Kavita Tawadarre: As I am into singing and dance, my kathak friend who is a kathak artistic director introduced me to Danceworks. a vibrant dance studio located in heart of milwaukee downtown.As i am relatively new to other non Bollywood dance forms, I was eager to explore the magic of movements, workouts and rhythms. Overall welcoming atmosphere, the expertise of the instructors, and the exhilarating dance class I attended is just amazing.This place is definitely the best place for kids to learn and grow in dance art form. Highly recommended place and good wishes to the team

MILWAUKEE (April 19, 2023) – Marcus Performing Arts Center (MPAC) is presenting a weeklong residency with Nrityagram, a renowned Indian dance company who is dedicated to bringing Odissi – one of the oldest dance styles in the world – to audiences worldwide. Led by Artistic Director Surupa Sen, their traditional practice is infused with a bright, contemporary spirit, which has captured the imagination of people around the globe.
The multi-day engagement focusing on the art of classical Indian dance will feature artists from Nrityagram leading community workshops, a lecture/demonstration, a student matinee performance for over 1,500 area youth, and a public performance with a post-show talkback.

MILWAUKEE (May 17, 2023) – Downtown Milwaukee will welcome a new immersive public art installation to the Marcus Performing Arts Center Outdoor Grounds in July 2023 with the return of Rainbow Summer: HIGHLIGHT featuring Evanescent. Marcus Performing Arts Center (MPAC) and Milwaukee Downtown, BID #21 are partnering to bring the internationally touring installation “Evanescent” by Atelier Sisu to the MPAC Outdoor Grounds for one week only, July 18 – 22, along with five nights of free public performances.
Capitalizing on the success of “Lightfield” by HYBYCOZO, presented by Johnson Financial Group, that transformed Cathedral Square Park into an immersive public art installation, “Evanescent” by Atelier Sisu will feature larger-than-life “art-chitecture” (the intersection of art and architecture).
As part of Rainbow Summer: HIGHLIGHT featuring Evanescent, each night will feature a free public performance with live music from local and regional artists, vendor markets, food trucks, activities, and more. Giglinto brings more than 25 years of leadership experience with two of the world’s most prominent performing arts organizations to the role of MPAC President & CEO. Giglinto will join MPAC in late July.

Matt Collins: Watched Shen Yun and enjoyed the show. The theatre was very nice however there were a number of people near us who needed assistance getting to their seats but no ushers stepped in to help them.
patricia limbach: A very nice venue for shows and performances. Seating is a nice size and comfortable. Well kept and maintained, with an appropriate amount of staff. Finding your seat is easy once you know the layout, however the staff was extremely helpful.Nice service area, but bar area seating was very limited to just a few tables. A large complex but fairly easy to navigate. Public parking structure about a block away but pricey.Would highly recommend this venue for a performance or show.
Jera Wyn: It's really a great theater. Somehow, I always manage to have excellent seats, but I suspect there isn't a bad view in the house.

Cassie Cosgrove: My fiancé and I took father/daughter and mother/son dance lessons here. We did two 40 minutes lessons back to back and time flew by. I wasn’t sure what to expect but we had a ton of fun. Our instructors Natalie and Sodo were phenomenal. They went at our pace, taught us a few styles of dance, and then worked on applying some of that to the songs we had picked up. I highly recommend coming here if you are looking for lessons for a wedding dance!

We have found the lessons to be exciting, professional and a great activity for our date nights. The staff at FA are welcoming, friendly and energetic. Edward Burr: My last 2 years at Fred Astaire have been a dream! I started dancing kind of as a joke. I was traveling to Brazil for my friends wedding and thought I'd learn to Samba in a couple months to prepare. What I found was an energetic and supportive community of like-minded individuals. Positive, supportive, and understanding. And that's just the other students. The instructors are even better. You will not regret your time here. You will feel uncomfortable but you will get past it and on the other side is an unparalleled sense of confidence. And you'll look great doing it!
Timothy Wade: but also interact with the staff. The staff is fun to work with and they keep you focused on whatever dance or routine you are doing. I would recommend going to Fred Astaire because learning the dances and routines will keep you fit and get to interact with staff that enjoy what they do and wants you to have as much fun as they do.
Kate Lorenz: Dancing at Fred Astaire of Milwaukee is more than dancing. It's like a wonderful party every time I walk through the door. Wonderful teachers and staff. Amazing fellow students who have become dear friends. And invigorating learning that is good for brain and body, all while smiling from ear to ear throughout each lesson. I walk out tired but very, very happy!

Naomi Cartee: Cool ballroom. Had a nice experience. Parking is horrible though. Definitely would recommend Uber.
Jeanette Mann: The best time!!! Everything including the bathrooms are clean. Many stairs as there are multiple stages.

Eric O'Dell: Attended a show at the Eagles Ballroom and largely had a good time. Things could be better marked but the worst part was the lack of air conditioning. It was 77 degrees outside and the best they could do was open some windows. Air ended up stagnant and super humid. It was less noticeable during the show but in between sets it was miserable and the room temperature $5 bottles of Costco water didn’t help.

Everyone has their own unique feel and touch and that's what makes it fun.Whether you are a total beginner or have danced before, you will find fun, engaging classes to learn combos or further solidify fundamentals.Aside from the classes, you will also find a vibrant community of people from all walks of life who are passionate about dance and growing together.I am sad to be leaving Milwaukee, but I am so grateful to have found my people, as well as myself, at this studio. ejk2911: They don't really focus on technique. Just a bunch of turn patterns. At the end of the class everyone is usually doing their own thing. But it's nice that they teach a lot of dance patterns. Most places are stingy with turn patterns.

That was our unforgettable experience at the Milwaukee Ballet's recent rendition of Dracula.As a parent, it's a proud moment when you see your son on stage. Remi Wagner, who's part of MBII, didn't just perform—he lived through all three acts. The gleam in his eyes and the commitment in his every move were a testament to the brilliant training he has received at the Milwaukee Ballet.The choreography, masterfully designed by Michael Pink, was nothing short of magnificent. It was as if the dancers were paintbrushes, and the stage was their canvas. The fluid moves, coupled with the eerie, yet captivating storyline, made the choreography both gorgeous and creepy. It's a paradox that only a genius like Michael Pink could pull off.And can we talk about the costumes and set design? Stunning doesn't even begin to describe it. Imagine stepping into a world that's hauntingly beautiful, where every thread, every prop, and every piece of scenery builds on the story's dark allure.The orchestra, ah! They were the invisible narrators, bringing Bram Stoker's tale to life. The music was so in tune with the narrative that you could close your eyes and still feel the story progress, heightening every emotion and capturing the essence of each scene.Saving the best for last—Davit Hovhannisyan as Dracula. To say his performance was mesmerizing would be an understatement. This was Davit's final career performance, and oh, what a way to cap off an illustrious journey! His portrayal was a masterclass, capturing the torment and charisma of Dracula with sublime elegance.If I could give this performance more than five stars, I would. It was an evening that left us spellbound, drawing us into its dark, fantastical world, and releasing us back into reality only after the curtains closed. Catch it if you can, folks. David Boman: The program was the every other year choreography competition and was at the small Baumgartner Center and not at the PAC. We have been season ticket holders for over 20 years. The choreography and the dancers performance was amongst the best ever for the years we have attended the competition. Enjoyed the intimacy of the Baumgartner Center. At my being just over six feet tall the amount of leg room was inadequate combined with no arm room between seats, it was constricting. The program was on a shorter side and I was physically quite uncomfortable by the end. That being said I do look forward to more performances there, but only for shorter programs.
Ryan Landowski: My daughter who was born with Spina Bifida takes an adaptive Ballet class. She loves and adores everyone who teaches the class as well the friends she made in the past few years. 5⭐ all the way .Thank you Milwaukee Ballet for thinking about the ones who may not be able to walk ... or that aren't verbal. Thank you for making my daughter feel like everyone else even if it's for a few weeks out of the year !!!!!!!!!!

Bruce Heilbrun: Fun little theatre in the round! Three sides, almost every seat is great. Good acoustics. Great cookies, eat in the lobby, no food in the theatre! Drinks bought, at the show, allowed.
Mary Boyle: An intimate, modern and comfortable theater that is easy to get to with decent parking. Both Next Act Theatre Company and Renaissance Theaterworks use this space, and they are two of Milwaukee's best small theatre companies.
Satyaki “Seth” Mitra: I absolutely loved Next Act Theatre's rendition of 'The Mousetrap' by Agatha Christie. The exceptionally talented cast delivered a spellbinding performance that left me thoroughly impressed and immersed in the mystery unfolding on stage.
