Thayvarath Thidphy: For 12 years I’ve attempted getting sober on my own more then I can recall, and I’ve never succeeded once. Then I found roots recovery. I was very reluctant on giving them a call, thinking to myself, “how could they help me when I couldn’t even help myself . “ I was completely wrong. Roots was exactly what I needed. Roots taught me how to not only live a normal life, but how to live happily again with out any type substances. I’ve gained so much knowledge and structure since I’ve been at roots. I’ve also gained friends that I now call my family. My first day at roots, I met people just like me who look lost, sick, hopeless, and on the verge of wanting to give up. Now I look at those same faces I saw when I first got there and I can say it is truly AMAZING to see where we are now. Without the help of roots staffing, I would not be where I am today, and I am forever grateful. I’ve been in and out of rehabilitation centers for drug addiction as well as multiple outpatient programs during my active addiction for years. The biggest difference in my success with staying sober this time around has a tremendous amount to do with the Roots counseling service and Roots housing. Cameron Pace: I was provided many process groups and house circles to discuss current life events and struggles and receive feedback from staff and my peers. They even continue to offer outpatient care after a resident graduates their roots housing stay, which in my mind is critical to long term recovery. The staff are very personable, yet are direct when warranted and hold me to high standards. Roots housing added a plethora of fellowship, fun, conversation, friends, and accountability to my life when I needed these things the most. I will say, roots housing is not for the faint of heart. They will not tolerate continuous refusal to work on oneself and his/her shortcomings, a necessary part of recovery and in keeping a safe environment for all peers in a sober living setting. I will forever hold the experience, atmosphere, fellowship, and care roots provided for me close to my heart.

Dave Krenzien: all have special skills that they bring to the table.Not only does Marquette have first class PT's they feature the most modern and progressive technology to aid you in your rehabilitation process.We have placed our faith and trust in the Marquette Neuro Recovery Clinic and we have not been disappointed.The clinic at Marquette is a warm welcoming environment. Aimee who handles the scheduling is very helpful and works with us to make sure that we have a schedule that will work for us.While I don't have a need for Occupational Therapy it is also offered at Marquette and my instincts tell me that Rose and Berrit are at the top of their field as well.We are lucky to have a clinic of this quality so close to home. I am not sure what we would do if we didn't have this option available to us.
Lauren Falk: Anne has been seeing our son for a little over 2.5 years now. As an infant he was not achieving early developmental milestones that are pivotal for his long term development. We were doing PT at another clinic initially and their approach was “just keep putting him on his stomach” despite his adverse response. . . Anne took a neural developmental approach to understanding why he wasn’t able to do that and gave us steps and skills as parents to facilitate our child’s developmental needs. During that time she identified other needs for our son, connected us with the right professionals, advocated for us and our son, to ensure that all of his needs were met. She helps you see the bigger picture of how these things not only effect a child in the short term, but why we strive for the bigger picture of his long term development and success as a child. Anne is not just a PT, she truly is a caregiver, an educator and an advocate. On top of being an amazing PT she’s also a professor, so you know that she is constantly pushing herself to stay abreast of the latest research and treatment techniques to ensure she is pushing the next generation of professionals to do their best for their patients. I can’t recommend her enough!
Danny Yoloski: The best place for a person like me with need for neuro rehabilitation after TBI. After a car accident, I was in coma for 7 monthes. After that , I wasn’t able to move my hands and legs as my muscles were gone. I needed to rebuild my strength. When I first time came to NRC my mom brought me in the wheelchair. I could not walk or even stand on my own securely. Thanks to Kim and her team , month after month I’ve been doing constant progress. It is almost a year and half and I am still under Kim wings. At this moment, I am walking without my mom holding me. I have still a lot problems with balance but mKim is working on it. Because of the pandemic I have been continuing with virtual therapy which is great alternative. I highly recommend NRC. If not for them, I would be still in wheelchair.

Laura Hughes: A serious TBI took us to every other program within a 50 mile radius and beyond. Although kind, passionate and knowledgeable therapists could be found at every other hospital we have been to, there is a marked difference in the quality of equipment used at Marquette. It is of a higher level of technology. Once you see the harnesses used for people finding their balance you will be shocked know anyone anywhere operates without one. Marquette is the only program in the greater Milwaukee area with the equipment required to help your loved one reorient and recover balance to walk again. If you find yourself caring for a loved one in need of Neurorecovery go to Marquette where the expertise and equipment are truly state of the art.
Jaime Regan: Our daughter has been receiving pediatric PT from Anne Pleva since she was 6 months old. She is now 7 and making incredible gains because of the attentiveness to detail and responsiveness to questions that Anne has always provided. We couldn’t be happier with the NRC and the services they provide. We wouldn’t go anywhere else for therapy! Anne is definitely one of the finest pediatric PTs in the area. Even the people who work in billing take extra time to call and talk to families about what services would cost and how insurance will cover those services. That is just another reason we are so happy with what the NRC offers.We were so fortunate and blessed to find Anne so many years ago - she has been part of our lives and has always given advice and recommendations about other things our daughter needed from Speech to OT. She is truly concerned about the whole child.
William Martin: I cannot share enough about how incredible Kim and all of the other people from the Neuro recovery clinic are. From day one they got me on my feet and helped me to walk after I had not walked in over two years. The videos that I shared with everyone who knows me brought tears to their eyes as well as my own while it was happening. Always positive the workers at the MU - NRC are a blessing here on earth. My only regret is that I didn’t meet them sooner. If you or someone you know needs this type of therapeutic help don’t waste anymore time and contact them ASAP!!!

Sarah Azar: to try and get to the root cause of the physical issue you are experiencing. Special kudos to Martha who was patient and dynamic in her remedy program she uniquely designed for me. I wish that PT could be part of my weekly exercise program. The mental element to how you move in everday life is just as important as the physical.

Samantha Sutter: Well this is long overdue! I went to physical therapy here for about half a year after breaking both my ankles. Martha was amazing and made the whole experience great. I have had physical therapy in the past before and it was always beyond boring and just super frustrating to attend. With Martha I felt like I was being taken care of and actually treated like a person and not just a number. I was happy when the time came for me to graduate from physical therapy, but I was also sad because it meant not seeing all the wonderful staff at Athletico anymore.

I had previous experience with the Eastside Athletico for a similar problem and called for a referral from my family practice doc. Athletico got me in right away and Martha, the wonderful pt, evaluated me, gave a logical explanation for what she thought was happening, and exercises to do. I was on a tight time line before leaving, and she worked with my limitations, pain and my busy schedule. Dave Urbaniak: My experience with PT at Athletico was outstanding.Stephanie at the Downer Ave location was fantastic. As was the entire staff. I was 6 months out of my last hip replacement and was having pain in the hip area as well as multiple locations of upper leg, with constant bruising and stiffness with any activity. After the 1st session of Needling and some pinpoint exercises I was stunned to see how much better I felt the next day. My strength came back, all of the pain is gone and my range of motion is back to what it was 10 years ago, pre hip replacements. I am back in the gym daily after 4 weeks. Thx Stephanie for taking the time to work with me, I appreciated all of your expertise on what exercises to do and helpful tips for training. Amy Kopplin: Quite frankly, I owe this clinic my ability to walk today!After a golf injury, the PT's at this clinic accurately identified that I had a spinal issue that PT alone likely would not fix, and recommended me to a local orthopedic spine surgeon. I actually needed an emergency spinal surgery to preserve my ability to walk, and subsequently completed 6 months of physical therapy with this location afterwards. I honestly cannot say enough good things about this clinic, its staff, and all of the therapists!I worked closely with many of the therapists due to the number of sessions I needed to complete, and can honestly say you cannot go wrong with any of the PT's. Megan, Stephanie and Martha are caring, knowledgeable, and knew when I could test my strength and boundaries while still making me feel confident and capable! They assisted me with how to best take care of a new scar, best stretches and movements I could do at home as well.The aides that support the PT's helped during busy times, and I always felt that I was a valued patient in the clinic, even when they were busy. There always seems to be an upbeat attitude in the clinic!All of the front desk staff made scheduling easy; they worked with me and all my doctor appointments and when I went back to work. Sam Ahmed (Sam): This is the first truly “physicals therapy” provider that I ever been to. The others pretend to perform PT or OC but this is the true genuine location with full knowledge and sincere aim to resolve their patient’s issues.They are almost provide one-to-one treatment which exceeded my expectation. Nathan Boyer: Dr. Ramirez is by far one of the best doctors I have been to. I drive an hour to get dry needling done and it is well worth the trip. Physical Therapy of Milwaukee is the only place in the surrounding area I found that adds electric stimulation to the dry needling. Dr. Ramirez has always been friendly and engaged. She takes the time to listen to what I have to say and I never feel rushed. Even though I am only there for dry needling, Dr. Ramirez does a holistic check of my muscles and spine and has provided other functions to aid in helping reduce my pain. All the staff there is helpful and friendly. Can't recommend this place enough!!

Shaz Bhathena: The people at ATI Physical Therapy were dedicated to helping me feel better. They adapted my at home exercises weekly to match my needs, checked in on my pain, and used their knowledge to help me deal with my chronic pain. They were huge advocates for me with the insurance companies when it came to needing more sessions, and monitored my improvement persistently so that I could get to a much better place with my pain.
