Jessica Rodin: Took home the lasagna bolognese. Delicious, my husband and I thought it was the best we have ever had. He wanted to add sauce to it and I said no and we both agreed it was good without doctoring it up. Love their steaks too.
Kendrick Yandell: and get you hands on some high-quality meat.In addition to great fresh steaks and burgers, they also sell frozen bison, elk, and a variety of other refrigerated and frozen meats. We love the ground bison. It’s lean and super flavorful. We also buy fresh salmon and eggs frequently. The taste of their eggs is also superior to chain-store-bought eggs. I’m not a fan of their fresh sausages for some reason, but it’s probably just a personal preference.The staff is super friendly, prompt, and attentive. They are always prepared to provide thoughtful guidance if you need help deciding what to get. Their prices reflect the quality of their product and service.

Gregory Strack: I had 2 deer done at bunzels this year. De-boned & vacuum sealed the meat up north. Froze it right away then brought it to Bunzels a day later. I got 120 pounds of brats, polish, steaks, jerky, hot dogs, cheddar jalapeño stix, cheddar jalapeño brats, summer sausage, etc.Very happy with Bunzels. They finished my deer in under a week. Could I get my deer processed up north for a little less? Yes but I’d also lose 6 hours driving to get it and gas money. Cost evens out. I’ll always get my deer done at Bunzels

Paul Becker: I live in SE Milwaukee and driving up to Sheboygan for sausage and stix and waiting 4 months was getting old. Bunzel's has the best tasting sausage, turnaround was just a few weeks and the reputation speaks for itself. Bunzel's is my new go-to for venison processing.They use 50% pork which is high and that drives up the price - but my group does all the butchering so bringing trimmings in for sausage is worth their expertise. Even people who don't like venison sausage like Bunzel's sausage.

Greg is an awesome guy to deal with, he is quick, knows what he's doing, and I have never had better venison sausage made anyplace. On top of that, the price is about $2 less per pound as compared to other places in town. People that try anything I get from them have instant remorse for taking their deer anyplace else. Philip Gissen: We bought a 16 pound brisket at Bunzel’s to cook and serve at our Passover seder. After braising in our special gravy for 48 hours, twelve of us sat down and dined on the most tender brisket I ever tasted. Despite the new trendy, social media driven butchers in town, Bunzel’s is still the best.I should say, the 12 of us weren’t braised. I was referring to the brisket.

Complete Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter dinners can be preordered and accommodate both small and large gatherings. It's worthwhile to sign up for the weekly email specials that are offered every Wednesday and Thursday! They have over 35 different sausages made by their staff to choose from, including the State Champion Honey Mustard brat! It's easy to see why Bunzel's consistently is awarded honors for superior products and service! My number one place to go for top notch meat and customer service!
James Dean: Absolutely excellent fresh meat market. They have a wide variety of frozen products that generally aren’t available other places. They also have sausages, a very small selection of vegetables if you’ve forgotten something from the grocery store, a few isles of regular food-stuff, and a prepared food counter. They will bend over backwards to make you happy. That being said, their prices are very high; you are paying for a premium food experience.

I picked up a couple of steaks that we grilled and they were excellent.Prices were good for the quality, and the fact that you are supporting a local business that sells meats without hormones or antibiotics. Joseph Tjader: Best brats in Milwaukee. They came out with a few new ones. The Gorgonzola one is 🔥🔥. Funny though. I asked a guy at the meat counter on April 7th about if they had any left in back because their freezer display was out of them and his response was "Huh?" I informed him that they have new brats. And he's like "oh ok."

Drove 26 miles round trip for some national champion Jerky and I was not disappointed at all. I will be back!Prices were good, good selection, and it was clean. Maureen Lange: Ok, so we have had Italian sausages from every single "fantastic" deli/shop/store in the area for the last 20 years and Rupenas is the BEST as far as Italian sausages go. Absolutely blows Gloriosos, Ray's, Sendiks, Karl's, and Robert's away. And do not miss their turmeric famous chicken breasts either. So glad we stopped by, it was a staple in the family 25 years ago as our extended family ordered this food often but once Aunt Susie died we never had it anymore. We make the trek from the west side of Waukesha now often but it's ok, we LOVE it!!

Let me tell you, I haven't felt that welcomed anywhere in a long time. Everyone said "hi" they were friendly, they were helpful. They are a bit more expensive than the big chains but far better customer service. And my sandwich from the cafe is delicious. Thank you Rupena's.

They have outstanding products-4 generations of my family are particularly addicted to the Hungarian Summer Sausage, the many varieties of brats, many smoked meat items, and hand cut to order chops and steaks. There is not a holiday celebration at my home that does not feature something from The House of Home Made Sausage. Sam, Nikki and Vinny are always so helpful and a real pleasure to deal with. They greet you by name and make you feel like a valued customer. I just picked up my order for the holidays, and cannot wait to share it with my guests.

Everything they produce is of top quality but my favorites are the smoked pork chops, Chorizo, and hot pepper sticks/hungarian summer sausage. And they obviously have a good beef supplier because their steaks are of the cleanest, freshest quality steaks I've ever had-consistantly every time. Thanks for keeping the lights on all these years.
