Kelly Harrold: I drive up from Chicago to go the beach and come here for lunch often. I've loved the little outside bar long before Covid. Service is friendly, the tunes are chill, the food is fantastic without requiring formality or pretense and my fav part is that they are dog friendly. The fact that I can sit and chow on oysters, crab, lobster and premium fresh fish outside with a cocktail and my dog makes me about as happy as one can get.

Jessica: I live in the far north suburbs in Illinois and sometimes visit the Harbor House when I'm in the area. I have tried a few different entrees and plan on ordering a different dish each visit.Their Crispy Pork Belly appetizer is delicious. There's a nice, satisfying crunch to the pork belly skin and the meat itself is tender. The Hudson Canyon Sea Scallops entree comes with four perfectly seared sea scallops thoughtfully accompanied with salmon roe, which makes the flavors come together and pop – both literally and metaphorically. I've also had the Rainbow Trout entree, which was very fresh.It's refreshing to see that Harbor House offers two kinds of lobster rolls: Main-Style and Connecticut-Style. I prefer Connecticut-Style, so that's what I ordered at Harbor House. The kitchen is generous with the amount of lobster meat. The toasted Brioche bun is so good you can eat it on its own. I don't think Harbor House uses Maine lobster, but I wish they do because Maine lobster is still hands down by far the best tasting lobster because of it's naturally sweet flavor profile.Customer service at Harbor House is also outstanding. The hostess is always very friendly. Even though we didn't exchange eye contact as I was leaving the restaurant, the hostess wished me a good evening, which led me to turn around and wish her the same.I wasn't sure whether to rate the Harbor House 4 or 5 stars because the food is overly salty. The heavy salt content reacts with the acidity of some of their dishes and made my mouth tingle. That's my only issue with the food at Harbor House, but it doesn't really stop me from visiting again when I'm in the area. 5 stars anyway.

The Pinot Noir for my partner was also very good.We shared a combination of small plates including; the Tuna Crispy Rice, Roasted Scallops, and Duck Carnitas Tacos. All excellent choices. Joseph Henderson: Capital Grill is always one of my favorites. I love the service but for some reason I have been a little disappointed in their food. This round had lobster bisque and salmon with couscous. The lobster bisque was amazing. The salmon and couscous lacked flavor and salt. I know salt is objective but even when added it lacked other flavors. I am providing a great review because service is always top notch.

The food and cocktails were DELICIOUS! We love the mussels, with a bit of heat, the cheese curds that we're freshly fried in homemade same day batter. My filet with mushroom and garlic herb butter and roasted potatoes and asparagus was cooked perfectly for my tastes, medium rare. I had two cocktails, the cranberry Tom Collins and the Sidecar. The Sidecar was my favorite, but both were tasty! If you can, snag a reservation for this fun pop-up event!

Kathryn Campbell: We came from all over the country for a family wedding. Eight of us walked in last night because we were exploring the area around our hotel, looking for a place to eat. Wow! We found this storefront with a name that made us all decide we had to go in. We were welcomed, and the following hours were, after the wedding, our best memory of a magical weekend. Great staff, fun tasting of sauces, and then the food came, and talking ceased. Everything was perfect, according to my very foodie family members. I had the Grits and Shrimp appetizer, which was meal size! The grits were treated as patties and deep-fried to perfection. The grilled shrimp were perfectly done. Not overcooked, which is tricky. Everyone else’s dinners brought the same reviews. We all decided then and there to return to this gem of a city to explore more restaurants, and come to this particular diamond again!

With smiles stretching from cheek to cheek! The waitresses exuded more joy than I have ever witnessed at any other restaurant. I purchased a shrimp and crab boil with sausage and corn and was not even the slightest bit disappointed. The food was flavoured so well. They allowed you to taste all the sauces prior to ordering and by golly the flavor was so intense and fulfilling. I will continue to support this business until my dying day. There are sincerely no words to express how much joy they have brought to my family. I look forward to my next visit. And encourage you to pay them a visit! I highly doubt they are capable of disappointing those with even the most sensitive of pallets.

We had excellent service, were greeted at our table and visited with both the manager DeVante and assistant Kyle along with other staff that assisted with water, etc. Brooke was our waitress, our servers were Eric and Michael; all three could not have been more attentive to our needs, while respecting our privacy. We met Chef Todd and his kitchen crew after the meal to thank them for the wonderful meal. Our food choices did not disappoint, all were cooked to our request and done superbly. The food was amazing, everyone found something they wanted from the menu and we even tried the gater bites which were so good! Everyone finished their plates! The atmosphere was fantastic and the friendly staff and other customers really helped with that welcoming feeling. I was happy to have the Cajun Parmesan oysters! Very good. I also got to try frog legs for the first time thanks to Mom's suggestion - a great choice. There were no complaints about the food or the service at all. Food came out pretty quickly and was all very good. Looking forward to my next visit! I have my next choices narrowed down to about 6 items... I might have to come back more than once!

Caleb Krause: We used the valet, walked in, and were greeted quickly by the hostess. The downstairs was full on a Friday night so they seated us upstairs. I preferred this because it was quieter and felt more relaxed. The pepperjack mac and cheese was really good, but came out a bit cold. Steak was cooked properly, but was pretty tough for a filet. Served and runner were both polite and not overly conversational, which I appreciated.
