Amro: Exceptional. This place is why I like Mexican food. I was never a fan before. Guanajuato is one of my favorite restaurants in town.The location is great. The entire dining experience is great. Especially in summer when you get to enjoy the patio. Both inside and outside are good experiences and you definitely enjoy the cozy indoor atmosphere.Food is simply great. They have the best "whatever". You can't go wrong here. The steak tacos are out of this world. Get the steak tacos. Trust me and then thank me. Get the steak tacos!Steak fajitas is also a great favorite of mine. And the Margarita is also great.Prices are very cheap and reasonable.I just love this place. And remember, get the tacos.Parking: Small free parking lot available but it's always full during busy time. Expect to park on the street.Wheelchair accessibility: Side entrance is accessible. Narrow space inside. Outdoor patio is more spacious.

Steak burrito for 11 dollars loaded up? Everytime.It’s worth a weekly visit. Highly recommended. No reason to eat at a chain place like chipotle when Mara’s grill exists.

Evan Senn: The logo is a rabbit but trust me there are no rabbits inside which is fine because the food is great and cheap and so quick there’s paper plates so there’s no glass to be handled. I wonder what the dishwasher does do they wash cups? Would you call that person the cup washer because there’s really no dishes there are silverware so if you have silverware and cups and you’re just washing that then I suppose that still a job but I just wonder what that job is called especially in Spanish. My favorite piece of art is on the wall. It’s a crying baby. I like the fact that someone spent the time doing the crying baby instead of a regular baby I know it’s still the same baby but faces changed, but that doesn’t really change who the baby is or was they have cool sweatshirts I bought one one time also they let you bring your water guns in.

I had the chicken tostada, and my husband had the pork Verde enchiladas. I enjoyed my dish. My husband wanted more flavor in the sauce, but it was good. Margaritas are fabulous!!! Get there early. Parking in back of building. This place is tiny inside, and it gets very busy. The bar fills up quickly.

Not every spot gets both right.They threw in the their Molletitos which were okay, but a nice introduction.The Guacamole Azteca was pretty good too, definitely worth it with the plantain chips. Save some and add to your tacos or other entrees too.The Firebowl Platanitos was memorable to say the least for its scrumptious rum and cinnamon flavor and fun experience.Overall, wonderful quaint date night! We recommend you try whatever your heart desires because you will likely enjoy whatever you get.Parking: Very limited spaces, the restaurant is very small too, so consider Uber or timing of your visit.

Philip Gissen: Tavo's had some of the best Mexican food I've eaten in Milwaukee. Surprised at the minuscule size on entering, Tavo's has maybe five tables, with two four tops. I was fortunate only one couple was there at 5:30. The four of us perused the extensive and interesting menu after we ordered cocktails. This is a family-run restaurant, with the husband in the kitchen operating the stoves and his wife serving tables. Service isn't lighting quick, but it never created long waits disturbing our pleasure. Your drinks and food are custom-made; nothing is canned or mass-produced. That Margarita is a craft cocktail.Beautifully presented, each dish was a colorful display of culinary skills. My chicken with a piquant verde mole was scrumptious. The standard Burritos and Tacos rose above what you would find at 99% of the Mexican restaurants in town. Tavo's kitchen has skill apparent in every dish. Restaurant Tavo's is a culinary destination. You won't find buckets of slushy Margaritas served in plastic glasses. Prices were slightly higher than the typical Mexican joint with the packed lot and the recorded Mariachi music. However, you get what you pay for.

Brian J. OSullivan: I didn’t expect much, but was very pleasantly surprised! What was the party of 42 adults and two boys, staying at a nearby hotel for a baseball tournament. We need something convenient and walking distance to our hotel. All of our food was very good. Mild but good flavoring, and not at all greasy like some Mexican dishes. I had Chicken El Beso- it was great. Tacos & enchiladas were good as well. The atmosphere wasn’t bad either & they have a very nice outdoor/secluded patio. If you are local, it is worth a try- I think you’ll enjoy!

To make matters worse, I took the leftovers home, they provide paper bag, well I set it on my car seat and drove home-to find that red sauce leaked out of the container thru the bag and onto my light car interior!! Scrubbing didn't budge the red stain😡😵💫

It's really good When doing carry out, make sure you check that the order is correct before leaving. GinaG1234: I haven’t been here in a long long time. I have no idea why. The food and service are so good. First, they have the BEST salsa. It’s so thick and tasty. It is not runny at all. After I finished my meal, I ate the rest of the chips and salsa.OMG!!!
