Elle Armstrong-Cochrane: is passionate about some of the nerdiest stuff possible, and if they can’t help you with something, they’ll figure out who can, even if it’s another store. Play spaces are clean and well-lit, and it’s a fairly diverse crowd that comes in.The big draw here is the community and play spaces - people are friendly, there’s usually someone painting or doing hobby stuff, and they try to host regular game nights for some of their bigger games, along with a hobby night. They also are awesome about trying to connect people for games - I’ve played everything from Battlefleet Gothic to SPQR there, and people have been interested in new games if someone is demoing them. I’ve also never felt uncomfortable there - it can be really hard to find gaming and nerd spaces that are female, queer, or trans-friendly, but they’re fantastic about fostering a fun, open, and safe environment.Their Facebook and Discord communities are good for scheduling, and they tend to run several organized play leagues during a given year, with a mix of store-run and patron-run options. People also seem to like trying new games. Parking is still pretty bad, but on-street parking and being willing to move if you need to can really help mitigate it.
Erik Stonecipher: Fantastic little shop. Great selection for MTG, Warhammer, and much more. Been frequenting recently and every employee I've met has been not only friendly but fantastic to chat with. As multiple have said, the store is a passion product and it shows. Full recommend.{Only thing to watch out for is the parking lot is small and the employees may ask you to move your car, as the neighboring stores guard their spots fiercely. Street parking may be required.}

Jenna Starck: First time attending an Admirals game! Our group had a blast! The Admirals competed great and the overall production of the event was a well oiled machine, especially during intermissions. We sat on the glass and very much enjoyed the crowd too! Would highly recommend for all ages.

Jamie Mosley: My son began working out with the BRX team 19 months ago. Since he started, he's gained 55 pounds through the conditioning program along with nutrition recommendations from staff members. He's gained approximately 10 mph in his throwing velocity since beginning the throwing program nine months ago. We're excited about the direction he is trending thanks to the expertise of the BRX staff.

Kristy Plassmeyer: Since starting the program, our son has gained weight and muscle mass, which were some of the goals. He's started the throwing program and doesn't have pain anymore when he throws. He looks forward to his workouts as he really enjoys the structure and accountability.
Melissa Mcdonald: Connor has really improved his speed and agility. He was struggling to recover post knee aurgery and the team at BRX was really helpful and friendly. Connor finally got the help he needed to get back into sports.

Dan Paulsrud: Since starting the BRX performance program I have watched our son gain confidence in his speed and agility but also his overall arm strength has increased. He's been confident on the mound in baseball but seeing his speed increase and knowing we're focusing on technique and also protecting his arm doing arm care and rehab days has been great to watch. Knowing he knows how to take good care of his arm so he's not damaging it for the future.

Our Riverside Park branch is located at Milwaukee County's Riverside Park between the Riverwest and East Side communities, one of the most populated and diverse areas in Milwaukee.
The “green” building that houses our main offices, resource areas and classrooms is home to live animals, informational exhibits and user-friendly resource materials about the environment. Riverside Park includes 15 acres of wooded land and riparian habitat on the east bank of the Milwaukee River and an imaginative habitat-themed playground. This historic park is full of things to discover inside and out.
Visit Milwaukee County Transit System's website and use the Google Trip Planner to get door to door directions to your Riverside Park location by bus! We are located along the Green line express route. Get off the bus at Park Place (2600 block of Oakland). Walk west on Park Place for two blocks. The Urban Ecology Center will be on the right.
The Urban Ecology Center is located on the Oak Leaf Recreational Trail. Take the trail from the south past North Avenue. You will see our building on your right; it's the one with an observation tower. From the North take the trail past Locust Street and Riverside High School. Check out the following link for a map of the Oak Leaf Recreational Trail for options from your location.

Surrounded by nature and strongly committed to environmentally sustainable practices, the venue combines warm wooden tones with a modern twist. In addition to the beautiful forest grove for ceremonies - there is a striking walking bridge and observation tower that provide great opportunities for photos and frivolity! It is the perfect background for wedding celebrations!
caitlin carlson: This was the most breathtaking place we could've ever imagined getting married at! The colors of trees and overall forest feel gave us the most perfect magic forest wedding! The team was really helpful in making sure the day went perfectly. The ability to not only decorate the whole space but have the freedom to bring your own vendors was amazing! Lots of places lock you in to a crazy expensive meal/drink plan. So the fact they don't is underrated!The inside of the building is almost as beautiful as the venue it's located on! The slides were a huge hit with kids and adults alike! The 2 levels were also great for balcony viewing and space to really spread out and dance!
Karina Schafer: Rented the Urban Ecology Center for a memorial recently and the location, the facilities and the staff were spectacular! I was so grateful for their outstanding help. They really went out of their way and it was so appreciated! Also, love to just visit the space in my day-to-day life. We are so lucky to have them in our neighborhood! Cara Bell: We had our wedding reception here in October and cannot express just how perfect this venue is.From the start, Facility Rentals & Events Manager MaryBeth was extremely helpful and informative, helping us coordinate with vendors and laying out the floorplan.They allowed us to execute the simple, elegant wedding we envisioned while being in line with their environmental mission as best we could.We nearly had to switch our ceremony location to the UEC due to weather conditions, and while we did not go through with that, MaryBeth was extremely flexible and willing to help us make things work despite the last minute changes.The result of the evening was magical, supported by their wonderful staff. We would recommend the UEC to anyone looking for an awesome wedding!
Sandi Landowski: Beautiful, accessible nature trails. Accessible building with local reptiles to look at. Nice venue for gathering or weddings. It was especially lovely with the fall colors. Various programs to get involved, including crafts, adult evening walks and drinks, sewing, etc.
Lore Lisheron: Awesome community oriented facility. Great place for kids to learn about conservation in an urban setting.
Ken Schmitz-Lammers: We recently had our wedding with about 34 guests at Urban Ecology Center. The actual ceremony was outside by their fire pit area and the reception was indoors on the second floor. As it was beginning of August we were able to be outdoors to enjoy the beautiful surroundings that the area provides. There were plenty of great places for photos, a great overlook tower with a view of the city, and a wrap around balcony to hang out. Even though we had catering, there was a fully-stocked kitchen available to us if needed. On the evening of the wedding there were two employees to assist with any last-minute details, and leading up to the event various staff were very friendly and helpful.We also knew that our rental fee for the space would be utilized to support the mission of Urban Ecology Center and its programs, which is a big plus compared to other wedding venues. We live close to the UEC so will continue to enjoy the grounds as we always so, but would definitely recommend the Center for any gatherings.
John Contreras: This is an incredible place to visit if you're into hiking and adventuring. What's really nice about this location is you can direct access to the river and some great photo ops. Definitely recommend bringing friends and family here.

Beverly K: I could complain about how the Brewers played, but can't complain about the field. Had third row seats behind home plate and preferred parking. The facility is clean and maintained. Parking has attendants to keep traffic flowing. Security keeps the crowd moving. You can bring in a sealed bottle of water. The roof was closed because of rain, and it was comfortable.
