Cyndi Kramer: An outstanding first visit! Our group of eight was pleasantly greeted and was able to be seated without reservations. Several of our party had never had tapas and they definitely enjoyed the experience. Drinks were good, all the dishes were delicious. Our server was fantastic - she handled a messy separate checks situation with helpfulness and good nature, we loved her! The atmosphere was wood and iron with low lighting and while we were a group, this would be truly wonderful as a romantic night out for couples.

Stephen Hudson: Fantastic, first time inside the building and it's gorgeous. Bartolotta catering made the food at every station delicious. Also, there was little to no waiting, which is common for mothers day brunches. That alone made it worth the price.

Hannah Davis: We got married a few weeks ago and we are so incredibly happy with our decision to have our reception at The Grain Exchange. Maria and Christean were phenomenal to work with - from the initial consultation through the day of the event. Everything, from the gorgeous room to the fantastic food to the flow of events, was spectacular. I had many people comment that the food was the best they've had at a wedding. That's what you get with Bartolotta's! The day was above and beyond what we had hoped for and we can't recommend the team at The Grain Exchange highly enough.

José Francisco Bravo: I found out about Onesto while I was living in Milwaukee for a year. From the very first night it has always been an amazing experience. The servers are always very helpful and knowledgeable about the menu. The food is absolutely amazing. You can definitely taste the freshness and the quality of the ingredients, the kitchen staff must definitely be passionate about what they create. We recently went for an anniversary dinner, and it was just as amazing as always. Highly recommend if you’re in Milwaukee!

Marta the owner is a very sweet lady and made sure I received all the info needed to organize my event. The staff at the event was very friendly and helpful. My guest loved the vibes, aesthetics and size of the venue. Will definitely recommend and consider again for future events.
Ara: We chose their venue for our wedding this weekend and we could not have chosen anything better! Martha helped me plan the wedding fast with little time. She set upa plan from start to finish and made sure everything flowed perfect the day of our wedding. Their venue is beautiful, elegant, the music was nice, food was amazing, and decorations she set up made the place look amazing. We received a ton of compliments from our guests about how beautiful the place looked. Martha and her team were very attentive the entire time and made us feel important and special on our day! I would definitely recommend this venue to everyone that wants to have a stress free party because Martha knows what she is doing and has the expertise to help your event be a success! If I could give them 10 stars I would!

The owner, Marta, along with her staff, Fran and Morgan, executed the most amazing evening for our friends and family. The food was mouth-watering delicious! The service was exceptionally professional! There were a lot of people behind the scenes that also made our night extra special! Marta was a pleasure to organize this event with and made it very easy for me being that I am from out of the Milwaukee area. She worked her magic in preparing the meal selections to accommodate our unique dietary needs! Last, but certainly not least, try the meatballs!! They are heavenly!!

Andrew Ferguson: We absolutely loved having our event at The Box, and planning with Jamie Berger and Levine was such a treat! We originally had our wedding celebration planned for May of 2020, then due to covid moved to October 2020, then once again to October of 2021. They could not have been more accommodating for us moving our event 2x, during a time where their business I am sure was taking a hit due to the pandemic. Both Jamie’s were always incredibly responsive and accommodating to whatever we needed during the whole process.When it came the day of, they came in even a bit earlier than our contract time to make sure the band could setup on time. During the actual event, I don’t think it could have possibly gone smoother than it did. Our manager Katelynn had everything under control, the bartenders were great and our guests never had to wait for a drink, and when it came tear down time Katelynn had helped pack all of our decorations so we could continue to go and enjoy ourselves.Thanks again to both Jamie and Jaime for helping us have such an amazing day, and would 1000% recommend using The Box for any sort of event.
Cathy Fischer: We hosted our daughter's wedding ceremony at The Box this past weekend. Working with Jamie Berger was an absolute joy. She was so accommodating, had great insight for setup and was so helpful with decisions at Rehearsal and a major player on Wedding Day. Jamie has a warm personality mixed with humor that chased all my anxiety away. We had a wedding party of 16 in addition to the Bride and Groom and had seating for 170 at the Ceremony and the venue was plenty spacious. I would highly recommend The Box for an event and couldn't be more pleased with our experience.

I can’t even imagine all the work that went into getting the space ready. All I know is that when we walked in I knew my daughter’s vision had come to life. Jamie nailed the ambience. The staff that night was excellent —- very quick to remove any dirty dishes or glasses. All seemed very friendly and dressed well. The bartenders were particularly fun. For me, it was a great experience from beginning to end. I highly recommend The Box!

Sam Boyle: Where do I begin? First of all, Jaime and her staff were very friendly and willing to work with us with everything going on with the pandemic. They were gracious enough to let us postpone our party until the following year which allowed us to get our whole family to the party. Leading up to the party, they helped us with everything we could think of along the way. From planning to catering to working with the band that we hired. My wife and I couldn't be happier with how everything went, and everyone that attended said they loved the venue. Highly recommend!
Amarii Hall: The Box is an absolute gem in the city of Milwaukee. Not only is it in the heart of downtown, but it also is the perfect venue for your next event. I love the versatility this space has and there is so much room for creativity. Being in contact with the owners and coordinators of the space has truly been an eventful experience and I would highly recommend getting to know them. My event was pushed back one day because of the Bucks finals and they were more than understanding, they were flexible. If you're looking for a space to have your event with a perfect set up and a welcoming environment, this is the place for you. 10/10, would recommend.

Scott Swosinski: We attended the La Merenda pop up Easter brunch at the event space at the old Engine company no.3. The food is always superb. The venue is stunning inside. The service is tops. The menu had breakfast as well as lunch tapas to share. Look for more of these popup kitchen events.
Daniel Smith: The elegant and pristine palace the is the Engine Company Number three is poetic in the way of food. The atmosphere is a certain je ne sais quoi if a may be so bold. Hmmm. Which I may!! If you have yet to go treat yourself, just tell them Dan sent you. It will do nothing for you but it sounds cool to act like you know someone working there.

Amy: I was expecting smaller portions when I heard their brunch described as a tapas situation-- but really, everything was very well portioned. The hot chocolate isn't super sweet, so if that's something that will break your heart do not order it.All dishes were superb, perfectly seasoned and apportioned. Patatas bravas perfectly seasoned, the chorizo add-on is a MUST. Shakshuka could have more bread served with it-- there's not enough to really use it to eat the amount of tomato/pepper mixture that you get. The hostess/serving staff didn't seem to be fully attentive, but they weren't impolite and the dish that wasn't brought out didn't appear on the bill so it seemed she just missed the order altogether.

As a group that had never done a photography session like this, we weren't sure what to expect but Laurelyn walked us through the process and put us at ease that we could definitely get the pictures we wanted within our allotted time frame. We love the photos we received and we have already gotten many compliments on how professional they are. We will definitely use Laurelyn again in the future and highly recommend her for your brand photography session!

After a tasting at a more well-known obvious choice for a wedding cake bakery we were blown away by how good deb's cake/frosting/fruit/ganache tasted in comparison. Hands down a good choice. She was easy to reach as the wedding drew closer, sat down with us a second time to make sure everything was all set, and delivered the cake herself day-of, wishing us well right before we walked down the aisle! Carie Adrian: Hands down the BEST bridal center ever. I requested an appointment and was confirmed for the next day! Carrie was absolutely amazing. She listened to all my wants and needs plus paid attention to details I knew I didn't want. She offered suggestions and knew instantly when the dress just wasn't it. After trying on 3 dress she took my feedback and picked a dress I never even looked at. IT WAS THE ONE!!! I could have tried on more but once in the dressing room I knew I didn't have too. Holly Eisenhardt: We had our high school reunion in the large basement room in Oct. I can't possibly recommend it enough! Kurt went above and beyond to ensure we had a wonderful space to party in that met our specifications for sound, table placement, drink options, and plenty of food! The combination of their table decor and ours made a customized, special atmosphere to celebrate in. I received so many compliments on the party and really the Bavarian Bierhaus did it all!

Still delicious though.The only problem we had with this place was that it was extremely loud inside and crowded. Many people were standing around the tables and hanging out rather than sitting in their seats, which made it feel very cramped and increased the noise level significantly.Parking: Huge open lot with plenty of spotsKid-friendliness: Kids are welcome and the polka band allows the kids to come up and play instruments with them and have a good time. They will even play and sing happy birthday, which is always fun

Kasespätzle was absolutely incredible - I could drink that sauce, the noodles were perfectly tender, and the toppings balanced it perfectly. Can’t wait to go back!Vegetarian options: They have a small menu with beyond and beet options of German and German/American classics. Additionally, a couple of the main menu options are vegetarian.Dietary restrictions: Gluten - one of my party members cannot eat gluten. They were able to order any of the sausages. Many additional gf menu options. Not the place for someone who is vegetarian AND gluten free, but the options are good for our mixed diet party.

Eleanor Zutz: , they reinforced it as best they could without knowing how it needed to be reinforced. The topper was heavy, and they put a piece of cardboard on top of the cake to support, but there was no way to stick the topper into the cake, so it ended up getting knocked off and shattering We had a wonderful team that replaced the topper with a rose, and it still looked just as beautiful.

Megan Seiler: Really loved my experience with Bella Bridesmaid. I worked with Lexi, she was amazing at listening to my needs and pulled dressed in my color palate. I chose this store because I had girls in NYC AND Boston- locations in both those areas, so everyone was able to see and try on their dresses before purchasing. We had a wide range of budgets as well therefore they could choose accordingly. The mix match style turned out so beautifully, I couldn’t be happier. Thank you so much

Just as I was about to settle for an online dress, I made an appointment at Bella Bridesmaids in Milwaukee and it was the best decision ever! I found the perfect dress for my bridesmaids and they fell in love with it. Andrea was wonderful to work with and made the process go so smoothly. The dresses were beautiful!! I couldn’t be happier. Brian J. OSullivan: I didn’t expect much, but was very pleasantly surprised! What was the party of 42 adults and two boys, staying at a nearby hotel for a baseball tournament. We need something convenient and walking distance to our hotel. All of our food was very good. Mild but good flavoring, and not at all greasy like some Mexican dishes. I had Chicken El Beso- it was great. Tacos & enchiladas were good as well. The atmosphere wasn’t bad either & they have a very nice outdoor/secluded patio. If you are local, it is worth a try- I think you’ll enjoy!
Melonie P: Fast and friendly service. Ordered margaritas 🍹 😋. The fajitas, not so much. They came with this red, a little spicy sauce on it, it over powered the meat-veggies. To make matters worse, I took the leftovers home, they provide paper bag, well I set it on my car seat and drove home-to find that red sauce leaked out of the container thru the bag and onto my light car interior!! Scrubbing didn't budge the red stain😡😵💫
Lisa R: This is our go to place when we want fajitas! Their guacamole bowl is delicious. You are govern chips and red salsa once your seated. ASK FOR THE GREEN SALSA! It's really good When doing carry out, make sure you check that the order is correct before leaving. We have gotten incorrect items several times but still feel the restaurant has good food so as long as we check before leaving we are good.

Jeffrey Douglas: I've been staying at the Riverfront Holiday Inn for several months and I enjoy the good service and friendly staff. Angela, the hotel manager is always accommodating and helpful if I ever have concerns. I like hotel living and this is the place to be for business or recreation. The view of the Milwaukee River is superb and I would recommend this hotel for anyone planning a visit to Milwaukee. Photo included was taken by me.Rooms: Half of the hotel rooms overlook the river.

Susan Cripps: Everyone has been so nice. TaMia on the evening of 12/17/2023 was especially helpful and went above and beyond to help me. She was so kind and never once showed anything but kindness. I can’t say how much I appreciate her. The server when I had breakfast was very friendly and was the only one there, so she did wonderful. Great job by all.
