Unfortunately the school was out of stock. ID definitely go again. She had my fave so soft. It was up there with some of the best facials I've ever had.

Liz Dean: A stressful Wednesday evening left me wanting a pick-me-up on Thursday. I didn't want to eat my emotions at the Public Market, so instead I looked up nail salons in the area to splurge on something relaxing. I'm so glad I found Nula La. Kara was wonderful. I was able to get a quick question answered through the Nula La facebook page and the online booking was super easy. Kara and Ann are wonderful women that make you feel so welcome in their comfortable loft space. The shellac manicure I got is perfection. My hands haven't been so well treated in ages. Kara is meticulous about how your nails look and wants you to be happy leaving her shop. I don't get manicures regularly, it's a once and while splurge. But I might have to make it a more semi-regular thing now. I couldn't be happier with my experience.

Christina Jackson: **Update**I returned to nail bar for another pedicure. Much better results. Amy did an excellent job. Atmosphere and aesthetic were still on par and service was excellent. I would also like to point out that they offered me a free pedicure after my last visit and honored their promise. I truly appreciate hood customer service above all else.Cute concept. Loved the atmosphere, and the nail yech was really nice. But after I got home and really took a close look at my pedicure, it was mediocre at best. I would probably give them another chance to change my mind, though.

Taylor Wood: We used nail bar for our wedding. Myself and my bridesmaids went the morning before my wedding and everyone loved their nails. They were easy to work with for a large group and the nail artists all did a fantastic job. The video is from the day of and photos are about 2 weeks out. I got a no chip mani and pedi and even now almost 3 weeks later, other than the grow out my nails still look just as fantastic. Would definitely recommend.

Tatum Matlock: I come here a lot so I thought I would finally post a review. This place is great the majority of the nail artists are very good at what they do. I can't speak for everyone there but if you like perfection I can vouch for Mary, Christine, Ben, Sunny, and Tracy. I think Sunny and Tracy only do manicures, not pedis. And if I want nail art or dip/acrylic I'd go to Ben or Sunny. I am sure there are other good artists there but I don't know them all - read the reviews and call to make an appointment with one of those people if you want to have a great experience. The service is really great and everyone is always really nice, but sometimes they get extremely busy. Avoid any hiccups by making an appointment and/or not going during the 5-7pm rush on weekdays if possible. They can usually always get you in if you call the morning of. Shawnie Emem: Tokara is my nail tech and has been for a few years now. Bijou is a safe place and I trust the nail techs in training from Advanced Nail Tech Academy. My nails are always what I envisioned them to be and if I don't have a clue, Tokara is magic when she just does her own thing. This is a place where I can get my synergy gel set and know that I am not being played by another tech labeling an acrylic powder as gel and charging extra for it. Tokara actually does gel full sets and I love them more than acrylic, powder, and polygel. The Bijou Nails and Company environment is professional and growing. So find them on Styleseat or stop by on a Saturday to treat yourself.

The salon was amazing at scheduling and accommodating a larger group plus knew the exact type of "spa party" we were looking for! They offers us different wines and allowed us to bring in our own champagne! As for the service, the girls got a variety of no-chip or regular mani's or pedi's and everyone was very satisfied. The salon has a great selection of colors, plenty of stations and everything looked sanitary. Tristen Vaughn: I scheduled to have a Mani done for this past Saturday with Sona. Friday night I decided that I wanted to add a Mani. I sent her a message and she immediately accommodated me. As I was getting my Mani from Sammy, I commented on how I liked her nail color. She said it was the powder dip. I was surprised to hear that they had powder dip. This had only been my 3rd visit. So I ended up getting powder dip instead of Shellac. I love the color of my toes and fingers!

Anne Siegel: Osher rocks! In preparation for teaching a Zoom class to elementary school children in French, I contacted one of the Osher members and received some specialized tools for moving forward with my project. Her 'tips' helped me lead the virtual class with a minimal amount of missteps. I gained a lot of confidence after working individually with Laurie, as well as attending her regular Zoom tutorials for all Osher members. Love the variety of programs, too!

Marvin Wiener: The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at UWM is an adult learning extension of UW Milwaukee that has brought learning experiences to many intellectually curious senior citizens in the greater Milwaukee area. It differentiates itself from other adult learning activities by the breadth of topics, the active participation in the organization by over 100 volunteers, the caliber of the presenters, and the continued pursuit of excellence through surveys of members and evaluation of the classes offered. The high caliber of the organization is reflected in its rapid adoption of virtual teaching made necessary by the COVID pandemic. The Institute didn't miss a beat in moving to a virtual platform. It has the technical expertise and member dedication to pull that off almost seamlessly. I'm proud to be a member of an organization that recognize me as an individual and values my input and membership.
Chris Schlosser: The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute is a great way to continue to learn new and interesting things - as well as meet other people. They have done a great job of shifting to all online classes during the pandemic. These classes have been a great way to stay in touch and learn while safer at home.

Julie I: For me, one of the best parts of retiring was finally getting to start attending classes with the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at UWM, otherwise known to the members of our chapter as Osher. I've enjoyed getting together with others for lectures and classes about literature, history, science, and more. Even now, when our meetings are via Zoom, the learning and sharing continues. But I'll admit, I'm looking forward to the day that we can meet, travel, eat, and learn together in person again.

Crystal Kennedy: My daughter loves coming here, we have had her nails done here several times over the past 5 years, and they treat her like a queen each and every time. I am so thankful for their kindness and patience towards my little diva who changes her minds on color and process. We have had manicures done here, we have had a full family pedicure done, and they are always prompt, kind, and provide excellent customer service. It is also VERY CLEAN, which is important for this type of business - We have since moved out of the neighborhood but we travel back just to go here!

I’ve been seeing Rebecca and Noel for about 15 months for periods of extensions and also periods of lash lift/tint. They help with consistent consultation and education when I have questions or need to make changes to my routine, like when I bought a house and needed to step back financially for a bit. They’re always flexible and communicative, think of me when they have a cancellation or can move up my appointment, and make it so fun to see them every 2 weeks. I have watched them time and again treat myself and their other customers like welcomed friends. When they take well-deserved time away from work, they always let me know in advance and spend extra hours in the studio around their time off to make sure their clients still have services. They work with me to make sure I continue to love my lashes, let me know when discounts are available, are constantly looking into the newest lash technology/techniques, and are really passionate about what they do.
