Welcome to the 2023 South Shore Farmers’ Market Season! We are excited to celebrate 25 years, and to share a summer and fall full of local, fresh food from over 40 regional vendors, a full slate of music from diverse, homegrown talent, and opportunities to connect with friends and neighbors in beautiful South Shore Park. Join us Saturdays from 8 am to Noon, June 17 – October 28, 2023.

Be sure to mark your calendar, too, for Saturday, July 29, for our 25th Anniversary Celebration. Festivities will include cake, music, and a special Community Day Fair. We’ll invite non-profits serving Bay View to set up tables and share all the great things they do in service of the community. Situated along Lake Michigan in Milwaukee’s South Shore Park, the South Shore Farmers’ Market offers the best of local agricultural, prepared and ready-made foods. Enjoy a lake breeze carrying sounds of laughter and live entertainment while you shop!

South Shore Farmers’ Market (SSFM) was conceived 25 years ago, as an extension of Friends of South Shore Park, and founders had two main priorities: preserve and create community in South Shore Park and build connections between urban residents and regional agriculture and small local food producers. In some ways, not much has changed since the early days, lending to part is part of its charm. Each Saturday, June – October, rain or shine, the market brings together the best of local in the best locale. Quality vendor products with a focus on local agriculture, botanicals, packaged food and beverage, and ready-made products have continued to make this one of the most popular markets in the region. 4worldlovers: Kallas Honey Farm bottles a full retail line of honey and distributes throughout the Midwest. Kallas also uses their honey in the making of a number of related products such as honey mustard, honey barbecue sauce and fresh baked granola.

4worldlovers: Since its humble beginnings in 1948, Tower Chicken Farm has been providing Milwaukee with the finest quality fresh poultry and specialty food products. We handle a full line of poultry including chicken, turkey, and duck. We also carry things that are harder to find, like goose, pheasant, and rabbit. Our butchers are always ready to answer questions, supply you with your choice and cut it the way you like it.


A visit to our store is not complete without taking home some specialty sausages. Made from chicken, pork or beef, our extensive selection includes but is not limited to, Polish, Cajun, Italian sausages, as well as Hotdogs, Hungarian, Slovenian and a multitude of deliciously different types of Brats.

Our Polish heritage has led us to develop a line of Pierogi that is sure to tempt your taste buds. Our selection includes, cheese, potato, spinach, mushroom and chicken.


My Grandmother made the most delicious soups. While she kept some secrets to herself she did teach us her favorites. Now we cook them the old fashioned way and share them with you under our “Mother’s Best” label. We produce soups like Chicken Dumpling, Czarnina and Clam Chowder.


We sell our birds whole or cut. Just let the butcher know how you would like them. We won’t even charge you extra, because we like to show off our knife skills!


Remember, I said we sell our birds whole or cut up. If all you need are chicken wings you can purchase just the wings and you can buy as many as you like. No pre-packaged pieces here!

The West Allis Farmers Market offers a wide variety of seasonal produce, fresh meats and eggs, honey and maple syrup, fresh-cut flowers and annual plants, and prepared foods. Our 2023 season will start May 6 and end November 25, 2023.

Each year the Farmers Market is open from the first Saturday in May through the Saturday after Thanksgiving. We are open on Tuesdays and Thursdays from noon to 6 p.m. and on Saturdays from 1 – 6 p.m. Please note we are closed Independence Day and Thanksgiving Day.

We open later in the day to allow the farmers to bring only the freshest produce, picked that morning, to the market.

4worldlovers: We are now open daily 9am-6pm! The bakery and corn maze are also open. The entrance for pick your own and the corn maze closes at 5:30. Currently for pick your own we only have Paula Reds.

The beer garden will be open every Saturday and Sunday from 12-6 starting on September 2nd.
