In general, a very nice place to call home. Mari has been especially helpful. I do a cooking show most Saturday mornings in our Community Room. Mari works Saturdays and is always accessible if I Need anything. My wife and I love living at the Domus.

Jennifer McClellan: From the moment I toured the DoMus model unit, I knew this is where I was going to eventually call home.The Community Managers, Mari and Krystal, are so fabulous and welcoming. They kept in touch to alert me when a port-side unit became available. Any questions or concerns I have they respond quickly and warmly.The whole building is a very inviting space. It is almost as if I live in a beautiful hotel. The "clubhouse" is stunning. The walkway on the river is always sprinkled with greenery or flowers. The hallways are beautifully lit and extremely clean. Even the garage is spotless!All the residents here are so kind and most take the time to say hello and chat.My apartment is absolutely gorgeous. The kitchen is a dream. Warm cabinetry, granite countertops, huge island with room for chairs, and my favorite, the built-in shelving made from reclaimed wood. The appliances are top of the line. Double door fridge. Dishwasher. Tons of storage.The living space is small, yet cozy. There is a large window that allows beautiful light to filter in all day. The floors are a gorgeous, dark wood laminate.The bathroom is HUGE. There is a large floating vanity and walk-in shower as well as a beautiful built-in cabinet with shelving for storage.The bedroom is a perfect size for my queen mattress and furniture, but would also easily fit a king. My favorite part of the bedroom though is the walk-in closet. It's a dream.There is tons of additional storage in my 1 bedroom apartment. A huge, double coat closet in the entryway. Across the hall, the laundry room is almost like a mini storage unit. There is a stacked washer/dryer with ample room for shelving or hiding odd boxes or packages.Overall, the interior design of my apartment is just incredible. I come home from a long day of work, open my front door and smile. I feel so blessed to live here. All fixtures are beautifully chosen, the materials are warm and inviting and the overall living space is just ideal.Living on the river is also amazing. The view makes me smile everytime I look out my windows. It is very peaceful to see the water sparkling right outside while living in my space. I have a very large balcony where I plan on lounging on summer evenings with a glass of wine while watching the boats drift by.If you are looking for a beautiful, comforting, safe home in the Third Ward, DoMus is the place to be!

C S: If I ever have any maintenance concerns, I just have to fill out a form online and it's taken care of in a couple hours! I had a lightbulb changed a few days ago, it was replaced in a couple hours & working BETTER than I found it in! The Murphy bed being included in my studio is a huge plus, too. PLENTY of space for storage.For Wifi, you have a couple options to choose from. I chose SNIP/Zentro

Ruijiao Yuan: Urbanite is my first home in Milwaukee, and I can't like it more! It has a great location, you can walk to tons of coffee shops, restaurants and bars within 10 minutes. Wholefoods market is only a few blocks away. The management team is amazing! John and Amber always do their best to help me with what I need. I can tell how much they care about making people feel comfortable living here. The maintenance requests are always completed on the same day. There's nothing I would complain about living here. Highly recommend!

The staff is wonderful - Amber and John go out of their way to make us feel at home! They remember the smallest details of our conversations to show that they are genuinely listening, and they check in with us whenever they get the chance. They’re diligent, thoughtful, and so easy to communicate with. Nick, the maintenance tech, is the best maintenance tech I’ve ever had. We had a minor issue with our dishwasher, and within an hour of submitting our maintenance request, Nick had come and fixed it! He helps keep Urbanite at its best and his work is greatly appreciated.The common spaces are not only stunning, but well-maintained and clean. And the amenities can’t be beat! There’s a real sense of community here, and with monthly resident programming, it’s a great apartment to consider for people new to the city. It is evident that management truly cares about its residents. I am so glad I chose Urbanite as my home!

Liza Devine: I have lived at Urbanite for almost three years now and have had a great experience. I can't say enough positive things about the staff - specifically John Lucey and Amber Budd. They are both so welcoming and friendly whenever my dog and I stop for a visit in the office. They are extremely responsive and over communicate happenings, issues, etc in the building. John even brought up my packages and walked my dog when my walker was unavailable and I was home with a new baby. They go above and beyond here and I would highly recommend Urbanite to anyone considering moving in.

Aaron Kobza: My time at Urbanite unfortunately has come to an end after 18 months because of a new job opportunity, but I highly recommend the building to anyone looking for a modern unit on the East side of Milwaukee. Urbanite is perfect for dog owners because of the location, but even more so the openness of the staff to all breeds.I had a situation where my dog caused a fire in my unit while I was away and the staff, in particular my favorite Property Manager Amber Budd, acted swiftly to save my dog from smoke inhalation. If you value an attentive staff that values their tenants Urbanite is the place for you!

Brooke Butcher: I relocated from California to Milwaukee for work a few months ago and chose to rent at Urbanite. The building is conveniently located and is in a very walkable neighborhood, which I love. The staff has also been extremely helpful and responsive in getting moved in. They even took up some of the boxes I shipped ahead of my arrival! Other tenants I’ve met are super friendly and my little doggo is loving meeting so many new friends. South and east facing apartments have insane views of fireworks and the air show. I have been very impressed so far and am loving my view!

I have had no issues but do check in from time to time with John and his colleagues, and they would do anything in their power for any resident. They go above and beyond what is needed. The views are spectacular. I am writing this in the common room which is lovely. I also love that the building is pet friendly. The interactions I have had with pets and their owners have been so positive. All the residents I have met are helpful and friendly. I looked at many different places but knew this was the place for me when I stepped in the lobby.

The staff are amazing, the building is always clean, and the maintenance team does an amazing job! Coming home to Urbanite always gives me a welcoming and refreshed feeling! The peace and quiet from the concrete structure truly is sound proof and I never hear my neighbors! Cleaning staff comes through weekly to ensure the building and any common spaces remain up to par, and the maintenance team is very quick with response time! Urbanite also offers some great amenities… some I throughly enjoy using are the community room/terrace fireplace and the guest suite for when my loved ones come to visit! I am glad to call Urbanite home and can’t wait for what the next year has in store here!

Robin Timm: My wife and I moved to Stitchweld in 2021. We are delighted with our transition back to city living. Cora and Ricky make us feel like family. We even get to dirty our fingers in the raised bed gardens. When trouble arises, Jake is quick to respond and does a great job. All of the staff are welcoming and friendly. We are always talking up Stitchweld to friends and family.

Specifically, Cora is fantastic. She is always extremely kind and helpful. I am moving out of Milwaukee, and so upset that I will not be renewing my lease here, because it was such a positive experience! Cora gave me a parting away gift since my move out day is coming up soon. I have never felt so cared for by any Building Management in my life!

Jordan Fourshee: This apartment building is extremely nice! The dog park, dog washing station, and courtyard are my favorite amenities. There’s even a full sized gym and community rooms that can be rented out and used for parties and gatherings. My husband and I really love the location, it’s close to downtown Milwaukee but it’s not directly in the cityscape. Great place for young couples or a young family, or even a person who likes the quite but close proximity to the city. Not to mention our apartment is very spacious and has brand NEW appliances! With 2 large dogs having a large apartment is a must! Definitely recommend living here!!

Shea Fisher: I have had a great experience living at Jefferson Block the past 4 years and just re-signed to stay longer. It's a prime location in a great part of Milwaukee. There are amenities all around me and I have an awesome view of Lake Michigan and even the fireworks that happen frequently in downtown Milwaukee. It's fun to be close to Summerfest and all of the lakefront fests in the summer, I go to a lot of shows. I'm close to the river walk, Lake Park/Bradford Beach and am a quick hop from the expressway to hit all corners of the Milwaukee area in, for the most part, 15 minutes or less. I'm walking distance to a wide range of high quality bars, restaurants, shops, the public market, and more. The team running J-block today are fabulous. Brad, Danny and Megan in the leasing office have treated me extremely well. Derrick handles the occasional maintenance requests I have virtually immediately after I submit them. They continual work to improve the overall amenities of the building and grounds, there have been a number of upgrades over the past year alone. I'm very happy living here, I think it's a great spot.

Kit Y: My husband and I lived at the Reserve at Wauwatosa Village for seven years until we recently moved out of state. We absolutely enjoyed our time at the Reserve. The office and maintenance staff were incredibly helpful, responsive, and kind. They work hard to make sure the property is looking good and working well. The apartments are well laid out with ample space and good design. The community is filled with lovely neighbors and there are occasional social events that are available to all - food trucks, holiday parties, etc. There are quite a few dogs, ours included, but there were never issues with noise or aggressive pooches. Truly we loved living here and would still be if life had taken a different direction. You won't go wrong with these apartments and this location - the Tosa village is right down the street, there is a grocery store in walking distance and a cross fit across the street. Great location, great people, great management, great maintenance staff, great neighbors - it's a win, trust me.

During that time we were impressed by the responsiveness of the maintenance staff, the excellent diligence with snow plowing and removal, and most of all, an exceptionally friendly and helpful manager. The manager, Tim, was always very responsive to any concerns we had. During our stay we felt like management treated us more like neighbors than tenants, it was a very nice place to call home. If a change in work and school had not required us to move, we would still be living there.

Anne Holtackers: I recently had a bad experience at a well known hotel chain. I needed to be at this hotel chain for an extended period of time due to my husband's medical needs in the area. Very fortunately, I was able to get much help from a Mayfair Reserve in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin. I explained my dilemma and immediately the staff provided me with a 4 month lease and a very quick move in date which helped me greatly. The apartment is very nice and comfortable. I sincerely want to thank Tera, Katrina, Jackson, Scott, and John for their warm welcome, excellent service and continued assistance answering questions. I would highly recommend your stay at Mayfair Reserve at 11011 W. North Ave. in Wauwatosa, WI.

Philip Hurst: are all up to date. My unit had a an enormous walk-in closet that was practically a room itself.•Amenities: There is a machine that dispenses coffee/hot chocolate/hot water for tea. Also, there is a secure locker system for packages.Cons:•Be very wary of the location of your unit! Mine overlooked the pool courtyard, which might initially seem nice, but I can assure you it is not. I felt like I was living next to a frat party 12 hours a day every weekend. I am a recent college graduate, and living at Mayfair Reserve was noisier than anything I experienced in college dorms. If your idea of a “luxury apartment” doesn’t involve hearing the consistent thud of cornhole bags, blaring bluetooth speakers, and the yelps of drunk people, then be sure to get a unit away from the pool!•Because of the pool rowdiness, I never felt particularly welcome to use the pool or invite my friends, which is a shame because it’s such a nice feature. Also, the noise often made it impractical to use my balcony. The pool and balcony were amenities that I was paying for in my rent, but I could not use due to the atmosphere. The pool supposedly closed at 10PM, but this is unenforced/unenforceable, so the noise often stretched on later than that. I like to have fun, too, but this was over the top.•Upon move-out, management deducted from my security deposit for a trivial “damage” that was present upon move-in. I appealed this with the property manager, Tera, who told me she would check with the management company and get back to me, but I never heard from her again. Management will presumably try to rationalize this in a response to my review, but I am resolute that I was unjustifiably charged. Be sure to document even the most petty “damages” when you move in so you’re not liable!

Sydney Cavanaugh: My boyfriend and I lived at Boston Lofts for a little over 3 years. Prior to Mandel group selling the apartments I would rate it 5 stars. Don’t get me wrong, there were hiccups such as maintenance problems and the occasional testing of the fire alarms, but overall things were handled well, communicated efficiently and the place was consistently kept very clean. Unfortunately, when Red Tail took over last summer things changed a bit and I would give our stay over the last year a 3/5. The electric bill significantly went up for residents, luckily we were grandfathered in, but I’m talking from about 10-15 dollars/month to hundreds. They also took a long time to figure out how to keep the common areas clean, I would say when we moved out they were about 90% to what they used to be, but again still hadn’t reach the cleanliness we were used to. Lastly, communication was significantly more difficult with the leasing office this last year as emails took a bit to get back to and the leasing office is open a lot less due to staffing issues. Hopefully, as they have been in charge for well over a year now things continue to improve. Overall, we adored the location of the apartment, our actually unit which was 1 bed 1.5 bath lofted style with huge windows that we could watch the sunset in every day, as well as the common area rooftop.

Anisa Silva: Lived here for 2 years and had such a great experience. The building was well constructed, I didn't feel like I unnecessarily heard neighbors. Management was amazing and always accommodating. On move in, we did have an issue with mold in our washer that I don't think was properly addressed, but the manager at the time has since been replaced.The location was great, right off the river for easy morning strolls, walking distance to the grocery store and great restaurants and bars, and like a 20 minute walk to the lake.

Matt Ricciardi: Lived here for 2 years, and have many positive things to say about this property. Great location that is pretty hard to beat, and all of downtown is easily reachable by foot or a short car ride. The building is very nice and the apartments all have a good modern feel with lots of room and nice appliances. The indoor parking garage and small community gym are very nice features that most people don't realize how nice it is to have in a populated downtown area. Maintenance has always been quick to respond, and the apartment managers are super nice and easy to work with consistently no matter what the subject may be. There are always plenty of options out there, but I have yet to find a better apartment that offers all of the features that 1910 on Water does!

Hayden Engstrom: I have lived here for a year and a half and have really enjoyed living here. Management is very easy to work with and I have had no significant issues in a year and a half, which has not been the case at other buildings I have lived. Once I was accidentally double charged for rent and Christina worked quickly to fix the problem. I am so appreciative of how friendly and nice everyone in the community is and I enjoy the complimentary donuts in the lobby on Saturday mornings!

Emily Harris: I have lived at 1910 for 2 years and have nothing but incredible things to say about the property, the staff, and the neighborhood. Christina is lovely and always greets my dog and I by name when she sees us. Maintenance requests are responded to quickly and Mike always keeps you informed if something will take longer than planned. The only reason I am leaving 1910 is work-related and I will miss this apartment greatly. Plus, it's really in a great, safe location.Also - To address the dog waste situation mentioned in another review - as a dog owner who has gotten to know the other dog owners in the building, neither 1910 management nor the residents are the cause of this problem. They consistently make keeping the property and neighborhood clean a priority and they do the best they can to prevent their tenants from contributing to the waste. Also, dog waste is an issue everywhere as, unfortunately, people do not want to clean up after their pets. It is not just a 1910, east side, or downtown Milwaukee problem.

The clubhouse, gym, and pool are great! The walking trail around the entire property is AMAZING, especially for us pet owners. Underground parking is an incredible perk to have, and even having large recycle and garbage bins to use is a big perk. Overall we LOVE it here. We had moved in during a transition period, but everything has been smooth, from the lease process to the move-in process. Can't recommend the Greenfield Highlands enough!

Even with the trains coming by from time to time, it's still a very quiet place. Both Mckenzie and Bevin are exceptional at answering any questions that come up and putting together great events for our community here at our building! I highly suggest considering this place! Location is perfect too, just a walk, bike ride, or quick drive away to everything Milwaukee has to offer!

John Lin: Moved to Milwaukee from Madison last year, the Yards was exactly what I was looking for in urban living. In a fun, but quiet enough neighborhood that is Walkers Point. The apartment building is new, and the amenities are plentiful. Management is responsive, as both Emily and Bevan are helpful. Not sure what the parking complaints in previous reviews were about- but I was offered both garage spots or uncovered spots. Both for a monthly fee, but that's to be expected. Great place to live in!

Although in the beginning I experienced towing problems, as mentioned in some others’ comments, Bevan and Emily could not have been more helpful in making the situation right. Both Bevan and Emily are incredibly friendly and make living here so enjoyable. Additionally, there is excellent community in the building. I have no complaints about my unit itself or the building; the unit was very clean when I moved in, and the building is well maintained. I plan to continue to live here.
