Carrasco: Friendly environment, a lot of practice and effective repetition. I always have fun and time flies!

Rebecca Augustine: This is our night we look forward to weekly! We love the "family " of wonderful and supportive friends that we have made here all while gaining a skill and appreciation for Latin dance from Josh and Amber. They are so patient, kind and give clear and concise dance instruction mixed with lots of humor! Such an outstanding approach and it makes Daync studio the best studio we have ever studied through!

Tanya E: Wauwatosa School of music has taught my son so much! He initially joined for the purpose of learning how music theory works and how it is utilized in different music genres, but left knowing so much more. My son loves to play the guitar but after Wauwatosa School of music he has grown to love the piano as well. He had a smile on his face after every lesson with Ryan. I would highly recommend!

Janice Burch: I recently took lessons to learn ukelele from instructor Ryan Johnson. He gave me everything I needed to continue learning on my own time, and come back for more advanced instruction. I highly recommend the Wauwatosa School of Music and Ryan, for anyone who wants to learn ukele, guitar or any instrument--- no matter what your age or level of experience. Thanks Ryan!

Kindy Anderson: is super helpful and nice. My son has been taking drum lessons since the summer with Jonathon and he’s the best! He’s so good with kids and has a way of teaching that builds confidence while still making it super fun. My son is a big fan!

Randy Lee: Highly recommend

Karri Tait: Both my boys love Wauwatosa School of Music! We thoroughly enjoy watching the school put on their concerts, as well!

Andrea Schulz: My daughter has been going to the Wauwatosa School of Music for 6 years now, taking guitar and piano lessons. She absolutely loves it there!!! Her progress has been amazing and we can't say enough nice things about the owner Cory. The school also provides a summer camp teaching song writing and the workings of recording in a studio environment which my daughter also attended. The school also provides opportunities for the kids to play in front of audiences at different locations around the city; Tosa Fest, Mo's Irish Pub, Steaming Cup, Hart Fest, etc... I guarantee your child will thrive and enjoy every second of their lessons here at this music school. I fully recommend the Wauwatosa School of Music to anyone!!!

Jenny Wagner: We love Wauwatosa School of Music! It's great seeing my 10-year old pick up and learn songs from Weezer, the Beatles, and the White stripes on his electric guitar! The concerts have been very fun to attend, to see all the kids have a moment in the spotlight! The instructors are interested in the kids and flexible so the kids can also participate in their other sports activities. Highly recommend.

Stacy Ryan: I have always wanted to learn to play the guitar and at 42 years old I began taking privat lessons with Cory at the Wauwatosa School of Music. It has been a fantastic experience. My now 10 year old son began taking lessons with Cory at the same time and has since surpassed me in his skills! 😀 You get to pick what songs and types of music you want to play and they create the sheet music to match or challenge your skill level. My son especially loves that they offer multiple public performances throughout the year to show off his skills. He gets to be a real rock star. In addition to guitar, they offer voice, percussion, piano and other string instrument lessons. I fully endorse this business.

Sabree 3: Can't say enough about this school. Cory is an awesome instructor. Students learn cool songs as well as curriculum based material. The performance are great.

Serena Clardie: is a priceless one. This is the place to go if you want to see an interest in music blossom and skills develop.

Calvin D: Our 7 daughter started piano lessons with Bethany at the Wauwatosa School of Music over a year ago. She has loved going to every single piano lesson and is always excited to show us what she has learned. Cory's approach to teaching music, in the language of each child, is fantastic. We're excited to see our daughter progress through music as well as other instruments and love supporting a home-grown business that is doing a great job.

Melanie Hinchey: The staff is extremely helpful. I've always gotten amazing customer service.

Julieann Fields: Ben was amazing. Went in for a trombone, no hassles, he listened, knew his stuff and was so professional. Excellent customer service. Highly recommend!!!!

Brett Pride: were the only store to have the ukulele strings I was searching for!

Sean Wiler: We've used Brass Bell for all our student band needs, and it's always been a great experience. They are super friendly and helpful and have always made sure we have exactly what we need. The store is also a beautiful space. I believe they offer lessons for certain instruments as well. Definitely recommend for band student services, or if you're maybe just looking to get back into playing the bass again!😄Update: still friendly, still helpful, still awesome 👍

Naomi Flores: All the staff are great. Ben was especially helpful and kind! The store has tons of great instruments for great prices!

too many phils: I went here to check the condition on my cello as i'm looking to sell it. John had a string tech take a look and she was quick and knowledgeable, explaining what she saw. John then explained what they can offer as well as what my options were outside of selling to them.I left with a clear picture of how to move forward, as I had no clue how to go about selling my cello. They were extremely helpful.

Erik Lindenberg: !

Bella Ratayczak: Very nice products. It's a pretty small store so there isn't much selection, however the atmosphere is great! They also have ukulele lessons which are very informative. They also occasionally host small concerts which are very entertaining to listen/watch.

Kathleen Schilz: Very polite, knowledgeable, and efficient. Great music store!

Steve Witte: Blake at Brass Bell Music was very helpful in finding a repair part for my 1970 vintage King trombone. I know it took a fair amount of his time for this small sale amount.

Trevor Mooney: I drove up from Kenosha to get a double bass rental. Ben and his staff went above and beyond - thanks!!

CC F: I just had to quick write a review for Brass Bell. I was in town for a music festival where my kids were scheduled to play. I had forgotten a super important music book and they had it in stock, but unfortunately it was after store hours. They stayed open and let me drive over 20 mins after closing and had a smile and continued to be helpful. We are all set now for festival! Thank you again for going above and beyond for your customers.

Michele Y: Staff so nice when I had issues with a recent purchase. They actually helped me out it together when I couldn’t find the screws. THATS great service that sets one shop apart from the rest!

John High: Always a pleasant experience! Meeting the musical needs of the community and schools for many years.

Doug Boduch Guitar Lessons: what do users think?

Amy Hackel Van Ells: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,ValueMy husband and I have been very impressed with the rate at which my daughter has been learning the guitar. Mr. Doug is a wonderful, enthusiastic and motivating teacher.

Amy Scheidt: We highly recommend guitar lessons with Doug! My son has been taking lessons for 3 years and started with him at age 8. Doug knows just how to work with the little ones; he keeps them interested and motivated. He explains in a way that they understand what to do! He has great tips on the best way to practice at home. I wouldn’t go anywhere else!

Justin Choy: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,QualityDoug is a patient teacher and a kind soul, in the 5 years I learned from him he always had been willing to go the extra mile to help his students learn and love the guitar. Couldn’t find a better teacher.

Dina Borysenko: My 13 y.o. daughter has been taking guitar lessons with Doug for over a year now. She really enjoys her lessons and progressed quite nicely. Doug offers her to play various music taking into account her interests. He praises her often and we also enjoy listening to her playing. Doug is great at communicating with us, he is always prompt and accommodating to my daughter's busy school and sports schedule.

Korinthian Violins LLC: what do users think?

Kevin: She encouraged me to learn the violin as an adult completely new to music who walked into the shop by chance. A different, less positive interaction would have had me leave the shop without a second thought but because of her I've been learning for several months and been loving it. The rental prices are also incredibly reasonable.

Dennis Gallaher: A great place to get a string instrument

Jeff Coleman: Good place to get a bow haired

Ethan myles: I have never had a bad experince with kori after all the times that I had to do somthing reating to violins I all ways go to kori. this is the best place to purchese and rent violins from in milwaukee

Nell E: The owner was amazing!! She was able to answer all of our questions. She really seems to care about the student development and not just selling the most expensive stuff. The store is wonderfully unique! Definitely worth checking out. They are appointment only and that is so worth it!

Dick's Bass: Kory is great and is hyper focused in customer service

Mike S: She knows her stuff!! We had a cello that made vibrating sounds, she found a few seams letting loose that had been repaired by another company. She also spent time with us explaining bows and strings that would work well together. Highly recommend.

Jamie Hofman: You're in good hands with Kory!

Allie S: Excellent customer service!! Very knowledgeable and helpful, thank you so much!

Brandy Sumner: Kori was really helpful when I visited. My violin had been neglected for a bit and needed some TLC, and her work was great. My violin's as good as new.
