Milwaukee Sewing Machine Company: what do users think?

Jane Busse: So sad they are closing. I like to stop in on occassion to see what new machines they have & to buy more thread.

Ericka Lang: as repairing would be more than the value, they were so helpful in looking it over to confirm the problem on the spot. Great service!

Rosalia Mulford: Excellent service and quality sewing notions!

Mary Seramur: I’m going in today with my machine for a tuneup… this business is top shelfThe woman who blamed the store for smashing the old machine from an estate sale with a worn out base is not being realistic… old is old …. Worn out is worn out… she expected that an old machine is going to work like the new machines is not seeing the big pictureEspecially cuz it to her it shouldn’t cost anything to bring it up to speedI see this in my business as it’s rare people respect your skills and experience and expect you to do things for nothingMilwaukee Sewing Machine Shop is great

Susan Collier: They are kind people with a sincere desire to be of service. If they can't provide you with a machine maybe it's not made

Karina zastro: My very old sewing machine broke. So I choose to go to a sewing machine store that has been in business for many years. Great caring people work there. I told them what I had and what I wanted. They have a variety of all kinds of machines there. Judy showed me around and took the time to make sure I was happy with the machine I picked. She gives lessons she is so knowledgeable and talented at sewing and embroidering. The store has lots of sewing needs. From rolling carts to put your machine in and embroidery designs to buy. Definitely go there. You will be so pleased.

Madam Chino: the best!! thank you for the stellar service

Patricia Taylor: I bought my 1 st machine 43 years ago from the Uncle of Don who owns the company now. Great place Great service and I bought 2nd 18+ years old and now going to get my 3rd. 😊😊.

Vera Nowak: Excellent customer service

Log Cabin Sewing Company: what do users think?

Cheri Graffenius: Such great friendly service for altering, can not wait to do a a sewing project with my daughter. 😊

M W: I'm not what you'd call a "true quilter" but am doing a quilt for my daughter. I almost had all the material I needed except for one other tonal color that JoAnn Fabrics didnt have. I googled and happened to find Log Cabin. WHAT. A. PLEASANT. SURPRISE!!!! The owner, Danica, was so extremely helpful, even directing me to a different store since she didn't carry what she felt would work best either for my quilt. So refreshing to have a business have this kind of customer service!! But the biggest smile I had is that this shop still exists!! A place where quilters can go, work on their projects together, help eachother, and of course get the professional help right there from the owner herself. Oh my... this is a gem I pray stays around a long long time!Thank you for being there and all the help and direction you gave for my quilt project!! You really helped me a lot!!

Robert Mc Mullen: This place is wonderful! I live the place and the people within it. A+++

K no reply: Shop local!I was googling through the big box stores looking for a solution for a repair project…when it dawned on me: What am I doing? I need someone with experience who understands sewing. So, I turned to a local business and got exactly what I needed—encouragement, expertise, and personal service.Danica encouraged me to bring the project in. We looked at it together, brainstormed solutions & I couldn’t be happier! She made me feel welcome & at ease. And, I have a solid plan for how to finish my project.I look forward to returning for classes and a “Midnight Sew”, as well as a chance to look through the beautiful bolts of fabric.

Joy Blodgett: Very kind people own this shop.

Lauri: I have recently decided to reinvent myself through my childhood skills in sewing . I searched around for local refresher classes and am blessed to have found Danica and her staff. Everyone there has been welcoming and encouraging. I recently completed several beginner projects that I am delighted 😀 with. After just a couple of weeks I feel confident in my abilities to begin my first quilt. I have no doubt I have found the best place possible for any supplies and support I will need. Thanks 🙏 for everything!

Robin Corozza: Great small local business. Donica and staff are very knowledgeable. Great place to purchase a new machine as well as have your current one serviced. Lots of fun classes offered as well

paul schultz: Great place. Well run. Staff knows what they are doing

Fire Cooking: Wonderfully place, great staff, amazing classes

Grubes Towing & Repair: Thank you for helping to provide the venue to disperse the much needed masks for the Masked Sewists of SE Wisconsin!

PMG: Donica went above and beyond to assist us with all our sewing questions.

Kelly Taylor-Schaus: Every time I attend a class, the instructor has been kind and helpful to this inexperienced sew-er. The classes are accessible and enjoyable for beginners and experienced alike.

Dianne Gleixner: A fun place to sew, socialize, have quilt tops quilted, and shop for fabric! Quilt and general sewing classes too.

Bigsby's Sewing Center: what do users think?

Scott W: sewing machine. Got great service by the staff, looking at and discussing the different Bernina machines. It's a nice location, but a little small and a bit hard to move around.

Jackie Krueger: Wonderful service! Repaired a small problem I had while I was there! Very accommodating and informative.

Cornelia Beilke: Lovely people and so very helpful to a newby!

Tina Bee: The best source for great sewing machines and knowledgeable information about the use and care of them.

Esther Moore: An amazing quilt shop! Racks displaying high quality quilt fabric throughout the store.Helpful employees, professional, friendly, knowledgeable and cheerful!Well organized, stocking everything you need for your projects, including sewing machines!Samples on display for inspiration.Good parking.Well lit.Clean, easy to find just what you're looking for.Highly recommended, well worth the trip!!

Lisa Remer: Excellent customer service.

Luke Burkholder: I’m not the fabric artist in the family, but I have been in here a few times for some project supplies, and the staff is always helpful. In my opinion their main business seems to be selling sewing machines, and just a few brands, so they won’t have everything you could imagine a “sewing center” might have, but what they do have is pretty good quality.

Ashley Modlinski: Staff and so nice and so helpful. My mom has a very nice but old machine and they keep it in working order. We don't trust anyone else to service the machine.

Christine Canino: Very helpful!

Barbie Poseley: Awesome! Rosemary is so sweet! Loved all her show and tell!

Yehuda “Richard” Goldberg: They've got a great selection of imported fabrics and a really nice Bernina display. Staff knows their stuff!

Carol K: had the fabric I was looking for. Nice helpful people working there.

Yuna Lee: I love here the only place I could get Echino fabric in this area!

Norman G: male questions about the machines they had. There was absolutely no pressure to buy one over another. It's really what you want to do with it and what options each offers. Today, 5/6/24 I finally plugged the machine in to see if it even turned on and to my surprise it seems like it would work fine. I did chuckle a bit as there's a foot pedal to make it work. However, for what I'm thinking of using it for I believe it has more than I need as to options. Tomorrow I have an appointment with my massage therapist and will take the machine with so I can stop in and discuss the value of keeping it. Hopefully a sewing class will start soon and an opening will be available. I look forward to working with the two ladies I met.

Mary Starr: Fast, friendly service. My machine is up and running again. 😊

Lou Hull: I have an old Singer that I had inherited from my aunt many years ago. It had gotten sluggish so I brought it in. What exceptional service! Seams Sew Perfect: what do users think?

Diane Wyck: . The suit was about 15 years old. It needed the pants shortened, and overall, it was a bit too big on him. The seamstress suggested taking in the suit coat, and the pants for a more modern look as well as hemming the pants. It was done way faster than originally quoted. The suit looked great on my son, especially with the updated look! I was very pleased with their expertise and courteous manner! I highly recommend their services!

Sandra Tisdale: I need address for my granddaughter and I found that it needed a zipper put in so that she could wear it longer. So I took it to seem so perfect and I just picked it up and the proprietor did an excellent job I am very happy with the work that she did. I can do zippers but when it comes to adding something that's already made I am not knowledgeable in this area. I am very happy with the work she did on the dress. I would definitely take and go to her for any alterations that I would have to be done in the future period. I did pay a lot for the zipper to be put in however it was well worth my money and I would go there for other items as well. She does phenomenal work!

juan saavedra: Great quality and prompt service! Prices are a bit on the high side however its a classic "you get what you pay for". I will definitely go back!

Robert Kelly: Lo and behold I came across Seams Sew Perfect at a Harley Rally location last year and they made me a believer! Every time Every patch is 100%

Als Americar: Very prompt service always go there for any leather repair

M.L: Came in kinda last minute for one shirt to get done and the younger woman not sure of her name possibly the owner got me in right away and I was squared away within 10 min would definitely recommend this place 👍🏾👍🏾

Wendy “Sis” Winkler: A little pricey for me but I'm sure it'll be a great job.

Lydia Albrecht: I recently bought a snowsuit that was unfortunately too long in the torso. After calling multiple places and being turned away, I found this shop and I'm so thankful I did! I received it back today and it fits like a glove! The lining looks very good and the outer seams are excellent! It actually took me a while to even find the seam as it blended in so well with the original design. I feel like the amount I paid was well earned for the quality of the work.

Shorty Sadilek: Women there are extremely nice and helpful!!!

Arleen Gordon: Excellent craftsmanship! Replaced my zipper on my Michael Kors jacket and it's better than the original. The service was fast.

Michael David: Excellent work, very professional.

Ronnie Hall: Brought my vest with me to Milwaukee to have patches sewn on during my visit to the Harley museum. Found Seams Sew Perfect online and was glad I did. They did a great job sewing on about seven patches. I called short notice and they said I could bring it in and drop it off. I picked it up the next day as I was leaving town. They did a great job. Thanks Seams Sew Perfect!

Maricela Chavez: Wow, this woman did some major alterations to three of my leather garments. The leather vest she brought in the shoulders cuz they were way extended out and she tightened up the collar as you can see in the photos. The plain leather jacket she chopped off the fly collars and made it colorless as you can see she also extended the sides to fit me perfectly for zipping up.She also is at the moment extending a zip-up old classic leather jacket for me. Last she made these patches and sewed them on within 5 minutes her prices are excellent and worth every penny I am one satisfied customer and will be back again and again. Thank You"LADIES" you do magnificent Craftsman ship work. DO-NOT waste your time going anywhere else.So excited bringing a coupleBrand New Garments in..Some Denim and Leather.Today isMay 7th, 2024Watch for the finally finish...Service:General repairs

Sew Much More: what do users think?

Suzanne Uttech: , I truly appreciate Sew Much More, its friendly and knowledgeable staff, and amazing selection of classes, machines, fabric, notions, and more! I follow the Facebook group and love watching Tuesdays at 2 with Wendy, who always makes me laugh with her joke of the week!

theresa memmel: Have purchased 2 machines from here. Lessons are excellent and service is superior. Lots of threads. Accessories and material. Clubs are fun and informative. Highly recommend.

Theresa Muehlbauer: The first time I walked into Sew Much Much more, I had a 30 year old sewing machine in need of service and not one clue about how to sew. Every employee I've spoken with since that day, whether when I was shopping or taking classes, has been incredibly kind and more than happy to help answer the many, many questions I had. I took their beginner's course this past fall and, in one two-hour session, I made a pillowcase. This may not seem like a big deal to experienced sewers, but I could not have been more thrilled. I've now also taken their Beginner's skill building course and am signing up for one-off project sessions. Thanks to Sew Much More, I can now say that I sew, I enjoy doing it, and feel like I have what will hopefully be a lifelong hobby. I cannot recommend them enough. They truly are a one stop shop for whatever you need!

Christine Day: Was undecided about buying this machine. I decided yes and after 3 days I know I made the right decision. The machine is lighter in weight than my old Bernina 1230. This e475 is lighter but offers all that I could possibly want. Very easy to use and has a multitude of stitches. The day I went to Sew Much More - Waukesha, there was someone to give a demo and answer any questions. Who could ask for more.Take a trip to your Bernina store! You won’t be disappointed!I

Janice Fletcher: Everyone at Sew Much More is friendly and helpful- the employees as well as the shoppers!

Lynn Schulz: Extremely friendly, engaged, knowledgeable, and helpful staff. Best machine service too! Do not hesitate to visit this store for your sewing needs!

Linda Catterson: . Great selection of cotton, fur and even knits! The store also sells buttons you won't find elsewhere.

Pam Uhan: One of the nicest group of people to work with. Very friendly service and helpful when you purchase a machine. Brad does a great job on servicing the machines and has helped me out on more that one jam I've gotten myself into! Kathy has become a friend I can count on when I have any questions regarding embroidery. They have a huge display of thread and notions. With their expansion, this will be a go to place for machines and service. Highly recommend Frank's Sewing Center. Thank you Brad and Kathy for all your help!!!!

Kim Stenz: Sew Much More is an amazing place to find material, notions, thread, batting, classes, sewing machine repair, etc… You come as one person into the store & leave as a family member & add so so many friendships! Best place in town for all your crafting & questions.

Donna Deuster: I have been shopping at Sew Much More for many years. Brad took over the business from his grandfather when it was "Franks Sewing Center". He maintained the same quality and expertise that he learned from his grandfather and has continued to build on it. He strives to have an expert and knowledgeable staff. He has grown and expanded to offer everything you need to Sew and Sew Much More!!! They will educate you with on going classes and offer helpful advice on any project you have questions on. I remember getting step by step instructions on my first machine embroidery project. It turned out beautiful. Their prices are fair and competitive. The selections for everything from fabric to needles to machines and more is outstanding. I could go on and on. This a definitely a place you will fall in love with for a lifetime for all your sewing needs.

Cheri Allen: Great Sewing/ quilt shop in Waukesha, easy to find, lots of sewing machines for sale at every price range and the store calendar is full of great clubs and classes

Kathryn Krenz: Love this store! Lots of fabulous fabrics and many, many other sewing needs, machines, machine accessories and the service machines. Not anything more you could want. And for me, the best part, I don’t have to drive to Milwaukee. It’s in my backyard.

Sarah Carl: Every time I go in, everyone is so nice. The turn around on getting my sewing machine serviced is always fast.

Beth Sallee: Great service. Friendly staff. Love the classes and all the wonderful products available to purchase. You’re in good hands. Customer service absolutely the best

Milwaukee Area Technical College Downtown Milwaukee Campus: what do users think?

Felicia Wilkins: Very helpful in finding resources

Marvin Pineda: This college expects the best out of you when nNo other reality can accept the worst of you. And I mean this when you find yourself the core curriculums you find yourself to work, you will find the workplace safety becomes pinned between a ladder of a few to honors received by none lest it becomes a receptionist to a catering service. – If you’re looking to be a plumber, here’s where to start, because if I was arguing carpentry over metallurgy in such a calm weathered hallway, you’d be screaming acts of God till the trickle point landed on your face with your belly bestowing all the previous laughter you thought you could manage by yourself. You see, I’d be sitting with the Dean, the Staff of Administration, and an S1185 form wondering whether or not to let a blind man walk out with his cane before I found out who ruined my Mother’s marriage and career progression to her children without blood on my knuckles following WI ST. 118.35, and an Honorable Admission of Servitude seeing as my own efforts will linger the halls into a transferable credit of Guiness World Record Readership to a statement that will leave you to question what the Commissioner is going to say about it. – After all, when school is close by, I’m just looking to form my retirement.Want to challenge that signature? Or leave it in chalk? Lifeless? There’s a little more to me than you knew, and a whole much more I circled around when deciding a chance would be glory.-

Abster Asgard: the field you want to be in. This is one of the best places to go.They have an active news station here that lends out thier studio to MATC and if you take that degree you end will work with people who are actively in the feild. They get you hands on with equipment within the 1st 2 weeks consistently and are very accommodating for accessibility. Half these reviews are reviewing the school as a whole... and you should not go here for a school name you should go here for hands on experience. I will say the school body is unhelpful and if you really want help go through you teachers and program heads.

T3LLA: Great school if you’re ready to buckle down and focus! Universities can have a lot going on and be really distracting, but this school has a balance. There’s definitely fun activities every now and then but when it comes to the academics, they will not leave you hanging either. The classroom sizes are reasonable, giving you the chance to have all of your questions heard and answered.

Alexander Salas: My experience in MATC IT Computer Support Specialist program is limited but good so far. I chose to pursue this degree because it lines up well with my current work experience and career goals. So far, I have been able to take all my classes online with no scheduled class times, so I can complete assignments at my own pace without interfering with my work schedule. Another thing this program does well, is that it offers options to achieve many different certifications on your way to a degree. They also work with businesses to help their student get jobs after graduating. I would recommend this program to someone looking to get into IT Support as a career.

Britanni Hildenbrand: I am in my sixth week taking online courses at MATC. I have chosen the IT Support Associate Degree program, for two reasons: One the program is only two years, I’ll be able to launch into the job market faster, and because IT is such a diverse, and fast growing career path, I know I will find a fit into the IT world upon graduation. I chose MATC because MATC is convenient and conventional. I can take classes online, at my own pace, and be on campus for the classes I need more focus and dedication to. This IT program combined with my 10 plus years customer service experience, I know I will be able to reach any career goal I set. Now, while my interest in computers and knack for problem solving I know this career path will be suitable for me, however, to any prospective student looking for a quick money type of career, this program is not for you. This program consists of lots of physical and mental work, also taking consideration of the customers you are serving. If a prospective student welcomes challenges and is comfortable with asking questions and not feeling intimidated by the mass amount of information you will retain then this is a program for you. Prospective students should also be aware that they don’t have to work or figure stuff out alone, one of my favorite accommodations is having access to tutoring, whether online or in person- at all campuses. Fellow future students should also know that acquiring their degree at MATC is a smart money move, students can save thousands of dollars getting their education here, as opposed to a four year college/university. Future students should also know that credits will transfer to a four year college such as MSOE or UWM.

Kipi Guentner: I've worked here for decades after being a student here myself.

Milwaukee Area Technical College West Allis Campus: what do users think?

Jennifer Adongo: I think that because of its ever-changing nature, technology has always piqued my curiosity. I am immensely satisfied with the ever-changing world of IT, where each day brings new difficulties and opportunities for growth. To remain relevant, one must keep up with the latest innovations. Naturally, I gravitated toward an IT job, lured to the promise of overcoming technological challenges and assisting others in navigating the digital domain.I stumbled upon that among the many alternatives available, the IT Support Specialist Program at MATC's West Allis location in Milwaukee distinguishes it due to its comprehensive curriculum and practical approach. I noticed that this program not only communicates academic knowledge but also supplies invaluable hands-on experience, which is essential in the IT business. The instructors, who are esteemed experts in their fields, strengthen the learning environment by transferring real-world perspectives into the classroom. The decision to enroll in MATC's IT Computer Support program was motivated when I became aware of its exceptional reputation and constant dedication to equipping students for profitable careers in the IT profession. With a long history of generating qualified professionals, MATC's cost was also an important consideration in my decision-making process.I am convinced that the program supplied by MATC will help me achieve my career goals of becoming an IT professional. From both software and hardware diagnostics through networking and cybersecurity, the training covers a wide range of important topics. The inclusion of hands-on labs and possible internships delivers practical experience and gives you a competitive advantage in the employment market. What divides the IT Computer Support degree is its primary focus on practical skills. The projects reflect real-world IT scenarios, allowing for a smooth transition into a professional job. Furthermore, the curriculum includes excellent tools for certification preparation, which is an important component of job progression in the IT field. The pleasant learning environment at MATC's West Allis campus, along with modern facilities, well-equipped labs, and extensive library resources, adds to the educational experience. Furthermore, the school's flexible schedule choices meet the needs of employed individuals, allowing them to continue their education without interruption. With regard to prospective students taking on a similar journey, I advocate the following: fully involve yourself in the educational environment, seek guidance via instructors and peers whenever possible, maintain an insatiable curiosity about emerging technologies, and take advantage of internships in order to gain practical experience. Remember to enjoy the journey, since working in IT can be both tough and rewarding.

Yaqueline De Armas: Hello. I would like to know what the program is like to study English. I appreciate you answering me 🌹 Greetings.

Jessica Cox: I'm at the West Allis Campus studying for ITUSP, usually every other Monday and Thursday. I choose this for more then just to land a job in the field but also to improve on my understanding on computers and to better improve my communication to others. I personally cannot compare since this is the only college I have gone to for this, however I will say the staff here are phenomenal at what they do and help to the best of their abilities. I choose MATC for IT support because it was the closest campus to me and my bf recommended it to me when he was going to MATC for a completely different degree. I feel this is a good degree for those who enjoy problem solving, love for computers and technology and well those who would like to know more about their own devices so they can troubleshoot on their own and save themselves some money in the long run. I do feel it would be good to navigate back to being in the classroom more for technical stuff however since it can be challenging to do from home at times if you need help. Or at least offer both options, but that is more a personal opinion. The campus is otherwise amazing and I would recommend it if you have an interest in IT or any other degree.

Bea Marie: I have two remaining classes solely online, as well. I enjoy attending the West Allis campus because I am close to work. I like that after class I can utilize the computer lab or library to work on class assignments. It is a much quieter environment than the downtown college, which is a huge plus for me. Dr. Martinez is a wonderful professor and makes networking much easier to understand when I attend the in class sessions, allowing me to feel more confident in working in the IT field. If you are interested in IT you should consider reaching out to one of the Pathway Advisors to help you choose which program you would like to pursue

Me: The ladies in the financial aid office are the nicest, most helpful professionals I have ever had to deal with. Thank you for your knowledge and support.
